We had a wonderful stay at The Lapis Hotel. The room and facilities were immaculately clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had a very early 4:00 AM checkout, and they still prepared breakfast for us to take away, which was a really thoughtful touch. Everything about the experience felt professional and warm. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Hanoi!

Staff was slow to react to noisy guests and made me change my room the last day because I booked on my own. They switched me to a slightly smaller but almost identical room so it seemed like they could have kept me in either room the entire time rather than switching me.

The premier rooms are wonderful. City views. I was surprise that the rooftop infinity pool was so large with gorgeous Hanoi skyline views. The front desk staff is awesome. I spent 3 nights in regular room, so worth it for the price but no views. I was OK with it, then I like the hotel so much I decided to upgrade to premier room and pay the different for two additional nights. I like the neighbored as lots of high quality cafes and restaurants without the international tourists. I've been coming to Hanoi for business for over 15 years and will definitely stay here again. One thing. It is an easy 15-17 minute walk to Ho Kiem Lake. The streets to and from the lake from the hotel are broad and quiet before 7:30am. Lots of embassies and government offices so great security. Every morning, I would walk to and around the lake and back to hotel taking about 50-55 minutes. Wonderful way to start the day. Also, the beds are amazing. Great sleep. Thank you, thank you.

The staffs upgraded my rooms for free of charge , that was very nice . The location is good , near many restaurants or lot of street foods are available around the area .
We enjoyed the pool , jacuzzi worked ok but didn’t have warm water . We loved the steam room , overall we like the hotel . Just not walking distance from the central old quarter.

The hotel is a bit dated and old. The photos show more modern rooms but that's not what we got. The lights in the room are a headache and very difficult to figure out.
The TV was a nightmare to operate.
The pool was good.
Reception was very helpful.
Bed comfy. Bathrooms need a bit of love as mould building up on seals.
Location isn't great. You are quite far from everything. We wouldn't stay again.

Eggs cooked to order. Good coffee. Super helpful staff. 4 block walk to Hoam Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter.

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location in the French Quarter. I stayed in a Deluxe suite and my room was wonderful with a city view. It was a short walk to all the attractions but didn't sit in the hubbub that is the lake area so it's a nice reprieve from the chaos. The staff was always super helpful, cheerful and courteous. The rooftop pool is awesome with a skyline view. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Great hotel in a nice part of Hanoi. We stayed one night in the old quarter, went on a junk cruise then two nights here it was a bit more relaxing than the old quarter and still in walking distance from most things. Staff were friendly and super helpful, rooms were clean, comfy beds and a cool roof top pool (although a tad chilly). We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but overall would recommend the hotel.

Top of the line hotel in Hanoi - roof top pool and small gym. If you want a luxury 4 star experience this is a good choice - the roof top pool is nice - not big - and probably a maximum of 15 persons at any given time 1 gym holds 2 trad mills, sauna and spa-tub are available. We enjoyed the luxury and service - and were allowed to use the facilities many hours after the 12 am checkout

It is very hard to find any fault with this smart little hotel. The staff could not do enough to help you with any request, they made one room available early as we arrived in the morning. The breakfast was extensive both hot and cold food, eggs cooked to order and a wide range of fruit and pastries. We ate in the restaurant one night and food was very good and good value. No hesitation in recommending.

This is a wonderful little hotel in an what was for us an excellent location (slightly quieter than the bustling Old Quarter a 15 min walk away). The hotel combines modern facilities in a beautifully styled environment. The room (405) was nicely appointed with a very small en-suite bathroom. Lovely rooftop pool and jacuzzi that were very welcome after a hot day exploring the city. Small gym, sauna and steam rooms. Best of all the staff were so welcoming friendly and helpful E.g. happy to store our luggage for a day after check-out while we visited Halong Bay. We loved our stay.

The hotel, located in a quieter area of Hanoi just outside of the Old Quarter,has an elegant look and feel to it with nicely appointed rooms. It is conveniently located close to the Opera house and other must see areas of Hanoi. The roof top pool is a bit small but still nice for a dip after a hot day of walking around Hanoi. The sauna and steam room are nice. The breakfast buffet is very good with plenty of choices between local and western cuisine. Very friendly attentive staff.

I absolutely loved this boutique hotel, the service was impeccable from the first minute to the last. We had interconnected rooms that where perfect. The location is great, just outside of the main tourist zone of the old quarter, you can wonder the streets near the hotel and feel like a local while most things are within walking distance. The rooftop pool is a fantastic way to end the day at sunset. Excellent value for money, Very highly recommended.

It’s a business travel. I usually choose a clean a quite place and the Lapis hotel is fulfill my requirements. Breakfast is good and simple. A few restaurants near by the hotel. So it easy to find food. The hotel also serve good until 10pm or 12am(I forgot). It’s only take you 5 min take a taxi to Hoàn Kiếm Lake. Many bar and stree food near the Lake. The over all of hotel is clean and staff here also kind.

A Pleasant Surprise

A boutique hotel that is away from the hustle and bustle of main old quarters, but only a pleasant 10mins walk away. Why stay there then? There are many interesting restaurants and cafe that you will discover and they are not overcrowded like those in the old quarters. Directly opposite the hotel are two Vietnamese restaurants that are worth a visit. Our greatest discovery was a little cafe (Tranquil) just a few steps, right of the hotel. It serves great coffee and has an amazing creative space and vice within. Loved it. Hotel staff was eager to please and ready to help guests in every way. Enjoyed the rooftop pool and was most surprised by the steam room and cold pool next to the pool. Rooms were very clean and well eqipped. Do get the bigger rooms though, which we did. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Overall, had a great rest and trip!

This is a well placed hotel, not too far from the local attractions. The staff are so friendly and helpful and really enhanced our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Savi provided us with excellent before our stay and arranged our transport from the airport. We were greeted with a glass of fruit juice and our checkin was quick and efficient. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to book another stay here when in Hanoi.

The Lapis is a new, boutique hotel with large, well-designed rooms and great amenities. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, and ours had an incredibly spacious, spa-like bathroom with an awesome shower.

The top floor has a beautiful infinity pool that overlooks the city. It’s unheated and was quite cold when we visited, but a great view. There’s also a hot tub, sauna, steamroom, and small gym (had rack of dumbbells, two treadmills, one bike?).

Breakfast was good but definitely not be best we had in Hanoi. There were a decent number of options.

Service was good, and staff were very friendly.

The location is in the French Quarter, a couple blocks south of the Opera House. It’s far less chaotic than the Old Quarter (you can actually cross streets!) but there is still a lot of street noise heard in the rooms. It’s walkable to many places, including Old Quarter, though we sometimes took cabs.

For a 4.5 star hotel, the value was great!

My husband and I arrived Hanoi late at night and we got checked into the hotel fast by Miss Hoa the front desk. She was very attentive and greeting us with a big smile. Don't be fooled by the lights off at the lobby when you are checking in at late night. There are staff waiting for you. The pool was nice and the spa too at this moderate size hotel. The buffet was great and the staffs were amazingly friendly. The location was great too, walking distance to Hoan Kiem lake and many restaurants nearby too. Even across the street of the hotel, there is Ngon restaurant which I would go back again and again. We definitely recommend our friends to stay at this hotel.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The room was luxuriously appointee, the services was great, the location was great, and best of all were the staff. The staff was beautiful, amazing and so friendly and helpful.
