I have traveled the world over and have never stayed in a worse hotel in my life. I would leave no stars if the app would let me. This place was horrible. Staff sucked, room dirty, bathroom dirty, druggies staying in the room next to us and above us; they were up all night. This is not a place to stay if on vacation, it’s a place to go if there’s no where else to go in your life.

Not a review for the hotel, they were very nice and thanked me for canceling. This is a review for Hotels.com which I booked through.

Unfortunately I had to cancel and tried to call Hotels.com many times with no luck and a 30 minute wait, I never got through but will try again.

I called the hotel and told them I had to cancel and they were very nice about it but said I needed to contact Hotels.com for a refund which I understand but have not been able to talk with anyone, I will keep on trying.

Clean rooms, we stayed at family room that had 2 rooms with a huge comfortable bunk bed ( queen over queen) and king bed. Very neat and comfortable bedding, microwave and fridge in a room. All bathroom necessities provided.
I was very pleasantly surprised and kids were asking to stay longer.

This was a good stay. The room was simple, the bed was clean, but the floor was dirty, and the room smelled like cigarettes. I was able to add some essential oils, and the smell went away. The furniture was scratched and sticky. The shower had no hot water at night; it was barely warm, but in the morning, it was better. Overall, it was a good stay for the money. I would stay there again.

The room was ok, but terribly small. No turn-down service and no one came in to empty trash, refresh the towels, or resupply toilet paper. For a 4-day stay this is unacceptable. The tv stopped working and the inn did not know how to fix it. After claiming they would get help, they left and never returned to solve the problem. I waited 1.5 hours for them to return, walked up to the front desk to inquire what happened and the office was closed for the night. Three more days into my stay and still no tv—didn’t even offer to discount the room. I felt ripped off! I’ll never stay there again!!

The cable box was dangling from tv. The door needed adjustment. It looked like it would not lock. All the tables had marks like they been through war. You could not ise the closet because there was no bar to hang your clothes. The closet had broken panels. For a minute i thought is was a tijuana motel.

The room was great. The receptionist was exceptional. My only complaint for improvement was there was no coffee machine inmy room. I thought I wouldjust get coffee in lobby, but it was locked. We are early risers and I have to have my 1st cup in morning. Wound up at small cafe.

Pleasantly suprised on how nice the hotel was - no problems at all, fridge and microwave, coffee maker in room. Everything seemed new and will decorated and spacious including the bathroom.

The staff is commendable, easy check in and accommodating. - they went out of there way to insure an excellent experience. The staff even allowed us to stay in there reserved parking in the back closer to our rooms.

Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be staying here whenever visiting our friends in san diego - lots of things to do between san diego and julian.

Okay. We left a night early. It said free breakfast. None. The microwave had so much metal on it, we didn’t feel safe using it for our stay. And it’s so loud, we have an infant. It was pretty much impossible to put him to bed. He just kept waking up. So we left. And only stayed one night and paid for both. The hotel was pretty clean. The staff 20/10 was amazing

The location was awesome, room was clean and modern. Remote to tv didn’t work. Stuck on the same channel. But that wasn’t a deal breaker.

The one thing we hated, however, and almost made us want to leave, was that there was a large group who took over that entire side of the motel and they had about 10 kids running around (in and out of their rooms) and being loud until about 10pm. I actually called their front office and I was told they couldn’t do anything about it. I had to go outside myself to tell them to keep it down, but it continued til 10pm.

I would stay there again, but they need to do a better job at making sure their guests can have peace and quiet.

The hotel has great potential and is cute. However, the parking lot is small and there w were people there that were taking up guest spots as they were just visiting. There should be a designated visitor area and those who are taking up reserved spots should be asked to move.

The furniture in the room was ragged. There were stains on the bedding, and tables. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillow was extremely lumpy. There were caulking or spackle stains in the showers and there was a greasy handprintin the wall near the door. Traffic is loud but even louder was the sound of the mini fridge and the people upstairs. The bright light outside the bathroom shone through the widow and illuminated half of the room. The view outside the window was of a walkway and a barbedwire fence.
Then the heater...I turned it for for about a minute. Its smelled dusty and musty at first, then it started to smell like burning hair on a hair dryer and then gave off a scary burning plastic smelled. I had to open the front window to get the smell out, which of course let all the cold air in.

Staff is excellent, especially this young fellow with a beard. He was a really good dude. They even let me check out an hour and a half late because I had to come back from a football tournament at Palomar College.

I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights for a job we were doing in town.
The job COULD have taken up to 3 days to complete, so I booked 3 nights. We got it done in 1 day and only needed to stay 1-night.
We checked out at 12:00 the very next day.
While checking out I asked for a printout showing we are checking out early. I was told I couldn’t get one.
The girl at the desk said “You booked and paid through Expedia, so you need to go to them to get a refund for checking out early.”
So that's what I did the next day. While talking with Expedia they said they need to confirm with the hotel that I checked out early.
They called the hotel, and the hotel said they would NOT issue a refund, because apparently I booked the rooms at a \"non-refundable rate\".
So while checking out, the girl sends me to Expedia, then Expedia sent me back to them, back and forth, back and forth... They basically STOLE $600+ from us.
I told the hotel if I didn't get a refund, I would be leaving bad reviews all over online telling all of yall what happened. They refused, so here I am. Be careful how you book your room with these thieves, folks...

Great value - if you need a place to stay in the area, this hotel is most certainly a good choice. Although the property is quite old, the rooms have been updated with some modern fixtures and features - so the rooms are a bit of a mix between new and old. The housekeeping is at the standard for any hotel or motel in this class - no complaints. Its pet friendly too!

1) was not given wifi password
2) not enough parking
3) while rooms are remodeled and look nice, there is no shelving in the shower to set shampoo, etc., no towel bar/ring for hand towel or shower towels only one two way hook on the wall,
4) no floor mat for shower so had to use a bath towel.
5) bed was okay…not terribly uncomfortable but also not super comfortable. Only stayed one night so was decent enough for us. A mattress topper would help the comfort level.

All of the above mentioned would have little to no cost but definitely make the stay even better.

We had gone out for a few hours only to return to a hot stuffy room and apparently they had no other rooms available. Won’t take the chance in the future, if I have to be in the area I will drive the extra 1/2 hour to stay somwhere else
