We had a fabulous 9 night stay at Dunclutha House. Julie and Richard were fabulous hosts. The room was fabulous, teas & home made shortbread delivered daily, room and restroom were always kept up. The full scotiat breakfast was the highlight of our mornings, we always look forward to haggis and home cooked meals when we visit Scotland. We visited the jucuzzi, always nice and hot! We did not need a car as the walk to the train station was 12 minutes through town, and was an hour ride to Edinburgh and just 20 to Kirkaldy to catch other trains through Scotland. We visited lots of great restaurants and fish & chips in town, and even visited the 5000 year old standing stones at Lundin lakes golf course in leven. Such a wonderful visit!!! Will surely do it again! I

Such a great spot - I stayed here for one night before flying out of Edinburgh the next day. The owners of the guest house truly thought of everything for a very reasonable price, a large Scottish breakfast included. My room was clean, included homemade shortbread, coffee, & tea, and was very homey. Use of the hot tub in the backyard was an added bonus at the end of the evening as well! The town itself is cute and very walkable, the fish at Imries Fish Bar was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This was my second visit, Julie the landlady is great, everything you could need is provided, from tissues to extra blankies and more. Her breakfasts are almost belly busting, a great selection, including homemade jams. It's a home away from home, for me especially, she has two beautiful cats, so I don't get homesick 😀.

The owners Julie and Richard are the most wonderful hosts! The room we had was so comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing and loved Julie’s homemade jams. Superb property and host! Located just off the end of the high street and about 10 minute walk from train and bus stations. Met by host who was very friendly and welcoming. We were away too early to have the renowned cooked breakfast, but host agreed that it was no problem to have a very early “cold” breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast and coffee - lots of choice and plenty to set us up! Wonderful! Room was very clean, comfortable, well appointed and with plenty of storage space. Very comfy beds. Good TV. Great tea / coffee making facilities, including great home made biscuits. Superb, powerful, hot, easy to use shower with toiletries provided. This was a great experience at a great price for what was provided. Very good value! Will definitely stay again!

For me this was the most relaxing mini break I've had. Julie the owner/hostess is very friendly and chatty and nothing is too much trouble. Her rooms are spotless, bright and tastefully decorated. Depending on how your walking is, the beach is anything from 5-10 mins away, and what a beach it is. Julie's breakfast gives hotel chains a run for their money. Fully cooked and/or continental, you're spoilt for choice. I couldn't think of anything I needed in my room, everything was there, extra heater, tower fan, toiletries, well stocked tea/coffee tray including welcome tub of homemade shortbread. For me, I was in heaven, the added bonus of Julie's cats was a surprise and delight. Hygiene is observed, the cats are in a run outside whilst breakfast is on the go, but once that is over, they are happy to meet and greet guests. They were the highlight of my stay. I've already booked my next visit, where I'll pop on a local bus that goes to St Andrews, apparently only takes 30 mins.

Amazing stay in a fab guest house in Leven. The room was very good, bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent. The breakfast was superb. We both had veggie and the sausages and vege haggis was very good. The whole place was very warm. The cats were a hoot. Owners were very friendly and upbeat. Would recommend staying here and would stay in the future. Bus station about 10 mins walk. But there are bus stops to Glenrothes a short walk away. Cheers 😁😁

The bed is so comfortable that you are in real danger of missing breakfast. 3 mornings I woke up and was so comfortable I considered skipping breakfast. 3 of us friends traveled together and stayed 1 night on our way to the Highlands. The B&B has been beautifully renovated and decorated. We shared a room with 3 comfortable beds. The best homemade shortbread was left for us to snack on. The following morning, Julie made a delicious and very filling breakfast which included an assortment of her homemade jams. I wish we could have stayed longer! The owners have cats but it’s obvious that they are not allowed in the guest bedrooms, as my cat allergies did not bother me. I highly recommend this place.

Julie, the host, was excellent. I stayed 8 days. There was a made to order hot breakfast each day. At the end of a hard day of golf, there was a hot tub in which to relax. The room had everything one needed. Any problem that arose, Julie solved. I had a flight schedule change that resulted in needing extra accommodation, which, although she was fully booked, Julie managed to rearrange things to allow me to stay on. If i were back in the area I would definitely stay there. Cannot say enough good things about Julie and the Dunclutha Guest House.
