Room had a decent size, but decoration and amenities fell short.
The restaurant at the hotel allowed dogs in the internal area, which brings some serious concerns regarding higiene.
The hotel is located far away from any restaurants and the one at the hotel has limited options.
Having your own car is a must.

A peaceful and relaxing stay

A peaceful and relaxing stay close to nature – with easy access to Nuremberg

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel NH Forsthaus Nürnberg, where comfort, nature, and great service came together perfectly. The hotel is peacefully located right next to the forest – ideal for walks or a morning run – yet just a short drive from the city center of Nuremberg.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern, with comfortable beds and everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering fresh fruit, bread, eggs, and local specialties – and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our stay.

The pool and wellness area was a great bonus. It’s not huge, but it’s well-maintained and cozy – and after a day of sightseeing, the sauna was the perfect place to unwind.

All in all, a really great hotel that we warmly recommend – especially if you want peace and nature around you, without being far from the city.

We stayed at this hotel during the Christmas season. We were going to Nuremberg for the Christmas Markets, however we really wanted a hotel outside the centre. I think that we made the best decision when we opted for this hotel. It is right next to a park and once you arrive, it feels like there is nothing else except this hotel and the park around it. The Christmas decorations outside the hotel and in the reception area added to the touch of sparkle in this place. The lady at the reception welcomed us and helped us in our queries on our arrival. The room was both comfortable and clean. Breakfast offered a wide selection to your liking. I would also like to mention that there is enough parking space in front of the hotel. I only wish I could have stayed longer or at least I could be there once again in my lifetime. We are very satisfied that we have chosen this property for our short stay in this area and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone reading this review.

The main point has to be the staff. All go the extra mile to accommodate a Truely International guest list.
When you go, understand this property is in a residential neighborhood next to a park area. If you are wanting an urban experience, this not for you. Calm and relaxed it is.

We stayed at the junior suite and the room was beyond our expectations. The highlight was the balcony area, which consists of dining lounge and sunbathing chairs. The breakfast buffet was splendid. The staffs are friendly. We will come again to spend another long weekend here. Highly recommended for family with small children.

Nice one night stay. Nice family room with balcony. Couldn’t eat in restaurant in the evening. There was a wedding on and no room for us hotel guests. The pool was too chilly for us too. Otherwise everything was ok.

I have no idea how this place has good reviews. The room is small, I booked a queen bed and got a double bed. The wellness area smells like sewer and there’s kids in the steam bath. People wear swim suits in the sauna. The restaurant is expensive and very average. The service was terrible in the restaurant. There’s wild boars for some reason in the hiking area by the hotel that smell so bad.

Lovely stay

Very quaint and lovely property. Location is a bit outside of town but still easy access to town. Hotel is situated in a forest, could not explore since it was rainy/snowy but very beautiful and peaceful. Rooms are nice and clean, beds comfortable. Lobby has a cool vibe. Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly. There is a pool/spa and it looked very nice. A bit costly but I believe there was a toy convention in town so rooms in town were limited. Regardless, would stay here again!

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Leider gab es trotz von uns bezahltem Upgrade auf ein Comfort Zimmer für 3 Personen (zwei Erwachsene, ein Kind) lediglich eine Espressomaschine, in der noch die leeren Kapseln vom Vorgänger drin waren. Deshalb lief leider auch das Wasser raus. Dazu zwei Espresso Tassen und 4 Kapseln (nur Zucker, keine Milch). Einen Wasserkocher oder Teebeutel gab es nur auf Nachfrage, ebenso die versprochene Wasserflasche musste man erfragen.
Keine Minibar auf dem Zimmer.
Für 4 Sterne Superior Hotel mit einem entsprechenden Zimmerpreis für diese Kategorie hätten wir uns etwas mehr erwartet.
Die Preise im Restaurant und in der Bar waren aus unserer Sicht überteuert. Das ist aber natürlich unsere subjektive Meinung und man muss dort ja nichts konsumieren.
Das Hotel sowie der Pool waren sonst sehr gepflegt und die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wellness Bereich leider nicht so gemütlich, weil sehr laut wegen dem Pool daneben.

Alles wirklich sehr angenehm, netter Empfang, sehr schöne Einrichtung, sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück. Einziger Punkt, der uns aufgefallen ist, wenn drei Personen im Zimmer gebucht sind, wäre es klasse, hier auch ein Handtuch und Bademantel gleich I'm Zimmer zu finden...

Ikke pengene værd!

Tydeligvis overlever de på udseende og beliggenhed for serviceniveauet var ringe og slet ikke hvad jeg havde forventet.
Restaurantens personale kunne ikke engelsk, til nøds tysk, men mestrede dog deres østeuropæiske modersmål til fulde. Service var der dog ikke meget af.

Der Parkplatz ist sehr geräumig. Das Essen und die Getränke im Restaurant waren sehr lecker. Falls man im Sommer draußen sitzt sollte man sich logischerweise gegen Mücken wappnen. Das Badezimmer im Allgemeinen und die Dusche ist sehr klein. Es war alles super sauber. Die gesamte Einrichtung der Anlage ist sehr hübsch!

Vieles perfekt – Naturoffenheit + Ruhe steigern!

Sowohl das Personal als auch der Zustand des Hotels sind absolut zu loben. Das Zimmer war ruhig, sehr sauber und gut klimatisiert, einzig ein Kühlschrank fehlte. Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend, der umgebende Wald naturnah und abwechslungsreich. Was mir gefehlt hat, ist die Naturoffenheit des Hotels, sprich Balkone an den Zimmern und ein Außenliegebereich bei Sauna und Pool. Auch im Wellness- und Fitnessinnenbereich fehlte es mir an Frischluft und einer Ruhezone. Das Hotel wird aufgrund der Nähe zum Playmobilfunpark verstärkt von Familien mit kleineren Kindern genutzt, was natürlicherweise eine gewisse Unruhe mit sich bringt. Hier wären eine bessere Schallisolierung des Saunabereichs und ein vom Pool entfernterer Ruhebereich für Gäste mit Entspannungsbedürfnis wichtig. Ich möchte nicht missverstanden werden: Ich mag Kinder von ganzem Herzen und halte es für notwendig, dass sie sich in einem Pool ausleben können. Es ist unrealistisch, aber auch respektlos den Kleinen / Jugendlichen gegenüber, sie hier auszubremsen und Stille einzufordern. Aber andererseits sollte den Ruhebedürftigen ein Rückzugsbereich zur Verfügung stehen. Hierfür könnte das Flachdach des Pool- und Wellnessbereichs genutzt werden. Würde man hier eine Außenliegezone und einen ruhigen Innenliegebereich schaffen, wäre das ein Gewinn für den gesamten Wellnesstrakt.
Wunderbar waren übrigens unsere lauen Sommerabende, die wir mit Kartenspielen auf der großen Restaurantterrasse verbrachten.

Wir waren bereits 2 mal da nun das 3. mal. Wir hatten angeblich vergessen, unsere Tochter (2 Jahre alt) einzuchecken und mussten um 20 Uhr ein 2. Zimmer dazu buchen, was ich erst nicht wollte. Daraufhin wurde unser Auto durchsucht bzw. observiert, ob ich denn auch nachts wirklich darin schlafe. Der Rezeptionschef hat wohl einen schlechten Tag gehabt ... mein Beileid. Essen für das was man bekommt ein wenig überteuert , Ansonsten ein schönes Hotel.

Das Hotel liegt schön und ruhig im Wald, der Pool jnd Saunabereich ist toll gestaltet.
Negativ war jedoch die Zimmerreinigung. Es schien nach jeder Reinigung so, als hätte die ausführende Person keine Lust gehabt, den Job richtif auszuführen. An jedem Tag hat etwas anderes gefehlt oder war nicht richtig gemacht. Mal fehlten die Handtücher, mal das Toilettenpapier, an einem anderen Tag wurde uns dke Klimaanlage ausgeschlatet, sodass die Luft bei Rückkehr ins Zimmer unerträglich war (bei 34 Grad Außentemperater).

Impeccable pour un week-end

Un hôtel magnifique blotti au milieu d'un petit bois. La décoration est très jolie, sobre et classe (ce qui est rare en Allemagne !). Le service est de bonne qualité (le barman était très sympa), l'espace détente est très agréable (le sauna est bien chaud) mais il mériterait d'être nettoyé plus souvent. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est bon, l'hôtel est l'option idéale pour atteindre facilement le marché de Noël de Nuremberg.

Flot og hyggeligt hotel. God morgenmad og god plads i familieværelse. Vi ankom en time inden tjek-ind, og det håndterede personalet dårligt. Det er selvfølgelig helt i orden at man først kan få sit værelse til den givne tid, men at føle sig “uvelkommen” er ikke ok.

Geweldig hotel! Mooi ingericht, van alle gemakken voorzien en honden zijn meer dan welkom. Op de kamer lagen bakken, kleedjes en wat te snoepen voor de hond. De ligging in het bos is ook geweldig. Meerdere wandelingen mogelijk, heerlijk! En de minibar was in de prijs van de hotelkamer inbegrepen. Een aanrader en voor ons een hotel om zeker nog eens terug te keren!

Virkelig dejligt hotel med serviceminded personale

Rigtig lækkert hotel!
Rigtig fin service.
Fine værelser og fællesarealer.
Vejen til værelset var mærkelig lang.
Man skulle op på 1. Salen via trappen eller én elevator, og videre fra 1. Sal til 3. Sal vis en anden elevator som befandt sig et helt andet sted.
Lækker pool, og ikke overfyldt, selvom hotellet virkede velbesøgt.
(Fra kl 9-10 på en mandag i august var vi de eneste to der benyttede poolen).
Hotellet ligger ikke centralt, men til gengæld i naturskønne omgivelser.
Prisen er over hvad vi normalt booker, og omend morgenmaden var lækker og med stort udvalg, så var det et dyrt tilkøb.
Og så var brusekabinen på værelset ret lille.

Sadly, the rooms weren't ready whe we arrived and we had to wait 45 minutes for them to be. We also were there at 1 pm, and asked if they are already available. So I don't get, why the stuff hasn't prepared them. Overall a pleasant experience, nice pool and amenities. Food is on a good level. However, there were mice on the outside area, what wasn't really pleasant.
