Great location into the city center. Room was comfortable aside from an issue with ants which the hotel assisted with quickly. Our room was on the main level and the road is quite loud due to cars going by all hours of the night, so bring ear plugs. The rooftop breakfast was lovely and had fantastic views.

The bed was comfortable, which is what is most important to me, and the bathroom was nice, I was in room 1 unfortunately so was woken up at 6am by noise in the lobby. It was a very cute hotel.

Our stay at the property served its purpose for the few days that we were there. Our room was not big but it was cozy. The staff was friendly and answered our inquiries. They organized our transport from the airport which went very smoothly. They made accommodations for my girlfriend’s birthday which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast (which was included in our stay) was great (we had to walk down the street to a sister establishment to eat though). There were menu & buffet options. Having a nice breakfast allowed a great start to our days. Some of the negatives were the noise.You could hear so much going on outside but it calmed down a lot during quiet hours. They were doing construction right next to our room during the day which was highly disturbing. Also the air conditioning did not work! Very disappointed with that bc that was one of the reasons I picked the hotel. Also found the room service was a bit lackluster. Our towels weren’t taken out of the room & we had to request new ones. I genuinely want to give a higher rating but there were alot of nuisances that we tolerated. I hope that we are the exception and not the rule. There are things to like about this establishment I just hope they address the smaller issues that can compound for guests.

This Area is lovely and the climate is really perfect. My room at Casa Encantada was not available because there was some damage after a recent earthquake and I was rebooked at the hotel next door: Casa Pensitiva. It was amazing. This honestly was the best hotel I think I've ever stayed at, and I've traveled quite a bit! Centrally located before enough away that you can sleep quietly at night, beautiful and local features and decor, anything you could need if you forgot something at home, beautiful volcano views right outside the door, and sister hotel with an incredible pool. Oh, and of course, very affordable. Grateful for my stay!

Relaxing Paradise in Heart of Antigua

This beautiful hotel is decorated in stunning Guatemalan design. The plants, pool, fountain, and rooftop terrace added quiet tranquility to this small hotel. The service was attentive and thoughtful. Breakfast at its sister hotel - Pensativo - was fabulous. Fresh food, excellent service, and gorgeous setting. I hope to come back one day. Book this hotel and you won’t regret it!

Casa Encantada was exactly what I was looking for: a unique boutique hotel; cute, clean, safe, and walking distance from main Antigua shopping and activities. Staff were super helpful and courteous; and I was extremely pleasantly surprised to be offered the suite when I checked in. Only suggestion I have is to please deep clean the bath tub. Nonetheless, I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you!!

This property is nice enough. Though the room was very small, we’re always out anyways. And thankfully they provided a fan, it gets a little warm the room doesn’t have AC. The property is very cute, staff are very helpful. Breakfast was good. I like that you could use the sister Hotel’s pool & gym although we didn’t have time to do it. The place is very quiet and very relaxing. I highly recommend this. Good value for money!

I was in town for a wedding and had a lovely stay. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, and staff was very friendly (though did not speak any English, which is fine, just make sure you have way to translate if you don't speak Spanish). The pool is very cold which is nice refreshing for hot days, but too cold at night. The two neighboring sister hotels were much nicer accommodations so it was nice to be able to quickly walk there to use their pool and for free breakfast. The only real negative about this hotel (besides that it has no AC, but most places don't), was that it is VERY VERY loud in the rooms in the morning and during the day, as the windows to the rooms are right on the street and heavy traffic starts as early as 5:30/6am that woke me up every morning. It is slightly better if you close the windows, but if it's hot, you want them open for air circulation. Also, if you want cold bottled water, they charge $5/bottle. Otherwise, this was a perfectly fine small hotel to stay at, though there are much nicer places to stay near by for the same rate, if not cheaper.

The only thing i did not like was there was no A/C in the room i stood in nor was there a screen to keep out bugs if i opened the window for fresh air at night. But with that being said the people on the property where very helpful, kind and the food was great and prices were good. its a very personal type of place to stay no big crowds and central to many things to do i would highly recommend staying as well as staying here again if i ever go back to Antigua.

The second day I notified the front desk I had a shuttle pick up at 1:45 on my last day and requested a late check out and assumed it was ok since the front desk listened and did not respond “no”. On the day of my departure I received a call in my room at 11:10 informing check out was at 11:00. I said I had requested a late check out. Hotel response “no”. I had to scramble my belongings together in minutes to get out of the room. When I asked to leave my bag at the front desk until 1:45 … that entailed an arduous call to the manager to get approval to leave my luggage. I felt very unwelcome and as I often travel to antigua I will never book a room again at this hotel

What a property! Everything about this stay was amazing. From the rooms, to the service, to the breakfast, I was blown away. The security was top notch and in a great location that was walkable to the city centre.

We stayed at two properties while on our trip in Antigua (we were there for a wedding so stayed at the venue hotel [Santa Domingo] for a couple of nights) but were SO GLAD to be back at Casa Encantada. SD was apparently \"the best hotel in Antigua\" but it is clearly a money grab and a lie. STAY WITH CASA ENCANTADA, they treat you with such respect and once again the hotel is amazing. By far the better hotel in Antigua, 5 stars across the board.
