The staff was very kind and everything worked well. It was exactly as you would expect from a small town motel. Nothing bad to be said. There was a Christmas event and there was a lot right at the motel. The staff worked the event and front desk, we did not have to wait long.
Dennis

I did not like that there was no dressers, shelves, comforable chairs or small table .Motel otherwise was great.I am a senior with hip replacements. We took 2 outdoor plastic chairs and put pillows on them.Just needed a little more comfort for three days not suitcase on floor.

Great place to stay
The receptionist that registered us was very helpful. Located in the center of everything. Very clean & modern room. Pool area was great. We would definitely stay there again.
John
My husband and i went away for a few days and stayed at Sherwood Motel. Our room was immaculate, well stocked and very comfortable. Although, i felt more towel hooks would have been nice, it did not hinder our stay. Would definitely stay again!
Carrie
Will go back
Clean room and friendly staff.
Angela
Nice place and clean.
David
Full for gas company trucks which rev their engines outside the room for long amounts of time for unknown reasons. Room also had a smell of heavy machinery. Room wasn’t serviced throughout the stay. Unsure what that was about.
Susan

so welcome. They were so accommodating!
Nothing was too much trouble!

Pleasantly Surprised
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was both spacious and clean. I really appreciated the amenities provided, like the popcorn and spare bedding. The little gift bags for guests provided in the lobby was a nice surprise also.
Tim
Recently renovated rooms. Very quaint and cozy, without being small. I have stayed in all but one of the other motels in Wellsboro, I aways stay here.
Wendy
A small, \"old style\" motel room. Lumpy mattress that rocked when you moved. Tiny bathroom but great shower pressure! Safe location, limited amenities, basic place to stay for a night if you don't want any extras. Loud heating unit, large refrigerator. \"Average\" and clean.
Kristin
Staff was friendly and room was probably the cleanest hotel room we have stayed in.
Wanda
Beautiful place to stay!!!!!

Michelle
Wonderful location in downtown Wellsboro, PA. Super friendly staff and heated outdoor pool. Great for families!
Richard
The pros: This property was in a great location, we walked to the park, up the full length of Main St etc. Great parking and safe location. The room was large and very clean, plenty of space. Nice, well maintained pool, friendly staff.
The cons: Our room had two queen beds, both of which had mattresses that pushed you to the middle of the bed making it feel like two people were sleeping in a twin. Mattresses not great. Also, shower had very little water pressure, water was nice and hot though.

Clean and quiet
What a quaint hotel in the heart of Wellsboro. The rooms are immaculate and we were easily able to walk to restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Vicki
Liked location and very nice staff and nice pool
Paul
Quaint motel, very much in keeping with the small-town charm of Wellsboro. Right on the edge of Main Street, walkable to all shops and restaurants. Looks to have been refurbished fairly recently and the room decor was very well done from the bathroom to the curtain holders! Clean and well kept.
The only minor issue was the a/c unit was quite loud...when the compressor kicked in, it sounded like an old muscle car running in the parking lot! But, some ear plugs solved that issue.
Great place, highly recommend!

Great choice
We made a great choice. The location is perfect. Went to a nearby restaurant based on the desk clerk's recommendation and was told to tell them we were staying at this hotel and got a ten percent discount. Great meal too!
Sung Min
The people and the staff were so friendly, especially the front deak guys. Does the job, great clean place to sleep and keep the adventure going .. definitely would recommend!
Suzanne
What we didn't even think of when reserving rooms here was the physical location - right on a street corner. Which can get fairly busy at morning and evening rush hours. For rooms near the back of the building, it's not too much an issue, but our rooms were right up front straddling the corner, and truck traffic at 6A was a little too much noise for a vacation. Otherwise, as other reviewers mentioned, staff go home at 10P, so make sure you have your room keys and anything else you need - you won't have anyone available until the morning. Rooms were pleasant enough (even if the walls are a little thin to hear a neighbor yelling at his phone); beds were a bit soft for my liking, but serviceable. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. I'd stay again - but asking for a room at the back!
Joann
Room was freezing heater not operating right
Kathleen
We were pleasantly surprised to find this place so convenient to downtown Wellsboro's dining and shopping. Because it sits back off of the main drag it felt safe with plenty of parking.
cheryl
A small hotel which was easy to find, clean and comfortable. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Jeffrey
Quaint motel, clean and updated

Nice place to visit and good place to stay
We very much enjoyed our visit to Wellsboro. We enjoyed visiting friends, visiting Pine Creek Gorge, and several restaurants and sites in town. We found the Sherwood Motel a pleasant place to stay, within easy walking distance of TOPS grocery and CVS drug stores, several fast food places, and right on Main Street within easy walking distance of numerous nice restaurants and other places of interest.
Jeff
Friendly staff, great location to all things downtown Wellsboro.
Scott
Clean. Friendly
Patricia
Liked the out door heated pool in September.
Bill
Parking lot is crowded, a lot of cable TV trucks make it tough to navigate. Upholstered chair had food remnants.
Della
I loved the bird house next to the office. Such an amazing way to save a giant tree like that.
Stephen D
Great Place to Stay!
Allowed us an early check in. Great people, very nice place away from the road.

Impressive all around
First time stay at this Hotel. As a frequent cyclist of the PCT I enjoyed staying here and found it quiet, exceptionally clean and well kept. Friendly Staff and knowledgeable.
Jetted tub was a great relief after a 34 mile run on PCT and performed well...a little small but worked well.
Very handy to Dunkin, McD, Tops, and Wellsboro Diner, so walking to each is less than 5 minutes.
One issue - the drapes on front window - above heater will blow open as heater turns on, so I pinned them up so they stayed shut? No Biggie.. Room 137.

good location in a nice little town

Always clean and friendly. Nothing fancy, but convenient to Pa. Grand Canyon, Watkins Glen State Park and walkable for dinning and movies. Can not beat the price, our time in Wellsboro would not be complete without staying at the Sherwood Motel.
