Everything about our experience here was great. The room was clean, front desk people were friendly. The room was like having your own little 2 bedroom apartment, with a kitchen and living room. Will definitely look into staying her again when ever we come to a show at the Decoste Centre.

This is pretty much a place construction workers stay at. Unfortunately there was an altercation going on with someone clearly not in a normal state of mind trying to get a room for his buddy and a couple young ladies so he started trashing the front entrance. The young fellow that was representing the motel locked the door and called the police I found it entertaining but most would probably not be comfortable with this

Room nice with 2 double beds, bathroom small but very clean. Kitchenette a bit underwhelming but we didnt use. its a great location to enjoy Pictou and the waterfront as short, easy drive. Had issues turning on tv but didnt really need it. Would stay there again, like having outside access to room.

I would never stay here again. I know it was a cheap place to stay, when we got off the ferry but it doesn’t take much to clean. Bed was awful room was full of flies. Pictures of the outside are not this motel it was right on the road noisy all night. We left before 6am.

Musty, smelly, old, dirty. Cigarettes ash in the room. TV didn’t work. Bathroom upgrades but the whole Inn needs to be upgraded. Steps outside room are unsafe. 1/10 rating. Would not recommend or stay again. No staff in the offices to complain to or to offer us help.

While it was obvious that there were nice upgrades being made (e.g., new fridge, etc), there were parts of the room that were rusting away. We didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot on the bathroom floor. It was fairly quiet and very convenient off the ferry.

The door handle on the fridge/sink/stove combo was attached with duct tape and hot glue. The carpets were gross and the beds were 3/4 not even a double.

Don't get fooled by old reviews, this place didn't get cared of since a lot of time. Look at recent reviews.
Room was dirty (sticky floor, wall)
Room was in a bad condition (missing tiles, wallpaper peeling off and more)
Plumbing doing awful loud noises (had hot water)
Uncomfortable beds.
Broken furniture.
mattress protector was stained bad.
Tv and wifi was good.
Worst night ever.

In Pictou for a family wedding

Great affordable room, very friendly staff. My only wish is that I needed a plug in for my hair dryer next to a mirror! Bathroom one wouldn’t work, and the only other one I found was in the kitchenette. One other small disappointment, I could get th3 coffee machine to work properly, got lukewarm coffee. Would indeed stay there again.

The motel charged us $10 per child, per night, just keep this in mind when booking!!!!
The rooms are poorly taken care of, mold in the bathroom, even the bathroom toilet seat is peeling. The pillows are as flat as pancakes. The staff argued with us that we brought a dog to our room, but we had only brought blankets from home and we have 3 dogs in our household.
There were dead squirrels in the front green space of the hotel, which is the only “hang out” space around. The staff were rude and ignorant when asking for extra towels (they only gave us 1 towel even though they knew 4 people would be in the room). Rude again when asked for extra bedding for a fold out couch.
There is no soap/shampoo/conditioner or even a box of Kleenex provided in the rooms, just as a heads up to future renters!

40$ charge for two kids. 2 adults, 2 kids in a two double bed room with a pullout couch. Extra charge but had only two towels. Pullout couch bedding was filthy and needed me to ask to change.

When cooking originally said kitchenette. There was only a microwave and mini fridge.

Very outdated. The room was super dark and dingy. They put a tub insert over the existing tub but didnt glue the insert to the bottom of the tub, so it clicks when you are standing in it. Smelt damp. Theres small trees and weeds growing in the gutters above the entrance to the rooms. They need a better over haul. Its quite expensive for what your getting!

This unit looked nothing like the pictures on Expedia and was quite dirty. The unit was dim, smelled moldy and bedsheets were not clean. We checked in as 2 adults and all they provided us with was 1 coffee pod, 1 shampoo and 1 shower gel. Luckily there were sufficient towels. The microwave door was jammed on most occasions and we had to ask for cups (plastic ones provided for coffee) and toilet roll. I feel I can go on and on whining about this unit but enough said.
