Housekeeping was excellent. Staff were very friendly. Loved the cleanliness of the resort. I had higher expectations for how good the food would be but still edible. The air conditioning in the rooms weren’t great. It also advertises that it’s all inclusive but it wasn’t. You had to pay for high quality food and drinks at certain restaurants. Overall, my family and I made the best of it and an enjoyable time.

We had a very unpleasant experience with our “supposed” concierge “Alex” who was forcing us to participate in a 1 1/2 hour “tour/timeshare” presentation upon arriving at the hotel (while we insisted we were hungry and just wanted to get into the pool/beach) My husband and I traveled with our daughter, son in law and 2 kids who just wanted to get on with our vacation. It was around 2:20 pm and the buffet lunch would close. He gave me, threatening unprofessional looks, when we simply said we’re not interested in presentation or “gift” “bottle of Mama Juana” we walked away and got on with our vacation, NEVER to receive any help or acknowledgment from him again. The restaurants are ok, we really just liked the Italian and Steakhouse. The Buffet by the Lobby was also good (just TOO hot in the food area). The rooms were nice spacious and clean, beds comfortable, we had to have our room changed due to A/C was not working, or TV or phone. The water pressure in shower is minimal. The staff in restaurants and housekeeping are very nice, friendly and kind. The trains that transport you around property are so so, long waits, hard to get on with all the people waiting. The music at the pool was not good or loud enough, not enough activities. Definitely not a 4 star resort. Too expensive for what is offered, we stayed 8 nights. ☹️

Beautiful property with multiple pools, kids Waterpark, and lovely stretch of beach with ample chairs at all locations. Room was beautiful and clean. Wifi was a little spotty even if you pay for the premium. Overall very well maintained. We really enjoyed the resident Peacocks and other birds. Restaurant booking was super easy through a QR code. Property is massive so it can be quite a trip to the beach and main pool depending on your room location but there are shuttles, though they are less frequent at times. Pools close surprisingly early at 7pm, which was a bummer. A little particular about dinner attire so make sure you look at that before you travel.

Definitely kid-friendly! We stayed in a swim-up suite with a triple bunk bed for the kids, and they absolutely loved it. We were only supposed to stay one night, but we ended up staying three because we were having such a great time. The water park was a huge hit -the kids were obsessed!

This is my second visit to this resort, this time around we stayed at the family club for a total of 5 nights the first 2 nights we had no AC in the hotel at all anywhere, not the bedrooms or any of the restaurants or anywhere in the hotel and not once did they offer some type of accommodations or credits to any of us. The staff this time around was terrible you would ask for something and automatically get an attitude, I asked for directions to get to one of the restaurants and staff member just said look for the map lady and walk away. I would absolutely not recommended or come back to this resort ever again.

AC went down for the last 2 day of our stay and was never fixed, nobody would answer in the guest service desk and any of the staff would provide an answer or resolution, staff was a hit or miss some very amicable others very rude and unhelpfull as it there were doing us a favor, besides that the hotel is not bad and there are several places to eat and do activities.

Pro: Kid Friendly.

Con: Our room was a disaster! AC wasn't working right, we weren't able to adjust temperature and was leaking water from the AC in the bathroom, the breakers went off and everything turned off and they had to send a technician to fix the AC and breakers situation. On the last day, barely any water coming out of the shower and no hot water at all. There's no ventilation in bedroom toilet. The food selection and quality weren't good at all, in fact some of my family members had a burger and they all had terrible stomach pain and fighting for the bathroom. The TV is located in a very bad place in the rooms, that doesn't make any sense and you have to dock so you don't hit yourself on your head with it. Pillows super hard and high and the \"comforter\" super hard. The kids water slides need maintenance, they're very dirty. No waiters on the beach or the pools. They don't seem to have a show every night, except for 2 nights (that's what I saw on the week's posters). No elevators close to the rooms.

I mean, I just won't stay there again and won't and don't recommend it either.

Overall the resort was great. We got upgraded rooms upgraded with pool which was nice ofcourse we have to pay for it. If you are Indian and like Indian restaurant the food there was not good at all. Other italian restaurant was good the buffet was good with lot of fruits options. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Very clean they have mini bar in room. No microwave though.

The resort has a nice atmosphere but unfortunately the rooms were crawling with cockroaches. We booked the family swim up suite and was given a room in the first floor. We took advantage of the pool but I noticed the pool didn’t smell like chlorine so I was a bit worried about the cleanliness of it. I later noticed after leaving a cup near the pool area it stood there for 2 days untouched. On day 2 when I opened the refrigerator we found three roaches crawling around on the water bottles. Sure enough two more later in the same area but not in the fridge this time. Then later found one more on the bed sheets. We asked to switch rooms. They gave us another room right near the lobby with a swim up and they made it seem like it was an uncommon issue. Surely enough the second room had even more. They were all over the dresser. We then made it a big deal since it was apparent that it was a resort wide issue. Then they offered to switch us to another room. During this transition they locked us out of the new room so my three young kids and my wife were standing in the hallway at 11pm at night getting bit up by mosquitoes until I demanded an employee to let them in while I was at the front desk getting a new key. This was the worst part but the service wasn’t really any better. Servers at the buffet all seems annoyed to work. We had to chase people down for drinkable water or utensils. It was a breathe of fresh air when we actually got a good server at the steakhouse. Overall:Bad

We had a wonderful trip here in mid April. There were 17 of us total staying at the family club with kids ranging from infant all the way up to age 5.

The resort was clean, the food was good, and we really enjoyed the beaches and pools.

Staff were spectacular. They went above and beyond to make sure that you were completely satisfied with everything. From the time of my arrival to my time of departure everything was like a dream come true. The facility was very well kept the staff were outstanding the food was great Couldn’t have asked for anything better. The only minor issue we had was with the Expedia representative at the hotel. He was unprofessional. He acted like we were asking for favors. I’m not sure if he’s aware that we’re paying for services. He’s name is Alex. Horrible. Very poorly spoken. He was very intrusive.

Disappointed in the food. Especially the restaurants that I had to make reservations at. Very rushed forced us to order appetizers and entrees all at the same time. Management was argumentative at Focaccia he told us he was very busy and could not order just an appetizer while we decided what our entrees would be.
Not the level of service we expected. Won’t be back to this resort I don’t think.

This was a decent resort but nothing really stood out as above average. Room was fine, I will say very good AC compared to some other places. WiFi was terrible, bought the premium WiFi for $20 and still couldn’t get into it most of the time. One restaurant we went to had rude staff that didn’t even offer drinks but the Mexican and tepanyakki were excellent.

We found that there were staff members super nice with excellent customer service but there were others that treated everyone like they didn’t really wanted to be there at all. There’s very little explanation about what type of activities you can find and how to book a restaurant reservation.

We were able to eat at a teppanyaki restaurant that didn’t have AC, it came to a point where it felt really hot.

Besides these things, I think is a good place to stay.

Awesome location for a family trip! We traveled here for a week with our 3 kids ages 6, 3, and 4 months old. The beach was wide and beautiful. There are plenty of chairs near umbrellas for shade but also a large area for kids to play in the sand and swim in the ocean. My kids loved the 2 kid pools with slides. We didn’t do too many of the kids club activities since we stayed at the beach most of the time, but the ones we did participate in were fun. Food was amazing. We really loved the Indian restaurant. The buffets have a great selection. Every staff member was kind and helpful and so friendly with our kids. The nature path was also fun for the kids. They loved spotting all of the different birds and turtles on the property. We would definitely come here again in the future.

Upon arrival I was told my room wasn’t ready and it was now 5pm which is no big deal. Then finally the room was ready and after getting in, there was water leaking everywhere from the AC. I called the guest service number and they said they would maintenance. After an hour nobody came. I stopped by the front desk and they said they will try again. I go to the buffet and come back and they just put towels on the floor. I asked for a different room but said I couldn’t because it’s sold out. I slipped and fell going to the bathroom because the water was literally everywhere. I really liked the resort and might come back but that was just ridiculous.

The resort is family friendly. Upon arriving, the staff were very welcoming. Just be aware that they will ask you to spend at least 90 minutes the next morning after breakfast for Royal Vacation Club, basically a timeshare thing. We spent more than that time and they tried to convince us to sign up but at the end, we were not interested and we really needed to attend back with our kids.

We reserved a family suite with a shared pool that is right outside. It appeared clean and it was very nice that they provided us plenty of water bottles, towels and goodies. I just wished they have hooks to hang up wet bath towels and bigger garbage cans since we have 3 kids. The buffet meals were pretty decent with different varieties every day. The tranporter to go to the beach was also very convenient.

Another major issue that we had was when we needed someone to unclog our toilet, it took over an hour waiting. The 3rd time my husband went to ask where was the plumber, they told him that he was eating. We were not happy about that because my kids and I needed to shower after we were in the pool. We couldn't shower because originally they told us that the plumber was coming within 15 mins and the shower wall was transparent.

But otherwise, we would still recommend it for families because overall, my kids had a great time with the pools and the lovely beach.

This was a good place overall. The pool outside of our room was awesome (in family section) and the room overall was great. The Bavaro beach was the way to go- great sand and lovely water! If you want to stay on the beach- don’t stay at the family princess section. You need to take a “train” from family section to the beach. They said it runs on Dominican time, but we honestly didn’t have to wait more than 5 min when we wanted to go. Otherwise it’s a 15 min walk. The family section could use some repair.. tiles missing on steps and in kids pool. My daughter cut her toe and foot twice on missing sections. My son has an allergy. Not allergy friendly at all, as most people at buffet don’t know if it contains the allergen or not. I didn’t love the food at the buffet and food at dinner was slightly better. At the dinner restaurants we told them of the allergy but one place made a mistake and I’m glad I am vigilant about it. It’s reasonably priced for what you get. If you opt for “shared transport” for airport transfer note that you are going with other people from other hotels. You may be making multiple stops which means it’ll take longer. Note: family princess section does not mean platinum. You can upgrade to platinum once you get there for more dining options. Only food trucks were option for family princess if down at the beach. They said it opens at 11 but really opened at 12. Their menu was more limited then what they advertised.

Our sheets in our room weren’t clean, our shower had no hot water . Changed rooms and was better . Beach and kids water slide area were great. Trolley ride was always available. . The property itself was well maintained . Food was okay. Kids buffet was where I would eat to get good food.

We have been to this resort 2 times within the last two years. We have a 10yr old and 14yr old. We stayed in family club both times. We had a swim up room the last time in Dec/25. Best decision ever! Kids loved the kids buffet, the bars where they could order their kid daquiri's. The main pool was always fun. Food in restaurants as well as the buffets was fabulous. We never drank the tap water, even for brushing teeth. This helped us avoid any tummy issues. Beach is clean and beautiful views. The dive center right on the beach by the little kid water park was great. PADI certified. Beautiful grounds and impeccabely maintained. Service was always wonderful. Staff is very friendly. We always were made feel like royalty, especially the kids. We can't wait to go back!

Well let me tell you : on day 1 we found out we couldn’t use the waterslide with my grandchildren! How ridiculous is that? Children if 3 and 18 months needed us to be with them on the waterslide!!
2- When we called guest service NO ONE ANSWERED EVER!
3- The beach was way too strong for young children to play in the ocean!
The restaurant only open at 6 pm for dinner we had to stop at guest service to adjust our dinner reservation.. really annoying!

4- we were hustled by staff for tours and activities we didn’t want to do since we had a young family we take around.

5- Service at breakfast was so slow we had to fectch our waiters everyday

6- The smell ( cooked meat was so bad I couldn’t go on the patio !
7- The room had a moldy smell.
8- We all got sick
The seaweed at the beach was out of control, no crew to clean up.

9- I realized that the bother of waiting for the train to take us where we going is not at all restful when On vacation

10-Good even though it was plentiful was not really tasty

11- we had to wait in line 5 - 10 minutes at the omelette station, by the time we ate food was cold

12- Buffet style is a lot of work when you vacation with a young family, sit down dinners was a bit better

13- in 8 days I had 1 good meal

14- I booked in April, in August I called the hotel to make sure that my room and my son’s room were next to each other, no one answered
I HAD TO CALL EXPEDIA IN DECEMBER SPEND 30 minutes on the phone to get that set up.

The Property was amazing, we stayed in the family room and the rooms were great. The only thing was that the safe box did not work and the bathroom was way to small.

Services was terrible, except for a couple of waiters, in general the staff is not friendly, does not like to service and takes very long to resolve. Most of the time their answer is \" no\" .

Food was horrible. Burgers were made with something like a synthetic meat patty, for example... all the meat and chicken was cooked way too much and dry.
The themed restaurants were OK, the best was wasabi and the indian - but not amazing.
Alcoholic drinks were not good quality (generic)
Could not get a frozen margarita - which is basic in these types of resorts.

Reception: When we arrived, our reservation was not accounted for correctly (not sure if its expedia or the resort) but we were charged more than $1,000 to accomodate my kids which were included in the original reservation.

in general - poor experience.

The hotel was nice and the beach amazing. However, the people selling tours and things in the beach is kind of annoying. all day long....

The tours offered are not good quality and overpriced.

Everything was solid. Fast check-in / checkout. Clean rooms. Clean beautiful grounds. Main issues were very loud even on the beach. Couldn’t escape the noise to find restful peace. Turn it down a notch or two in the regular areas. We should be able to find a place on the beach with no noise. Also, wayyyyy too many salespeople on the beach. It was ridiculous. That was as distracting or more than the noise.

Overall the resort itself is nice. Great amenities for families such has water parks and kid centers. The room had a toilet that didn’t flush and we had to call maintenance to our room every time so one used the bathroom. After two days we finally got a room change. Full service restaurants were good but both adults got food poisoning from the food buffet.

We stayed at this hotel with 2 kids, aged 3 & 4. We had a good time but we weren't impressed and didn't consider this hotel a 5 star as it's rated. It's closer to 3 stars. We stayed at the Family Club Hotel, as it was supposed to be better suited for small children. The rooms are absolutely not safe for little kids. Every element in the room is sharp. The stairs have jagged edges. The corners are sharp and unsafe. The bathroom tile is pretty slippery and so is the tile on the patio portion. We're coming back with many bruises and nicks. As the room is open between the main bed area and the children's bedbunk, we were hoping the bed and doors would be quieter, but everything creeked and cracked and it was impossible to be quiet while the kids slept.
The food was very mediocre. Super fried, pretty bland, very very oily.
Overall, we won't be coming back to this place and leave somewhat disappointed in the experience.

Amenities were top notch. Positives: Not a long ride from the airport. Property trolley, numerous food options, day and night events, shopping on site, staff all excellent. Able to book excursions on site. I will return and recommend. Next time I will not pack as much. Negatives: not muxh. I'd add a full length mirror on the wall next to the bathroom and a cpl of adult only hot tubs.

The room was great for our family of four with extra beds for the kids. Staying at the family resort came with extra perks of beach toys and towel bag for the stay. They provide room slippers which came in handy because we ended up finding broken glass in our room after the first day of housekeeping, which was a disappointment when they sent a handy man to check for broken glass in the showers. Also, after I hand checked myself and found a total of 3 pieces. The amenities for the kids were great with water park and a kids club. If your looking for many food options i find this very limited compared to other resorts and the free wifi was very weak even in the rooms. A la carte Restaurants included in our all inclusive required booking thru their site but with poor wifi it made it impossible to book.

Room was clean- bathroom was on the small size but worked for us. Pools and waterpark were clean and staff was friendly. Food was okay and excepted like most all inclusive resorts I felt It wasn’t anything to rave about. I do feel like there was a cleanliness issue at the buffet. Over all good stay

We travelled as a family with little ones. The place was great and comfortable. Staff was amazing moreso our housekeeper shes always smiling and warm. The food options could have been better, but the services were great

The food was disappointing, the buffets have like 4 different stations where they serve the same 5 foods , every day no variety of food . Food dont have any flavor. And the reservation restaurant are no different in flavor and they take so long to serve a small amount of food.
