Most beautiful Hotel in the resort of San Jose
We were based in Almería and went out to stay overnight
The Hotel is decorated in Spanish style with fantastic beach views
Staff were very pleasant
We have rebooked this hotel for May 2020

Very pleasant stay

Great place in a very pleasant village that has lots of shops and restaurants and a very nice beach. Great base for exploring the Cabo de Gata national park and coast. This hotel has a few rooms with terraces that look out directly over the sea and village with no obstructions or roads between the room and the sea. Other rooms, the the annex I assume, are just as lovely but do have a small road and a few rooftops between their terraces and the sea. Still a lovely view and the road is quiet at night so it is still a wonderful location.

Spacious rooms with magnificent beach view. But folks, how about some decent bedside lighting.
Friendly but service and advice on local sights could be improved. For the price it shouldn't' be so hard to get a second cup of coffee at breakfast.
Here, it's about location and that is what it delivers.

Dinner, 18€ for menu, drinks included for non residents. Not included for residents?????
Very good food, several choices, something for everyone, good value
Breakfast bit of a disappointment, but OK for price 6€ continental. Cheap wafer thin ham, plastic type cheese.
Very overcooked scrambled egg, swimming in liquid.
No provision for any parking, Not even for disabled, it was a nightmare finding somewhere.
Hotel on beach, albeit down steep staircase. 3 minutes walk to centre.
Large room, large bathroom. overlooking sea but for the price we paid I did expect a balcony.
Couldn't keep shutters fully open, room overlooked from property next door, and staircase to beach at front of room.
Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. No lift. We had a room on the ground floor but stairs to bar and restaurant and beach.
Friendly staff, very high standard of cleanliness. Fantastic views from lounge and restaurant.

This is off the beaten path but well worth the drive through Cabo de Gato National Park. You get to a beautiful little town directly on the beach. Dona Pakyta is a great little place with a very nice restaurant but also within a short walk of the main beach of San Jose. It's a pleasant little town and if you are interested in a large public beach that's where to go. Our room was on the hill overlooking the Med with double doors opening on to a balcony that gave us a view right out of a movie. The room was clean and pleasant and the staff were always helpful. It was a wonderful stay and we absolutely plan to go back.

The hotel was lovely. WiFi was sometimes a little slow. The hotel had less information about the surroundings than might have been expected, and asking a desk clerk sometimes took a while to find ways to get to places. The environment is lovely but we had unfortunately much wind

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The chef ensured I had gluten free meals + made the extra effort to obtain gluten free rolls. We found the atmosphere extremely relaxing. This we feel was due to the endless attention given by the staff to guarantee that our stay was a success!

L’arrivée à la réception a une vue magnifique sur la mer avec une décoration soignée.
On s’attend à trouver les chambres dans le même bâtiment mais il faut ressortir , traverser la rue et monter des escaliers qui vous amène dans la rue au dessus ou les chambres donnent directement,
La porte en bois qui ouvre la chambre est un peu vieillotte, sinon la chambre est grande avec une terrasse et une jolie vue. La salle de bain est correcte avec un miroir grossissant , un sèche cheveux , un bidet et les toilettes intégrées.
Le petit déjeuner se prend dans le bâtiment de la réception mais pas à l’extérieur malgré le cadre malheureusement. Le personnel vous sert à table dans l’ordre d’arrivée à la salle à manger.
L’hôtel est bien par contre je déconseille le restaurant ou la nourriture est chère et bien moyenne avec un personnel limite agréable.

Íbamos pensando y pagando un hotel de cuatro estrellas,la habitación nos la dieron en un edificio anexo ,cosa que no me importa, pero qué no estaba al nivel del edificio principal. Estaba bastante viejo y deteriorado.Otra decepción fue el desayuno poco surtido ,poca calidad, y sin capacidad de preparar ni unos huevos fritos. Que hotel de cuatro estrellas da ese servicio?

Il plus dell'albergo è la vista magnifica, specie le camere con terrazza sul mare sono veramente piacevoli. Personale molto cortese e disponibile. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, specie fuori stagione. Unico neo, alcune piccole manutenzioni da fare (tipo la porta finestra del terrazzo che si apre a fatica); probabilmente in inverno sistemeranno tutto.

Wir haben zu vier ein herrliches verlängertes Wochenende verbracht. 1 Zimmer im Nebengebäude mit Terrasse, das andere im Hauptgebäude mit Meerblick. Direkter Zugang zum Sandstrand, gemütliche Bars und Restaurants in der Nähe, die wunderschönen Strände Playa Monsul und Genoveses sind in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Smuk naturpark.

Et fint lille hotel i en hyggelig by midt i naturparken Cabo de Gata med mange vandrermuligheder lige fra hotellet. Havet som nærmeste nabo og dejligt stille. Morgen mad var ikke noget særligt og service var ikke mere end OK.

Nettes, familiäres Hotel direkt oberhalb Strand

Nach anderen Erlebnissen an der Südküste (Hotelburgen) war der Aufenthalt im Donja Pakyta die reinste Wohltat für die Seele. Unser Zimmer lag ausserhalb des Haupthauses mit sehr schöner Terasse und Meerblick.

Strano soggiorno !

Siamo stati al dona pakyta solo 2 notti! Non siamo stati molto fortunati poiché il tenpo era incerto poi c'è stato un black aut durato parecchio....troppo...in tutta la zona! X questo non posso dire molto! Penso che non sarebbe stato male soggiornare li in condizioni migliori! Bello l'hotel e la posizione!

Good hotel with a nice view

The hotel was very nice and our room was quite large with a nice sea view. The surrounding area is incredible. I can especially recommend the hiking trails in the area. The only thing I can complain about is that we had some trouble checking out. The receptionist had a hard time understanding that we had paid the room in advance via hotels.com (even though we had a receipt). Due to the language barrier it took some time to get the situation sorted out.

Hotel cómodo, agradable, acceso directo a la playa

Escogimos este hotel para pasar las vacaciones navideñas en Cabo de Gata.
Hotel bien situado, con vistas al mar y a la bahia de San José.
Trato amable y atento por parte del personal que nos atendió.
Habitación, con ventana con vistas al mar, sencilla, cómoda y limpia.
Desayuno completo, y muy agradable poder tomarlo cara al mar.
En estas fechas en todo el cabo de gata se respiraba tranquilidad.
El tiempo fue estupendo.
Nuestra estáncia fue muy buena lo recomendamos.

Very nice little place

Practically in the center of San Jose but at the same a little out. Good food in the restaurant. Some rooms don't have a sea view which wasn't completely clear from the description while booking. Beach in front of the hotel is nice and there are good hiking routes to some really beautiful beached further away.

Fast ein eigenes Haus in Strandnähe

Kein typisches Hotelzimmer sondern quasi ein eigenes Appartement im spanisch-andalusischen Stil. Viel grösser als erwartet (2 schlafzimmer, 2 bäder, eingangszimmer, balkon). Frühstück war genau richtig. Das Menü abends im Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert!

Unas vistas expléndidas desde las instalaciones generales del hotel e, imagino, desde habitaciones situadas en el edificio principal, que es primera línea de playa en alto, no desde nuestra habitación que daba a una calle con poco tránsito.
El trozo de playa que queda enfrente es estupendo. Se accede por una escalinata desde el hotel.
Las habitaciones y baños amplios. Yo pondría mosquiteras en las ventanas y puertas de las terrazas, por sentirse uno más seguro en un clima cálido, como el que tiene Almería.
Lo recomendaría sin dudar.

Magnífico hotel

Teníamos una habitación muy espaciosa y bonita con las 2 ventanas dando hacia el mar, pese a algún pequeño desperfecto en los baldosines del cabecero de la cama y a un grifo del baño que goteaba y no les dio tiempo a arreglar antes de marcharnos la habitación era espléndida. No tenemos ninguna queja.

Hotel muy bonito pero falto de información

El hotel es realmente bonito, pero nos alojaron en unas habitaciones/apartamentos en un edificio distinto. Posteriormente nos enteramos que el motivo era que la caldera estaba rota. No pudimos entrar en la habitación hasta las 12:30 y cuando entramos olía a húmedo, como sí llevará tiempo cerrada. El restaurante muy bueno, la comida del mediodía espectacular así como el desayuno. Al final nos dejo buen sabor de boca, me refiero al hotel, aunque habríamos estado contentos desde el principio si hubiéramos recibido toda la información.
