We chose the Royal Atlantis because of the reviews and proximity to things we wanted to do. Upgraded to an ocean view as well. I was a little disappointed with how uncomfortable the beds were and shocked the tub had large amounts of paint chipped off of it from previous repainting job.

We ordered room service a few times. The second time the food was 2 hours late. Had to call operator to find out about it and there was no compensation; which was shocking, especially when they get an automatic 15% gratuity and convenience fee added.

Ended up having a pair of my shoes come up missing as well.

It was upsetting their cigarette stations were along paths of high traffic areas making it hard to breathe.

If I had it to do again I would stay at the comfort suits and just have the free benefit of the Atlantis wrist band instead of staying there as I thought it was going to be immaculate.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom and no makeup mirror. Was told they ran out of makeup mirrors. The shower pressure was very weak and was told it is due to having an old shower head.
There was some kind of slime that you can scrape off on the toilet door handle.
They also got rid of clocks.

Would not recommend this place.

Access to the water park from this hotel was ideal. Always something to do there. You will not get bored. However, food is extremely expensive with a 10% tax and automatic 15% tip even for fast food options. There are grocery stores near by but they are still expensive. The food wasn’t that great and we tried many restaurants there.

Great water park and cove beach area for families. Has a more open beach for adults. Has several restaurants, shopping and a casino. Food and drinks were higher than state side, but everything is higher here. There was a local grocery store within walking distance of the resort. Soda fountains and water fountains are free at the water park if you have a cup or container. Over all it was a great family trip.

The hotel was spotless, elegant, and well-equipped to cater to everyone’s needs. The water park, attractions, and beaches were breathtaking and beautiful. We stayed at the Royal Towers, which made it easy to access all the amenities.

The food at all the restaurants we visited was fantastic. Most of them offered free meals for children under five, which was a huge plus for us. There’s also a mini market inside the Atlantis Royal Towers that stocks essential items like snacks, soda, medicine, and other necessities.

The only thing to keep in mind is that food isn’t included in the stay and can be quite expensive, especially considering the 25% fee charged on every purchase. However, if you’re mindful of your spending, it shouldn’t be a major concern for your vacation.

My family had an amazing time and we’ll definitely be returning in the future when my child is older so he can enjoy all the water rides and other water attractions.

The resort is pretty big. We really loved all the different options the hotel has to offer. We didn’t have to leave the resort. We really enjoyed all the marine life, we were able to see a morning feeding and learned a lot! We loved the two beaches, the water park, dolphin cay, mini golf, all the different restaurants and the Casino! Lots of options to fit everyone’s needs.

The resort is wonderful and has a beautiful layout of landscaping, Pools, and the adventure waterpark! We really enjoyed our visit! All the restaurants we went to the food were delicious and the service was impeccable! The only thing the only thing that needs improvement is the aquarium that has the tunnel that you walk through, the glass was very dirty, and the water was foggy. I gave this review directly to Atlantis at checkout.

On our floor there was an ice machine and water fill station and every night before bed I would fill the complimentary water bottles and the yeti cups that we brought with us with ice and water. I turned the refrigerator to the coldest setting and in the morning they would be almost frozen. We also brought a thermal backpack where we would keep them while we enjoyed the water park and we would have cold water all day.

Room was not the best. The shades were very dirty, the room smelled like mold, the AC window was very dirty. The bathroom had a very strong smell like a sewer and it made the room smell very bad as well. It was a construction project going on that started every day from 8am until 4pm. Saturday as well. 😳

We loved the outside, water slides and Lazy River, great. We love the resort concept but unfortunately the smell and the noise didn’t help at all to make it the best memories for my birthday.

The Royal Tower has the most updated rooms. But there is no kitchenette or microwave which is a nice convenience for the Reef tower. If you want to save money by cooking and heating up leftovers, I would recommend Reef over Royal. The pros to the Royal tower is it’s central to Atlantis, and you don’t need to take shuttles; everything is walkable. Ocean view rooms are amazing! We were in 15-522 and the view is breath taking. You have a perfect view of the ocean and the resort, you can see predator lagoon and mantas and sharks swimming from your room. And the staff are slightly nicer and a little more flexible when entering the hotel with wet swimsuit attire on. The access to the water park is right at your door step vs other towers (Reef, Coral, Cove). If you are traveling with kids or teens, I would recommend Royal Tower and a room with ocean view if budget is not a concern.

We just wrapped up a week at The Royal Atlantis, and honestly, it fell way short of what you would expect for the crazy prices they charge.

I am calling this place Shake Down Island because it felt like they were nickel and diming us at every turn.The staff was unbelievably rude the whole time. For that kind of money, you would probably be better off with a private rental or villa instead. At least you would avoid the poor service.

Accessibility was a total nightmare, especially with a stroller (and I cannot imagine how tough it would be for anyone in a wheelchair). The elevators were constantly broken or unreliable, so we ended up carrying the stroller up multiple flights of stairs way too many times. You would think a so called family friendly resort would make that a top priority, but nope.

Housekeeping was another letdown. In seven nights, they only cleaned our room once and that was only after I called down to request it. Daily cleaning should be automatic at these rates.
The food quality was nowhere near worth the price they were charging, either. Just overpriced and underwhelming.

Oh, and when we checked out, I spotted $120 a day charged for a room upgrade we never asked for or got. Luckily I caught it and got it fixed before leaving. Make sure you review those bills carefully before you depart!

Overall, the place has potential, but these issues really soured the experience. Just something to keep in mind if you are planning a trip.

The resort and surrounding property was beautiful. Expect to do a large amount of walking. If you're not looking to swim with the pigs or go downtown, the resort has enough amenities to keep busy. We really enjoyed the pools and beach. The room was clean and nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. On-site restaurants are a little pricey for meals that are your average,
everyday food. Overall experience was good and I would recommend Atlantis as a nice vacation spot

The place feels like an overpriced tourist trap. The people working there were not very friendly and seemed understaffed for the amount of people at the resort. Half the water slides wouldn’t be open throughout the day and the food is so expensive and mostly not very good. The rooms need a revamp and the entire experience feels manufactured.

The hotel was beautiful, food was great but a little pricey. The view at the shake shack was pretty cool. Our tv kept glitching, but we were mostly out and about. We attended the Nelly show at Club Aura, and Nelly yelled to the house DJ to turn his volumes up and they couldn’t quite get it together, so at times it was pretty hard to hear him. Over all we had a great time.

The property seems to be more interested to cater to incoming cruise ship guests than those paying full price. Dining establishments grossly expensive for subpar food with staff more interested in additional tips on top of the already mandatory included tips, rather than service. Would not return.

(Wtf) pedimos que la calentaran y nos indicaron que no que solo para los desayunos, les indicamos que por qué no la podían calentar y todo era por que! Just go here! Great stay, great food, great service. Fun water slides but if you want to chill you can find places to unwind. Beaches are amazing with sweet chairs with sun shades. Water is crystal clear and even when it got busy at the resort, it wasn’t crowded. Loved every second!!

Avoid. Staff were haggard, often rude, and appeared to resent having to deal with guests. Service in bars and restaurants costing $$$ on par with servixe in fast food chains elsewhere. Food mediocre but plentiful. Rooms were clean but amenities like TV and telephones worked intermittently. Often no hot water. Room very noisy due to ongoing construction. Grounds well-maintained. Very poor value for money. I cannot recommend this property to anyone with even above average taste.

We loved the casino!
We did find it to be extremely expensive, especially since we're in our late 70's and don't eat a lot anymore. It would have been nice if they had golf carts or other modes of transportation to get around the huge property.

Beach chairs are old, the ones with a shade were mostly broken. I got there @7:30 am every morning to pick good ones and save a spot. Wrote a note to housekeeper about a concern but no response. Water pressure to fill bottles were terrible. Bahamas has gotten so expensive, it’s almost ridiculous. The place is beautiful but it might be a while till we return. Been there 4 times now.

My 3y/o daughter and I had an amazing time at The Royal. I opted for the Imperial Club. The staff was kind, attentive to detail, professional and courteous. None of my needs were left undone. The shuttle drivers are kind and courteous. It would be nice if there were designated open smoking areas away from the popular common pathways since this is a kid friendly hotel.

Rooms need renovations and new showers. Pool chairs are old and uncomfortable. Where the sharks/turtles are by the tower it smelled extremely unpleasant and there was bird poop on the rails. Pools were ok, the pool chair beds need to be changed immediately!!! bars outside need a little updating. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again.

Resort is very large so plan on lots of walking and steps.

Eating Recommendations: Carmine's at the Coral Tower - entrees feed 2-4 people. Shake Shack for burgers. Pizza place in the Marina Village. Seafarers Steakhouse is good, but poor service. Make reservations before you visit.

Casino is nice. Pools are great. Staff all helpful. Visit the Dolphin Cay exhibit.

We recently stayed at Atlantis Paradise Island and had mixed feelings overall. The water park and slides were definitely the highlight of the trip — the kids had a great time and there was a good variety of attractions for different ages.

However, we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the resort. Our room was not cleaned very thoroughly during our stay, and some areas of the property felt worn and not as well maintained as we expected for the price point. We also noticed that filtered water was not easily available throughout the resort, and the water sometimes had an unusual taste.

The resort has a lot to offer in terms of activities and entertainment, but the upkeep and attention to detail did not fully match the expectations we had based on the reputation and cost of staying there. The water slides and marine attractions were fun, but there is definitely room for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

I want to the Royal Tower at Atlantis. It’s very clean and the stuff is very nice and also I lost my one my Jewellery piece and the room and when I come back I saw room service they put out on the desk table for me that’s surprise for me and thank you so much for them.

We stayed in the West Tower of The Royal and the hotel room could definitely use some updating/carpet cleaning. We loved the resort grounds itself… the pools/beaches/waterpark/aquarium were amazing. The biggest downfall of all was the staff of the Atlantis. 90% of the staff were very rude and not helpful at all. Despite our love of the resort grounds, we probably will not return to Atlantis due to the staff.
