Beautiful accommodation in historic house, bedroom and bathroom really lovely and very comfortable. Stella such a very nice lady, and so very helpful, and great to chat to.
A really nice walled back garden was so peaceful to sit in.
I hope very much to return, as just a gem of a place to stay.

Hotel is vfm, a short walk from the town centre. Bedrooms are in main building or an annex on the side street with parking in front of the hotel or a 4 car bay at the side. Rooms are big enough but a bit dated, could use a bit of tlc and repaint. Furniture is a collection of random pieces. Was quiet enough even on the main road and bed was comfortable so served it's purpose and would stay again.

Good stopover point.

We used The Red House as an overnight stopover point to break up a long journey from 'up North' back down to the south coast. The building is 200+ years old and Grade 2 listed so lacks some of the refinements you would find in a more modern establishment. However it was clean and tidy and suited our needs. The single beds were very comfortable. Good breakfast and a very friendly and welcoming host.

The Red House is a delightful old, large three story town house in a more up-market part of Grantham, if there is such a thing. Large room with high ceilings and original features - not to everyone's taste but perfect for me. Very quiet and peaceful but easy walk to the town center. As a renovated old building the facilities are, naturally, not like a modern hotel. but everything worked fine and the host was charming. Will definitely stay again on my frequent visits to Grantham especially as it is much cheaper than the Premier Inn weekdays.

For an older property it was fine, it had all we required for our short stay.

I stayed for one night as I was attending a function nearby so only needed a place to sleep for the evening. The room I was in was super warm and cosy and had everything I needed. I had a private bathroom across the landing which was decent enough. The bed was comfy. The host is simply lovely, such a welcoming lady. For the price I was very happy.

The only slight negative was the pillow provided was very hard. But overall would definitely recommend

Room was comfortable with everything we needed. We did not spend any time here, only to sleep, as we were visiting family and only needed a bed for the night. So, if all you need is a bed for the night and a shower this works ok. Nothing fancy but does the job 🙂

So different to the characterless of Travelodge or Premier inn! Large double room, spacious bathroom. Lovely quiet patio. Attentive host. Free parking just outside the front door. Short walking distance to everything: museum, river, park,town centre, antique emporium, yarn shop, restaurants, pubs, coffee shops.

We all had a lovely stay at The Red house. We booked 3 x rooms altogether. We will be staying in Grantham quite regularly due to family now living here and will definitely stay here again. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable

The lady who checked us in was really nice and helpful.

Very pleasant, quiet and comfortable guest house.

We enjoyed a one night stay in the Red House. It was very pleasant with tea, coffee, water, and biscuits available on arrival. The hostess was welcoming and had time for her guests. Breakfast was an optional extra, which I liked. We only paid £57 for our stay, considering its proximity to the centre of town.

Generally very good and well-kept. The proprietor was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable but had to squeeze through between the end of the bed and mantlepiece because of lack of space. Bathroom large and well-appointed. There was no-one to make breakfast there on the first morning. Car parking available nearby.

The Red House was a great find after our bnb fell through. The hostess/cleaner/cook was extremely friendly and made us right at home. They have a great breakfast included or a deluxe breakfast you can pay for extra for. The building is old and spaces tight, but it was clean and budget friendly.

Check-in was a breeze. The receptionist knew my name before looking at any paperwork. She was very kind and hospitable. Our room was better than expected. It included three rooms: the bedroom, a hallway, and a bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. The added price of the breakfast was affordable and breakfast was served very fresh and very hot. I definitely recommend it.

One thing to note: parking is very limited and you will likely park along a road close by.

The Red House is convenient for Grantham Town Centre less than 10 minutes. The staff are very friendly and attentive and they run a good guest house. Didnt have the pleasure of breakfast due to early work commitments, however the dining room was nice and clean and tidy. Overall good value for money

Shabby chic stay

The Red House is a handsome looking old house on one of the main roads into Grantham, so only a short walk into the town.
We had a room on the top floor so there were 2 flights of stairs to climb. The twin room was quite a good size and had a TV, tea/coffee-making facilities and enough storage. Overall it had a rather shabby chic vibe and in places the decor actually was a bit shabby, for example the blind was stained with old watermarks.
There was a separate bathroom for our exclusive use. This had a shower over the bath. The bathroom fittings were clean but very dated, and there was some shoddy patching up of the tiling where the shower had been changed at some point.
The road outside was noisy but did quieten down by bedtime and was not a problem overnight.
The ladies running the house were very friendly and welcoming.

Very pleasant stay for a couple of nights. Within 30 minutes walk from railway station, easy to find.

Very welcoming, made changes to bedding requested. Breakfast was very good, nice way to start the day. Price for accommodation and breakfast was reasonable.

We would definitely stay here again and already plan to next month.
