This is a family-owned and ran B&B on a gorgeous piece of land. We had magnificent views from our patio looking down toward the archeological park and monuments and further below, the water. The property is beautiful and is the perfect place for tranquility. The staff is friendly and helpful, although I struggled a little with my inability to speak better Italian! I had to use my translator app a few times. You can walk to the archeological park from the property (but you might want to take a cab instead of walking uphill on your way back). We didn't have a car, so it was a little difficult trying to figure out how to get into the city center area for dining and shopping.

The owners were so kind. Our room was perfect for what we needed. The bathroom is a bit small, but that is my only criticism. I would 10/10 stay here again and recommend it to anyone. The grounds are spectacular and contain old olive trees, citrus, and lovely views. I wished we stayed longer than one night. It’s also just a short walk to the valley of the temples. Great place!

Luigi and employees were friendly and respectful and made us feel right at home.
We had dinner both nights and breakfast as well which was included. The dinner’s were delicious and the patio is lovely. Be sure to keep some Euros to pay for dinner on checkout.
The rooms were nice - watch out for low ceilings! Perfect spot to visit the Ruins!
Would love to return some day !

Piece of heaven at the temples

This was a last minute booking to stay in the area after seeing the temples. It is right next door and you can view the temples lit up from the patio and it is tranquil and beautiful. The accommodations are also very beautiful and very clean. Great AC. Very comfortable beds. The family that runs it is so welcoming and helpful too. Wish we could stay longer. Food was great as well.

Perfect home base to explore the Valley of the Temples. It is literally 1 minute by car or around a 12 minute walk. Loved the change of pace vs other Sicilian towns/accomodations. We stayed in a family villa/apartment and it was huge for our family of 4.

My kids and wife loved the breakfast. They felt it was “homemade” vs the commercial breakfast we had been having at other hotels.

The hosts and staff were amazing and very friendly.

Such lovely staff and the 2nd best spot for the temples (after the Villa Athena $$$$$) The proprietor is kind and helpful and the rooms have a very nice modern but traditional vibe. The linens are top quality but only one hot tub was working (it was early in the summer season). I would return ANY time esp for the night view of the temples. Lovely breakfast and you are surrounded by 500 year old olive trees ! Plus you can walk to the best restaurant “II Re di Girgenti” which has superb food and view !

Amazing grounds with THOUSAND year old olive trees and citrus. Easily walkable to The Valley of the Temples, so no need to move your car. Several very good restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are clean and solid 3 star (not elegant but adequate.)

This property is gorgeous !!! The views are spectacular. And being surrounded by orage and lemons trees was a plus. Breakfast was great. And restaurants for dinner were quite close. A fabulous place to stay and see the Valley of the Temples. Could even walk to the archaeological park!!

What an outstanding place! Pierro met us and was very friendly and helpful! The whole place is beautiful with very old olive trees! The view of the temples at night is amazing! And we were given the key to a gate that led directly to the temples. You absolutely must stay here when visiting Agrigento!

This is an unbelievably beautiful place to stay in Agrigento. It was near town but so private and unbelievable views of the Temples and the Sea. The family that ran it were so lovely and welcoming. Amazing breakfast! Owner booked dinner reservations at a lovely restaurant for us. Only regret was not staying longer. Treat yourself to the hidden GEM!!

A great experience near the Temples

A great location with beautiful views at of the temples at night. A family run operation and all of the employees take great pride in serving their customers. The evening dinner was fantastic, with great variety featuring typical Sicilian fare. Breakfast outside was very good and the resident cats and dog were very entertaining!

We loved being so close to the Valley of the Temples - you can see some of the temples from the property. We had the 1 bedroom condo; the sofa sleeper was not very comfy. But other than that, the place was great! And the location simply glorious!

Our stay at this hotel in Agrigento was nothing short of extraordinary. The view of the Valley of the Temples from the hotel is truly iconic—something you’ll remember forever. The staff went above and beyond, providing excellent recommendations for dining in town and guiding us on how to best explore the Valley.

One of the highlights of our stay was spending the evening in the spa, sipping on a spritz while gazing out at the temples. It was a deeply memorable and humbling experience that will stay with me forever.

At night, we enjoyed stargazing from our patio, surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere that left us feeling refreshed and ready for the next day.

I wholeheartedly recommend this property and can’t wait to return for a longer stay.

This is the most beautiful place we have stayed in. Spectacular views of the Mediterranean and Valley of the Temples. So quiet and serene after spending three nights in Palermo. We rented a car near the port of Palermo and drove through the mountains, farms and fields to get to Agrigento. Our only disappointment, we wished we would have stayed more than one night.

If you have a car, everything is nearby, but it can be a little far if you go on foot. However, the property is beautiful, and the view of the temples is worth dying for. The breakfast and housing were lovely, very nice and clean. The service was excellent, too. The owner was always available and very pleasant to speak with.

Located in the lovely quiet countryside which is easy to access and a great proximity to Valley Of the Temples and Museum as opposed to staying in busy Agrigento where parking is difficult to find. Lovely grounds, with nice views. Our room was quiet, large and very clean. Breakfast had a nice selection of pastries, protein, cheese, eggs, yogurt & fruit. We definitely recommend without hesitation.

We enjoyed our time here. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and location convenient. Breakfast was very good and served on the sunny terrace. We took advantage of a dinner prepared by the on-site chef. We had no regrets. The dinner was generous and well prepared. All the staff were eager to help in any way they could. One small negative about our stay - the hot water supply was a bit erratic.

Villa La Lumia B&B Suites & Apartments is a beautiful property overlooking the ancient Greek ruins. Easy to walk to the museum and park entrance. The rooms are clean and beautiful! We dined here for dinner and breakfast and truly the best meals so far on our trip around Sicily! So fresh and homemade! The only glitch was GPS -Maps on arrival. It was taking us to a back entrance luckily good signage to see from road. They do have a nice car park on property. We definitely recommend staying here!

On the property grounds there are orange and almonds orchard. Breakfast area in the garden overlooks the temples which glow in the warm light. Has the vibe of a Tuscan Villa, Breakfast is rich, and Pietro, the owner, is hospitable and a pleasure to interact with. Kids are entertained by the six or so cats.

Brilliant location, within walking distance of the Valley of the Temples. Wonderful accommodation with really lovely and welcoming owners. We stayed in the panoramic suite which is much larger than the photos show and was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. We ate dinner in the restaurant which doesn't offer a choice of food, but what they have prepared - perfect for us but not for anyone with allergies or fussiness. I can't recommend this place more highly and will definitely be returning and will stay longer.

Villa La Lumia is a beautiful and traditional country house nestled in the wonderful Sicilian countyside. Having breakfast outdoor with local products and home made cakes with a breathtaking view on the temples is quite an experience. Rooms/apartments are comfortable, spacious and sparkling clean and the owner and his family are lovely and very welcoming. The position is simply perfect: 15 min walking (or 3 minutes driving) from the entrance of the valley, 15 min driving from Scala dei Turchi beach, private free parking… The best experience on our trip in Sicily!

Beautiful facilities with a great view over the Temple’s Valley. Very close to the historic it’s and a very nice and quiet area. The hotel is owned by a family and they are welcoming and nice. Th restaurant is nice and offers very nice local food. Two things to improve the wifi service. We didn’t have any service during our second day. the toilet is old and when flushed it takes a long time to fill again. this is a problem when the room is shared with other members of the family or a group of friends.

Great find in Agrigento

A great find just outside of the town of Agrigento. Walking distance to the museum and a wonderful trattoria. This property is owned by a very nice couple. His English is pretty good however the lady does not but we did communicate.
Our room was above the breakfast room and had a lovely terrace and view of the main temple which is also lit in the nighttime. Breakfast was very pleasant with eggs to order. Loved the filled crescent. Beautiful property
The room is comfortable with a very modern bathroom but the bedroom could use an update. My only issue was the hanging bare (modern style) light bulbs which is not good makeup or shaving.

So close to the Valley of the Temples, you can see the structures while relaxing at the end of the day. You can walk to the museum and park from the property. The family is very warm and helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer. Plan on staying at least 2 nights!

This property is in a beautiful setting. Our gps had some difficulty locating it. Perhaps because the signage is not large and is down a little lane that was hard for us to see coming down the hill. This place is truly amazing!
The location, the views, the accommodation and the owners were all fantastic!
We stayed in the downstairs converted barn apartment which was stunning. It had an outside seating area set under shady olive trees with views across the Valley of the Temples.
Breakfast was delicious, served on the communal patio area under more shady olive trees overlooking the lemon grove with views of the Temples beyond. Nona was the perfect host – she even made us a pot of English tea to have with our breakfast!
The Valley is a steady 15 minute walk from the property, so you can leave your car there and not worry about the parking.
Would highly recommend this place.

I would love to rate Villa LaLumia a 10 out of 5 if I could! This was the best part of our whole trip. Luigi and his family are spectacular hosts. They prepared an amazing dinner outside on the terrace (which has a fantastic view of the Valley of the Temples) for all of the guests using either their own homegrown products or products obtained locally. We felt like members of the family in the two days we were there. The setting is absolutely perfect, rooms lovely and the temples within walking distance (about one mile). Hope to come back and stay there again but longer!
