This property is adorable and very clean. The only reasons I rated it lower is because there was no air conditioning. The room was bery stuffy. When we opened the window, there was traffic down the road all night, making it impossible to get a good night's rest. Additionally, they had all kinds of littlsle products in the room with price tags. It was a put-off and made me feel like I was staying in a shop looking to make as much money as possible instead of being welcomed in the hotel.

A good stopping place ...
Our arrival, after a long drive through heavy rain, was luke-warm ..... but the receptionist was clearly busy so we made allowances. Our room was comfortable, with a balcony and a fairly non-descript bathroom. We ate dinner in the hotel, wonderful trout from the pool outside. The waitress was very jolly and we had a nice evening. Breakfast in the morning, again, was good with a wide array of choices. It was still raining when we left the next morning but never mind. Would we return? Probably, if we were passing.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. In the back of the hotel there is a beautiful garden. You can choose to walk (45 minutes) or drive (10 minutes) to the castle from the hotel. I enjoyed my time very much during the stay.

Our room was comfy for 3 and we had a view of the castle at the top of the mountain. They have a trout pisciculture and you cannot go without having one for dinner. There is good hike up to the castle and a lot of cycling. Breakfast was really good and included.

This is a nice hotel/restaurant tucked into the bottom of a mountain looking up to Lichtenstein Castle. It's a scenic, generally peaceful place and the restaurant food is really tasty. Staff is very friendly and personable!
There are some discrepancies between Expedia descriptions and the actual room we got. For one, the pictures didn't quite match up; perhaps there are newer and/or remodeled rooms that match the photos better. Also, our room claimed to have both a double bed and a sofa bed but the room we got simply had a double bed and not even a normal sofa, which was a disappointment.
We also experienced pretty consistent and loud noises from what must have been the restaurant kitchen/staff from about 7:30AM-11AM and 7:00PM-10/11PM pretty much every day of our stay. I'm guessing that only a handful of rooms are in this area of the hotel so maybe book the more expensive room options?
Overall a nice hotel with a great location and restaurant but try to avoid the older rooms above and next to the service area.

Great hotel! The room was spacious with a nice bathroom. The area super quiet. Did not get to try out the spa and sauna services. The onsite restaurant was fantastic and not over-priced. Staff was friendly. There's a trail just a hundred yards away that leads up to the castle if you're in the mood for a good hike. The breakfast was good as well. Wi-fi was a little spotty, but you're in a gorge, so that's to be expect d.

All employees were very nice and very accommodating for whatever we asked. We ate dinner in the accompanying restaurant, and it was fantastic. Our room had a great view of Castle Lichtenstein, which was an added plus.

Great hotel at the base of Burg Lichtenstein
The hotel was a in a great location for a visit to Lichtenstein castle. Little did I know that the hotel is directly at the base of the cliff and my room balcony had a wonderful view of the castle. The reception desk staff was very friendly. I ordered room service for dinner and it came promptly and was very good. The room was plenty in size, but I was traveling alone so I did not need very much room. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful; complete with a made-to-order egg chef! The spa looked very nice, but unfortunately due to my late arrival and fairly early morning departure, I missed the hours of operation so I was unable to enjoy the beautiful saunas and spa area. My only complaint is that the rooms are not soundproof. I heard other guests come into the hallway in the evening, slamming the hallway door, rolladens dropped on the windows of adjacent rooms, and even could hear the guest either next door or above me snoring. Needless to say, I didn not sleep well during my one night stay. I found ear plugs in the basket tucked away in the bathroom in the morning. Wish I would have known about them in the evening! Not a good option if you are a light sleeper. Just bring earplugs! But, the hotel was in excellent condition, staff were all very friendly and helpful, and it is a wonderful location for visiting Burg Lichtenstein!

We stopped by on our way to Switzerland to see the Lichtenstein Castle. The hotel is wonderful. We had a very spacious room with a balcony with a view of the castle. We did the hike up the mountain to see the castle, it took about 45 minutes and was a steep climb. When we got to the top we only had card and castle admittance is cash only. It was a lovely walk! We found that the only place to eat in Lichtenstein is the hotel which was fine. They farm their own trout here, which we both ate and cannot speak highly enough of it. I wish we were able to stay longer and I would recommend this to anyone. It is a little pricey but worth it.

Centrally located on our journey from Belgium to Switzerland. Wonderful little town. Hotel restaurant is excellent. Of course, have the trout. The property owners have a nearby trout farm. Delicious. Great view of Schloss Lichtenstein (the castle) which is a lovely stop for great views and a castle tour. Highly recommend. The hotel name \"Akzent\" is not visible from the road. Look for \"Forellenhof Roessle\". Very easy to find.

Very nice hotel in quiet, small town.
We needed a place to stay that was close to small communities that we wished to visit. This hotel fit that bill. It turned out to be a fairly upscale \"spa\" hotel with very friendly staff, clean and nicely sized and appointed rooms in a beautiful small town snuggled in a deep valley guarded by a castle on the mountain above the town. We could see the castle looking up from the windows of our room. In addition the hotel has its own trout hatchery and the restaurant is noted for its excellent trout specialties (reservations for meals are suggested). We ate supper there and I had one of the trout meals and it was excellent. Although we ate inside, there is a very nice terrace through which runs a small stream. There is free parking in a lot behind the hotel (and paid, if you wish, in a garage).

Schöne und saubere Zimmer, nettes Personal und eine ausgezeichnete Küche zeichnen dieses Hotel aus. Dir wunderschöne Lage am Ende des Tals unterhalb des Schlosses ist ideal für Wanderungen. Auch Geschäftsteisende finden hier den idealen Platz für eine erholsame und komfortable Nacht auf der Durchreise.

De vlotte check-in, de parkeervoorziening en het eten hebben ze echt goed voor mekaar. De hotelkamer heeft geen airco en veel kamers liggen aan de drukke doorgaande weg waardoor het niet mogelijk is om ‘s-nachts te ventileren. Hierdoor kan het bij een hogere buitentemperatuur erg warm op de kamer zijn. De oudere medewerkers zijn erg afstandelijk en in zijn geheel niet vriendelijk.

Waar voor je geld en een super restaurrant
Snelle en professionele check-in. Zeer grote en mooie kamer en badkamer maar wel aan de overzijde van de straat tegenover het hoofdgebouw. Dit is wel een nadeel als het regent doch het comfort van de kamer doet dit bezwaar teniet. Het restaurant serveert de lekkerste visgerechten. Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid met producten van de beste kwaliteit. Men krijgt waar naar geld. De parking is zeer ruim. Vermijdt wel te parkeren onder een lindeboom want dan valt er vieze troep op de auto. Er zijn echter voldoende andere parkeerplaatsen.

Nettes Hotel, in dem man mal eine Nacht verbringen kann. Frühstück war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Zimmer okay, aber nicht mehr. Im Sauna Bereich wurde versucht eine Höhlen Landschaft zu konstruieren. Schwimmbecken gibt es keins. Whirpool muss extra bezahlt werden.
Leider hat das Essen im Restaurant nicht überzeugt, dafür sind die Preise gesalzen hoch.

Zusammenfassend ist es innen gemütlich, draußen Märchenhaft, unvergesslich leckeres Essen, sowie menschenfreundliche, zuvorkommender Service. Rezeption war sehr unfreundlich, nicht alle benötigten Info's gegeben. Z.B. dass das Abendmenu vorbestellt werden muss. Mussten so \"teure\" \"a la carte\" nehmen. Beim Hinweis darauf wurde vom Kellner keine Lösung angeboten und die Rezeptionistin sagte, das müsse man wissen.
Hundezimmer gibt es nur 2 im ganzen Hotel, diese sind über dem Technikraum und sehr lärmbelastet von den Maschinen (Dauerbrumm), darauf müsste man Gäste bei der Buchung hinweisen.

Schönes Hotel mit toller Außenanlage. Leider war der Service beim Abendessen sehr unfreundlich. Lt. Aushang gibt es bis 21:15 Abendessen, als ich um 20:55 um einen Tisch gefragt habe wurde ich erstmal am Eingang Restaurant stehen gelassen um zu klären, ob es noch etwas aus der Küche gibt. Daraufhin wurde mir ein Tisch zugewiesen, der Service erfolgte jedoch wortlos. Getränk und Essen wurden ohne netten Kommentar etc. serviert. Habe schon lange kein Trinkgeld mehr gegeben, aber hier habe ich es für angebracht gehalten.

Das Zimmer entspricht leider nicht dem Zimmer, was ich gebucht habe. An der Rezeption wurde gesagt, dass das Bild von einer anderen Perspektive aufgenommen wurde, aber es soll das Gleiche sein. Aber auf dem Bild sieht man ein Sofa, was in unserem Zimmer nicht existiert, insofern falsches Zimmer.
Eine gratis Wasser Flasche für ein 4-Sterne Hotel bei einer Übernachtung weit über 100 Euro gibt es auch nicht.
