My stay at Villa Orchid Garden Riverside in Hoi An was nothing short of wonderful. The friendliness and warmness of the staff really shone through. The property’s riverside location provides a peaceful atmosphere and picturesque view and yet it is still very accessible and walkable to nearby attractions. Shoutout to Tran, Lee and the entire team for making my stay in Hoi An so memorable.

This feels like it should be a secret it’s so good

Simply an amazing gem of a place that is hard to summarise in words or photos.

We had a fantastic stay at this amazingly floral location by the river… it really does live up to its name! The garden of orchids surrounds the private and secluded pool area. From the top floor, 2-room mini apartment we had 360 views (and a river view to boot), 2 (!) bathrooms that feel semi indoor/outdoor and fabulous air-con.

Breakfast was leisurely and with a great selection of fruits, juices, coffee, eggs… you name it. A special mention to Lee and Gwen who take pride in knowing all the great places to eat, drink, get massages, taxis and have a friendly team supporting the exceptional service we were shown.

Handy bike loans meant when we felt like it, the busy town centre was a short ride, and even the beach didn’t seem too far a cycle.

Would recommend this to all and everyone in a heartbeat. Thank you team Orchid Garden!

Loved our stay! The villas, the pool, the staff, the location, everything was fabulous. Breakfast was super yummy. We rode the free bikes everyday, which was so easy to get around. The location is perfect and really safe with kids who can just walk out along the riverfront where there are heaps of cafes and restaurants.
Old town is just a 5 min ride away. We’d stay again definitely if we get the chance to return.

Hidden gem of peace & quiet

Hidden gem of Hoi An. Beautiful space right on the river with garden, pool courtyard, and lovely rooms. Clean and comfortable. A bit off the beaten track and away from the crowds- 15 min walk/5 min taxi to Old Town. We would definitely stay here again. The staff are wonderful and give lots of tips, information, and more.

Fantastic place, lovely room, great pool and the staff are amazing, kind and very helpful. Plenty of places to eat within 5 minute walking distance and about 10 minute walk into Old Town! My first choice to stay when I come back to visit again!

The staff were fantastic and really made our stay! Pool lovely and not as warm as some of the others across sout east Asia that we have swam in. The beds were a bit hard but the staff added some extra padding underneath to make it more comfortable. The water pressure was a little funny- had to turn shower on and then fiddle with the sink tap to get the pressure to come through and the hot water. Overall it was a really great stay!

A great place to stay. A little way out of the main area but a nice walk along the river. Staff were great and gave us plenty of information about where to go and what to see. FireFly restaurant just round the corner was excellent as well. We had an early flight and had to leave at 6am and arrived to a package of Bahn Mi rolls and a fruit salad and taxi waiting at the door. Fantastic!

Perfect place to stay in Hoi An!

We travelled in SE Asia for 6 weeks and this was by far the highlight of our trip!! We absolutely loved our stay. The staff are incredible! Especially Nguyen who helped us book things locally as well as our boat trip in Ha Long Bay. When we arrived we were greeted with the most delicious banana pancake with coconut cream that we continue to dream about. All the food and service were amazing! It's about a mile away from the center of everything but we really liked that. There are free bicycles and we would either ride those or take a lovely walk. It's also only about a 20 minute bike ride from the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool was great. We can't wait for our next opportunity to visit again and in the meantime will recommend this place to every one we can! Thanks for everything :)

A hidden gem

The location is great as it's nice and quiet but it only takes a few minutes to get into town on the free bikes, and cycling round hoi an was one of the highlights of our trip! The rooms are lovely and spacious, and the outside shower was great in the heat. The pool area is lovely and I would defo stay there again.

Beautiful Villas and Yummy Breakfast

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and wish we could have stayed longer! Everyone was friendly and helpful and the rooms and property were beautiful. My only complaint is that it was a bit from the Old Town (about 20 minutes walking), but the location right on the river was nice. The breakfast was also very good! Make sure you eat the banana pancakes with fresh coconut cream!

Upon arrival we were greeted with chocolate milkshakes and banana pancakes and then given information about the area which was very useful. Our room was lovely and breakfast was delicious, location was near town and motorbikes could also be rented - highly recommend

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous, we are so glad we stayed here and we will always stay at Villa Orchid if we come back to Hoi An.
Rooms are clean and comfortable with great Air con and a nice shower. The pool is beautiful and the staff are so helpful. Breakfast is $5 a day but is so worth it. They bring you complimentary waffles and drinks. I would recommend renting a moped if staying here as the town is a bit of a walk and the beach is very far too.

Nice hotel, with a great staff

Staff went out of their way to make my stay incredible. Room was clean and well appointed. Hotel is just outside of downtown, and they offer free bicycle rental to ride into town. The pool was clean and sparkling, and pool towels were always ready. The food was incredible. I was offered and Banana pancake upon arrival while they finalized my room details and checked me in. The included breakfast was wonderful and had a lot of choices.They had great advise on what stores to check out depending on what items I was looking for. Plus I had torn a strap on my bag and was going to go into town to find a tailor. They said they could have their housekeeper sew it for me. She did a wonderful job and my bag looked like the tear had never happened. I would highly recommend this location and I will be returning.

Next to the river, quiet and refreshing.

Upon check in, we were served tea / coffee and hotel's version of banana pancake (much better than those on the street stores).

Then the porters carried all our luggages into our room and showed us all the necessary switches, remotes, etc. Also free use of the hotel bicycles, which was handy as it saves some time of walking to the market and shopping area (45 mins walk away)

Greeted us on leaving and returning to the hotel. Very friendly and helpful.

Nice quiet getaway

Great for family vacation. family room has separate bedrooms and bathrooms.
Friendly staffs, welcome freshly made snacks and hot drinks upon arrival which includes a short briefing on navigating around the city. Free use of bicycles is an extra surprise. 20 mins ride on bicycle or 40 mins walk to the market area and laid with plenty of eateries, small shops and convenient stores along the way.

The food / cafe area at the entrance with a breath taking view of the river and garden surroundings hides the great villas inside that includes a pool for those hot summers.

Other then the small little problems with the water heaters in the bathrooms that seems to be inconsistent in keeping the temperature, the rooms are comfy and big for both the single and family rooms. The other is that the 2nd floors are only accessible via a single staircase but the porters are always helpful with the luggages and shoppings.

Nothing too much trouble!

The staff at the Villa Orchid Garden Riverside were exceptional. For example, when I told them the door lock on our room was a little stiff, they had a locksmith there within fifteen minutes! And when we said we would like to visit the My Son Sanctuary, the arrangements were made within minutes. And the breakfasts, whether Vietnamese or western, we're excellent.

Also, the room was very comfortable (including air conditioning that worked well!) and the pool was welcome at the end of hot days of site-seeing. We stayed for five nights and would recommend it.

Great staff, great location

The staff at this hotel are wonderful. We originally booked our stay at the beginning of our trip, but due to Visa issues we weren't able to make it. The hotel agreed to move our stay to later in our trip for a minimal change fee. The after some scheduling mistakes (on our part) we were set to arrive a day early. They hotel accomodated us and even had someone there late into the evening to welcome us. He even cooked a banana pancake for my wife and I after noticing how hungry we were. He didn't ask, didn't need to be cajoled. He just noticed and helped out. It was pretty much that way through our stay. What we needed was taken care of and even things we hadn't thought of were brought up to enhance or stay. When we return to Hoi An we know the place we want to stay.

Best hotel I stayed in!

I travelled from Hanoi to Saigon and stayed at many places along the way. So I have to say that villa orchid was my absolute favourite.
Lillly the receptionist was exceptional. So kind and helpful - she made all the difference when it came to how comfortable and pleasant my stay was. Always asking how I was and helped me plan and organise my stay in Hoi An.
This is such a peaceful place to stay. Very quiet and the outdoor bathtub and shower were exceptional. I loved every minute I was here and would definitely stay again.

Great location, 10 min bike ride to the Ancient town along the river. Complimentary bikes. Breakfast was great. The pool was clean and refreshing. Beach was approx 30 min bike ride but very enjoyable. Outdoor bathroom was cute until we came across a giant spider. Only 4 Loungers at the pool, not enough. Day staff was lovely, Evening lady was cranky.

One of our group arrived early in the middle of the night. The hotel staff woke up in the middle of the night to arrange a taxi from the airport and welcomed her with fresh banana pancakes. So welcoming! Excellent service. We are definitely coming back!

Lovely hotel

Very nice hotel. We had a very large room with good facilities. Hotel is very pretty and right on the river. Bit of a walk into central Hoi An. Nice pool, but we didnt get to use it due to rainy weather. We had 2 bathrooms but the showers are exposed to the outside which I found a bit disconcerting. £ inch spider in the bathroom one day.

Friendly and helpful hotel.

Very nice helpful staff who were eager to help wherever possible. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the town but thrre are.hotel bicycles available and taxis ate cheap. The restaurant overlooks the river....very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel.

Such a welcoming and hospitable level of service from the staff made this a wonderful stay. 20min walk to old town, or an easy bike ride or cheap taxi. Also biking distance to the beach through the countryside.
Mojitos by the pool. Soundproof room.

Peaceful retreat with lovely staff

This is a lovely place, tucked away from the centre of town, overlooking the river. Which is a blessing as it can get noisy in town, but I still walked to the centre in about 25 mins and cycled in 10 mins (bikes you can borrow any time for free). It's a peaceful place with a lovely swimming pool. The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated with more space than I could possibly need. Breakfast is well worth paying for. Most importantly the staff are incredibly helpful, nothing is too much trouble; they will help you plan travel, sightseeing or anything you need. Would definitely recommend as a peaceful retreat and great value for money.

Hidden Gem

We loved this little oasis that is just a little way out of the bustle of the Old town. Roomy - our well appointed ground floor air conditioned room opened onto the pool (doors could fold back to open room right up, double glazing kept the room quiet and cool when the doors closed), the open air bathroom was private and very roomy with a lovely raindrop shower. We really enjoyed using the bikes to explore Hoi An. The staff were excellent - unobtrusively ensuring our every need was met and arranged a very reasonably priced private car to take us on a scenic transfer to our next destination.
