My husband and I arrived late, but the staff accommodated us nicely. Our room was ready and quite satisfactory. The area was quiet at night, so we slept well. No complimentary breakfast was offered, but a coffee maker and coffee were available in the room. Coffee was also available in the office. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The only drawback for us was parking. No spaces existed in front of our room, so we had to park in front of another room. The parking lot and motel layout were a bit of a rabbits' warren, but navigable.

The Real Hidden Gem of Wellsboro
We chose Canyon Motel for it's proximity to the Wellsboro main street and affordability of amenities, and we were not disappointed. We were able to relax in the Jacuzzi in our room after a long day of hiking and walking, or take in some heat in the sauna which was located in the pool area. The pool was heated, but not too warm and not overly chlorinated, which we have found to be a problem in most hotels/motels. Speaking of problems in other hotels, there were a few small details that made a huge difference to us. There were plenty of towels for our 3 day stay, including pool towels. Also, it's always bothered us how small the trash cans in other hotels can be; the trash cans in our room were bigger than most other places we've stayed and had liners in them. Do you know how refreshing it is to not have to worry about overflowing the trash bin during a 3 night stay? The only small complaint we had was the Do Not Disturb card to hang on the door was very light and easily turned to Room Service Requested by accident. Our last morning there was interrupted by room service because of that. It wasn't a big deal, just something to think about. All in all, we will be recommending Canyon Motel to friends and family.

This is the perfect spot! Walking to downtown - Wellsboro diner was a not-greasy, delicious breakfast. Dunkin, Starbucks and local cafe all nearby. The room was super clean and the hall impeccable - no weird smells. While the parking lot may intimidate some with the tight space, it’s beautifully maintained (snow/ice melt) and there is actually plenty of room.
We booked the jacuzzi tub suite and there was all their room we needed, and everything was in working order.
We found the hotel to be quiet and comfortable to enjoy beyond just sleeping for the night. We used the pool and sauna - also both clean and well managed.

We loved the Canyon Motel! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to go in town and were a short drive from the Grand Canyon. Our room was very clean and cozy. It was unusually cold when we were there and were a little bit chilly the first night, but asked for another blanket the next day and were fine. Would highly recommend!

A very nice local motel in Wellsboro that was obviously remodeled and updated at a great price. Nothing fancy here, but really impressive for what we paid for it. Everything about this overnight stay was great: check-in, parking, room cleanliness & location. Little things like the makeup towel & abundance of pillows was a nice touch. The location was great & everything was in a walkable distance.
The ONLY gripe we had was that the walls were a little thin so it was easy to hear any loud people next door.
We are planning a trip in the spring and plan to stay here again.
The ONLY gripe we had was that the walls were a little thin so it was easy to hear any loud people next door.
We are planning a trip in the spring and plan to stay here again.

The Canyon Motel, which we've stayed at almost annually, is a very well-maintained, clean and reasonably priced motel. It's close to downtown Wellsboro shops and restaurants. Love it there.

This was the first time we had stayed at the Canyon Motel. We would stay there again in the future if we were visiting Wellsboro. Convient to the restaurants and shops on Main St.
