We have stayed here many times in the past. This time was abysmal- shower didn’t work, had to ask for most things at breakfast like jam,pots for jam, baguette, knives and the orange juice was warm - all this for nearly 12 euros per person. An absolute disgrace. Stayed the next night in a Best Western, breakfast under 11 euros and everything spotless.

bad start to holiday

we went to the south of france on holiday and stayed at the campoile vierzon on our first night of holiday . we checked in and went to the restaurant for a meal had our starters from the buffet table and ordered main meal we then waited for 1 1/2 hours a nd left hungry and dissapointed after complaining . not a good start to our holiday

Have stayed here a number of times before and for the money it's always seemed good value. We had a ground floor room and for reasons not entirely clear to us, the bathroom is now a wet room. Having
a shower renders the room unusable for the next person as there are puddles of water everywhere. Even going to the toilet means stripping off all your clothes! All a bit absurd.

Good little motel type overnight stop . Very clean , tea/ coffee making facilities not often found in France . Two minutes off the motorway so great if like me you are heading South / or back North .

Acceptably minimum facilities in the room, but clean and fairly comfortable. Booked hotel as they accept dogs - but it turned out, not in the restaurant. Had to go to the Buffalo Grill, a short distance away to eat.

After a long journey starting with an 8.30am ferry from Poole to Cherbourg,my wife and I were ready for a meal a drink and a goodnights rest.
We got this and more,with a really upbeat hostess who spoke great English and was helpful and friendly.All the staff were very good.

Basic fairly priced overnight stay.

On the plus side, the hotel was easy to find, had good parking, good wifi signal and a good welcome. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but he breakfast in the morning was more than satisfactory.
This was the first time that we have stayed in a Campanile so didn't know what to expect, it was more basic than whee we usually stay but we thought it worth a try as the price was so attractive. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean, with tea and coffee making facilities but a bit too noisy as the sounds from other guests did travel, we were put in mind of the Butlins' Chalets of the 1970s.
Don't be put off, it was good value for what we paid but I don't think that we will stay there again.

We booked a Campanile because it has a restaurant. But on arrival we were told that a bus was arriving and therefore they could not give us dinner. We had to walk (uphill) about half a kilometre to a Buffalo Grill which, had it been raining, would have been out of the question. I am suffering with sciatica and we specifically wanted a hotel with a restaurant. Next door was a Premier Classe, cheaper room and a cheaper breakfast (9.90 euros each at the Campanile!). I'll book somewhere else next time.

Perfect overnight stop on a run through France. Just a few minutes from main route, just south of Orleans. Pleasant, helpful staff. Clean rooms of a consistent, perfectly adequate functional, size w desk+light and TV. Over bath shower space not brilliant but ok if of average build. Extra pillows provided. Extra blankets upon request in summer. Hair dryer available upon request at reception.
Good buffet style restaurant, not gourmet but of reasonable standard for travelling type supper or breakfast. Breakfast, as usual bit overpriced (was 9€ when we last had breakfast) but very good selection.
Can arrive in the early hours by prior arrangement. All went very smoothly when we arrived at 03.30 but definitely need to call ahead as no-one in reception (in restaurant area) but caretaker emerged from elsewhere to show us to our room.
Pets of medium size accepted at small extra charge.
*Bring your own pet bed.
We live near Toulouse and make this a regular stop over on a speedy drive through France to uk or back the other way.

Interesting night was had by all!!

A lovely comfortable night was had by all. The only downside was that the keycards opened all the rooms. Strangers let themselves into one of our rooms by error and our cards opened each others rooms too. Wish I'd known before I left my ereaders and laptop in the room. Fortunately nothing went missing but it could have.

We stopped here on route from Carcosonne to Calais so about halfway. It was fine as a stopover but nothing more. Food expensive in restaurant so went to McDonalds which was fine for a one off. Paid 10 euro each for Breakfast and was excellent choices and value for money especially if you had a large appetite.

There is no wifi in the rooms despite being advertised as such, only available in public areas. We had a disabled room, bathroom was very good in fact it was a wet room. The hairdryer was useless. The positioning of the hairdryer in the bathroom was a real problem as it was virtually impossible to use the Mirrow & dry your hair. Why not have the hairdryer in the main room where there is a full length mirror.

New modern Motel. Ideal stopover location. Limited places to eat nearby, but a few open late if needed. Helpful staff, rooms basic but ideal for a stopover, clean, bright, modern and overlooking quiet woodland.

Hotel ok but don't rely on a meal

Arrived at hotel after long drive to be told restaurant is full with coach party. The primary reason for choosing a Campanile is their on site restaurant. To then have to get back into your car and trawl around an unfamiliar place, in the dark to find an evening meal I find totally unacceptable. I won't book a Campanile again.

This Campanile has been re furbished. The room was excellent - only thing missing was a hairdryer!
The restaurant however lacked anbience and the evening meal was pretty basic as was breakfast. We have been using Campanile for our trips to France for at least 10 years. The quality of the rooms has improved vastly but the food has gone the otherway. However for a nights stop over it was good value.

Easy to find on a journey to the South of France .Staff helpful and efficient.Parking was good.Only slight complaint was the food, I had the Plat de Jour which was not good (stewed chicken and rice).Buffet looked much better and I should have had that.Will stay there agin but would look for another place to eat or eat before arriving.

We stayed overnight on the way south. The hotel is more of a motel than a hotel, the room was quite basic. It is situated close to the motorway on the edge of Vierzon around 2-3 Km rom the town centre. Vierzon is a small town with few amenities. The breakfast was OK and probably reasonable value for money compared with elsewhere. There was no hot water for showers.

We downrated the condition of the hotel because it was in the middle of refurbishment., and a number of things were incomplete, ie no kettle in room and no facility for placing soap, shampoo, etc in the shower. However, shower was excellent and a good move in place of usual bath. Lounge bar area was in complete with furniture still to be located.

Where are the Camanile \"newly renovated\" hotels?

I stayed here on route to the Uk. On arrival, there was only one person on reception. Unfortunately the phone kept ringing so she couldn't book me in.
when I finally got access to it my room was shabby , much in need of a make over and dirty. I went to dinner to find the receptionist was also the \"Meet and greet\", the bar person, waitress and finally the cashier. The hors d'oerves buffet , which in Campanile is usually fresh and varied, was a display of dried up meats a few salads and only enough salad leaves for one person. It obviously hadn't been replenished since lunch (charitable) more likely the night before. My room was cold on return from dinner and there was a sign saying that extra bedding could be obtained from the \"office\". I hadn't the heart to return to reception and give the poor women working here soxs off another job of \"housekeeper\". So I slept with the heater on as the temp was down to zero. There was a leaflet in the room (as there has been in previce hotels in the chain) informing of major make overs. I just wish i knew where they were! Perhaps their web site could highlight them.

Campinille Vierzon, close to the autoroute

the best part about the hotel was the restaurant which served excellent food out ona lovely terrace. The bedroom was tiny and what was supposed to be a triple comfort was a small bed on wheels under the main bed which when pulled out took up any avaliable space. The bathroom was not clean! The pictures on the site were very misleaeding. Breakfast was expensive at 9 euros. I would not stay again.

The hotel is convenient to motorway access and a few minutes from the centre of Vierzon. The situation is relatively quiet and parking adjacent to the rooms. The town has a number of restaurants and the central area has nice riverside walks. This hotel is well placed for an overnight stop.

Nuit du 4 au 5/01/ -3° dehors 11,7° à l'intérieur clim en panne que de l'air froid, on m'a apporté un radiateur type grille pain...pas d'eau chaude on m'a répondu qu'il fallait faire couler le robinet pendant 15', chasse des WC qui reste bloquée, lampe de liseuse morte. A l'accueil on m'a dit que l'hôtel était en rénovation, normal ? non...bravo !!!
Campanile n'est plus ce que c'était...à oublier définitivement.

Nous sommes arrivés au campanile. Nous nous sommes inscrits. On a demandé pour manger le soir ! Hé bien non ceux qui voyagent le week-end n'ont pas le droit de manger car la cuisine est fermée ! C'est inadmissible, je n'ai jamais vu ça depuis que je voyage avec hotel.com ! La literie est ancienne car il y avait un trou vers le milieu du lit. Sinon au niveau nettoyage cetait propre et il y avait une odeur de frais dans la chambre.

Réservation en ligne et payée mais en arrivant la réceptionniste n'avait ni notre nom, ni notre Réservation.
Pas de chambre disponible mais elle a été adorable car on a pu avoir une chambre mais avec une chasse d'eau qui fuit toute la nuit.
Elle nous a offert le petit déjeuner.
Je la remercie de tout coeur.
