Traveled with pet dog. Lots of grassy open area to walk/play. Facility right next to a Cracker Barrel so easy walk to quick sit down dinner. Rooms basic, what you expect. Staff friendly. We visited Olympic USET equestrian center and this was least expensive pet friendly facility within 25 minutes of center. If you are into horses it's a fun, educational stop. Also pet friendly so well behaved dog is permitted to walk around off leash.

Leadership was extremely rude during the winter storm, which declared a state of emergency in New Jersey. I spoke to someone who was willing to refund me half of my bill. However, after a day, I called the manager, who informed me that she was not refunding the money. The reason given was that it was a third-party reservation, but the third party had reached out to the manager multiple times and she had declined. I must say that during these storms, it seems like they don’t care about anyone; they only care about the money. I also want to add that I asked for credit to stay another day instead of getting a refund, but they declined that request as well.

Checked in late at night and was very tired. After reaching the room along with all the luggage, found the bathroom was not clean. It had hair on the floor - possibly from a pet who stayed in the room previously. On the floor in one room there were a couple of dogs that were barking. Overall the stay was not satisfactory. Could not change the room at night because we were very tired.

My only “ding” is that the bed linens seemed to be made with non breathable fibers so even with the room temperature turned way down, the top sheets were way too warm. The woman at the front desk was robotic. Not unpleasant, but mechanical. The man cleaning the building was amazingly nice. The entrance of the place always smells clean, however, we stayed on the 4th floor, and it smelled like an old ashtray. Incidentally, the next morning the fire alarm went off. No fireman came. The staff were not interacting with the guests. It was just very weird. It wound up being someone smoking in one of the rooms. This must happen often, and the reason why there was no emergency presence (aside from a lone officer sent to check). Should there be a real emergency, I fear \"the hotel that cried wolf\" story would play out.

Hmmm how was our stay? I'm not sure because never got to stay! We're attending a Halloween party close by. Had our costumes ready to go. Arrive and we're told our reservation was canceled. That's funny cause not only didnt anyone tell us but just an hour earlier i was getting emails confirming my stay. Of course hotel blamed it on Hotels com. Listen its ok we got canceled. It happens... but to not get any notice!! Thank goodness it was only a 45 minute drive.

I stayed at this Hilton property on October 31 and unfortunately had one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room I was given appeared to be an accessible/handicap room, which would’ve been fine if the shower had been functional for standard use. Instead, it only had a handheld showerhead with no overhead option, and the mount on the wall didn’t angle downward — meaning I couldn’t actually take a proper shower. After a long day of travel, that was incredibly disappointing.

The next morning, housekeeping entered my room at 9:30 AM despite checkout not being until noon. It startled me awake and made for a very unpleasant morning.

When I tried to calmly explain all of this to the front desk at checkout, the staff member was dismissive and rude. She told me that since I booked through Expedia, I had to take it up with them and refused to even acknowledge my experience.

I did contact Expedia, who reached out to the hotel on my behalf — and the hotel refused to issue a refund, stating that “the shower was working properly.” I find that response insulting. You book a hotel for two simple things: to sleep well and shower comfortably. I was able to do neither, and instead have spent hours trying to get a basic resolution.

This experience has been disappointing. I expected better from a Hilton-branded property and hope corporate takes this feedback seriously.

My room was cancelled. Upon arrival at the hotel, the reception team advised us that the reservation was canceled by Expedia. Upon reaching out to Expedia customer service, they did not see the cancellation and saw my reservation as active.

Having been embarrassed already at location, my wife found an alternate hotel at the last moment.

I await feedback and completion of my refund, including use of points.

Cant really rate what you were lied to about!!!! Booked a room through Expedia.com and got a phone call from Hampton Inn Clinton hours before check-in that they were booked. We had booked our room well over two weeks ago. How all of a sudden the same day you realize your over booked. We had an event we were going to and live over 1 hour away. Ruined our whole weekend. Go elsewhere - dirty, old hotel

This hotel should not be part of the Hilton chain. Just awful. The hotel address does not work with gps and I wound up in the middle of nowhere in the dark had to call the hotel three times before they answered and I was told that it happens all the time but that they do not change their website. He told me to enter Cracker Barrell in gps to get there. (My car bottomed out on their pothole filled parking lot). When I checked in, the clerk charged me $75 additional for my service dog and said if I gave him $40 cash he wouldn’t charge me. (Gave him my credit card and after telling the clerk the following morning was refunded the fee).
The hotel is so run down and filthy with stained rugs, peeling wallpaper and a terrible old smoke/mildew smell everywhere. My tv would not access any of the channels. The desk clerk was totally unhelpful. I asked if I could just stream and was told that requires a different tv and I would have to move rooms. I gave up and just watched on my iPad. This was one of two hotels in the area and if I was not exhausted and it wasn’t so late I would have driven to the next town to find a more habitable hotel. This place was the worst and I cannot recommend it at all.

Clinton: who knew?

This is our go-to when we are headed to NYC. Staying in Clinton allows us to time our arrival in the Upper West Side to score free parking. We have stayed here a number of times, and really have come to love the town. There are good restaurants, shops, and interesting things to see. The Hampton Inn has what we need, is clean and convenient.

Terrible almost unediable breakfast, firm alarm in the night which the police say is a common occurence with this hotel and false alarms, our room was setup for handicap access with a tv setup with voice over with no way to change, the pool was closed due to a tiny amount of rain that day, people smoking weed all day and night in a non-smoking rooms beside us, loud yelling throughout the nights, I could go on and on. We didnt sleep well at all and wouldve been better off sleeping outside in the woods...

The staff at this place was rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional and ignorant of how to do their jobs. I was yelled at by their breakfast person, snapped at by others. They over-charged me on a pet fee and told me it was my fault for using expedia. I have never in all my years encpountered a staff more incompetent, and more diresepctful of a staying guest. I will never stay here again, nor at any Hamton Inn anywhere.

We had the Hospitality Suite so the room was large. The hotel did not have enough extra sheets or blankets for the pull out couch and for my blow up mattress. The AC system did not work. It was set for 74. I lowered it to 64. It never moved in 30 hours. I had to move rooms for the second night and it was smaller, still paid the same price and the room was also set for 74. It took 8 hours to get down to 69. There were also never enough towels for the pool. I was also charged an additional $281 that was an error and it was finally returned to my bank account 5 days later.

We waited a while thinking servings would be refilled, but finally left and went to the Cracker Barrel next door.

This hotel is in desperate need of a facelift. Paint is peeling, rugs are threadbare & stained, and there was a random French fry under the table in our room that I noticed on the 3rd day! (No we did not eat fries at all during our stay). The worst part was the smell on the “smoking optional” floor where we were assigned. We asked for a non-smoking room but that didn’t prevent anyone else from smoking (all sorts of things) in the rooms near ours. Yuck no not recommend.

After a long drive, we arrived to a very unfriendly front desk person. We rented a king suite with a pullout couch, but got home very late and hadn’t realized there was no bedding for the pullout. I went to the front desk to ask for help and was met by another extremely unfriendly desk person Who was seemingly angry at me because they don’t keep betting down at the front desk and she couldn’t get me any I had no choice, but to sleep on a pullout with one flat sheet and one blanket folded to make a sleeping bag. Completely unacceptable.
On the other hand, the breakfast staff was absolutely lovely and accommodating; kind and friendly. The maintenance staff was wonderful as well.

Had to stay here for 4 nights for a sports tournament otherwise we would’ve left after the first night. They asked if we wanted a non-smoking room. Of course we did. Does anyone actually want a smoking room these days? Yes, apparently. We learned after checking in that the 4th floor is a smoking floor. We stepped out of the elevator and were immediately hit with the smell of weed. Admittedly our room didn’t smell too bad but the entire floor just stunk.
On top of that, everything is just old, tired, and cheap. The bathroom wallpaper is peeling. The pillows are wonky and the bedding is scratchy. The fridge froze all our food. The AC was deafeningly loud. The laundry is coin-operated but they didn’t have enough change for me at the front desk. We needed extra towels and were told we must return our dirty towels to the front desk first. (??). Housekeeping comes every other day and on one visit didn’t even make one of the beds. The breakfast was fine for teenage boys but lacked anything fresh or healthy. Worst of all, the coffee was weak. Keep in mind we stay in a lot of similarly priced 3 star hotels when traveling with this team so we aren’t expecting the Ritz but unfortunately this one was substantially disappointing. One positive is that the staff are very nice, friendly, and hard-working.

Additionally, ceiling fixture was strobbing all night in bathroom. Husband in wheelchair so needed to keep a light on for him so he could see if he went into bathroom. Room smelled of dust. Mirror had a coat of dust on it. Sunday buffet breakfast was running out of food. I am requesting a refund for one day of my stay due to the poor conditions my husband had to endure.
