The staff are great, very friendly, but the hotel itself is very poor. It’s tired and in need of maintenance. The rooms are not in good order and the bathrooms feel very grubby. Breakfast offer was really poor.

Our stay was good overall and staff were friendly. We originally booked a ground floor room but we found out that people use the rooms downstairs for dogs to stay. We aren’t dog owners and we have stayed in places where we can smell dogs. We upgraded to an executive suite which was spacious. My wife has limited mobility and the lift wasn’t working, we had some help with moving our things into our room, which was helpful but lots of stairs because the lift wasn’t working.

Overall it was a good place to stay.

The room was clean and quiet. The linen and towels fresh. It goes down from there. The fabric of the hotel is tired and the design dates from the 1980s. The carpark is depressing and even a homeless person decided to camp next door in the smokery carpark.

Everything was great at my first stay at the Bentley.
I did self check in on my journey down and when I arrived the reception lady (Sophie) was nice, friendly and efficient, I paid with my credit card, received my keys and was soon up in my room.
The room was large but a wee bit dated and tired looking but the bed was great. The heating radiators looked outdated but they worked efficiently and the room was always warm and cosy. The bathroom was clean and I've never stayed in a hotel room that had so much water pressure and hotness!! Wow it was scalding until you got used to it. My room shower control wasn't very good and hard to control but once used to it, it was great. Nice hand / body wash too.
I ate once in the dining room and once in the bar area, both were great with plenty choice and everything tasted lovely. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful, brilliant selection.
Unfortunately the spa was closed under renovation but the gym was newly refurbished and was brilliant!
I never tried the Weatherspoons across the road but I did try Hickory's next door, I thought it was fantastic.
I will certainly be back to stay.

There is no pool which is super unfortunate as that's originally at the last booking why we chose this place as not many around that have a pool now which really made them stand out for us. However that being said we did enjoy our stay the first time and have definitely enjoyed our stay again this time, even with some unfortunate events this time. Our kettle appeared to have quite a bit of timescale and what looked like mould however I cannot fault the service as the ladies on reception dealt with the issue quickly and politely. Our electric also went off in the room but this was again sorted promptly and professionally. The service and communication is fantastic and the hotel itself feels like it has a really posh feel about the place. It was beautifully decorated ready for Christmas which was a nice touch. I have to say the room we were in this time was smaller than last time and the bathroom looked a little worn and tired but that being said it didn't affect our stay and we would definitely return again just wear and tear of a busy hotel. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal and fantastic value for money and again the service throughout breakfast was fantastic the attention to detail from the lady behind us and something looking a little under cooked and taking it straight back was fantastic because the lady didn't complain she was just so acutely aware it didn't look quite right. The choices of food was great and we will definitely order again!! Loved it!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. All the staff were professional, efficient and friendly. Lovely sized bedrooms. Comfortable bed and great shower over bath. Fantastic food. The bar was well stocked and provided a very comfortable area to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple at the end of the day. Will definitely stay here again when back in this area.

Breakfast offers great choices. Evening meal, tasty but one 5mm slice of potato with meal is inadequate and an insult.

The room was much more spacious than anticipated. We were a little disappointed that the swimming pool is no longer available as those amenities drew us into the hotel. The hotel is beautiful inside and out and the stay itself was fantastic only the spa and pool amenities that prevented the stay from being a perfect stay.

The room itself was good.the onsite however needs work. Area behind sink had brown residue/ staining. Corner above bath had a small patch of black mould and drill holes in tiles that hadn’t been filled. This however was only minor and didn’t spoil my enjoyment or require any immediate action.

The staff were excellent, professional and welcoming.
Breakfast was excellent.
I was disappointed that the pool was permanently closed. I chose this hotel for closeness to the person I visit, and because it has a pool. I’d probably still use it next time because it is convenient and good value for money, but I really did miss the pool…
Over all a very enjoyable place that I have now stayed in 4 times. I

After booking and paying for our room we were notified of the spa and pool being closed… poor show on your behalf as it should have been mentioned beforehand.
Breakfast was chaos as lots of missing items on the self service and huge queues due to this and extremely long waits.
Staff seemed to struggle to top food and drinks up along with cleaning tables so lots of guests couldn’t be seated.

We had a room right at the end of a corridor so it was very quiet considering there was a wedding there. The room was spacious and clean and the air con was great for such a hot weekend. The bed was comfy, the only thing we were missing was an iron and ironing board which would of come in handy. We will definitely stay here again.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Lots of local dining options nearby. Bus stop outside which is regular and takes you straight in to town and only 5 min walk away from the hotel. Plenty of parking and On site restaurant is available but no menu in the room which makes it difficult to consider room service.

Location was perfect, food was reasonably priced and tasted delicious. Room was a nice size and a big benefit of having a bath too, Shane the pool and sauna were out of action, gym was a good size however, two water dispensers both empty. Key cards didn’t work for the room, but staff quickly rectified this and moved my room and also a drinks voucher for my troubles. Breakfast had a lot of choice and was piping hot. Will stay again x

The staff were brilliant. The only lift was out of order. My room was large but very tired. Apart from reception the whole place needs a revamp. The spa was closed. The room was air conditioned which was vital as there was only one small opening window. I didn’t eat in the hotel but other customers seemed happy with the quality of the food.

Receptionist was disinterested when I was told i did not have breakfast included which meant we paid almost £300 for 2 nights in a hotel which we couldn't use the pool the lift was out of order so people who couldn't walk very well struggled enormously.
Our room was ok but the toilet was disgusting black mold everywhere the shower was difficult to use and they have a cheap plastic toilet seat that fell apart as soon as you sat on it absolutely terrible never will we book there again.

Not worth it, and very tired hotel.

Room was advertised as having multiple beds, not pull down bunk beds that are not even level when down!! My 13yr old did not get a good sleep as she was constantly rolling to the side. The bed sheets were dirty and stained (see attached), although there were 3 of us, only 2 sets of towels were supplied? No iron in room so had to request one. Only told that spa and pool was permanently closed after we had booked the hotel, and felt that the price point paid was not worth it if this was closed.. very tired and runs down hotel..

I have stayed in this hotel when in the area with work over the last 4 years.
The staff as always were fantastic and very helpful.
The hotel was very busy with wedding and the bars was thus packed, which wasn't an issue.
Had breakfast in the restaurant which was decent.
Downside was the swimming pool is now permanently closed (got notified after I had made the the booking) with the spa & gym also closing shortly.
The rooms, whilst very clean, are looking a little tired now and could do with a refresh/update/makeover
Whilst the shower was amazing (proper power shower) the tiles and grouting were showing their age, again, could do with a refresh/update.
Beds were clean & comfy which, at the end of the day is the most important bit.

Dog Parents Overnight stay

The service was excellent, the food good, good breakfast. Parking free and WIFI good, nice sized TVs in the room, nice sized rooms. You CAN sit in the Martini bar area with your dog to eat your meals. The decor is a bit tired looking, 1990s dated and our dog friendly bedroom as not cleaned to the best standard there was a stain on the carpet that would have been easily enough for someone to get rid off which the correct products. Perhaps puppy pads available to buy at reception would help the housekeeping team, we reported it immediately so we didn't loose our £50 dog damages deposit and the staff were lovely about it. There are large grass verges out in front of the large carpark where you can take your dog out to do their business opposite the McDonalds. Sadly the pool, beauty spa will soon close but the price of the room as good value still. Ask the hotel whats happen about the fitness suite. We would stay again if travelling with our dog to Lincoln as Lincoln seems to not have many dog friendly places to stay!

The look of the hotel as you pull up is not great it looks very run down.
You have photos of the swimming pool still on show which is closed and you say the gym is still open but it wasnt because of staff shortages.
Room 104 the bathroom door or rotten on the inside of bathroom.
In the bar £6 for a pint of cider in an out of town hotel was expensive.
