The staff was absolutely the best hotel staff I’ve ever met. Truly over the top great, thoughtful and kind.
The facilities were clean and well above what I expected for a small town in Korea.
Foreigner-friendly and a comfortable place to not only sleep and get clean, but also hangout.

Not as great as I remembered

Not as great as I remembered but did the job of giving us somewhere warm and dry to stay. We weren't in the main building, which was a little strange, to me. Check in/out was smooth and easy.
It was quite magical to wake up and see that it had snowed heavily overnight

When you arrive from Seoul with the express bus, the hostel is located opposite the bus terminal. Right outside the hostel, you'll the take the bus 7 or 7-1 to Seoraksan, around 25 min. Friendly and helpful staff that spoke English. The negative was the hostel room was very small. Good for one person, but too small for two. The beds are quite hard, but it's the same all over Korea. There was good wi-fi in the room. Bathroom with towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower cream. Good AC. A small patio outside the hostel.

The member of staff on the front desk spoke good English. The room was not large, but there was enough storage space for bags. The bathroom was compact and it had an all in one basin and shower unit. The rainfall shower was pretty powerful but the floor remained wet for a while. There were mugs and a hot water machine, but no coffee or tea was provided. It is a shame that there was no breakfast. It is quite expensive for what is offered. The location was really good for local buses to major attractions. The Express Bus Station is opposite, but this is only useful for buses to and from Seoul. Buses to and from other cities may make an inbound stop there but all other outbound intercity buses go from the Intercity Bus Station about 20 minutes away by bus. The hotel has a a variety of restaurants nearby, and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. The only real issue we had with the whole stay were the beds: the most uncomfortable we've ever experienced. Not firm, just hard. With better beds, this would be a more than decent stay and would justify the price.

Good stay convienent to bus intercharge

Right opposite the express bus terminal. Easy way to take bus to Seoul. Local bus stop to the national park 1-2 min from hotel door. New and comfortable. If got large baggage best to request for ground floor as no lift available. Need to walk up the stairs. Free Coffee available at basement common shared area. Nice lounge, cooking facilities with utensils available. The fried chicken opposite Pelicana very juicy and tender. BBQ next to hotel, the beef and belly pork nice also. Big emart just 5mins walk away.

I've stayed in a double bedded room - The location was ideal as it was within walking distance to the nearest bus stop (~2min) to get onto the bus to Mt Seoraksan. Additionally, the Sokcho bus terminal is also within walking distance. There are restaurants and convenience stores located nearby as well. The room provided was exactly as what the pictures looked online and it was clean. The staff were also friendly and patient in providing directions to various sights. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to eat or drink (except plain water) in the room and although there is a separation between the shower space and the toilet, there is a gap below the glass panel thus water is able to seep through during shower. Luckily the hotel provided sufficient towels and I was able place some on the floor. Nonetheless, the stay was pleasant.

Stayed in the shared area. The actual room was nice, but the door for entering had a loud beeping noise, and girls were slamming the door shut all throughout the night. Even if you tried to be quiet, you’d still hear the beeping, but people were not even making an attempt to be quiet. Be warned that there is only one single bathroom for all eight women to use. It is not a shared dormitory one like normal hostels. It is literally just a small bathroom that would be in a house, no separate stall for the toilet or shower. Only one person can use it at a time, so there may be a long waiting time. There was a public bathroom in the main hostel area but you would have to walk outside the building because the buildings are separate. The walls were really thin so even though the girls were sleeping in our room we could hear families with children running around in the rooms next-door. Booking this hotel on Orbitz, it said that it came with breakfast. When we got to the hotel they said breakfast was not included in the room but was served for free. Nothing in life is free. Obviously they’re using their earnings to provide breakfast at a cost that is included in the room price. I don’t really care about this, but they only had plain white toast and cereal, no eggs or source of protein at all. It’s not a huge deal since the price was cheap, but it would’ve been nice to know in advance so we could bring our own. Staff seemed unfriendly at checkin as if we bothered them for existing.

Strategic Location - opposite bus station

The guesthouse is strategically located just opposite the main bus station. Surrounding the guesthouse are eateries such as lotteria, convenience stores and other local restaurants. If you walk about 10-20 mins around the corner, you'll reach the huge emart hypermarket where you can get local snacks, drinks and others. The guest house is clean, quiet (even facing the main road) and has simple breakfast and laundry facilities. The gaming room downstairs was a nice place for us to unwind or have a meal together in the lounge area. The receptionist (didn't get his name but was a brazillian guy) was very helpful and friendly!

Clean, homey place close to express bus terminal

My only complaint is the hardness of the bed; in all other ways my stay was perfect! The staff are incredibly nice and helpful; the room was clean and modern; and guests' comfort and needs were always foremost. Although one is not allowed to eat in one's room, the basement lounge and 4th-floor breakfast room/lounge are always available for guests' use (and both are quite attractive!).

The hotel is conveniently right across the street from the express bus terminal, and one can catch a bus to Seoraksan at a bus stop just down the street. (I would recommend that guests check out the cupolas that top the hotel next door, which I used as a landmark to make sure I got off at the right place when returning from Seoraksan.) There are several marts to purchase food nearby, including the large emart just 5-10 minutes away on foot, and restaurants are ubiquitous. One can also walk to an attractive park next to Cheongchoho Lake with great views of the city of Sokcho relatively easily. I definitely recommend this guesthouse!

In some ways this felt a bit like a hostel, since it is possible to meet other guests while eating breakfast on the 4th floor. To my mind that's a plus, and I enjoyed meeting people from Malaysia and Singapore as well as Korea.

Small hotel with lots of facilities

We first though this was just a normal small hotel that is for us to just stay for the night and move on. We only came to realize that this hotel has a gaming area/ movie lounge in the basement and an attic with library. Most activities in Sokcho is done in the day but at night can get a little boring but these facilities keep you occupied. Only trouble is that the hotel does not have a lift so if you are staying on higher floor, you may have problems moving ur luggage.

Great hotel for exploring Seoroksan

We came specifically to go to seoroksan- the hotel is at an excellent spot as it is only about 25 meter from the Seoroksan bus stop, across the street from the express bus terminal back to Seoul, and 300 meters from the Sokcho beach.

The facilities are not fancy but are very comfortable, clean with traditional Korean platform beds, and excellent showers for post-hiking muscles. The house allows for mingling with other guests due to the communal Kitchen where breakfast is served and which can be used to consume take away or delivered food.
Staff are unintrusive but efficient and watchful. Paul, the manager is very welcoming and helpful and speaks English.

Small family run guesthouse

The rooms here are really tiny and very basic but we still enjoyed out stay because of the hosts. They are really warm and very helpful. They will go out of their way to accomodate your needs. The location is also good. It's near Sokcho beach and about 30min drive to Seoraksan National Park. There are restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, bus stops and taxi stands within walking distance.

Clean new accomodation with better than hotel design facilities. Young international staff ready and eager to assist. Compound layout includes 3 buildings with ample car parking and open space to rest and picnic. Not a 5 star hotel, but would recommend over any. 4th floor kitchen dining room allows for sunrise appreciation overlooking other adjacent buildings. No nonsense facility ensures lodging money well spent. Best facilities encountered in any country so far. Bed mattress firm and clean. Shower with strong water flow at any temperature desired. (Best hot water shower ever!)

Recently renovated hotel by Sokcho beach

Pleasantly located right across the street from the Express Bus Terminal, WithU was a great stay. The hotel is small, recently renovated, with a great free breakfast of toast, make your own fried eggs, fruit, coffee and juice. The staff was incredibly helpful and very kind. The rooms were small, but enough for what we needed. We climbed Mt. Seoraksan that weekend, and the 7-1 bus to take there was right down the street. There is an eMart down the block to get groceries and a 24hr Jimjilbang across the street from the eMart. Lots of quaint restaurants nearby, and the hotel staff was really helpful in finding our way around town. Reasonably priced - I would stay again.

Unterkunft war gut gelegen gegenüber vom Express Bus Terminal. Zudem fuhr der Bus ein paar Meter weiter los zum Nationalpark. Die „Sehenwürdigkeiten“ von Sokcho waren zu Fuß erreichbar. Auf Grund der mangelnden Sauberkeit der Unterkunft würde ich sie aber nicht weiterempfehlen.

I just gave up to stay there because it is totally dirty and too much small. Do not believe anything in the photos. It is lower than cheapest motel even in USA. I stayed there around 20 minutes to book another hotel. I think that this accommodation seems a scam

숙소가 깨끗한 편이에요! 특히 화장실 청결을 제일 중요하게 생각하는 1인인데 화장실도 신식의 깨끗한 편이였어요 가격 생각할때 굿입니다!^^뜨거운 물도 아주 잘 나와서 여독을 따뜻한 물에 풀 수 있어서 좋았어용~
다만 너무 추운날 갔고 제일 끝방이여가지구 보일러를 틀어주시긴하셨는데 추워서 자다가 몇번 깼네요ㅠ(바닥은 뜨끈한데 공기가 차니까..ㅠ) 사장님께서 히터가 별도로 있다고 하시더라구요~

Busterminal in laufweite (keine 5 Minuten).
Auch wenn nicht jeder des Personals Englisch kann, so waren alle immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Bus zum Nationalpark direkt vor der Tür und auch Sokcho Eye und Strand nur 5 Minuten entfernt.

매트리스가 딱딱해서 허리가 아팠으며, 주차공간이 협소, 엘리베이터 없음입니다.

3명이 머물기엔 방이 매우 작아서 불편하고 화장실도 너무 작았어요. 그러나 청결상태는 좋았습니다. 게스트 하스가 보통 갖추고 있는 기물이 비치되지 않아서 불편했습니다. 코로나 19 상황이라 기존의 공동시설을 사용 못한다면 다른 방법이라도 취해서 머무르는 동안 불편이 없게 해주시면 좋겠습니다.

게스트하우스지만 패밀리룸이 있어서 청결하고 깨끗하게 잘 이용했습니다. 설명에 포함된 조식이 코로나로 중단되었다는것을 미리 공지안해주셔서 좀 당황하긴 했지만 위치도, 방도, 주차도 뭐하나 빠질것없이 만족스러웠습니다.

혹시 패밀리룸에 윗층을 어르신이 쓰시게 될 경우엔 계단이 좀 높아요. 고것만 참고하시면 다른것들은 너무나 훌륭합니다.
덕분에 즐거운 여행이었지요!

적당히 괜찮은 숙소

근처에 속초 버스 터미널 가깝고, 바다도 근처에 있습니다. 아무리 가깝다해도 차로 이동해야 하는 위치입니다. 공용공간은 이용하지 못했고, 방도 좁습니다. 딱 잠만 자야하는 상황입니다. 게다가 건물 내에 엘리베이터도 없는 상황이라 케리어가 크다면 계단으로 올라가야 하는 상황입니다. 다른 분들이 남긴 후기처럼 수압하나는 좋습니다.

속초에서 간단하게 머물기 좋은 숙소입니다. 다만 주차공간이 조금 협소해서 , 주차하는데 노력이 필요합니다, 전체적으로 투숙객을 위한 편의시설이 부족해서 아쉬워요 방은 청결한 편이지만, 모기들이 여러마리, 떨어져 있는 부분과 벽에 걸려있는 시계가 안가는 부분등, 작은 디테일이 조금 부족해서 많이 아쉽습니다. 지어진지 얼마 안되서 전체적으로 사진에서 보여지는 부분과 같이 깨끗한 부분은 마음에 듭니다, 화장실 공간도 넓어서 좋습니다.

주차장 폭이 좁아서 운전시 유의가 필요하고
너비가 큰 차는 주차가 힘들 수 있음
사진은 꽤나 넓어보이지만 생각보다 넓지는 않고
잠만 자기에 딱 좋은 정도
복층이지만 2층에는 창문이 없어서 덥고
계단이 가파러서 아이들에게는 위험할 수 있음
직원분들은 매우 친절하심

전체적으로 괜찮습니다
다만 방 자체는 작습니다 잠만 자는 분위기입니다
그외의것은 지하나 4층의 공용공간을 이용하셔야 합니다.
그리고 주차장이 좀 협소합니다
주차하기가 매우 안좋아요
전체적으로 깨끗하고 친절하지만 주차장에 불만이 좀 있네요.
공용이용시설은 잘 되어있는 편입니다

괜찮음

코로나때문인지 식당 이용을 못하게 되어 있었어요.
아침에 시리얼이랑 토스트 먹을 수 있게 되어있어서 선택한건데 아무것도 못먹어서 그게 너무 아쉽네요.
방도 깔끔하고 괜찮았는데 밤에 복도에서 시끄럽게 떠들고 뛰어다니는 사람들 때문에 피곤했어요.
