Last minute booking while travelling from St Malo to Alicante region. Picked it as limited dog friendly availability. The hotel is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees in a beautiful area. So quiet and the staff were all so welcoming. Excellent room looking out at the mountains. We ate in El Boj restaurant which was excellent food & service & not expensive. 3 courses for €30. Excellent breakfast too.
We will definitely stay again

Nothing to dislike, this was the best hotel I have ben to for a long time. It is set apart from the main area of Canfranc Estacion and has a unique history. The decor is wonderful, especially the ceilings. Comfortable room, excellent dining. Lovely friendly, attentive and professional staff.

Stayed four nights, I arrived on a motorcycle I parked directly outside 24 hour receptions window I did lock my bike but it felt safe, Very friendly staff, good level of cleanliness, although the bed was way to hard very uncomfortable almost painfully so, the restaurant food made up that, not an enormous choice but very tasty and well cooked, I would definitely stay again

A well-appointed, attractive hotel, in a stunning location. Warm, friendly welcome at check-in. Quite a long walk out of town but as it seemed to be popular with hikers this presented no problem.

Reception were very welcoming and shared information about the area. Check-in was swift. Parking was easy.

Room was a good size with lots of wardrobe space and a safe was available.

Shower over bath, needed a little tlc re blackening of the sealant - care needed in the shower as water can suddenly run very hot.

Set times for booking in the restaurant - not a problem. The food was absolutely amazing in all aspects - presentation and so delicious - we made compliments to the chef each evening we dined here.

Lots of relaxation areas available. A very relaxed, comfortable property. Look forward to the possibility of staying here again in the future.

The hotel looks fine from the photos but is a little tired. After a long drive, we booked in around 5pm but the restaurant did not open until 8.15pm.

Potential.

Slightly out of CanFranc so still need the car to get into the town (and Station area). Reception was very good and the rooms were fine, perhaps in need of a little refurbishment at some point in the not too distant future. Bar staff a little huffy when I asked to taste the wine when served from an aleady opened bottle. I imagine a question of investment but outside areas looked in need of attention. Not bad but perhaps neglected.

Great value DBB. Comfy & good food & wine

So glad we found this gem - just over a mile north of the amazing Canfranc Station and almost at the Spanish/French border.
English speaking reception and fair English speaking in bar/restaurant (not a problem as menu is translated - see photos). Brilliant food: menu del día each included in our ver reasonable rate in very comfortable surroundings. Tea & coffee in the room would have been a bonus first thing in the morning but that won’t stop us returning next time. Great breakfast buffet too.
Drove north through the pass, very pretty and mostly downhill - a lovely alternative to the nearby Somport Tunnel.
We will be back :-)

ok if you are a dog lover.

When I booked this hotel I was not aware I was booking in to a kennels, at least 8 dogs were in the hotel some in reception area other in the lounge and bar , my wife had a bad reaction after using the lift when a large hairy dog had been in it, sneezing most of the night keeping us both awake was not a good way of preparing for a 600 mile drive next day. The sink area in the bathroom was covered with the contents of the previous occupants electric razor. Share breakfast room with a vast number of fly's. I fancied a game of pool while having a drink but alas table out of order.

A functional hotel, not meant to be uxurious

This was just a stopover for us and sitting on the terrace with the mountains around us was lovely. Dinner was good in parts, mains served not warm enough but staff worked hard with a big party to contend with plus other diners. My main issue would be the fact that the bedroom walls are very thin so that you could hear the conversations of nearby guests. If it was not for that I would give this place a 10 - this is not luxury but it works really well.

Excellent value for exploring Pyrenees

We stayed for 2 nights in June on our way from Rioja to Bordeaux. The hotel was quiet and convenient for our walk in Lescun and had an unexpected bonus of a Spa after a good days walking. Other hotel facilities were good and staff were friendly and efficient. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Only minus was the selection of fresh fruit on the second morning.

Overpriced and Untidy

We booked for the Spa and Pool which was dirty and overcrowded 8€ each for an hour the water dencanter smelt awful and was not cold the pool was too cold and dirty and the steam room too hot Ashtrays on the terrace where full of water and decaying ciggarette stubs Also middle class kids running around the landings and strange noises throughout the night its setting is umdermined by the total lack of interest by probably managmemt!? Angel and girl on reception were helpfull Never again I feel Ive been robbed x

Peaceful, inexpensive, uncrowded, excellent!

Huge room, two rooms with two bathrooms that cost less than $100 a night. Beautiful view of the mountains. Amazing hiking trails, nearby and easy ones in town. Easy to hike or drive to France, the tunnel that goes through the mountain is surprisingly free, which is unusual. There was a wedding going on the day we arrived and I was concerned that it might go all night, having had similar experiences at other hotels in Europe, but true to their word, it ended at 11:00 p.m. and everything was peaceful afterwards. I've traveled and hiked quite a bit in the alps during the summers and it's very crowded with vacationers. This area was pleasantly/surprisingly less crowded than I've been used to, which is quite a treat if you've ever been in the Dolomiti in August!

Lovely stop over

A lovely mid range hotel in the mountains being an ideal overnight for a trip from Spain to St Malo via the Somport tunnel. Well worth the half board option even though breakfast was a little disappointing but not a major problem. I am sure we will visit again.

Overnight stopover in beautiful location

Picturesque stopover on way back to UK from Spain. Beautiful area. Great location for walking if we were staying any longer. Didn't use spa/dining facilities so can't comment but buffet breakfast (included in price) was wide ranging, plentiful and fresh.

Canfranc station

A Relaxing break en-Route to Spain. Especially as it snowed overnight! Location and surrounding views worth the visit. hotel room good but bathrroom too cold to enjoy. The same for the small Spa centre which was 7€ per hr each. Pool too cold and jacuzzi just warm. Restaurant meals and staff were good. With the snowy scene it would have been perfect if the log fire was on in the lounge for after dinner coffee/drinks at night. All in all we would stay there again.

Es un hotel de montaña magnífico. Habitaciones amplias y cómodas, sin lujos pero muy agradables. Buena ducha con agua muy abundante. La maravillosa terraza del hotel es un auténtico lujo, las vistas, el olor a Pirineo, el relax, ... Merece todo las piernas. Además el personal es muy amable y tiene un magnífico restaurante para cenar

Chambre triple sélectionnée. On arrive sur place c'est en réalité 2 adultes et 1 enfant alors que nous étions 3 adultes.
On nous demande 40€ supplémentaires. Alors que la chambre 3 adultes coûtait seulement 13€ de plus sur leur site.
Dans la chambre il n'y avait que le nécessaire pour 2 personnes alors qu'on était 3, obligé de redemander à l'accueil les serviettes et oreillers.
Carrelage casse + décollé du mur dans la salle de bain
Canapé lit avec housse déchirée
Joint douche moisi
Drap taché marron à plusieurs endroits

C'est absolument dégoûtant. Je ne recommande à personne de se rendre dans cet hôtel.

Nuestra experiencia ha sido muy buena, el hotel, restaurante y servicio son estupendos, solo que el Spa no estaba tan limpio como se deseara, había algas en la piscina y el Yacusi tampoco era de lo mejor, sin embargo las saunas estaban bien.

El entorno es estupendo. El hotel es muy acogedor y lleno de rincones muy agradables. La cocina del restaurante El Boj es excelente: original y de gran calidad. El servicio del hotel, atento y muy amable
El desayuno, aunque surtido, es ligeramente mejorable, especialmente los zumos y la escasez de productos integrales. Y la limpieza de las habitaciones da la sensación de estar hecha con prisa y sin mucho cuidado. Aun así, volveríamos a este hotel si viajamos de nuevo a Canfranc

Hotel en un entorno muy agradable, instalaciones bien cuidadas, decoración muy acertada.
Habitación bonita y amplia. Limpieza impecable.
El personal muy amable, tanto del hotel como del restaurante.
El desayuno buffet buenísimo y muy variado. Super rica la tortilla de patatas casera.
La comida en el Restaurante El Boj deliciosa. Tomamos platos vegetarianos muy bien elaborados. El falafel de los mejores que he probado.
Sala de juegos y bar con ambiente agradable.
El Spa es pequeñito, pero esta bien, quizás seria la parte que necesitaria alguna mejora.
Lo recomendamos, y volveremos sin duda!

Un servicio y estado del hotel excelentes

Aunque apartado de los núcleos urbanos, este hotel de montaña ofrece buenos servicios y está en muy buenas condiciones. El restaurante es excelente y sorprendente para un hotel de estas características. La única pega la sintonización de los canales de televisión (no es muy buena), pero por lo demás todo muy positivo.

Gran ubicación, desastrosa gestión

La ubicación del hotel es perfecta para aquel que quiera esquiar o conocer Canfranc. Comimos en el restaurante y estaba todo muy rico, tenían una terraza que se estaba muy bien con vistas a la montaña. El spa regular, no nos convenció del todo. La nota negativa fue la desastrosa gestión del recepcionista, no nos quiso dar una habitación que habíamos reservado con vistas a la montaña, nos preparó una habitación con vistas al mismo hotel, la ducha llena de cal que el agua apuntaba a todo menos lo que tiene que apuntar, suciedad en las juntas,etc. No hay teléfono, te dan un número WhatsApp y el wifi para que te comuniques con recepción. La cama era lo único cómodo. Consejo: chiquilladas, triquiñuelas de este tipo de gestión y mentiras para lavar la imagen no ayudan, lo estropea aún más. Espero que no se vuelva a repetir.
