Lovely hotel! Pool is doesn’t seem to be heated so it was a tad of a shock. It’s a little far out of the town (but depends if that’s what you want!) walkable into town. Plenty of drinking and dining choices around- but make a reservation if you want a guaranteed restaurant.

Amazing and well maintained property in a quieter part of Saint Raphael, yet very close (in walking distance) to the energy filled and fun central Saint Raphael. Very friendly, competent and helpful staff (someone is always available at reception), lots of dining options (express breakfast until 11AM in the bar/pool area of the hotel is very handy and convenient), and a municipal parking in front of the property provides additional convenience. A very clean and well maintained hotel. A great experience overall, we certainly will be back.

It is by the marina a good 20 min walk from town centre and sandy beach . I was travelling by train . Taxis scarce at train station so a 25 min walk to hotel. To secure a return taxi had to be booked the day before.

First class marina hotel.

One of the best Best Westerns that I've stayed at! Nice, clean, well appointed two storey hotel, based around a good sized swimming pool. Decent sized bedrooms with excellent air conditioning (it was 30+ degrees during our stay) and balcony. Good bathroom/shower etc.
Parking immediately outside the hotel - payable by the hour or a daily rate of €10 - which is good for this part of France. Very varied selection of quality restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk, alongside the boat marina. The town centre of Saint-Raphael is about 15 - 20 minute walk. All in all a really good hotel, with good facilities, helpful friendly staff and a great location.

The hotel is located beside the marina with excellent restaurants nearby. The hotel pool is fabulous with sunbeds for everyone. You are not allowed to leave towels on the beds so it is easy to find one even during the day. Overall a great place to stay.

Very nice close to the water but not a beach. Used the pool extensively as it was very unusually hot. Only issue was the air conditioning in the room even at the lowest setting generated cool air but the fan circulation was very low. Room was not much cooler than the hallways or front entrance which has the front door and restaurant door opened to the very warm outside.

Good base slightly outside St Raphael

We stayed at La Marina for 1 week in early Sept. The hotel is located appox 20 mins walk from the main beaches and 30 mins from the centre of town (a further 15-20 mins takes you into Frejus). There are bars, restaurants and a decent Spar supermarket a couple of mins from the hotel.

The gym is larger than usual for a hotel. The pool area was clean and quiet, although the sunbeds were not too comfortable (same style as on the beach, but the beach ones have a nice thick cushion.....although on the beach 2 beds and a parasol cost €35!). The room and bathroom were not large but perfectly adequate and the bed was very comfortable. The aircon was good and the room was quiet at night.

Hotel breakfast cost €16 each, but there are several other options for breakfast nearby. We only ate in the restaurant once and it was crowded (we were booked in for 20.00 but then asked to wait in bar for 15 mins) and understaffed and the food was average. To be fair, we ate there due to heavy rain outside so this may have been why it was so full. Service at the bar was also generally slow.

Overall, the hotel was very pleasant and a good place to stay if you want to be slightly out of town but right next to sea (marina).

Lovely modern hotel ,smaller than expected but all staff extremely friendly in every area of hotel .Decor and rooms always immaculate. Desk staff and management very informative of local area .Nothing too much trouble to them.
It's best selling point for us was that within less than five minutes stroll there was a lovely little promenade around a Marina lined with an impressive selection of lovely restaurants.Most had daily specials to suit all tastes. Our favourites being the fish and sea food restaurants. Also little breakfast cafes had choices from €3 to €5 which were excellent value .Wonderful fruit stalls and fresh paella,bouillabaisse being bought by locals.
Fifteen minute walk to beautiful St. Raphael .Lots more hotels and restaurants but honestly not as good as at the Marina.

This hotel is great. Lovely room with balcony, tea making facilities, air con that works and lovely comfortable bed. The bathroom is fresh and clean. Lovely swimming pool and sun loungers with umbrellas. The pool bar is great and offers cocktails, drinks and good food. The staff are attentive and friendly. Car parking underground for a small fee, or public parking right outside. The location is great, right by the harbour, with lots of lovely bars and restaurants within a 2 minute stroll. It really doesn't get any better.

Clean room and bathroom, big bed, seems quite recent renovation, good and quiet location with instant access to port, beach and restaurants, the quality of staffs are varied though with some friendly and one or two being rude. Good swimming pool, not many hotels near port has swimming pool, which is a plus. No complementary water in room, sell euro 5 per bottle if request drinking water.

Lovely hotel, tucked away in a pretty marina

This was our first visit to St.Raphael. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. (Expedia had sent them incorrect room reservations re. Type of rooms that I'd requested, and whilst Im sure they didn't need to, they honoured what I had on my booking confirmation.)
We had two first floor rooms with lovely views over the pool and marina.

The hotel is not overly large which gave it a more intimate feel, which we liked, and it's all in very nice condition. Clean, recently painted, modern and breakfast was a buffet of hot and cold food, fresh breads and patisseries.

The hotel is situated about a 10-15 mins walk from St.Raphael centre,a beautiful town, but if you don't wish to walk into the centre there are a number of little shops and restaurants by the Santa Lucia marina.
A very pleasant stay and we will definitely return.

Overall a great holiday, lovely hotel, room excellent, staff very helpful, location great, lots of restaurants nearby, snack bars and a spar supermarket, only 15/20 minute walk into St Raephel, and another 10 minutets to Frejus, both worth a visit, as is the boat to St tropez.
Prices for drinks and meals very reasonable and most of the restaurants offer deals, 3 courses for 20 euros, and there not small portions.

My sister and I had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western La Marina at the beginning of Dec 2014. The staff werw pleasant and polite. Breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable with a partial view of the Marina. We did not eat in the hotel through no fault of theirs and although the buffet was free. There are just too many lovely places to choose to eat, even at this time of year. Enjoyed our stay so much, that we will return in April 2015.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good outdoor pool. Room (with ground floor terrace facing pool) was fine, but a bit small. Terrace is private but has no view. 15 minute walk to nearest sandy beach (and a further 5 minutes to town) gets a bit tedious after a while. Buses do exist but are infrequent. Electric car available for hire. Wide selection of restaurants (some very good) close by. Lots of expensive boats to gaze at. Strongly recommend the hotel if you are OK with the location.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is nice, by the marina where there are lots of bars and restaurants. The rooms were well equipped and clean. The pool was great with the hotel providing free towels for use by the pool. The distance to the main beach was about 17 mins by foot and to the town about 20 mins. This was a nice walk past the marina and along the seafront, but if you are older it is quite a way in the heat. I think I had seen this advertised as 10 mins. There is a bus that you can catch which takes 3 mins. There is a fridge in the room and a Spar nearby so handing to stock up on cold drinks. There are two lovely boulangeries near by so we had breakfast there, which was delicious. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I have been to St. Raphael 3/4 times previously, this was the best stay I had by far. Hotel, pool and facilities all exceptional. We were on our honeymoon and the reception staff went out of their way to make it extra special. Special mention has to go to the barman Edward - he was a credit to the company and made our special vacation even better with his attentiveness and kindness. 10/10 stay.

Spent 9 days here at the end of June. Nice clean hotel with good pool & plenty of decent restaurants & a spar supermarket nearby. Walk into town takes 10 -15 mins but it's along a lovely promenade. Would we go back? Definitely if we were visiting this area again. As with all the Best Western hotels we have stayed at they are all clean & unfussy. Oh nearly forgot to mention, there is free parking between the shops / restaurants & the marine club about 5 mins walk away into town so save yourself a small fortune in parking costs.

A bit past the downtown and the beaches but right on the marina. Rooms were clean and comfortable, service was good. Note many of the rooms are on the ground floor. Great gym facility too. The highlight was really the AMAZING restaurant, which was not only delicious but comparable to the prices in the touristy and expensive downtown. Even if you're not staying here, worth the trek over to the restaurant.

Hotel was very nice and in a good position right on the marina. Didn't use the hotel for meals though as expensive. A very short walk to the marina and there is a choice of over 30 restaurants and cafés. We were there in May so parking was free in and around St Raphael. Parking charges start in June - this would have been very expensive. Weather hot but hotel hadn't put air con on so room very uncomfortable. Pool nice but ingested

Our room was overlooking the adjacent car park (free parking from 30 Sep until 1 June !!) and coastal road, which starts making noises from 5 am if you prefer to sleep with the window open. Well located on the marina, with shops and restaurants within a two minute walk. Very clean and newly refurbished, with excellent, helpful staff. Only things to bear in mind is that out of season there is no air conditioning, and the pool is empty....which was disappointing. Best rooms are the ones with marina view. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable hotel which has clearly been recently renovated which was a Big Plus Point for us. The pool area is especially impressive if you just want to relax and chill out. Although located 15-20 minutes walk from the town centre there are plenty of local restaurants nearby as well as a local bakery and supermarket for those self-catered breakfasts and lunches! Good local bus service from nearby the hotel running into St Raphael Train and Bus Station and on to Frejus, which is also a great place to visit. The bus costs 1.10 Euros and you can make any onward connection within one hour with the same ticket. Pay the driver on the bus.
For us, the only disappointment with the hotel was the expensive Breakfast ....15 euros person. We can't eat 15 euros worth of food at breakfast time !!!

The hotel is set close to the marina with a good supply of value for money restaurants for lunch or dinner close by. It's a moderate/long walk through the park from St Raphael but you avoid the crowds associated with the more mass market Frejus end.

Wonderful Holiday Base!

I have stayed at La Marina on 4 previous occasions, always finding the Hotel to be 'satisfactory' to 'good'. It was evident on this occasion that the facilities had been upgraded, making our stay the most enjoyable to date. The staff, occasionally diffident in the past, were friendly and very helpful during this stay! We ate in the restaurant more frequently than on previous visits, and the meals were excellent, as were the breakfasts.

On one occasion the room had not been made up when we returned in the evening but this was quickly remedied. On other occasions there were minor omissions, towels were not replaced, and complimentary teas and coffee making items had not been replaced. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will definitely book La Marina for future visits.

Internet review said excellent, but this hotel is sub-par. Inconvenient location, no restaurants near by. Front desk said we had a pool view but we saw only hedges. Bed was very uncomfortable because the mattress was totally worn out. Only one bath towel for two guests. Worst thing was an electronic sound that continued ALL night on. NO SLEEP.

Everything was fine about the hotel in terms of location, public spaces etc. Only complaints: in a 4 star hotel I would expect proper coffee with a plunger or some such, and would also expect better bathroom facilities. It was tiny, no fan, impossible to use shower without drenching floor, and poor soap/toiletry provision.

Rummen var perfekt städade. Lite parfymerat första dagen men det vädrade vi ut. Personalen var mycket tillmötesgående och serviceinriktad. Det som var annorlunda var att poolen var oren och full av fåglar. Om det var för kallt för att bada, vilket jag inte tror, borde den stängas av så inte fåglarna förorenar.

Pärla längst kusten

Det är en pärla som vi återkommer till så fort vi är Frankrike. Lugnt läge, bra restauranger (även på hotellet, missa inte) och bara en liten promenad till finfina stränder. Servicen är på topp, städningen perfekt.

Hôtel très agréable rien à redire

Très bel hôtel avec une piscine agréable et un super restaurant.
Très agréable de pouvoir télétravailler l'aprem après avoir fait le check out et petits plongeons avant de reprendre la route.

Que ce soit à l'accueil ou au restaurant il y a un très bon accueil sympathique.

Bonjour je voyage beaucoup à l’hôtel dans le cadre professionnel, j’ai été déçu par cet hôtel qui n’est pas un 4 étoiles, l’hôtel est en manque d’investissements ce qui se ressent sur l’état général, la chambre avait une tâche sur la moquette, la fenêtre avait un éclat. J’étais avec ma femme et mes 2 enfants et nous n’avons pas apprécié. Une remise en question de l’hôtel doit avoir lieu car le prix ne correspond pas à la prestation.
