lovely hotel on one of the best neaches in Tulum. Staff was highly attentive to our needs and sincerely wanted my family to have a memorable experience. The room has the look and feel of a spa. The complimentary breakfast was healthy and delicious. Small, quaint, and delightful. We'll be back for another week.

This is an amazing place to stay. I would stay again for sure. Very nice beach and you can take the electric car to go to the ruins. The only thing to keep in mind is that getting in and out of the hotel requires ordering a taxi from the hotel since they don't let anyone in and out of the park where the hotel is located. Very friendly staff and the room is very well equipped.

We had a very nice time at El Paraiso Hotel de Tulum. It was located on a beautiful beach – although be aware of the season, lots of seaweed. So I don’t know if it’s just in the summer or what, but there was a lot of it. But once you stepped over the seaweed, the water was really pretty. The service was great-they answered all my questions and were able to recommend a snorkeling and cenote tour. Bring your bug spray and your sunscreen you will need both.

This is an amazing place. The hotel is inside Del Jaguar Parque Tulum.
You need to go through the park gate when you come to the hotel. It’s 120 pesos every time you leave and come back during park hours. After park hours, you can keep your wristband.
There are some great restaurants down the beach and the restaurant at the beach club is good. Breakfast is very good and the service is excellent. We loved the beach club and the beach itself is beautiful with nice clean fine white sand. There is a lot of seaweed at times in the water. The room was small but the cleaning was excellent with different ‘towel animals’ every day. There are free shuttles in the park to get to the ruins and museum.
I would definitely recommend it.

Well located property but did feel that the price/value ratio was off. I did have a situation where i was handed two lanyards with a key to the room and one for the room safe. Somehow the key to the safe fell off the lanyard in a quick walk to a restaurant next door. Ended up having to pay $100 to replace that key that fell off the lanyard they gave me. Property should make the switch to code based safes and different key systems. So it did not feel great to pay $100 after overpaying for the room. The ocean had a lot of algae and that contributed to the feel of not receiving proper value.

This property was exactly what we were looking for. Small hotel but beautiful inside and out! Steps from the beautiful beach and beach club that offers lounge beds for your full day on the beach. There is also a restaurant on site where breakfast is included. The food was great! The hotel is in a national park which was very nice. There are a few restaurants in walking distance and there is a tram that takes you throughout the park during the day. Also a museum that is free!! The ladies at the reception desk were very helpful. They reserved restaurants for us and excursions! They kept in contact with us throughout. My family of 3 felt very safe and we had the best time! We will definitely be back here!

The facilities and the hotel staff were amazing! We arrived late the night of our check in and we called the hotel and they were so kind as to pick up take out for us because the restaurants in the immediate area would be closed by the time we arrived. The location was ideal for what me and my friends were looking for. The private beach club meant that things were lively and exciting during the day but in the early mornings and evenings we had the beach, ocean, and stars to ourselves. Being located right by the ruins was such a luxury. We biked there in under 10mins. The breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious and had a good variety. We could also have lunch and dinner at the beach club but there are a few restaurants in the area to try. Marco, Martha, Lucia, and Cassandra were all amazing. Thank you so much for your hospitality!!!

While the hotel was pretty and the beach is clean - check in was smooth staff was very pleasant- offered an upgrade which we booked thro uh h Expedia - and as VIP of Expedia it should have been free- it was $600 USD we stayed in the bungalow which was nice but comes with no extra amenities lol was even charged for the milk for the coffee in the room.
Everyone is very aggressive with tips to be received - but this was true for all the restaurants we visited not just the hotel restaurant. This hotels restaurant closes at 5:30-6PM and dinner is not available. You can ask front desk to arrange a car for you but the price they give you will not be the price when you get in the cab lol both times for scammed out of an additional 100-200 pesos. Also hotel does not follow the current conversions USD to Pesos and when told theirs was off changing prices by a few dollars o was met with pretty aggravated responses. On the one hand what’s a few dollars ? But on the other you should be honest.
Hotel all in all is nothing to cry home about and neither is service although the beach itself area was beautiful and kept clean as it’s in the national park.

Great full day and night at El Paraiso

Friendly place, small hotel with beach club. Martha was extremely accommodating with our last minute booking (the morning of!). Beach club was great and beach bed was included with reservation, as well as breakfast. The hotels provides bikes to go exploring or in our case to the restaurant Casa Maria in the evening.

Note that there is a 60 pesos per person charge to enter the national park within which the hotel is located. You cannot bring cans, plastic bottles or alcohol in the park.

Beautiful but hard to move around

The beach is spectacular and it feels special to be right in the national park. Good food and good service. I was dissapointed to learn that even though the hotel only has 10 rooms, the beach area is public and they actually rent beds to people that are not staying in the hotel. I was looking for a more private experience. However the service was great, and the food and the beach was gorgeous.

They dont offer dinner and its hard to move around if you can’t bike or didn’t rent your own car. Taxis are very expensive in Tulum. So sometimes getting dinner was kind of a feat. If you stay here or in the national park, make sure to have your own way of transportation.

The staff working in this hotel is all fabulous! the most helpful, friendly and efficient people that one can hope for. From the people at the reception to the cleaning and gardening staff, they all are willing to help all the time.
My husband and I cannot thank them enough!

This is a very small, no luxuries hotel. Since it is quite expensive for a 3-star place, I was hoping that we would be paying for peace and quiet. It was not so. They have a beach club, where anyone who pays for the day can use the beach beds, umbrellas, bar, etc. This means that, even in this small hotel one finds big crowds of boisterous people on the hotel's beach area. If you think that you are paying prime prices for a boutique small hotel with few people, think twice before booking.

Staff of great! The reason I would not return is the accommodations within a secluded location. The restaurant and beach and beach club close at 6:00 pm and everything is far . So if you’re hungry or want a drink you need to take a cab somewhere. Also our rooms toilet began to randomly bubble and smell like strong sewage this happened twice during our stay .

Everything about this place was perfect. The staff were very helpful! Especially the reception personnel. The rooms and grounds were always clean. The food was on point!!

Perhaps the only minor issue is the lack of access to food after 6pm. Though this is temporary due to the construction, the staff was always ready to help in any way. They literally went above and beyond to accommodate.

I’m grateful that we decided to stay here. Looking forward to returning when we visit again.

Paraiso Beach -3 night stay with family

Beach front property, facing east so you can watch beautiful sunrises! If you like a little quietness and low key stay, this is away from the town center. Beautiful location. Thera a lot of construction happening in Tulum and it was a little hard to find the entrance to the hotel. It is actually located inside the National Park and walking distance to the Tulum Mayan Ruins. We stayed for 3 nights with my family of 5. Breakfast was great and free!

My room was to accommodate 4 people. I got there with my wife and kids (9&7) 2 queen bed room. They wanted to charge me an additional $60/each. They were extremely rude. Very bad experience, we left. We did not even sleep there. They made us feel very unwelcome.
They charge like if it was a 5star hotel, the actual hotel is more like a 2 star and the staff and service was a zero. Beach is spectacular.

This hotel has wonderful access to the beach and beach club. Sunrise is perfect and breakfast at the restaurant is included. The hotel staff, specifically Diana and Abril, were so helpful and arranged a snorkeling excursion for us. We liked that the beach club closes early (6pm) so that the area is quiet at night and not a loud party spot. Truly a paradise!

We liked this place. Staff was friendly, grounds were nice. Restaurant was expensive for what it was. Not great but servicable. The main problem was the huge mounds of rotting kelp lining the beach. Not sure how much the hotel could do about that, but it made the beach essentially useless. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves most of the times we went there. We would come back for sure, now that we kniw we can check kelp forecasts

It was 3 of us on this trip, my husband and our 15 year old son. The front desk staff met us as we exited our taxi cab. They were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay helping us with dining options, reservations, things to do based on our interests, helping with transportation, etc. Our room was great: a delux suite with 2 queen beds. Large enough for the 3 of us without being cramped. Very large bathroom too. We loved the outdoor tables and chairs where we could relax or eat our breakfast. My husband loved the hammocks. We enjoyed the beach club as well. And the proximity to the Tulum Ruins was perfect! We used the complimentary hotel bikes to bike to the ruins. We will definitely stay here on our return trip to Tulum!

This is my second time staying at El Paraiso.
A little hotel, conveniently located on the beach.
Besides the beach being their best asset, their customer services is their second strongest asset. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and always willing to assist you.
This hotel includes breakfast, which is delivered to your room every morning by Nancy, our favorite person in the entire hotel. She is amazing.
This hotel has a beach club that is open to the public, so make sure to get your spot early in the morning. It gets full before 11am. It is a popular destination as it has beds and loungers (no that many in Tulum)
As a hotel guest you have free access to the club. They have Food and Beverage service at the club. They serve you in your spot! Priceless!!!!
My only complaint is that the beach club closes at 5pm. Making you leave the hotel for dinner.
This is a good place if you have children. It ia convenient, small and it have a great vibe.
The rooms have A/C, showers with hot water and the mattresses are amazing!!!!! I sleep like a baby

Great spot on the beach close to the ruins and has a nice beach club. Nothing too fancy just very comfortable. We cycled ( free bikes ) to the ruins in about 10-15 mins and also into town in about 25 mins. It’s very quiet at night as it’s in the National Park area so great for a quiet stay. If you want something more lively stay further south on the beach strip ( south of Kore )

El Paraiso made our stay in Tulum easy, safe, and pleasant. They are a mature hotel and have systems in place for everything you'd need. The basics, such as drinking water, A/C, food, electricity, etc., made our stay comfortable. The parts we came for, like the beach, were as good as we expected. The special parts - such as our concierges, Abril and Cyntia - made it even more wonderful.

Tulum's hotel zone is built with no infrastructure. If you go to some other hotels, you might find that you get 1 bottle of water per day, that electricity goes out from 10pm-7am (the city shuts it off everywhere), or that you're exposed to the elements, or that there's loud music from the club next door at all hours of the night. El Paraiso has a big water refilling station, a generator so power is on 24/7, excellent hotel rooms with A/C, clean rooms with privacy, and is quiet.

The breakfast in the morning is really great. We were initially worried about the whole breakfast-at-your-hotel-room approach, since we don't really like room service in general, but this was not as it seems! El Paraiso's hotel rooms have these beautiful terraces with tables and chairs, and the breakfast is brought out there. All the breakfast food was wonderful and we ate as much as we wanted. We could walk over to the kitchen and ask for some granola, another cup of coffee, whatever - and they'd put it together with a big smile. They even made us sandwiches for lunch one day.

P.S., give Abril a raise!

El Paraiso was amazing. They were very accommodating and my friend and I were very needy. The room was clean and the maids cleaned every day. It is on the beach which was a must for beach bums. The front desk service was amazing. Every time we needed something, they made it happen. From making reservations, scheduling COVID tests to bringing extra towels to the room. The grounds were very secure. There is a guard at the gate where you have to show your room key to leave and come back in. If you are coming though taxi for the night, the front guard will phone the security guard on duty to make sure that you get dropped off and get into your room. The complimentary breakfast is actually really good. The afternoon before, the front desk will text you through whats app to pick your breakfast and the next morning, it comes to your door. Overall, we had a great experience.

I absolutely loved El Paraiso Hotel Tulum. The customer service & communication was perfect. The staff is very friendly & there is security on site which made me feel really safe. The breakfast is really good & the food at their restaurant|beach is also good. The beach was nice but I came during the season where there is a lot of seaweed so I couldn’t get in the water which is out of the hotel’s control but thought I should add that. I had a great stay & will def be coming back to El Paraiso Hotel Tulum. As far as location it is a 20-25minute drive to all of the restaurants|beach clubs on the strip so expect to pay lots of taxis. My favorite part of the stay is that I was communicating with the staff my whole stay via WhatsApp & they respond very quickly. Excellent service! 10/10!

As well as setup our Covid tests needed to return to the USA. WiFi is a bit slow and they use WhatsApp for communication. So download that before arrival because we had a hard time getting mine to download while I was there. But all in all we had a great experience.

if it was not the wrong location, I would have continued to stay there. The room and condition were nice especially for the price I paid... the beach was beautiful with palm trees around...

It’s hard to rate my stay taking that the manager is not polished, nice or pleasant. Her staff is great but she’s miserable and very rude, my room upon check in had so many bugs I had to spend around 1 hr trying to kill all of them so I could sleep in peace, I had to take hotel towels to kill them around the room and bathroom, it was not clean when I arrived, the bugs were enormous and the room looked unkept. The beach is beautiful but the place is not well maintained, and I repeat that the manager is very rude and not helpful at all, the abode by their own rules not by the hotel check in rules they provide upon check in, at night it’s very poorly secure and hard to see as there’s absolutely no lights, I didn’t feel safe and or appreciated, don’t recommend this place at all to anybody

A unique gem in Tulum

We booked the hotel by mistake and didn't realize it until we arrived. Glad we made the error. It's a great, small hotel!

Rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable, good WiFi and the AC worked perfectly. The made-to-order breakfast was a very pleasant plus. Note: Other than breakfast, there is no restaurant at the hotel. Outstanding service by the staff from check in to check out.

Originally, we wanted to be in the heart of Tulum's hotel row. Instead, El Paraiso is in the national archeological zone and is on the opposite end from the hustle and bustle of the hotel zone.

The beach at the hotel is wide and well maintained. It has been rated as the best beach in Mexico. I agree with that rating. Hotel guests have free access to the beach club. Menu has plenty of options and the prices are much more reasonable than beach clubs on the main strip. Service ends at 4:30 p.m. though people are welcome to stay longer.

A few beautiful, low-key restaurants are nearby.
