My son broke his arm the weekend before our trip. We called, emailed and texted multiple times to try to either get a credit or limit the charges for our room. Then finally the night of, we get a call from someone who was trying to work out when we would arrive. When I tried to explain the situation, she said she was too busy and would \"call me back later\", which never happened. Epic fail.

This property seems to be under new management. The pictures and reviews are from the previous owners. Rooms are clean and tidy but sparse. They have obviously put some money into simple updates.The parking lot was very icy. Our room wasn’t ready even though we arrived an hour and a half after check in. The electronic lock on our door had been recently removed and replaced with a simple lever handle but the hole from the other handle was covered with electrical tape. In my opinion the rooms are overpriced for what you get. One room didn’t even have a TV amd when we asked they told us, “they don’t work and we’re taking them out.” I hope they are able to get the business they need to put money back into the motel.

Clean, warm room with comfortable beds in a convenient location very close to Gore mountain. The lodge has a pool table and serves delicious soup and dumplings! (Sadly, we are vegetarian and didn't get to taste them, but the group next to us absolutely raved and even requested the dumplings again for breakfast.) Best of all, CB, the host, was incredibly kind, friendly, and went out of her way to be helpful. We lost our car keys - obviously a huge hassle - and she offered both material and emotional support, giving us a ride to the mountain with all our suitcases and gear and lifting our spirits with her positivity and joyful energy. We wish her and the North Creek Lodge much success and happiness.

This place is a mess. Rooms are frigid, management tries to rip you off in all ways (early check in fees, 25 dollars pre cooked dumplings, no refund), no staff except two workers who try their best but they're obviously overwhelmed. The most annoying part is the \"owners\" attitude who repeatedly told me that if \"I was unhappy I could leave\" (with no refund obviously...) while arguing that a 50 degrees room temperature was fine and a carbon monoxide alarm going off after they started a space heater was also fine....
Online you can find news about multiple changes of management and unpaid bills. I think this is another chapter of an already bad story

This place needs a visit by the health department and L/I. We have photos that we wish we could upload of the horrible condition of the place.
The front door had a hole where the old lock maybe was? If you removed tape you saw inside/outside. No deadbolt. The door knob was an interior door knob/lock like you would find on a home’s bathroom for the outside door.
Hair inside the tub and on the window sill.
Tub was “peeling” everywhere.
Sink leaking underneath.
cracked flooring throughout with pieces coming up.
Coarse dirt on floors. Bad internet/can’t make calls. Loose outlets everywhere. No outlet in the bathroom. Bathroom window did not lock. Bathroom door was impossible to open/close because did not fit opening. Did not check the front windows to see if they locked. No trash removal or housekeeping. Beds mismatched. Towels mismatched and some clearly stained/old.
NO TOILET PAPER. HAD TO BUY OUR OWN.
Had to ask for towels if needed them.
Had three items on the dinner menu. Three items total. Burger. Wings. Soup. Full menu online! And kitchen came out to apologize our dinner order was never put in. Kitchen person said this was her “first time doing this.” Don’t have the old menu posted online if you’re not serving it.
Don’t have the old check in instructions posted/emailed out if they have changed.
Stay away from this place. There is new ownership but they are clearly clueless. I’ve stayed at places all over the world, this was by far the worst.

A long list. Owners have no idea and don’t want to be there. Tried giving me a smaller room than I booked. Then gave me the correct room but it wasn’t cleaned; claimed the staff said it was, but clearly they don’t verify. Dirty floor, bath, toilet, used towels and threadbare, wrinkled hair-covered bedding. Then claimed I didn’t need all of the items of bedding. Heat was off, and asked if I wanted heat (in the winter!) then turned it on to mid 60s. Restaurant smelled like aging raw meat; breakfast was a very small bowl of scrambled eggs; didn’t get any.

Check in was contactless and easy! Great location! Used the room for a winter snowboard trip and it worked great! Room had the bare minimum, no fridge but it was cold enough outside. Wish there was a floor mat at the entry door for wet shoes - other than that, 10/10 if you just want a room that gets the job done this is it. If you want the extra luxuries/ amenities - maybe look elsewhere. Overall will stay again!

The hotel wasn’t open, when we arrived the place was filled with half opened boxes, the owner informed me that the hotel won’t be opening for two more weeks. The front desk wanted to hand write my credit card info for a deposit, when I refused she charged my card (I already paid $190/night through Expedia). Our room was freezing, the mattresses felt like sleeping on cardboard, the window in the bathroom wouldn't close, the owner brought us a small space heater that did not heat the room. We couldn’t shower or drink the water because it smelled & tasted like something rotten was in it. I specifically booked because breakfast was included & it was close to Gore, breakfast was ONE sunny side up egg & one piece of white bread. The coffee was lukewarm and made with the foul water, basically dirty water.

The owner shared that she had to evict the last tenant & was in the process of setting up for the season, while I can empathize, I would’ve never booked there if the hotel wasn’t open. We were completely catfished and now I have to fight the extra charge on my credit card. Super frustrating!

My room was infested with flies and ladybugs (we killed about 10 flies, left for five minutes, and 10 more were there when we came back). When I texted the number listed as the emergency contact on the door of the lobby, I was told there were no available rooms and then the person stopped responding to my messages and didn't return any of my calls when I asked for further assistance. I would recommend staying anywhere but here.

We stayed as a group of seven people. The whole place was basically not functional except the room that we stayed in had been redone with nice beds and pillows, and it was clean. The remainder of the property is really not ready to be stayed in at all the entire lounge and dining area is in shambles because they’re between owners. No one stayed overnight on the property. The state of the property was basically chaotic and not at all ready for any kind of guest. The woman who checked us in, was kind enough to go and pick up our takeout food as we were on motorcycles. There was no coffee, no breakfast and they were still under a water order because they had just flushed their system. Overall, we should’ve canceled And rebooked someplace else. When we called a few days prior, he told us that the dining room was not functional or the bar. And he offered to go get our takeout food. But did not tell us about the water ban. It was not worth even half of what we paid because we certainly didn’t get all the things that were included in the price.

The place has some huge problems standing in the way of itself. It was clean, but that’s all it had going for it. The website for the hotel stated the restaurant was open on Sunday and Monday nights, but it was closed. There is absolutely nothing open in all of North Creek on a Sunday or Monday night for restaurants in winter, so misrepresenting your business on your website really sucked. The bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable (literally like sleeping on a sheet of plywood with one thin blanket) and the faux wood flooring in our room was coming up at the seams when you walked across it. No cell service in the area, so when we had no hot water in our room, how could we even call? We ran the water for over five minutes and it never got hot. As we were leaving, a helpful rep ran the water in the room next to ours for a long time, and then our room had hot water. Unless you’re diehard to stay right near Gore mountain, just get a room in Lake George for cheaper and you’ll have a more comfortable stay.

It’s super convenient spot for Gore Mt. ski trip, and definitely friendly staffs. But it’s a bit noisy and outdated. Floor was definitely needed vacuum and bathtub shower liner was dirty, very dirty. They need better cleaning and maintenance. We didn’t get to try breakfast because it starts at 7:45 and we were at the mountain at 7:40. Who wants to stay late for breakfast than going up to the mountain? Seriously, serving breakfast that late is jeopardizing the whole point of staying right next to the mountain. If I care about amenities, I would stay at Lake Gorge and drive 30min.

This place feels very outdated and not particularly clean. After washing my hair, I realized they don’t provide a hairdryer—and with long hair, it takes hours to dry on its own. They also set the thermostat to just 65 degrees at night, and when I tried to turn it up, it didn’t work. With temperatures dropping to -5°F outside, it was uncomfortably cold. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

Expedia site said dinning was open on property on Sunday. A main reason we booked it. Only to find out it’s closed. Got snotty attitude when we asked about it. If I could have cancelled my reservation that night I would have. Had to drive 10 miles out of town to find a place to eat. Room is a dump. Beds are aweful. The room was clean, and they had made an effort to update a very old and run down property, but the effort was minimal.
They had also advertised \"breakfast included\", I even called to confirm and was told it was a continental breakfast. What they put out I wouldn't touch. The items out were obviously old and the area wasn't clean. There was a coffee cup on the table of the dimly lit room, between the nearly empty box of hostess coffee cakes and the jar of peanut butter, with many dirty cigarette butts in it.
That spoiled anything that was halfway decent about the place for me.
I never saw a staff member during the two nights we were there.

No frills motel in the middle of nowhere. Quiet, semi-comfortable, never saw anybody staffing the place, we were pretty much on our own. Notes were left on how to enter our motel and no amenities whatsoever. There was no breakfast! I know it was off season, but they said they offered breakfast, walked into the main office/restaurant area, nobody there, no coffee available, no food available, place was dingy. They should not say they offer breakfast and then come to find out there's nothing there for you. Very disappointed about that. Especially for the price.

First time ever at this lodge, booked it for my lodging for a wedding. Staff was super accommodating, knew the area and provided directions and recommendations, the room was clean and spacious. I loved having my own entrance and being able to park directly in front of my room. Being the Adirondacks theres some travel involved to get to places but this spot is located near plenty, within 20minutes. I would absolutely stay here again.
One thing, the continental breakfast isn't much, but its definitely appreciated.

Terrible place, I will never stay there again. The Continental breakfast was a joke! The room was filthy ,shower curtains have stain marks, blood and dirt on them. The floor was never cleaned, there were insects in the room, expected a decent breakfast only to find out only bagel was available with some cheese and frozen muffin that looks very old with coffee. Good luck to whomever decides to stay there.

This room has a rating of 9.2 (rating described as \"wonderful\") with 191 reviews. I truly believe these ratings are forged. My family does a lot of traveling and this is the second to worst place we've ever stayed. We are not high maintenance people.

When we arrived that evening, the staff had left the windows open, likely to try and cool the room down before our arrival. However, the screens were literally destroyed and the room was swarming with bugs. To prevent more bugs from coming in, we had to shut the windows, which left us sweltering in the night, as there is no AC.

There was an entire tile broken out in the bathroom so you could see into the wall.

The bathroom door didn't shut.

The ceiling had so much water damage in one area that the tiles were concave.

There was no interior dead bolt or lock. Anyone who had access to the room key or room key machine could enter at will. We felt so unsafe that we looked into other hotel rooms at 12:00 at night but there were none in close proximity. Instead, my son slept with a swiss army knife and I took down the iron to protect ourselves.

It was terrible! I have pictures and a video to support this review.

The owners and staff are amiable. Check-in was effortless and convenient to do. Breakfast was a typical grab-and-go style with bagels, yogurt, coffee, milk, orange juice, and fruit. Not everyone likes that style, but it was perfect for my stay since I had early activity plans for the day and needed something quick. They have a sand volleyball court with cornhole and a firepit which was fun to do for a night. You are in the woods, though, so service is spotty. You can log in to wifi, but it may be tricky if you need GPS after you leave the lodge. Overall, my stay was good, and I would return if I were to revisit the area.

Pictures of the hotel are very misleading, the actual rooms are much more rundown than advertised. The rooms were dusty and dead bugs were scattered around. Staff were also quite rude. If you just need a place to sleep, it’s good enough, but don’t expect anything more.

It was nice and rustic rooms. There was cobwebs around corners of bathroom but mostly the room was clean. Service was very friendly and pleasant. AC was loud but with earplugs it was okay

Clean, recently updated, and very friendly staff. One of the nicer ones you’ll stay in, but note that unlike what the pictures suggest this is a motel, not a hotel. Go into it with that expectation and you’ll be quite satisfied.

Most important the room was clean and nicely appointed. The resturant was limited but good. But I cant say enough about the folks, and owner. Very nice and really made you feel welcome.

Rooms big and spacious, but property poorly maintained. Screen falling apart, in window AC with towels used to seal around air conditioner. Dirty with spider webs everywhere with bugs trapped in them. Will not return again.

Dead bugs on the floor. Stained sheets. Floor boards literally coming off. And one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in. The staff were friendly, but I cannot recommend this place.

Great experience. Not a fancy place but clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Great burgers and fries at the restaurant and complimentary breakfast with yogurt, bagels and coffee. Would stay again for sure.
