A really nice centrally located hotel, easy walking distance to restaurants and the castle, also ideal if you’re looking to drive the famous “Nordshliefe” track.
Friendly staff keep this classic German hotel clean and tidy and whilst it is without frills the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are great and the fridge in the room is a nice touch.
Plenty of parking and a thoroughly enjoyable stay, I will definitely be returning.

The site stated laundry is available and that was not true. Staff English is very limited. The area has a bar that is open all night noise is very high and windows are not sound proof. Could not sleep until 3 am. Breakfast is ok coffee is terrible and not available in room. Overall is basic amenities and service.

The stay at this hotel was overall good. It was found to be clean, warm and comfortable. The owner and staff were all very friendly too. The breakfast was good, but improvements could be made; a better selection of cooked food should be considered.
The biggest disappointment however, was the fact that for a €110 room, there were no tea and coffee making facilities. This improvement opportunity was passed on to the owner who was receptive to the request, so hopefully, these facilities will be provided in the future.

This is a perfect place to stay if you're visiting the Nürburgring, or any other attraction in the area. It is ideally located for visiting the track, the castle, and any of the race car rentals shops in the Nürburg area. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast included with the room is amazing. Some things to keep in mind: the hotel is divided into several guest houses, and not all are the same. As such, things like beds, showers, TVs, refrigerators, windows, balconies, etc. vary a lot from room to room. The main building including the restaurant and breakfast room felt older, while the other buildings felt newer. Typical of European hotels, don't expect air conditioning, window screens, or a fan, so in the summer months you might have to compromise between being hot or having bugs in your room. Even leaving the windows wide open, we were still really hot since there isn't a fan and the cool night air just doesn't seem to circulate inside. Bedding is also hot, heavy blankets. Some other oddball quirks included a glass bathroom door that you can see right through; not ideal if you're doing something in there that requires privacy! It feels like an old-world hotel with a few nice modern updates. If you want to feel like you live in Nürburg and are having an authentic experience, it's a great place. If you feel most at home in chain hotels with every modern amenity, especially climate control, you might want to look elsewhere.

Fantastic location with free parking.....minutes for Nordschleife entrance. Minutes from Nurburgring castle. Lots of great restaurants near by and great views. Hotel staff friendly. The hotel was very clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom was large size, modern and very clean. Included complimentary buffet breakfast with large variety of foods. We will definitely stay here again.

Walking distance to the Nurburgring

Perfect position for visiting the Nurburgring museum and grandstand area although we did drive to the start point for the taxi drive round the track. I think breakfast could have been better. Dinner menu was uncomplicated and acceptable. Other eating options within walking distance. Driving/racing memorabilia everywhere and so a real haven for petrolheads. Easy parking on site and sight of a small portion of track from our Nikki Lauda bedroom!

A Minute from the Nurburgring

Emailed ahead to warn of a late arrival, the reply was, are you hungry? She kept the kitchen open to make us wiener schnitzel! It stays lighter longer in Germany so we were eating dinner on the patio at sunset. Couldnt have been more accomodating. Speaks English and the hotel is very charming especially for a petrol head. Room was clean, shower was great bed was comfortable price was fantastic. I would recommend a fan of some type, a little warm but I am being picky. Most hotels dont have A/C in Germany from what I experienced. You must stay here! Very good breakfast. The giant picture over the bed was the carousal on nordschleife.

Complete, comfortable spacious motorsports-themed.

Very charming hotel and room. Here, \"charming\" is not a euphemism for \"... but needs xyz\". It really is just charming -- architecture, location, fell.

Very easy to arrive, use and feel at home. The room was outstanding, and immediately puts you in the motorsports mood (I won't say how so as not to ruin the surprise).

Compared to the expensive room I had stayed in the night prior in Amsterdam, this one was many levels above. Very clean across the board; big space, both in the bedroom and the bathroom; very functional, modern, useful bathroom. Good shower, good water flow.

Having booked this semi-blind, I couldn't believe, when I woke up the next morning, how _close_ it was to the center of Nurburgring action. The track car I rented was from a place a few meters away, and the entrance to the Nordshleife was barely 2 minutes away by car.

Breakfast was good and, as importantly, very complete for all tastes: two style of eggs; sausages; two types of juices; coffees and teas; fruits, cheeses, cold meats, cereals, etc....

I loved the area so much, I wanted to extend my stay one night, but unfortunately they were fully booked I understand why, I would book again for my next Nurburgring trip.

Upon arriving, the staff greeted us with warm welcomes and being the last group to check in that day, they were able to bring us to the room right away. There is no actual front desk, but there was almost no need when the staff was right there to help us. Our room was very spacious and I liked how they had big pillows for the beds. The breakfast spread was also very nice, and the staff was nice enough to wait for us to finish even though we took our time that morning. It felt very homey.

A flying visit, wish it could have been longer

A visit to the circuit was the priority and an overnight location nearby was secondary. However this changed slightly once we reached to hotel for it is located in a delightful village within walking distance of the circuit. The accommodation and hospitality was excellent, the only downfall was that there was no evening meal available that night. But, a short walk later took us into the central area where other hotels were providing excellent meals at reasonable prices. Naturally this area is full of motorsport history and should one return to attend a race meeting there, this is the hotel where we would book our accommodation prior to booking tickets for the race meeting.

Fantastic Hotel for the Nurburgring

Had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Zur Burg Hotel. Superb location. Plenty of parking plus garages for motorbikes. Hotel restaurant is great but breakfasts were disappointing and not up to the usual high German standards. Rooms are mega clean and the beds comfy enough but bring your own pillow if you want a good nights sleep because German pillows are rubbish. They look great, but like a bag of Walkers crisps on closer inspection it's mostly filled with air!! Would I stay here again? Yes absolutely. In fact I'm probably heading back to the Nurburgring later this yr and will try to book this hotel.

I stayed at Hotel Zur Burg 14th Nov to 16th Nov 2013. the Hotel is very near to the Nurburgring BTG track entrance, also just next to those Track car rental company very connivence. Because i stayed during Winter, the whole hotel only got 2 guest, thus the breakfast wasnt great. just a simple breakfast was served. internet was good, room is very clean. There are some nice resturant nearby. getting to the area can be costly by taxi.

Great hotel for staying at the Nurburgring

Old school family run hotel a few hundred meters from the Nurburgring and nordschlife.

Very nice staff, breakfast was a good buffet and they call your room if you are about to miss it!

Good price, good bed, great to sleep, no amenities to speak of but for race spectators and drivers that shouldn't matter too much. I will definitely stay here on my next visit. Price is right as well.

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Zur Burg and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We needed to stay an extra night and the Hotel management were very obliging. The room was nice and set up for the car racing enthusiast, with a view of the Nurburgring from our window we were very happy. The bedding was so fresh and smelt great. We would be happy for a return visit in the future.

Old but cozy hotel right between the Nurburging GP complex and the Touristenfahrten.
The hotel and rooms are like a time capsule from the 70’s throughout the 90’s. It has charm, but lacks some creature comforts that you’ll find in most other hotels.
The beds are quite hard and the pillows have no support. Very warm with no A/C during the heat wave. Free parking, which is a plus.

Sehr schönes Hotel für Motorsportbegeisterte. Saubere Zimmer , mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Gutes Frühstück, freundliches Personal. Unser Zimmer hatte sogar einen Balkon, mit Blick auf die Nordschleife👍👍👍
Manchmal wurden wir mit kernigem V8-Sound geweckt, obwohl wir lieber noch ein Stündchen geschlafen hätten, aber kein Problem. War sehr cool.

Bien placé pour l’accès à la Nordschleife, la partie des chambres a été bien refaite, même si les douches auraient pu être plus spacieuses pour les chambres à deux lits ! Pas d’ascenseur. La partie restaurant est restée dans son jus, bien plus ancien. Petit déjeuner moyen, pas de restaurant ouvert à mon passage ! L’endroit est calme, jusqu’au départ des sessions du matin que l’on entend bien !

Stora huset har nyrenoverade, rymliga och trevliga rum. Dock såg jag ingen hiss, trots fyra våningar. Receptionen i lilla huset, inrymmer frukostmatsalen och kvällstid även restaurang. Bra frukost och helt ok mat. Pris inkl frukost i nivå med övriga hotell. Ett bra val… rekommenderas!

Great for a weekend at the Nordschleife. Close to the entrance of the ring, yet in the village with good dining opportunities in the evening. No car for the track? Then rent across the street or go up to the castle and have a look at the surroundings. Was here in November and room was a bit chilly so have to remember to turn on the radiators. Except for that great room, with warm shower and view over the track from the balcony. Also good breakfast.

Lage direkt unter der Burg und auch fußläufig zur Rennstrecke.
Wecker braucht man nicht. Es klingt schon freundlich durchs Fenster, die Motorengeräusche :)
Frühstücksbüffet ist gut.

„Hotel“ kann ich nicht sagen, erinnert eher an ein umgebautes Landhaus.
Der Stil ca 50er Jahre. Das Zimmer war leider alles andere als sauber, Wollmäuse auf dem Boden, das Regal im Bad fiel sofort von der Wandhalterung als man sein Deo darauf abgestellt hatte, die Duschkabine war defekt und der Schlauch der Handbrause nicht richtig angeschlossen. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr mager. Das einzig positive war das freundliche Personal. Für den Preis leider zu viele Mängel, auch die drei Sterne sind hier eher fehl am Platz.
Sehr Schade, hätte gerne eine bessere Bewertung gegeben.
