The hôtel is fine, not luxurious, but very décent. The breakfast is generous, the view from the terrace is spectacular!
NOTE: Arrive before 8PM if not you’ll have to carry your luggage from the parking lot on your own, and once arrived at the hotel, no one was there! The waiter next door had to try to reach someone and gave us a key to a room. All staff had gone home at 8pm!! It was a mistake, they tough everyone had checked in. , I don’t this this kind of thing happened every day, but it was really not cool! They apologized the next day and said would comp our parking fee, then they charged us anyway!! OMG!! Ich!!!

It was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is wonderful, the best location in town with the best view of the valley from our room.
Slaven, the owner, is a very friendly guy, he organized our breakfast early in the morning, before the usual time and the other owner took us to the parking lot after breakfast.
The only complaint is that we only stayed one night, but we didn't have more time.

Motovun is a tiny village with very few hotels and restaurants. The old.town is pedestrian only so parking is 'down the hill' and the hotel car picks you up. We had a valley view adjacent to communal terrace. Hitel does a great.job ahutting terrace.down at 10 pm for noise control. Super.friendly staff and a.bonus - well.stocker honor bar in lobby w chilled beer, water, local.wines. corkscrew handy, did not need to ask. Even supplied quality glassware!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Borgo. The room is a bit small but very clean and equipped with everything you need. Very good quality beddings and linen.

Breakfast was amazing! They offered freshly made omelette every morning and you can even have it with truffles! The view from their private balcony is breathtaking. You can see the entire valley from there. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony.

Great location where you can walk to pretty much everything in Motovun tho parking can be challenging since it’s a small town with very limited parking. They offer a pick-up from a parking lot to the hotel so you won’t have to carry your luggage yourself.

The Villa Borgo is all about the staff and service. Our room was just ok, and we didn’t like climbing three flights of stairs coming and going…but the building is what it is, and they have a lovely terrace with an inc red double view. We ate well, with a freshly made breakfast for us, and great local restaurants. Plus, chocolate in their espresso!

GPS does not work. Needed this call hotel where they told us where to park and met us there to transfer to hotel.
Very friendly staff, clean but small rooms.
We kept our windows open as we went for a walk and to dinner. Unfortunately we came back to bugs in the room. Screens would be nice as the view was to beautiful to close off.

Charming bed and breakfast with GREAT BREAKFAST

Goran was such a great host! He promptly picked us up at the parking lot after we called and helped with our luggage up to the hotel. I guess you can walk yourself but we had luggage and it was late. Really not an issue for this matter- it is the charm of staying in a hill town! Check in was easy enough- we stayed in the building opposite the main check in building. The view was of the cobbled stone streets below which had its charm. The room itself is very new and modern unlike what it looks like on the outside. Breakfast and sunrise from the deck was amazing! Was the best breakfast of our breakfast whole trip! Loved this stay so much! We recommend so much!!

An incredible town to visit on top of a hill, like a mini Bled Castle except it's an entire town. Be prepared for lots of up and down hill walking on cobblestone streets and very limited parking (like non unless you are staying there. Incredible views and everyone that works there is very friendly

Perfect location in Motovun

I selected a room with a view to the countryside, and it was stunning! Staff members were so kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet features fresh cooked eggs with black truffles, and the outside terrace with incredible views can be enjoyed at breakfast or anytime. And the location at the top of Motovun, next to the loža and restaurants is perfect. I will definitely recommend Villa Borgo and Motovun to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience.

What a great little village to stay in our travels around Croatia. You will def need to have a car or own transport if visiting Motovun. We parked our car behind the Cemetery and had been given a voucher by the parking team at the bottom before going up to put on car. Otherwise it would cost you money to park down in village and take shuttle up or walk, which would be unwise with bags. Villa Borgo staff member picked us up just near cemetery and drove us to the hotel, not far really about 4mins and if walking about 10mins. The hotel is right near the main square and walkable to all the sights there. Lovely lovely little area and views are fantastic. Room was clean and tidy. Basic accom with no fridge or jug but that was ok for short stay, you can get coffee anytime from machine down in breakfast room. Great checkin and staff are friendly, helpful and speak good English. There is a little terrace to sit and have a read, coffee or drink on. We mooched the town and had a pleasant afternoon wine and meal. It’s very touristy there with lots of people coming and going through the day but settled down in the evening so we could enjoy the view, sunset and ambience. The doors to villa close at 8pm so you have your own key and if you want a drink they have a choice in the fridge in reception and just them on checkout and pay then. The breakfast was included and declisous with a good choice and I had the scrambled eggs with truffles. Overalll a great stay for a night or two.

Great B&B in the heart of Motovun

Very friendly staff. Breakfast is excellent - we ate freshly made truffle scream led eggs on the terrace outside. The view form the terrace is amazing. Location is amazing. The only negative is there is no air conditioning - the night we stayed in Motovun it was very warm so it was tough to get comfortable at night.

The apartment needs improvement.

We stayed at the downstairs apartment. There’s a strong smell of mould before the room door where there’s a staff bathroom. The fridge was dirty. We were told there was a/c but it never got cold enough. On the morning we got told it was a big fan conected to fresh water.
Breakfast was great. Internet was terrible. Service was great too. The mattress and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable giving us both back pain for two days after the stay. We loved the town and the location of the B&B.

Great position and view at the top of Motovun

Would thoroughly recommend staying here was a superb experience. Our room was an apartment with a large bathroom including a double spa and kitchen with small dining area. Amazing view from the bedroom windows. Really quiet serene location. Comfortable beds and good hot showers. Bathroom and apartment were spotlessly clean. Plenty of accessible power points for charging devices. A word of warning if coming by car as it is located at the top of the hill. You can leave the car behind the Cemetery, \"P\" signs lead the way. Then from this point you will have to walk or call Villa Borgo to see if they have an available car to collect you. We opted to walk and only brought an overnight bag with us (left main luggage in car) knowing there would be a steep upward walk ahead of us which took about 10-15min at a leisurely. pace. The roads are rough large cobblestones which added to the uniqueness of the village but to traverse this you will need to be fit and able. Breakfast is included and can be taken in their breakfast room or upstairs on the outside terrace facing their magnificent view. Two restaurants are before the hotel and we ate at Restaurant Fakin and was really good and reasonably priced with fantastic view of the sun setting..

Cute B&B in town

This hotel is located in the main city and if you have a car, there is free parking but you may need to park down the hill which some people may not like. We found this to be convenient though since the street up to the limited parking spaces beyond were down a very narrow road which went both directions and isn't that big of a deal since not many cars pass down this road. Be aware that the road up though from the parking is somewhat steep and up cobble stones so not easy to roll your luggage.

The view from the main terrace was absolutely amazing and we had a panoramic view from our bedroom although the window was small but we got to enjoy the sunset on the main terrace regardless. Front desk girl was also very pleasant. Breakfast was simple with fruit, bread, meats and cheeses but we were offered eggs with truffles in the morning which we thought was a special treat!

There's not much to do in Motovun but relax and enjoy the views so don't expect a party town. We had several meals with truffle so we were happy and content with our visit. I would highly recommend this cute little b&b!

Jättefint läge inne i borgen med en terass med fantastisk utsikt och solnedgång.

Värdinnan var mycket hjälpsam och det var en bonus att vi kunde hyra e-bikes på hotellet, så att vi kunde utforska omgivningarna med cykel. Flera fina byar inom cykelavstånd på en heldagsutflykt.

Värdinnan anvisade parkering och körde bagaget åt oss. Jättebra då det är en bit att gå från parkeringen.
