We had an unobstructed ocean view (I’m sure other views are available). Lots of dining options, and of course there’s a water park, plus 2 or 3 beaches to walk that are not as crowded. Lots of families with kids — which could be good or bad, depending on your preference.

Atlantis is a mature property and very much in need of renovations. Staff was excellent in every department. The Bahamas are over built at this time and over priced by all people I’ve spoken with.

Food, I like good food but, you will be hard pressed to find a very good meal. Be warned do-not eat at NABU the high end seafood restaurant we know in the US is an abomination of overpriced tasteless offerings. 3 strikes and their OUT!

Weather this time of the year is spectacular! Low humidity and blue skies.

Royal is the oldest of all properties, youngsters running up and down the halls in the middle of the night. Reservations are not family friendly, required to eat between 5-7pm often there are no reservations at this time. The proeprty was grimy and the resort charged for everything it felt like a scam. Extracting every dollar from you.

The pools and the beach are wonderful. However, there were a few disappointing points:
- Difficulty making restaurant reservations
I believe there are not enough restaurants operating relative to the number of guests. It was extremely difficult to get a reservation between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
- High food and beverage prices
Mineral water is not complimentary, so you have to purchase it, and it cost $9. There are free water dispensers, but the water tastes bad. In general, the restaurants are expensive. I traveled from New York, and my impression is that prices are about 20% higher than in New York.
- Staff were not very friendly
A 15% service charge is included from the start, but despite this, the staff were not particularly friendly.
- Aging room facilities
The shower water pressure was weak.

The hotel was not accommodating. We had inclement weather conditions and there were not helpful. I am traveling with a minor. I was left stranded to find another hotel with no assistance for staff. I did not receive any notification of flight cancellation or delays despite me adding my name and information to be notified

Everything was amazing. Staff were very friendly. Any questions or concerns you had, they were there to help you on the spot. The room was always clean. I went in early February so it was a little chilly, but the sun was always shining, and never any rain. Food was amazing everywhere, especially down by the marina. But things were very expensive. That was the only downside. It’s a beautiful place and a beautiful place for a family vacation. Just be prepared to spend a few extra dollars.

I wish someone from Atlantis had advised us before our stay that extensive construction was planned for the outside face of our rooms balcony. For days, crews on a huge scissor lift were 4-5 stories in the air against the balcony of our room jackhammering pieces of the exterior panels on the building to make repairs. If you spend all day in the water park then it’s no big deal but one of our kids was sick so we spend days listening to that nonsense while he was trying to sleep and recover. Front desk had no interest in reassigning a different room or providing any sort of credit for the noise.

The room size was good. The shower water was cold & the faucet leaked. The bathroom sink was clogged. The Keurig brews coffee grounds into the cups. The sliding door did not close all the way. An expensive trip for all of those issues in one room.

I booked my stay via Expedia, the flights tickets were assigned in group 8-9 both ways. The worst part was we didn't have check in bags but by the time they call out group 8, we were forced to check in ours carry ons.
Now about the hotel... we were on the 16th floor of the west tower. The hotel is OLD, constructions going around everywhere. Some of the most iconic rides were closed for our whole stay. We ordered in room dining at 7pm and it came at 10 with absolutely no salt in food & they didn't even give us salt & pepper on side. The coffee machine didn't work in the room for the whole stay. The bathrooms doors were broken and couldn't be locked. They refused to provide extra pillows on our first night. The TV didn't work for the whole stay. There was a bathroom leak nextdoor and it took them 14hrs to check, by that time our room's carpet was completely drenched. The customer service sucks & honestly they don't care. This was my 1st & last time visiting the so called \"Royal Atlantis\"

We have stayed at Atlantis for 6 years in a row. We have always lived it there. However, this year there were a lot of issues. The ice machine/water on our floor was under renovation, but the one by the pool was also not working. The tv also had issues the whole time, which only really mattered at night, when everyone just wanted to take it easy for a hour before bed. . It kept glitching. The staff which has always been friendly, wasn’t. I’m not sure

We've been at Atlantis many times and we love the place. But it seems that the needed repairs to maintain the hotel are neglected. In our room, the TV system didn't work the entire stay. The phone was also only functional when set on loud speaker. We spent an evening waiting for the 'engineer' to fix the TV and when he showed up 1.5 hours later he only told us he couldn't do anything. There seemed to have been water damage in the hallway outside our room because a loud vent was blowing nonstop day and night. My son was looking forward to the kids club but on Saturday (!) it was closed with zero notice for a 'private event'. Very bad taste to lock out the children from their space to make extra money.

The resort is beautiful, the staff is awesome. The biggest advertisement is the Pyramid/ shark slides and they were closed all weekend. They do not heat the pools or lazy river at all so they were very hard to enjoy. It would be nice if they just bumped up the temp a little bit to be tolerable to use. The jacuzzi wasn’t even heated. It is going to be hard to bring people in during the offseason if they do not address these issues.

The restaurants and resort were great, only complaint is not being able to enjoy the waterpark and pools. The weather during our stay was a comfortable 70 degrees but water temp well below. Ocean was actually warmer than the pools.

The Royal at Atlantis was the perfect place to stay while in the beautiful Bahamas! It had so much to do we stayed busy the entire time that we were there. The room was great, the view was great and walking around the hotel was such a great experience! It had all types of entertainment. This was my first visit to The Bahamas and it will definitely be the last! It was fantastic! Would highly recommend this hotel!

First time at Atlantis. It’s like Mexico meets Las Vegas. We stayed at a the Royal. Rooms are old. Structures are also old like pools , windows and chairs. It’s expensive … but it’s not luxurious…
We should have stayed at the Cove. U don’t have access if you stay at the royal. Which is also annoying… the pools and amenities are better. A better feel of luxury.
Swam with dolphins. That was amazing.
Not sure I would come back. Would have to be for a good reason.

As returning guests, we were disappointed to find that the overall experience has declined significantly since our last visit. Previously, we felt the service and standards were comparable to other luxury family resorts such as Beaches Turks & Caicos. Unfortunately, this trip did not meet those expectations.

Below are the key issues we encountered:

1. Service Quality - The most persistent concern was the overall level of service. Many staff members seemed disengaged, dismissive, or uninterested in resolving even simple requests. We contacted guest services multiple times—for a noise complaint, basic information about the departure lounge opening time, and correcting an error made by the concierge—but none of these were resolved by the call. We ultimately had to go downstairs ourselves to fix the reservation mistake. They cancelled a 7 person and booked a 2 person for us

2. Dining Experience - Service at several restaurants declined noticeably once we ordered tap water, and we frequently encountered aggressive upselling and minimal follow‑up during the meal. At Seafire, our food took almost an hour to arrive.

3. Pool Temperature and slide closures - Throughout the stay, the pools were extremely cold despite being advertised as maintained at 80 degrees. Staff confirmed that the heaters were not functioning, which significantly impacted our ability to enjoy the pool areas. The ocean was warmer than any pools. We were also surprised by so many slide closures

This hotel was wonderful and the staff were fabulous! The only negative I have but will still give it a 5 star is how cold the whole hotel was. My room was freezing, but I was able to turn the air off; however, the rest of the hotel was freezing. I stayed shivering and because of the going out in the warm then coming back into the cold, I came home with a terrible cold. The weather degrees was between 78-79, it shouldn’t had been so cold in the hotel. Again, it will get its 5 stars because of how beautiful the hotel and staff were!

Staff were RUDE and discriminated against women who were not thin and beautiful.
We called guest services and asked for a solution to their extremely uncomfortable beds and they said they would send up a mattress pad for us. Me: oh that’s great, thank you. They brought it up and handed it to my husband and walked away. We left it on the bed for the staff the next morning thinking they would put it on… and they left it on the bed!!
My husband and I were stopped by security and told us that the beach towels were not allowed in our rooms (I get it, rules are rules) and then the SAME security officer let multiple people up the elevators without stopping them.
Rode the but to Royal and boarded the incorrect bus even though it said it went to the Royal and on two separate incidents we boarded the bus that stated it was the Reaf/the Cove only and a beautiful woman go on the bus and requested to go to the Coral. Bus driver answered “no problem, ma’am!
Will NEVER STAY AT THIS OR ANY OF THE AFFILIATED PROPERTIES!!!
