This is a hotel to use only for a short-term stay. The breakfast was inadequate. Because of the pool, the hallways had a consistent mold odor. The rate reflects the overall experience.

Rooms were clean. The staff was responsive to requests. Breakfast was fairly typical of a Continental Breakfast - waffles, cereal, yogurt, English muffins, bagels, etc. Pool was slightly chilly, but the hot tub was finally working after being out of service for several years. Appears to be under new management, but no significant changes from previous years. We have stayed here a number of times before and will do so again.

The property managers were very nice and helpful. The property needs some cleaning anf upgrades. I had to get ny jacuzzi room switched because the couch bed and carpet was filthy. The room they switched me to was a double bed and it was great. The breakfast was good. Overall I had a decent experience but the couches and pull out beds need to be cleaned better.

had a terrible experience, the online pictures do not match the conditions of the hotel, the place if fitly dirty, there is a terrible smell as you walk in the hallways and in the rooms it appeared to my as if the ventilation system had a lot to do with it because the smell got worst as the AC was running, the lobby is very small and the breakfast area is almost not existing, if you are planning on using the pool you need to pay a fee, when have you ever hear such a thing!!!! I requested a full return from Expedia as I could NOT have my family stay in such a place.

I feel terrible writing this, but please don’t be deceived by the pictures, and even upon entering the lobby in person. I have never left a hotel without staying before, but we were so skeeved out that we just could not fathom staying. The room smelled awful, like stale cigarettes and I’m not even sure what else. There was no soap in the bathroom. The sheets did seem clean and we checked for bugs, but overall, it was cold and damp and the smell was too much. The front desk person was kind and said he might have been able to get us another room, but the conditions plus reading other reviews (which I should have done in advance) just made my gut say, LEAVE.

Our first room had a terrible odor that was unbearable for me. It smelled to me like cat pee, and the front desk said they didn't allow cats, but that is what it smelled like. It was overwhelming. I asked for a room change, and they finally accommodated us on our second day at check-in time (3 pm). (They stated that the odor was from someone smoking in an adjacent room. Definitely not a smoke odor.) They told me a room number for the second room, but the key card didn't work. Looked at the key sleeve, and it was the same room but on the second floor. I went to that room, and the key worked for that room. Moved all of our stuff to the new room on the second floor(no elevator), and no sooner got settled than there was a knock at the door. The front desk guy gave us the wrong room. We had to move all of our stuff back down to the original room that he told me about first. The next day, our key cards didn't work, and we had to get them reactivated. The property was not well-maintained, and the exterior of the property was littered and not maintained. There were people parked in the lot the entire night who hung out in their car at night and then used the outside outlets to charge their electronic devices in the morning. They were possibly living out of their car, which was parked in the hotel lot. Sad about our experience here. We wanted to leave, but were told they couldn't refund our money because we used Expedia to book the room.

The hotel was clean and had a good breakfast. It needs some up grading on carpet and AC units. Out AC unit did not work. They had 1 person working for most of the two days we were there and he was always running around trying to keep up with everything.

This hotel was absolutely amazing! Great staff! Amazing for little kids especially with the indoor pool! Complementary breakfast was amazing to have (saved us $ on buying overpriced food at the beach lol) the manager of the hotel was so kind and helpful when I asked for advice on stuff to do around the area he recommended an experience of a lifetime! Couldn’t be happier with my stay! We will definitely be back in the future if we take another trip to Rehoboth!

Russell was absolutely amazing, anything I needed or any problem I had he helped me right away and made sure all of my needs were met. But the hotel wasn’t the cleanest, it definitely needs more updating and staff! For not only guest enjoyment but for the staff to get some proper help! The key would stop working often (the staff gladly solved the problem each time and apologized) but it definitely needs to be fixed. Next they had a really nice pool as far as size. It ranged from 3-5 feet and the hot tub was decent. But it does need to be updated like the rest of the hotel. If ur not super picky it’s a nice place to go.

Also the “Breakfast” is muffins, danish, make ur own waffles (big one and 4 medium sized ones which was decent), coffee and tea was 24h

1st off the rooms were very nice seems like they were just recently redone. The breakfast was ok same thing every day. The pool needs drained and re-painted same with hot tub
And it was a little dark in pool room. The ad says there's a pool table, there's no pool table. The young guy at the front desk was VERY nice and helpful. The door cards were very poor we had our cards reset about 10-12 times in 3 the days. The other workers were nice but not much English. Parking was good the carpet going up stairs either needs replaced or a very hard cleaning very cruddy. Place is run down, carpets are stained and brown, very first thing you notice when you walk in. Dude at front desk wanted a $100 damage deposit fee we refused to give due to condition of hotel already. Then we got handed a card to a room that had a knob on it and needed an actual key; not a card. Upon entering, you smell a very unfamiliar smell and smell stays throughout entire time. Room was fastly cleaned with hairs laying upon beds, corners of rooms and platform of bed could use a good cleaning. Asked for clean towels day of check out and was told there was none. Overall rundown, not a good experience.

Our overall stay was fair… And the price was right considering it was Memorial Day weekend! Great location too right off the main drag.When we checked into our room, we were surprised that it had not yet been cleaned. The desk clerk was also surprised and pretty quickly got us in another similar room. Decor was nice, however, it did lack in cleanliness with the floor being crusty and hair, etc. on the furniture. However, the bedsheets and mattresses were clean. We were looking forward to using the hot tub however, there was nothing hot about it. Although they said it would take a while to heat up,even after two days, the water was actually cooler than the pool. We did have to ask for bedding for the pullout bed and felt like we were overburdening the staff, but the nighttime staff was especially helpful and accolades go out to Russell who really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as pleasant as could be!

Hotel Wave unfortunately did not match the online rating or photos. While I understand this is intended to be a budget-friendly hotel, the overall condition and cleanliness were far below expectations. Upon arrival, the carpets throughout the property appeared heavily stained, worn, and unclean, which immediately made the hotel feel poorly maintained.

At check-in, I was informed there was no elevator, which became difficult since I was traveling with multiple people and a large amount of luggage while being assigned to the second floor. Once entering the room, I noticed one of the beds was completely unmade, making it appear as though the room had either not been cleaned properly or had been used after housekeeping. That alone made the stay feel uncomfortable and unprofessional.

During the evening, there was also disruptive behavior in the hallways, including younger guests knocking on doors and running away, which did not create a family-friendly environment.

Overall, the hotel feels extremely outdated and not reflective of the photos or current rating online. I try to be fair with reviews, but in my honest opinion this property is much closer to a 4/10 experience than a 7.8. I would strongly encourage management to invest in cleanliness, maintenance, and updated accommodations.

Super clean room - mattresses were very clean and seemed pretty new. No carpet in the rooms is also a plus. The only thing I noticed was that the carpet in the hallways could use a rug doctoring. The walls are a little thin - could hear some dog barks now and again but nothing unreasonable. Spacious parking lot, near a supermarket, and a reasonable drive to the boardwalk. Breakfast areas were clean and well stocked, and the staff was helpful. The pool was nice since the weather wasn’t good, but the hot tub wasn’t useable during our brief stay. Would stay here again.

Cute smaller hotel. Could use some updating like carpeting in main areas and worn looking pool and hot tub, and in room tubs and toilets. But overall for price and how amazing the staff is, my family and I will definitely be back. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy, and I loved the pillows. Our room had a jacuzzi tub, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker, plus you can ask the front desk for an electric hotplate so you can cook meals in room. Every staff member we spoke with was so friendly and accommodating even giving us a late 1pm check out which we greatly appreciated. Nice continental breakfast with waffles, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs and an assortment of breads and cereal. Minutes drive to anything you could need, including the beach, outlets, entertainment, dining and the cute Grove park that has a Tuesday farmers market.

The room was great!! The first staff member I dealt with was polite and very helpful the second one I dealt with was not great, the second day our room didn’t get cleaned up, trash emptied, bed made, new towels etc, the rugs did smell like animals but it is a pet friendly hotel which we love, the room did not smell and was very clean and nice which we were happy about. There was a bit of shady biz going on in the parking lot but not much you can do about that just a heads up if you have little ones there keep them close while outside. Honestly for the price we will probs be back, the room really was very nice!!

Nice play to stay for a weekend away. The lobby area was nicely decorated. Rooms were good but especially the lamenate flooring since we had our dog with us. It is great that it is pet friendly! The only issue with the stay was that the hot tub was out of service. However, the front desk attendant, Eli, was very kind and wonderful during our stay. Would stay again!

In a ground floor room the shade was jammed. Staff pulled it down after a lot of fighting with it, but I couldn’t open it again. The phone also had no sound with the desk, so twice I had to walk to the desk to talk to the staff. Staff was helpful and friendly, but property wasn’t great.

The bed was very comfortable and was the best part of our stay. We felt safe and secure and had no issues while we were there. Breakfast was pretty standard. The only thing that was a hang up for me was that the carpets in the hallways are in major need of a cleaning. Otherwise, it was a decent option for the price that we spent.

Our room had to be moved because of a barking dog. Not the hotels fault, but an inconvenience to us. Otherwise our stay was good. They are going thru a management change, so we get there are bumps in the road. We are considering another stay later this year. Hopefully things will improve. The breakfast can use some improvement. Maybe add an extra protein like cooked eggs or bacon or sausage on the side. Like I said, things can move forward. Otherwise not a bad stay at all. We can recommend some staying here.

Parking lot had signs that the hotel is not responsible for anything stolen. Not a good sign when pulling up. We get to our room and the fridge is full! Completely full and I had to clean it out because the staff did not have time. The window did not have a window cover and we were on the first floor. It felt like I was sitting in the parking lot all night and everyone could see in like I was an animal at the zoo. Very unsafe, uncomfortable feeling as a woman and I did not get any sleep. The next day I asked to move rooms and was told we couldn't because everything was booked out. They then offered a $25 credit for my second stay, but I refused and asked for a refund for the night so I could leave and find a better hotel to stay at.

I’ve been staying at this hotel for years, and I think it’s a great deal. That said, things seem to have slipped a bit since their long-term manager left. Lots of items missing at breakfast. Deadbolt to my room was broken. Some confusion/lines at the front desk.

I like that it is unpretentious, clean, and very reasonably priced. The indoor pool and hot tub are fabulous. Hoping that the minor issues are solved once they transition with the new manager.

Easy and convenient parking. Good location for our needs at the time. Unfortunately the sink in our room was so slow draining. My husband shaved the first night there and the next morning the water was still in the sink. We brushed our teeth at the bathtub the next morning. It did have a complimentary breakfast. Nothing special. Complimentary coffee all day but no regular creamer the second morning.
All in all it was sufficient for the price.
