The location is just right next to the Oberlin College, it’s very convenient for us as we came here to visit the college. Overall experience is excellent. We stayed here for our son’s wedding that was held on the property. Honestly the only bad thing we could say was our bed was lumpy and not that comfortable. We have a sleep number bed at home so it is hard to find a bed at a hotel that we like. The water pressure in the shower was terrible and took forever to heat up. All in all we would stay there again

The stay was dang near perfect. I think it is a huge miss for the hotel bar attached to 1833 not to stay open until 11pm or at least 10:30pm when there is anything on at the theater next door, it would make for a refined more perfect experience after a production.

Great hotel. The window in the room actually opened which is a huge plus for me as I much prefer fresh air to recirculated, air-conditioned air. Far too few hotels allow windows to open so I slept much better and was far more comfortable. I called to the desk when I opened the window to ask how to shut off the a/c and was told that the HVAC would automatically adapt. So smart! The room is otherwise clean and comfortable and I wish I was staying longer.

Very nice hotel. everything is new , modern and clean. Plus its a very short walk to downtown and campus. The best part was that because it is heated and cooled with geothermal heat, i did not need to listen to a noisy air conditioning unit turn on and off all night. The price was a little more than other hotels but it was well worth the extra cost.

Nice options with the restaurant located in the hotel and The Feve right around the corner. Not tons of dining choices but the ones they have are very good. There was live music in the beautiful town square when we arrived. The college campus is gorgeous. Great place to stay and it’s very cool how they make everything energy efficient and use local sources for things like the soaps and shampoos in the rooms.
