Staff were spectacular. They went above and beyond to make sure that you were completely satisfied with everything. From the time of my arrival to my time of departure everything was like a dream come true. The facility was very well kept the staff were outstanding the food was great Couldn’t have asked for anything better. The only minor issue we had was with the Expedia representative at the hotel. He was unprofessional. He acted like we were asking for favors. I’m not sure if he’s aware that we’re paying for services. He’s name is Alex. Horrible. Very poorly spoken. He was very intrusive.

Disappointed in the food. Especially the restaurants that I had to make reservations at. Very rushed forced us to order appetizers and entrees all at the same time. Management was argumentative at Focaccia he told us he was very busy and could not order just an appetizer while we decided what our entrees would be.
Not the level of service we expected. Won’t be back to this resort I don’t think.

This was a decent resort but nothing really stood out as above average. Room was fine, I will say very good AC compared to some other places. WiFi was terrible, bought the premium WiFi for $20 and still couldn’t get into it most of the time. One restaurant we went to had rude staff that didn’t even offer drinks but the Mexican and tepanyakki were excellent.

We found that there were staff members super nice with excellent customer service but there were others that treated everyone like they didn’t really wanted to be there at all. There’s very little explanation about what type of activities you can find and how to book a restaurant reservation.

We were able to eat at a teppanyaki restaurant that didn’t have AC, it came to a point where it felt really hot.

Besides these things, I think is a good place to stay.

Awesome location for a family trip! We traveled here for a week with our 3 kids ages 6, 3, and 4 months old. The beach was wide and beautiful. There are plenty of chairs near umbrellas for shade but also a large area for kids to play in the sand and swim in the ocean. My kids loved the 2 kid pools with slides. We didn’t do too many of the kids club activities since we stayed at the beach most of the time, but the ones we did participate in were fun. Food was amazing. We really loved the Indian restaurant. The buffets have a great selection. Every staff member was kind and helpful and so friendly with our kids. The nature path was also fun for the kids. They loved spotting all of the different birds and turtles on the property. We would definitely come here again in the future.

Upon arrival I was told my room wasn’t ready and it was now 5pm which is no big deal. Then finally the room was ready and after getting in, there was water leaking everywhere from the AC. I called the guest service number and they said they would maintenance. After an hour nobody came. I stopped by the front desk and they said they will try again. I go to the buffet and come back and they just put towels on the floor. I asked for a different room but said I couldn’t because it’s sold out. I slipped and fell going to the bathroom because the water was literally everywhere. I really liked the resort and might come back but that was just ridiculous.

The resort is family friendly. Upon arriving, the staff were very welcoming. Just be aware that they will ask you to spend at least 90 minutes the next morning after breakfast for Royal Vacation Club, basically a timeshare thing. We spent more than that time and they tried to convince us to sign up but at the end, we were not interested and we really needed to attend back with our kids.

We reserved a family suite with a shared pool that is right outside. It appeared clean and it was very nice that they provided us plenty of water bottles, towels and goodies. I just wished they have hooks to hang up wet bath towels and bigger garbage cans since we have 3 kids. The buffet meals were pretty decent with different varieties every day. The tranporter to go to the beach was also very convenient.

Another major issue that we had was when we needed someone to unclog our toilet, it took over an hour waiting. The 3rd time my husband went to ask where was the plumber, they told him that he was eating. We were not happy about that because my kids and I needed to shower after we were in the pool. We couldn't shower because originally they told us that the plumber was coming within 15 mins and the shower wall was transparent.

But otherwise, we would still recommend it for families because overall, my kids had a great time with the pools and the lovely beach.

For those who have kids and would also like to enjoy a good time with their wife or husband, this is the perfect place to go. While your kids are having fun, you can relax and enjoy yourself as well. This was a good place overall. The pool outside of our room was awesome (in family section) and the room overall was great. The Bavaro beach was the way to go- great sand and lovely water! If you want to stay on the beach- don’t stay at the family princess section. You need to take a “train” from family section to the beach. They said it runs on Dominican time, but we honestly didn’t have to wait more than 5 min when we wanted to go. Otherwise it’s a 15 min walk. The family section could use some repair.. tiles missing on steps and in kids pool. My daughter cut her toe and foot twice on missing sections. My son has an allergy. Not allergy friendly at all, as most people at buffet don’t know if it contains the allergen or not. I didn’t love the food at the buffet and food at dinner was slightly better. At the dinner restaurants we told them of the allergy but one place made a mistake and I’m glad I am vigilant about it. It’s reasonably priced for what you get. If you opt for “shared transport” for airport transfer note that you are going with other people from other hotels. You may be making multiple stops which means it’ll take longer. Note: family princess section does not mean platinum. You can upgrade to platinum once you get there for more dining options. Only food trucks were option for family princess if down at the beach. They said it opens at 11 but really opened at 12. Their menu was more limited then what they advertised.

We have been to this resort 2 times within the last two years. We have a 10yr old and 14yr old. We stayed in family club both times. We had a swim up room the last time in Dec/25. Best decision ever! Kids loved the kids buffet, the bars where they could order their kid daquiri's. The main pool was always fun. Food in restaurants as well as the buffets was fabulous. We never drank the tap water, even for brushing teeth. This helped us avoid any tummy issues. Beach is clean and beautiful views. The dive center right on the beach by the little kid water park was great. PADI certified. Beautiful grounds and impeccabely maintained. Service was always wonderful. Staff is very friendly. We always were made feel like royalty, especially the kids. We can't wait to go back!

Well let me tell you : on day 1 we found out we couldn’t use the waterslide with my grandchildren! How ridiculous is that? Children if 3 and 18 months needed us to be with them on the waterslide!!
2- When we called guest service NO ONE ANSWERED EVER!
3- The beach was way too strong for young children to play in the ocean!
The restaurant only open at 6 pm for dinner we had to stop at guest service to adjust our dinner reservation.. really annoying!

4- we were hustled by staff for tours and activities we didn’t want to do since we had a young family we take around.

5- Service at breakfast was so slow we had to fectch our waiters everyday

6- The smell ( cooked meat was so bad I couldn’t go on the patio !
7- The room had a moldy smell.
8- We all got sick
The seaweed at the beach was out of control, no crew to clean up.

9- I realized that the bother of waiting for the train to take us where we going is not at all restful when On vacation

10-Good even though it was plentiful was not really tasty

11- we had to wait in line 5 - 10 minutes at the omelette station, by the time we ate food was cold

12- Buffet style is a lot of work when you vacation with a young family, sit down dinners was a bit better

13- in 8 days I had 1 good meal

14- I booked in April, in August I called the hotel to make sure that my room and my son’s room were next to each other, no one answered
I HAD TO CALL EXPEDIA IN DECEMBER SPEND 30 minutes on the phone to get that set up.

The Property was amazing, we stayed in the family room and the rooms were great. The only thing was that the safe box did not work and the bathroom was way to small.

Services was terrible, except for a couple of waiters, in general the staff is not friendly, does not like to service and takes very long to resolve. Most of the time their answer is \" no\" .

Food was horrible. Burgers were made with something like a synthetic meat patty, for example... all the meat and chicken was cooked way too much and dry.
The themed restaurants were OK, the best was wasabi and the indian - but not amazing.
Alcoholic drinks were not good quality (generic)
Could not get a frozen margarita - which is basic in these types of resorts.

Reception: When we arrived, our reservation was not accounted for correctly (not sure if its expedia or the resort) but we were charged more than $1,000 to accomodate my kids which were included in the original reservation.

in general - poor experience.

The hotel was nice and the beach amazing. However, the people selling tours and things in the beach is kind of annoying. all day long....

The tours offered are not good quality and overpriced.

We stayed at this hotel with 2 kids, aged 3 & 4. We had a good time but we weren't impressed and didn't consider this hotel a 5 star as it's rated. It's closer to 3 stars. We stayed at the Family Club Hotel, as it was supposed to be better suited for small children. The rooms are absolutely not safe for little kids. Every element in the room is sharp. The stairs have jagged edges. The corners are sharp and unsafe. The bathroom tile is pretty slippery and so is the tile on the patio portion. We're coming back with many bruises and nicks. As the room is open between the main bed area and the children's bedbunk, we were hoping the bed and doors would be quieter, but everything creeked and cracked and it was impossible to be quiet while the kids slept.
The food was very mediocre. Super fried, pretty bland, very very oily.
Overall, we won't be coming back to this place and leave somewhat disappointed in the experience.

The room was great for our family of four with extra beds for the kids. Staying at the family resort came with extra perks of beach toys and towel bag for the stay. They provide room slippers which came in handy because we ended up finding broken glass in our room after the first day of housekeeping, which was a disappointment when they sent a handy man to check for broken glass in the showers. Also, after I hand checked myself and found a total of 3 pieces. The amenities for the kids were great with water park and a kids club. If your looking for many food options i find this very limited compared to other resorts and the free wifi was very weak even in the rooms. A la carte Restaurants included in our all inclusive required booking thru their site but with poor wifi it made it impossible to book.

Starting by the good part: The hotel is nice in term of infrastructure specially for families with small kids. The beach was nice and the rooms renovated.

Now moving for the standard part: The food (including the restaurants with reservation for dinners) is between low & average (nothing fancy or special to be honest) which is a little bit disappointing for a 5 start all inclusive.

And finishing with the areas of improvement: The worse part was the service specially at the restaurants, all the waiters were very rude, with no interest at all to attend people.
In my case in more than 25 years visiting all type of hotels for leisure or work (at least once per month), I truly don't remember a hotel with such a bad service....it seems that the staff do it on purpose to disappoint people.

El hotel no tiene variedad de comida y la poca que tienen no es buena, las atenciones del personal del hotel hacia el huésped es pobre. El parque de agua de los niños no está higiénico y si llevas un bebé no puede utilizar los toboganes porque no permiten a los padres acompañarlos. Para los restaurantes a la carta hay que hacer reserva y la mitad de los platos del menú hay que pagarlos no vale la pena. Por otro lado la habitación estaba bien igual que la higiene de la misma.

I didnt like the people who were trying to scam you to offer vacations details! They will say they have gifts for you but this is not true!

We went 4 yrs ago and decided to go bc we enjoyed it back then. We upgraded to the swim out which is a must with kids. The kids club we only use once the kids were bored ages 5-9. They have 2 other pools a relaxing one and the main one with a bar. The water was dirty in that pool. The trolley driving you around is an excellent idea we used it several times. Moving on the workers seemed like they did not want to be there. We didn't hear any of the workers say good morning. If you asked for something it's seems like you are bothering them. Bar in the lobby gets packed. The food at the buffet was mediocre they serve the same thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have several other restaurants which needed reservations that was a hassle. We went to guest services and a lady did them for us. We were a group of 9. We tried the habachi, Italian and steakhouse. They also have a pub which opens 24/7. Food is available. Options were limited. Family side also has a buffet for lunch. They have food trucks by the beach and the food pretty much the same items you can find in the buffet. There is also a ice cream truck it was a hit with the kids. The evening shows were pretty boring. They have shows in the theater and music in the lobby. To summarize we loved the swim out pool. The kids loved the trolley and ice cream truck. They also enjoyed the arcade games in the 2nd floor of the bar. We won't be going back we went twice and definitely the resort has downgraded. WiFi SUCKS.

I liked how they had a 24/7 pub with bar food. Also that they had some main entertainment every night and events at the pool by the beach. Service was good could have been better. The dining in at restaurants pros: you can order as much as you want and the restaurants were kept in good order,
cons: we had to order all at one time, so if we wanted to have multiple courses for one person we had to do it right then and there. The alcoholic drinks weren’t consistent at the restaurants. They were out of chicken at different restaurants/bars.
Our room specifically had a lamp that would work only if it had something on top of the switch to keep it on. I would recommend putting body mirrors for the families to check their outfits out before heading out.

The majority of the staff was rude. My daughter lost her anklet and wedding band, she searched the entire room and asked the cleaning ladies and they said they didn’t see anything. She thought maybe she had packed it. We got home and it wasn’t in the luggage which means someone took it. The activities were boring, not much entertainment for the kids. Same atmosphere every night. First and last time here.

Todo muy bueno, excelentes atenciones. Buena comida, buen ambiente, pero a uno de mis familiares le robaron un perfume de la habitacion #9133 el dia 13 de agosto del 2025.
Las actividades de entretenimiento son muy pobres, los animadores son buenos , paro no tienen una buena prosuccion
