Nice ownership. Room was dark with minimal lighting and 1-2 light outlets. Large TV only good for playing games. Shared bathroom was fine. Continental breakfast minimal. Coffee available any time was a plus.

Absolutely lovely. Yes, an Uber from train station in Morristown may be necessary, but so worth it. Beautiful countryside to see. Even with the transport costs, half the price of accommodation as nice in the city.

From the moment of arrival stepping onto this gorgeous porch, to the moment of departure after a phenomenal weekend stay, my time at The Neighbour House was so relaxing with genuine warmth and kindness from the owners, delicious and varied choices for breakfast/coffee/teas and home-baked muffins, spacious old world beautiful lounging rooms, tv, wifi, Netflix etc...but the peace and tranquility were second to non. I slept my best sleep in a very long time!!! I'll be back for sure!!!

Seated in the middle of Jersey horse country, it was a stunning spot for fall foliage, an added bonus for a trip for family reasons. The ONLY thing I would have wished for was cooked breakfast, but there were truly plenty of options other than that, including eggs--just hard boiled. Fresh fruit, good coffee, yogurt, cereal, bread for toast, and packaged pastries offered a plentiful meal!

The 2 nights we spent at The Neighbor House were great. It’s a very well maintained home and the hosts were very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed being so close to the Colombia Trail so we could easily ride our bikes to several of the surrounding towns. Overall The Neighbor House is charming, the hosts were so nice and we started each day off with a delicious breakfast spread. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway where you can explore cute downtown areas or enjoy hiking or biking then you should definitely check this place out. Thank you Iris and Rafe!

This is a beautiful place to stay, and The owners are delightful, but the breakfast is disappointing. There are store bought pastries and breads wrapped in cellophane and bananas and apples for fruit. Fresh cut up fruit, yogurt, and granola would be easier and healthier would require no more preparation.

There is a nearby hike-bike trail and a river for fly fishing. Check-in was smooth and easy; there is a nice breakfast available; and owners were wonderful to talk with.

Liked that all the first-floor rooms are available for guests' use. Nice, comfortable furniture. Bedroom has both radiator heat and a guest-controlled split heat/AC unit. A good variety of eating and drinking establishments are a quarter mile up the road. We hope to return someday.

The owners were gracious and most friendly. We met parents and their one son. They were easy to chat with, and offered information about the various sights in the area. (directions, details, and so forth.) The house was decorated very comfortably and we felt at home. The common rooms were well appointed and had TVs, books, and games. However, the weather was superb so we spent our time there outdoors, including time around the campfire.

We arrived on a Monday afternoon & were greeted by Iris' sweet smile. She showed us to our Yellow Room where we lounged. The following morning, she made me sunnyside-up, & scrambled eggs for my husband, accompanied by fresh fruit & homemade baked goods. Truth be told, we only stayed here to visit Mama Cafe Baci, an Italian Restaurant that serves delicious food w/ a vast array of GF options. But, on the evening we brought back our dinner, & host Rafy turned on the fireplace for us, the magic of this historic house came to life. The heated blanket, the rug, the ambiance, & the company, is what led to these well-deserved 5 stars. Thank you for making us feel at home. An Oasis from the city, indeed.
