Very helpful and welcoming staff. However, the property has aged! Too many scratches and scoffs on the walls and fittings. It is in need of serious revamp.

There is no lift to the free car park. It can be inconvenient/awkward to get to.

There is a missed opportunity here to invest in the property and add value, especially considering its prime location in Ipoh.

Hotel was not properly maintained. First room the staff checked me in had ants running along the toilet sink and what looked like bloodstain on the bedsheet. Staff were friendly and nice and changed a room for me the next day. But no matter which room I changed to, the rooms were still run down and horribly maintained. Sound proofing of the rooms were not good either. Not worth my money staying here.

With the rate i paid, for this old property, no lift from basement parking to lobby, no breakfast included during Ramadan, poor amenities in room, old and disgusting water closet and rain shower, make uncomfortable feeling. even dare not boil the water from the water tap for tea or coffee.

Friendly and Helpful staff, hotel building is slightly aged but is being renovated and is recovering from recent downturn in business from COVID. Standard of Hotel is acceptable, it's 10 mins walking distance from large shopping centre and various outlets, plus local restaurant and tea houses close by within 5 minutes walk. Staff are genrally very friendly and welcoming, and keen to address any issues when brought to their attention. Hotel is also used for conferences and meetings. Reasonable rates and value.

The cleanliness of the room especially the toilet need to be improved. I got shoe footsteps in the bathtub which obviously was not clean properly before we check-in. Indeed the room requires to refurbish, and the pool needs proper maintenance too.

However, the breakfast is superb. Husband and I really love the food served.

Overall I think this hotel does not deserve a 4-star rating, maybe 3, or even 2
Firstly, the first room I checked in smelled of stale air and wet carpets, I requested to change rooms and was allowed another room on another floor. This room although did not smell bad, but smelled really old instead. The toilets were dirty, with mold everywhere, especially the bath curtain, really disgusting. Furniture in the room also already broken and not fixed.
Overall, not worth the price charged, although the breakfast was good.

Very run down needing considerable investment to bring it up to its apparent 4 star standard. Typical of a state owned hotel probably. Apart from the front desk a general lack of customer focus. Breakfasts just about ok for local clientele but not really appealing to international guests.

The rooms along the road are quite noisy. If you get a room in the back you are fine. The surrounding of the hotel is not very nice, but you are not too far from the center of the town.

“Surprised” by the old unmaintained building i.e. outdated room key lock (hotel should replace with key card), crack bathroom shelf. Definitely will not come again and will not recommend to others to stay at Impiana Hotel Ipoh. Totally opposite with Impiana KLCC. Impiana Hotel Ipoh has tarnished the brand of “Impiana”.

The property is a bit old but the picture show very new when I Made the booking. The picture appear should be up to date and actual its look like. This is not the 1st time I feel so. many pictures tell lies about the actual look of the room or hotel we book. Truly feel disappointed.

Stingy on swimming towels. They had face towels instead. Had to request for bath size towels and waited almost 20 minutes for them.

This hotel is beyond belief. I was booked to stay but I decided not to for the following reasons.
1) The entire hotel is very run down and in need of refurbishment.
2) The so called upgraded room given to me had mould all over the bathroom ceiling and around the sink.
3) The carpets are dirty and stained.
4) It was impossible to sit in the lounge chairs at reception due to the amount of filth on them that had not been cleaned for years.

My advice to all travelers is to avoid this hotel at all costs.

1 of the worst hotel i have ever stayed in Ipoh.

Expose live wire in room. Foul smell in room. Room Door cant even close properly. Terrible bed conditions. Unfriendly reception staff. TV is blur. Bathroom heater not working properly (only slight warmness). Constant noise from window from strong wind. Woke up with terrible neck ache. Booked for 2 nights but left this hotel right after the 1st night because of these worst conditions.

This is the worst hotel that i ever stay. Can you imagine a room infested with cockroaches??!!! Yes, this was my worst nightmare once i entered the room. Initially thought just only one small cockroach, trying to convince myself that was nothing, but later when the whole family crawling around, it really exceeded my limit. Just to recap, this is a HOTEL but not a guest house or motel ok? Or maybe the latter are better...The room is filled with old rotten wood stench, bone-breaking spring bed, spoiled shower head switch and absent of complimentary toothbrush/toothpaste/comb....

For those who willing to have an 'unforgettable' adventure stay in this hotel, please do so.

A Run Down Hotel in Ipoh.

Poorly maintained and run down hotel. It is no 4 star hotel as claimed. At best 2 stars. Stay at this hotel only as a last resort.

Was checking in late. Tried calling them on the given lines. Nobody answered despite numerous attempts. Sent a email- no response either.

Very uncomfortable bed. The shower head was not working. Had to call their maintenance staff at midnight to repair/replace it.. No shower cap in the bathroom. Only 2 medium sized towels provided- no floor towels or hand towels provided.

Dirty Hotel and Lousy Parking. Look elsewhere!!!

Not so good experience staying a night in this hotel. Like many says, the cleanliness is very bad. The carpets and chairs are stained and dusty. My family slept there a night and we had a hard time sleeping well as we itch all over probably due to dusty. Carpark is mainly limited outside in the open air. If no parking, have to park at the basement at the UMNO building which is quite dodgy, dirty, and lack of security especially dangerous if a lady guest is alone parking there.

Irresponsible housekeeping

On the second day of our stay, we had left for a wedding nearby and came back to our hotel room being unlocked with the door bar guard/latch holding the door open. we were lucky no personal belongings were missing including a laptop. The hotel staff did not address the matter nor apologize upon check out until we brought it up and asked to see the manager. The manager took awhile after we have left before calling me to inform that their housekeeping had made a mistake forgetting to make up the room after intending to do so. It was still quite a disappointing experience.
