The Illio Maris Hotel at Mykonos has amazing windmill view from our hotel room balcony. The hotel also has a beautiful swimming pool and good breakfast. The hotel location is only 3-5 minutes from the Mykonos shopping streets and walkable to windmill and little venice. Very convenient.

The room and bathroom were a little basic and could do with updating. However, both were spotlessly clean and the rest of the hotel is really nice. There is a nice view out over the water. The staff are all really friendly and warm, and the breakfast was good, with fried and scrambled eggs, bacon, cold meats and cheeses, croissants, Greek yoghurt etc. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again.

Great stay in Mykonos

This room is conveniently located in Mykonos. Hotel is a short walk down to the city center where there are lots of restaurants and shops. The room is a bit small for three people but totally adequate for our stay. We were only in the room to sleep. The beds were comfortable and the location is quiet. Hotel staff is great!

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff-truly so helpful and kind to us and provided so many incredible recommendations. The pool area is such a vibe with great music. This hotel is in the best area, very walkable to little Venice and so many shops and restaurants/bars. Felt very safe walking home at night. Would highly recommend!

Overall we had a great stay at this property. It is in the most perfect location. It is probably the closest hotel to where all the action is. The pool was great, the staff was great, the AC worked great in our room. The only 2 downsides were 1. We asked one of the front desk workers if it was possible to do a later check out because our flight was at 3pm and checkout is 11am and it’s a 15 min drive to the airport. He said no because they had a lot of people checking out the same day as us. Which to me, makes no sense. If a lot of people are checking out, then there are a lot of rooms going to be needing cleaned and then there will be rooms available to anyone checking in early. It was something we would have even paid for but it seems like that was not an accommodation they are willing to give which is a shame. Number 2. Is the shower is very irritating. It is one of those “no door” showers so the water gets everywhere on the floor. And it is attached by an old weak hook, so every time you turn the water off, it jerks the hose and falls completely to the floor. That was frustrating. But other than that it was an amazing stay and I’d stay there again.

Excellent property, a short walk to town. it is a bit uphill coming back to the hotel. Very nice pool and excellent welcome drinks. Super friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was great. Onsite parking is amazing and easy to access. The room was great with an amazing view of the water and sunset. Stayed for 10 days or so, loved it and would highly recommend it.

Nice boutique hotel. Room was clean and well-equipped, with an extremely comfortable bed. Concierge staff were friendly and provided great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Hotel is located 2 short blocks from Fabrika bus station, where you can hop on a bus and transit to most parts of the island. Minor suggestions for improvements include adding blackout curtains in the rooms, and soundproofing the street side rooms a little better. Also, the administrator of the website should inform prospective guests about the preferential rates for airport transfers that they offer through the hotel. Other than these minor issues, it was a perfect stay, and I would happily book this property again.

The hotel was located at a prime location. Just a nice 8 minute walk to Mykonos town and to all attractions. Staff was friendly and helped us with any questions. This hotel was fantastic. The staff is extremely friendly and always ready to assist you with a smile on their faces. Rooms were very clean, cleaning services are offered daily. The view from the pool is breathtaking. Overall my experience at this hotel was a 10/10 i highly recommend.

Wonderful time staying at Ilio Maris for 3 nights. Right from arranging a pick up from the hotel to swift check-in, everything was spot on.! The staff is remarkable and helps you to book cars, ATVs or generally suggest you places to be. The swimming pool is gorgeous and we loved it. Quick tip- Room Cleo a 3 people family room has it's view blocked. The view from the other 1st floor rooms would be unparalleled.! A safe and great location, close to the chora and very conveniently located to move around

Poor Wi-Fi speed, music around the pool is a bit loud, breakfast was good, located on a hill outside of the city but walking distance, rooms are small, staff are nice, the number of good rooms with a nice view is limited at this property, appreciated the complimentary transportation from the airport/port.

I’d read questionable reviews about the surrounding Mykonos hotels (you overpay for average). That said- this hotel was great for the price. Clean, comfortable bed/room, extremely accessible to everything you want to explore/do in old town- but also just up the hill from the nightlife, so it’s a bit more peaceful in the wee hours (they have a great pool scene during day/eve). Views outstanding and staff were very helpful during my quick stay.

This property was outstanding. Love being so close to downtown ( little Venice, ) and all the shopping. The pool is spectacular. The service is amazing. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It’s also great to have transportation on them. I can’t say enough about this property. You can’t go wrong.

The hotel offer a complimentary pick up service from the port and then back to the airport which was great. The hotel is only 100 metres away from the start of the main town, however, that short walk felt really dangerous as there are no proper sidewalks and the traffic is really busy. It was a struggle crossing the road at the bottom with vehicles, buses, scooters and quad bikes all racing past. Obviously this is not the fault of the hotel. The journey up the short hill back to the hotel of a night was a killer even though it only took 2 minutes. Wear comfortable shoes/pumps.

The communal areas were all spotless. The swimming pool area was amazing. We always got a sunbed. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food as well as a nice selection of pastries.

The room was just OK. The bath was old fashioned with a fixed shower screen so it felt claustrophobic.

Our safe was broke and we were told it would get fixed the next day. This meant we had to keep our passports and cash with us. The safe was never fixed during our stay.

My only complaint was the level of music by the pool. It was absolutely far too loud. In fact, I wondered if the noise put people off relaxing by the pool and that’s why there were always beds free. You literally couldn’t hear yourself speak.

Mykonos is really expensive. Cocktails start at 18 euros.

Very nice property with a gorgeous pool area overlooking the water, just a few minutes' walk from the centre of town. Room was modern and well kept, but mine faced onto the parking lot so there was some road noise at night. Staff was very welcoming and helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay.

Amazing service and location. Clean!

As a solo traveler, I felt extremely safe. Location was everything. I was 3 minutes walking away from a wine store, 4 mins walking from restaurants and about 8 minutes from the tourist area of the coast. So many ships and restaurants.

The hotel breakfast was phenomenal and the staff was very very accommodating, understanding and communicative.

Great place to stay in Mykonos

We had one night in Mykonos and found this hotel online. Recommendations were good so we booked. It is a close to the walking area as you can get without being in the walking area. Walking in the area is dodgy but we managed even with my wife's mobility issues. Met us with a sign at the ferry and took us to the airport. Hotel pool is a great place to spend time. We had to be out of the room by 11 but we could lounge at the pool and they have baggage storage and a great shower and changing area to get ready for a flight. Music at the pool was good (my wife got tired of it) but all good and trendy. Food by the pool was excellent and exceptional view

Location of this property is amazing. Walkable distance to main attractions and shopping. The breakfast was pretty good and was happy with the coffee options. The views from the pool area is great.

The hotel is beautiful with the most picturesque view of the island, including the windmills, the Aegean sea and the surrounding cycladic architecture. Plus the staff helped us to find our way around with a map of the area and restaurant recommendations. Love this hotel! The view from our room's balcony was just gorgeous. The room itself was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and gave us some great recommendations on places to eat and have fun. The hotel is very close (like a 3 min walk) to the city center where you can shop, eat, and dance the night away. We didn't get a chance to visit the popular beaches but the bus stop to get there is also super close. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Mykonos!

Average stay

We booked 2 rooms (1 double room and 2 single beds). Our rooms 104 and 105 were next to the reception. It was really loud in the evening and also in the morning. The bathroom was not properly cleaned.
At breakfast, there was not enough bread for everyone and you needed to ask to get the buffet refilled.
Hotel is close to Mykonos town and easy reachable by foot.

The manager to receptionist to the cleaner…and all the way to the servers were extremely kind and friendly. I was absolutely amazed.

I have OCD and the room was spotless! The only thing was the design of the sink causes water to flow down to the floor. However, there is a drainer near the sink.

It is roughly an 8 minute walk to the square. It is pretty close to everything. It’s also only a 20-minute walk to get a covid test.

I highly recommend this hotel!

Unbelievable view of Mykonos town from the room along with a primetime sunset view. The pool area was also great with ample lounge chairs and pool floats, and never was too busy so felt like you had the place to yourself.

Walk to town was less than 5 minutes, so it was easily accessed along with the bus to get you to all the beach towns for ~2 Euro.

The breakfast buffet wasn't anything to write home about, but had a coffee machine and pastries to start the day.

Overall our stay was amazing here and was the perfect location for those looking to be close to Mykonos Town. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they also offer a free shuttle service to and from the port.
