Just all good

Location was great and pool was a nice touch. Wished there was a hot tub but they did have a sauna.
The air conditioning unit for the room was located in the bathroom and didn’t really work.

My room was a brand new and I loved! Perfect spot, close to market, pubs and main street. Perfect place to be for riding on Route 6. Highly recommended!!!
Thad
Great place to stay. Had a clean room, pool was awesome, and Wellsboro is just a great little town. People at the motel were all nice. Will definitely stay there again.
Jennifer
It had been several months since we booked our suite, and I had forgotten the details, so we were not expecting the roomy accommodations. We appreciated all the little details to make us feel at home. We are looking forward to booking our next stay at The Canyon Motel!
Hyun
Better than some of the hotels, i highly recommend it.
Robert
Not a lot of extras but all the necessary needs for a traveler. Very clean room. Located right near center of town. An ice machine would have been nice.
Cheryl
Located centrally in downtown Wellsboro allowing us to walk to many things. The room was clean and the employees were very friendly and helpful. The amount of space was refreshing. It was great to be able to close the bedroom door when one of us was not ready for sleep. The full size fridge was a surprise. And the popcorn was a nice touch.
Darrah
The bed was amazing!
The property is an unique motel and the lay-out is challenging at first, but I figured it out after a few laps. The location is fantastic with a grocery store and a quaint downtown within walking distance.

The location of this motel is absolutely perfect. You are in walking distance to the diner and the downtown area. The rooms were very clean and a nice size. The staff was so nice and very helpful whenever we had a question or needed their assistance. There is a large indoor pool that we used and was very clean and actually unexpected. If ever in the area again I would stay here without question.
ERICA
I have been coming to this hotel for quite a few years and they are always very welcoming and the rooms are always very clean and fresh.
Edward
Nice place in a great location. The suites are well equipped to entertain and feed people.
BRIAN
Room looked like it had been renovated fairly recently. Road noise was relatively low, given that this is a motel. Shower water pressure was OK, not great. Cable TV quality was poor. Staff was friendly, but watch out for late arrivals.
KAREN
My husband and I arrived late, but the staff accommodated us nicely. Our room was ready and quite satisfactory. The area was quiet at night, so we slept well. No complimentary breakfast was offered, but a coffee maker and coffee were available in the room. Coffee was also available in the office. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The only drawback for us was parking. No spaces existed in front of our room, so we had to park in front of another room. The parking lot and motel layout were a bit of a rabbits' warren, but navigable.
James
Smooth check inn. Staff was friendly. Room was recently updated and clean. Would stay again
George
We have stayed at the Canyon several times now and have never been disappointed.
Glen
Clean, prompt service
Dawn
Clean room, staff very friendly, parking available at your room door. Indoor pool available. Short walk to restaurants, shops, drug store and grocery. The mattress was very firm but I still slept ok on it after walking around in the state park.
Sarah
The rooms were clean and up to date. We enjoyed the pool and sauna. I would stay here again.
karen
Canyon Motel was conveniently located and well maintained. We would stay here again if in the area.
Barbara
Clean and quiet. Lacking a table for eating in and only one chair for two occupants.

John
The staff were friendly. The room was spotless. Check in and out was easy.
Betty
Motored right up to our room, so easy. Everything was there for us almost like we were home.
Margaret
The room was spacious and clean! Awesome shower pressure! My only complaint was the e loudness of the heating system: kicks on for 2 minutes, off for 3 minutes, all night long. Front desk said some rooms are louder than others.
Tim

Staff was excellent. Room was clean. Very close to restaurants and other stores.
Having a portable handicap sign close to the room we were staying in. I did not request this so I do not know if you provide this service. Thank you for a nice stay.

Katherine
Delightful small motel with thoughtful amenities and caring staff. Our room was quite large, very quiet and right in the midst of this adorable town. Would definitely stay there again & recommend you give it a try.
Mary Jane
Lovely town!
Gerri
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Not our first time here and we will definitely return!
Edward
Mostly good
Room was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that the toilet sits very low....and senior citizens like me have trouble with that. It would also be nice to have a grab bar in the shower.
Fred
The unit was quite large and included a kitchenette. It would good for an extended stay.
Dave
Honeymoon suite was mediocre. Carpet was torn, room smelled like a cat had been there. The bed was about as comfortable as sleeping on the floor.
The shower head couldn’t be adjusted so being under 5’6” I got hit straight in the face. Jetted tub was nice. Overall bathroom was clean.
Room wasn’t quiet, could clearly hear others in hall way, at ice machine and some in their rooms.

Centrally located. Shopping and dining option within walking distance. Clean comfortable room. A bit larger than most places.
Brian
The staff was polite and courteous, and the rooms were clean. I couldn’t have asked for anything better, would stay there again.
Alex
It was clean, friendly and close to town, short drive to canyon.
Brian
Great check-in, very clean room, near some great restaurants
Bruce
I mistakenly booked a room with only one bed. Although the hotel was full the clerk managed to find a suite for us at no extra cost. She really saved our butt cause all the hotels in the area were filled

The Real Hidden Gem of Wellsboro
We chose Canyon Motel for it's proximity to the Wellsboro main street and affordability of amenities, and we were not disappointed. We were able to relax in the Jacuzzi in our room after a long day of hiking and walking, or take in some heat in the sauna which was located in the pool area. The pool was heated, but not too warm and not overly chlorinated, which we have found to be a problem in most hotels/motels. Speaking of problems in other hotels, there were a few small details that made a huge difference to us. There were plenty of towels for our 3 day stay, including pool towels. Also, it's always bothered us how small the trash cans in other hotels can be; the trash cans in our room were bigger than most other places we've stayed and had liners in them. Do you know how refreshing it is to not have to worry about overflowing the trash bin during a 3 night stay? The only small complaint we had was the Do Not Disturb card to hang on the door was very light and easily turned to Room Service Requested by accident. Our last morning there was interrupted by room service because of that. It wasn't a big deal, just something to think about. All in all, we will be recommending Canyon Motel to friends and family.
Joseph
We had a great time
Michelle
Excellent location. Cute, cabin feel in the room. The heater worked hard to keep the room warm, but it was comfortable.

Very nice and affordable hotel
Stayed 1 night for ice fishing event. Rooms were clean and roomy and the beds were very comfortable.
Sam
The best find in quite sometime
This is the perfect spot! Walking to downtown - Wellsboro diner was a not-greasy, delicious breakfast. Dunkin, Starbucks and local cafe all nearby. The room was super clean and the hall impeccable - no weird smells. While the parking lot may intimidate some with the tight space, it’s beautifully maintained (snow/ice melt) and there is actually plenty of room.
We booked the jacuzzi tub suite and there was all their room we needed, and everything was in working order.
We found the hotel to be quiet and comfortable to enjoy beyond just sleeping for the night. We used the pool and sauna - also both clean and well managed.
Stay here.

Great weekend getaway!
We loved the Canyon Motel! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to go in town and were a short drive from the Grand Canyon. Our room was very clean and cozy. It was unusually cold when we were there and were a little bit chilly the first night, but asked for another blanket the next day and were fine. Would highly recommend!
Amanda
Home away from home for sure
We keep coming back because we absolutely love it everytime. Its close enough to everything we like to be around, its clean, and the staff is so sweet and accommodating. Eleanor was beyond winderful helping us get settled in and was super sweet to my very talkative 3 yearold which is always appreciated.
Robert

It was near a great little town where we could walk to restaurants and feel safe walking at night.
The only downfall were the thin walls.

Property is close to Main St and walkable to several restaurants and shops. I didn’t like the bedside wall lamps, there is no way to turn on/off from the bed.

Expectations Exceeded in Wellsboro!
A very nice local motel in Wellsboro that was obviously remodeled and updated at a great price. Nothing fancy here, but really impressive for what we paid for it. I could tell the owners put some time, money and effort into making this as nice as possible, would recommend to others, and I would stay here again... definitely exceeded my expectations.
Vince

Very nice motel
We had a very nice stay at The Canyon motel. The room was clean, off the street so it was quiet and the pool was a very much enjoyable experience. The sauna bath was a plus! I recommend this motel to anyone who spends time in Wellsboro! My second time to Wellsboro and what a fine small town. I will return and definitely stay at the canyon motel.

You should do it
For being a straight-off-the-road motel in a small town I wasn’t expecting much but I was certainly surprised! It was well kept, orderly and pretty modern. The swimming pool and sauna were great as well.

It was extremely clean and within walking distance to shops and restaurants.
