Just double check and call the property before you go. This was our second time staying. The first time was excellent, this time not so much. I booked a cabin back in January for this March trip. I got the email welcoming me and gave me to door code to get in. We went in and it def. looked like someone was still staying there. I went to the office and the lady told me that \"I just found out you were scheduled to stay like an hour ago, and everything is booked due to a fencing company \". I asked her what that meant and she said she only had 2 rooms available and they weren't a cabin. The first room she let me check out was hot as hell but the second one was decent. I wasnt upset but def. disappointed. I believe the cabins are more expensive and I didnt get was I paid for.

I was booked the hotel but when I reached there nobody was there at Hotel. For this I blamed to hotel.com too that no response given by you people when I was trying to contact you as well as hotel. I called several times to property owner but did not get response. It was snowing and raining and got so stressed and finally I booked another hotel and got call from hotel and said she is gonn refund but I did not get my money back. Hopefully next time I am not going to trust hotel.com and book from you too.

wounderful little 1950s style, contemporary gem.

very nice little hotel. very 1950s setup but very contemporary inside. My room was awsome very very clean. the bed was wounderful. the only thing was the bathroom light lacked illuminating the shower. the owner has set up a wounderful hotel. i highly recomend. the price was very good.

The room was clean; however, carpet is extremely old and needs to be replaced, kinda gross to even walk on it. The bathroom door wouldn't shut and the panel was catching on the frame ready to rip apart. The shower head would not adjust and only produced a little stream of water, the water temperature is very difficult to adjust, the water is more hot and burned my scalp. No where to put anything, only floor space and a serious lack of outlets. It's a great place other than the condition of the room.

Motel does not have road appeal but our room was clean and comfortable. Bed had form topper and was very comfortable. Shower was small but great water pressure. Overall maintenance of facility lacking, but no issues with room during our stay.

We booked this based on the 7.5 on Hotels and 4 on google.

Don't make the same mistake.

The motel is pretty rundown.(I don't know about the cabins). Our room was not clean. It hadnt been vacuumed. The refrigerator was dirty inside and on top. There was mold in the shower. The bed WAS comfortable, I'm happy to report. The a/c was weak but worked.

I see several 10/10 reviews on Hotels. What I saw didn't reflect that at all.

Adequate for the price. Dark carpet is odd, no coffee maker, a/c duct work open, and went out during a storm. No mgr on site, but he did text me to welcome and changed the room with ease before we arrived. But was non responsive when the a/c failed.

Vents aren't covered and are clogged with tons of dust and dirt. No one had cleaned the fridge out and there was a can of dog food in it. The fridge and coffee maker were covered in dust. The outside was in shambles. And all this on top of the fact that when we checked in, our room was completely uncleaned - I mean, the beds were unmade, boot prints and dirt on the sheets, trash in the room. Just terrible.

This property is totally disgusting and run down. The sheets were stained and covered with body hair. The main light didn't work. The entrance door had gaps in it allowing cold air in. I called the manager because there is nobody on site. The first time he hung up on me while I was explaining the conditions. When I called back he offered to move us to another room but I didn't want to take the chance, plus my wife was grossed out. I asked for a refund and he refused because he offered us another room. I told him I would contact my cc company and go that route. We left and went to another hotel. It's sad because we've stayed there in the past and the previous owners were wonderful. It appears the new owners are not taking care of the property or their customers.

Extremely tranquil, and the lodging was very pleasant; they’ve provided just about everything one might want or need for a multi-day retreat. Very nice location, not too far from town should you need to go, and near some fun state parks well worth visiting. Highly recommend a stay here!

Prior to arrival staff reached out and advised of the lack of hot water. This was acceptable because we had a kitchenette to be able to heat water . Two night stay TV would not work. Could not get a receipt for our stay. We were moved from our originally booked cabin to a smaller cabin. Not able to reach on site management the entire stay after check-in. Would not recommend.

Check in was easy- keys were left in a mailbox for pick up. However, we wanted to report the smoking detector being missing (was found on top of the tv stand without a battery) but we were never able to find someone in the office.
We knew there wasnt any AC but we couldnt locate a fan either, it had been almost 90 during the day. Opening the window was a fun task, the window was so small it didnt even allow any air thru.
Was very loud, could hear everyones conversation (including a very thankful lady at 630 am talking about how she couldnt start her day without coffee lol).
I would totally recommend this place for a drive thru trip or one night stay though.

Hard to contact the manager. No towels in room or bedding for the Futon. No Smoke Detector in the cabin and there was no HOT WATER for a shower. The cabin had a small kitchen, but unable to use since we were unable to clean anything prior to usage. Only one coffee cup for 3 people. Old and rundown. Great for someone who wants that rustic adventure, but if not, then this is not the place for you.

The front desk staff (one woman running the whole show) was phenomenal and really took the sting out of a sub par property. Pics don’t match the state of the place now. We felt a little catfished lol
Grounds were over run with weeds, no bbq as advertised, cabin was run down.

But the lady with the keys was so very nice and helpful and apologetic and made sure we had coffee.

I have pictures and video - this place is filthy and not suited for human use. The terrible smell of old pet urine in the carpet alone was unbearable. The carpet does not look or smell like it’s ever been cleaned. I found old dog food and some old bugs on the floor. The ‘a/c’ makes a terrible racket that exceeds the OSHA standards for noise. I know because I measured it.

You should take this place off your list.

If you are considering this motel DO NOT DO IT! If you can afford to pay a little more DO go somewhere else. The pictures do not show the true level of DUMP that the RTM cabin and motel is. The “AC” is a hole in the wall and is a swamp cooler. The heaters are falling off the walls. The shower had mold and gross things hanging from the ceiling as did the bathroom fan and box fan we had to use to keep reasonably cool. The toilet seat was barely holding on by one rusty bolt. The weeds outside are 3 feet tall and the bugs are terrible. The door locks but has clearly been repaired several times and the windows had torn screens. The only “plus” was a big selection of tv channels. That kept us (2 adults 2 kids from WY) distracted enough to not think too much about what the mattresses under the sheets might look like. Thankfully the rug was dark brown so we couldn’t see what might be happening down there. Keep your shoes on!!
We appreciate the efforts of the housekeeping staff but that only goes so far in keeping a place from completely rotting away.

The facility was advertised as rustic, but it was more like a dump. The grounds were covered with tall weeds and junk everywhere. The furniture was filthy, room condition was kind of unsafe and unsanitary due to plumbing and electrical system problems. We had to switch rooms to find one that was borderline acceptable. Other guests reported the same conditions in their rooms. We all referred to it as the “no maintenance motel.” The price was similar to others in the area, but everything was full due to special events over the weekend, so we were unable to switch to other lodging. The staff support person was available, helpful and courteous! The owner was absent but “on-call,” they never made an appearance.

We had a funky, eclectic cabin (#11). While this kind of place isn’t for everyone, we loved it. The cabin was small but had everything we needed. The king bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking simple meals. Swim towels were provided which was nice for the springs.

Our only suggestion would be to please provide a blanket/linens for the futon.

Weeds are taking over the outside sitting porch and there is a lot of junk laying around. Staff was helpful and friendly. Reservations and check out was easy and correct. Maggie is very friendly and helpful, she made sure everthing was clean and neat. The property however, is a problem. The cabin we were in needs maintenance. Probably the worst was the missing facet handle in the bathroom, followed closely by the front door not latching unless you slammed or pulled very hard, and the bathroom door handle- I thought I was going to get stuck. The vinyl tiles in the bathroom and kitchen were missing corners. In the kitchen area the sink had a constant drip, and the air conditioner was held in place partially with a mattress pad/cover stuffed in the top. The mattress cover on one of the beds was torn, and there was a piece of 2” foam just laying on top of the mattress. In the bathroom there was a bored missing on the closet wall, holes in the back of the door, and nowhere to hang towels. There was a picture on the wall that the paper had slid down in the frame, and an antler with hooks over the bed were it wasn’t useful.
On the exterior the porch light didn’t have a bulb, and the picnic area had been over run with weeds. It does NOT match the pictures in the listing. If this were my property I would address these issues before the next guest set foot in the room. That being said, it served our purpose and the air conditioning worked marvelously! I would probably stay there again, but knowing what to expect would have been nice.

The property was very unkept. While the room was vacuumed and the beds made (dark red sheets—I assume they were clean), the room had very old furniture and no where place your items (there was a luggage rack but no flat surface such as a dresser or table. Tiny table for nightstand). The baseboard heaters were dirty and covered with rust. The bathroom fan/light was filled with bugs and dust. There was no AC in our room. Old appliances and misc. junk on the side of the building, next to the outdoor area where the bbq pit is located. The outside door had a cheap handle which definitely did not give a sense of security. Not sure where the free bag of ice was as there was no one in the office when we were leaving. With a 4.2 rating on Expedia, I really expected better.

The cabin was tiny, the fridge needed defrosting, there were wires hanging down in the closet, and we were greeted by two yellow jackets I had to kill. Terrible property. 0 stars.

If I could of found another room in Thermopolis I would have in a heartbeat. It was terrible from the get go. I tried to check in but no adult was anywhere around, only a 7yr old little girl who had no idea on how to check me in and asked me to come back later. We were at a volleyball tournament and had to get back to the games. They did call me and tell me they would leave the keys in the Dropbox. But let’s get back to the lobby- good lord- I’ve never seen anything like it- dirty linens all over and just junk/trash piled EVERYWHERE, even in the windows. It was terrifying. Property very trashy. The whole town was booked because of the Volleyball Tournament- there wasn’t another option. Now the room- it was pretty clean- the bed was very comfortable- but the shower is so small-ridiculously small. If I was just rating the room I would of gave it 2.5-3 stars. But this property needs WORK

I am a travel nurse, I stay at a lot of different hotels and motels. My standards are pretty low, give me a clean bed and a clean room and I’m good to go. I arrived and no one was in the office even though it was in the check in hours. No big deal, they left the key out. Got into the room and noticed it was hot, smelled like smoke and there was trash left from a previous tenant. Ate my dinner and got ready for bed and the room was even hotter then when I got there and the sheets were dirty(semen?) called the staff and they switched me to a different room. The new room had a clean bed but was still too warm and the Wi-Fi didn’t reach down to this end of the hotel. The room was atleast cleaner but still smelled like old smoke. Would not recommend at all, sleep in your vehicle and save whatever money you would spend on this place wants to charge you. Update, the hotel staff refused to talk to me about a partial refund.

The Round Top cabins are extremely rustic, so if that is what you are looking for, this is THE PLACE to stay! We loved it! We had a small cabin with a small kitchenette. Very cozy and close to the small downtown area and the hot springs. Hoping to stay again sometime soon!

This is a rustic/retro little Wyoming motel with cabins. If you’re used to staying at the Ritz Carlton, this is probably not your place. But if you want to stay in a cute little cabin like we did, have a little rustic experience, and realize that everything here is not perfect, you’ll have a lot of fun! We did a one night stay over on our travels through Wyoming, and it was perfect for that.

Just a two night stay in Thermop. Room was perfect for what we needed. The bathroom needed a little work on one wall. Everything clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful. Rustic.

Nice and clean

Cabin was rustic but clean. Beds comfortable. Had issues finding plugs for electricity in bathroom and kitchen area. No shampoo or conditioner provided (for the price per night it should have had at least that). I've also stayed in the 2 queen bed motel section. This is more affordable and just as nice/ clean, just didn't have a full size fridge.

Loved staying at these glamorous cabins. So many minute details were in the novel rustic luxurious design. Felt like stepping into a travel magazine property. Couldn’t ask for a more memorable first visit to Thermopolis!
