Hotel and staff amazing, spotlessly clean and everyone from cleaners to reception really friendly.
Pool situation I couldn’t fault anything.
Proximaty to beach 10/10.
But for me the food served at Breakfast & Dinner was out of this world, both the varied selection and quality of what we were eating was absolutely outstanding in my opinion.
Bar snacks & staff I couldn’t fault, all in all we spent 16 pretty faultless days here and will most definitely revisit, 100%.
If I’m being overly critical the evening entertainment was pretty poor most nights but to be fair most hotels I’ve visited the entertainment is rubbish!…. So based on that I’ll score this hotel 9.5/10.. they say nothings perfect but as far as holidays go this wasn’t far off!

This really is a little Oasis next to the beach. We had a wonderful view of the palm trees and the beach.
The pools were lovely and not busy.

The best thing is the food. Breakfast and evening dinner, loads of choice.

Entertainment is excellent too. Dukes band did an Abba tribute one night and a Queen tribute another night.
The Tina Turner show was also great.
Empire vocal group from South Africa were spot on with their Greatest night in pop show.

Excellent hotel and wonderful staff. The buffet food was the best of anywhere I’ve stayed before, but they could do with some more toasting machines at breakfast !….the only small criticism is the towels need replacing and the food at the pool bar was mediocre.
Location is excellent for bus station and all amenities, bars and restaurants and the sand dunes !

No ocean view. Our room view was of the parking area and approach to the hotel reception. Also view of the road to the beach. So a lot of people watching, if you are so inclined. The walk in shower was large enough to hold a family. The gardens are lovely for having a walk. The food selection was great and delicious.

My gripe is that there was no free mineral water in room on arrival, were so in the fridge but chargeable. Also we had half board again no free complementary water. We had to purchase it. We have been to other hotel chains where they were not so stingy

The hotel is beautiful and has everything you want. We arrived an hour early and weren't able to check in early. Unfortunately the staff didn’t make it clear so we had to stand around and weren't able to access our room until after 4pm. We were given a welcome drink but we kept being told 15 more mins and it wasn't. It would have been helpful to be explicit from the beginning. The breakfast was immense and the beach access was really helpful.

We had a great 5-day stay at the hotel. The staff (except one), service and food were all perfect. After our checkout, we had an hour until our transfer and made the mistake of sitting at the outside part of the bar. The bar manager was very keen on patronizing and educating us on what is “normal” and what is not. Finally, when he took the chair off the field, saying “this is not normal” for our swimwear to dry on an outside bar chair, I couldn’t take it longer and had to leave the bar. It practically ruined our stay - and let me say - the effort everyone put together to provide the perfect service. If it is the case that such swimwear is not allowed to dry at that bar, perhaps there are other ways to tell and help the customer, instead of almost insulting at every interaction m.

The best thing… the shower! Hot and lots of water pressure. Hotel seems expensive for what you get. Our room had a small outdoor sitting area that faced a brick wall. The rest of the hotel grounds looked quite nice though. Dinner buffet was extensive and delicious. Beach area was fun to walk, good for cheap food options and souvenirs and lots of Lou gets to rent at reasonable price.

Mattresses too soft for me, pillows to “springy” felt as though they were filled with cut up foam. Sun loungers did not have cushions which made them difficult sit on for extended periods.

3rd year we have stayed with them, excellent service from the staff as always. It’s great to turn up at the hotel, and be thoroughly looked after during the stay. With easy access to the beach to watch the sun rise or set, and should you want a change of scene from the hotel, plenty of restaurants and bars along the seafront - all of which are easily accessible to the rear of the hotel.
Plenty of sun lounges, but there are definitely some keen beans who like to reserve them before the sun has even come up.

RIU Oasis - Try Another Hotel.

Hotel advertises parking for guests and only has a 20 spot lot for 1000 rooms does not make senses.

Needless to say I got towed parking on the street and decided to find a hotel that has parking and customer service. (Salobre - very nice).

Did I get a refund for early check out for a room I never used? No. So thanks agai RIU. Wo t be back👍

We stayed in a swim out suite and it was lovely. Almost 4ft deep and always the perfect temperature. The main pools were not as big as I expected however they were beautiful and never looked overly crowded. The location was great. We were able to walk to the dunes to the left and to the right there were miles of stores, restaurants, other beaches and even a mall. The lighthouse is also very close.
The food was good at the Promenade and the specialty restaurants were exceptional in every way.
The staff was very helpful and even let us use an adapter because we didn’t think about the European outlets when packing.
It was also a very safe place to walk around. There’s a nude beach a short distance to the right of the hotels private beach. One of RiUs sister resorts is also a walkable distance from RIU palace oasis.

This is a wonderful hotel and worth every penny. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and provide an incredible service. The hotel gardens were beautiful. The direct access to the beach was a plus. We booked a swim up room in the quieter part of the hotel, which was amazing and away from public access.
We booked half board, there were plenty of breakfast and dinner options. However, I would just like to add, the dinner options could be labelled with a bit more details as not all food was labelled correctly. Especially the vegetarian/vegan options. We found that even the chefs were unable to confirm if food included meat, fish or eggs. It wasn’t a huge issue for us, as we avoided eating certain dishes, but it would be nice to be able to try food that was available without having to worry about what was in it.
Overall, thank you for a lovely stay, I would definitely recommend to others and return in the future.

Great hotel for relaxed vacation

A really good hotel with service as a top priority. Nice and clean room just as shown in pictures. Friendly staff all around. Quite surroundings and very close and convenient to the beach.

Only minus is that guests are blocking sunbeds in the morning with their towels and hotel did not take care of it. Every morning at the breakfast buffet, one could see the sunbeds occupied without any people there. A big minus for a 5 star hotel where one could expect propper manners. I will not leave an inferior rating because of this, but might not come back due to this.

Why Canari?

The hotel is fine, comfortable, and the food is great. I travelled there in May, but I cannot understand why someone should visit the island? It has nothing to give. It took me 6 hours direct flight from Oslo. Instead, I could have gone to Purtugal, south of Spain or Italy for a shorter and cheaper flight, yet get a similar hotel with better vibe from the cities. To me, the Canari was the most boring destination ever :(

This was our second stay at the hotel following a weeks break the same time last year. As before the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has excellent facilities and is in a nice seafront location for Meloneras. This time we just had B&B rather than H&B like last time even though the food was good to try some local restaurants. The only disappointment was we choose to dine in the hotel one evening and were charged €45s each three times the cost of booking through Hotel.com! Also this time we again had a room on the 5th floor as requested to enjoy the view but unlike last year we were put into block 1 where our view of the sea was somewhat blocked due to another hotel and palm trees which was disappointing. However all our stay was very pleasant.

Second time we have stayed here, staff are still as attentive as they were on our first visit. Food maybe not as good as our first visit.

Staff looking after the rooms make sure your room is tidy, and around 5pm they check in to see if you need new towels. Turn down service happens early evening. Well looked after. And always smiling and saying hello.

Food/restaurants. Krystal only visited the once, nice atmosphere and good food. A little hurried, although think it might have been us. Most people were in and out within 1.5 hours. Think we preferred a bit more time to chat and enjoy the meal, got hurried out of the restaurant for the next sitting. Main buffet, great selection at breakfast and plenty of fruit. Dinner wasn’t as good as our first visit, variety this time wasn’t as great. Some days it was the same meal as the night before. Waiting staff looked after us well.

General area, pool and bars were clean. Not too busy and plenty of places to soak up the sun. Although a few people are crazy with putting towels out, I was up at 6am and towels had already been put down (pitch black). Gym was in good working order, range or cardio and strengthening machines. Yoga on the lawn each day. Don’t have kids, but there was a kids club, not many kids there, 3 top. They seemed to be having fun though.

It is a great location to quickly jump onto the sand and wander the beach. And then head right and there are bars and restaurants, and a bit of shopping.

The hotel offers good value, falling on the lower end of 5-star accommodations. It's clean, modern, and has friendly staff. The breakfast is extensive and good quality, and the lunch options are reasonable.

The grounds are a highlight, featuring well-landscaped areas with mature trees providing natural shade around the pools. However, the pool rules felt overly strict and seemed to discourage kids' activities (no playing 'catch' with your kids with a soft ball the size of a tennis ball, for example).

Parking was a bit of an aggravation on one day because the car park only fits about 20 vehicles and I had to pay to park it several minutes walk away until a space freed up. I wouldn't really advise hiring a car.

The hotel has direct access to the beach and the seafront area of Meloneras. If you run the gauntlet of people trying to persuade you into cheap restaurants in the adjacent street then you can get to a more fancy development with some nicer places to eat.

Winter sunshine break in lovely hotel

Very enjoyable stay at lovely hotel. Excellent location for beach and Meloneras beach bars and restaurants nearby. We had a sea view room on the 5th floor and the views of the sea and lighthouse were spectacular. Also the balcony was a sheltered sun trap which was ideal on windy days. The buffet breakfast and dinner had lots of choice and variety which was nice including a things like freshly cooked steaks, fish and shell fish in the evenings. The staff in the hotel were the most friendly we have met in our many holidays. Everyone said hello with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. For those not on a budget definitely worth a visit and we plan to return.

The room was ok. But it was noisy from corridor as soon the cleaning started at 7.30 in the morning. We had a pool room. but it was small and not private. Residents above dropped e.g cigarettes on our sun beds and in the pool. Our parasoll was also broken. Breakfast was very good. The dining was ok, but not as you could expect in a 5 star hotel.

We had a fantastic holiday in Riu Palace Oasis.
The staff in the hotel were so helpful and friendly that made a big difference in our stay. It didn’t seem busy or crowded even though it was Easter and there were a lot guests.
Facilities were fabulous with loads of garden space which made it feel so relaxing and peaceful. And the access directly to the beach from the hotel was fantastic.
Plenty of places to eat in the area if you go half board or bed and breakfast.

Food was very good the only criticism was the allergen labels which didn’t seem to be consistent. They will put allergens in the dishes they cook on site but not on the items that weren’t such as dry meats or baked goods like desserts. We have a lactose intolerance in the family and it was hard to trust the labels. Dry meats often contain lactose and this wasn’t indicated in any of them, some salad dishes contained cheese in their sauces and wasn’t indicated in their label either, and sometimes there weren’t labels for certain items. Saying this we weren’t worried much because there was plenty of options to eat and food was lovely. It is just something the hotel can improve on.

We would definitely like to go back to this hotel in the future.

We have just returned after a 5 night stay at this lovely resort.
We had a sea view room , theres a mini bar in the room, kettle with tea/ coffee. The bed was so comfortable! The pillows take a bit of getting used to but very comfortable. Room is cleaned everyday ...and tidied :). All staff wear masks. The only drawback is they dont clean the balcony area but im sure they would if you asked them.
There are 3 restaurants - 2 a la carte and 1 buffet. The food in the buffet is so plentiful and delicious, in the evening there is- one cooked meat section, one fish section, japenese section. Breakfast was a wow factor too, so much to choose from - wide range of cereals, pastries, cold meats, salmon, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, poached eggs, omelettes , bottles of cava, fresh fruit, desserts, yoghurts.
The hotel is clean and kept clean throughout the day.
There are 3 pools and a baby pool. Plenty of sunbeds to choose from and pool service
The gardens are beautiful and romantic to walk around, theres a little lake and waterfall.
The staff are so friendly and so helpful, they would do anything to make sure you had a wonderful stay.
Entertainment at the end of the night was ok but tailored for a mature crowd, but a good evening still.
Location is perfect, beach access and a strip of restaurants. Youre a few mins walk to the dunes. Note that the beach is nudist.
We hired a car, simple to do there , stress free.
Perfect hotel in every way!

It was a lovely hotel with an extensive buffet service. The food was excellent. Do look out for our German friends with their vigorous approach to sun bed grabbing / reserving techniques. One couple took up 4 sun beds so that they could take advantage of where the sun was during the day.
Dont let this put you off, but you wont get anwhere if you are a shrinking violet, so you have to be down at the pool by 8 to get a sunbed

Property is well looked after and was subject to a full renovation in 2018 so everything still looks new. Quality of the food was very good and room was comfortable. It is right on maspalomas beach as well with direct access to the beach and the dunes there. Would have been nice if swimming pools were a little warmer, and the EUR6 charge per day for use of the in room safe is incomprehensible for a 5* hotel. All good otherwise though and would happily recommend the hotel to others

La habitación muy bien: grande, cómoda y limpia. La cena-buffet correcta. Piscinas agradables pero un poco pequeñas para la cantidad de gente del hotel, y eso que estaba bastante vacío. El parking del hotel lleno, imposible aparcar: justo afuera puedes aparcar (gratis) si tienes muchísima suerte y, si no, tienes que ir al parking del casino a 10min. Incómodo para dejar las maletas en el check-in porque me hicieron mover el coche por si venía un autobús antes de ir a la habitación. Lo más disfrutable era la posibilidad de cambiar entre piscina o playa del inglés si te apetecía, estaba muy bien situado.

Excellent Place to Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food is amazing with a fabulous assortment to suit all needs. The room was spotless with a beautiful balcony over-looking the sea. We travel a lot and neither of us could fault this place - locations perfect right by the sea.

Nice hotel, very good breakfast.
The only problem are rooms wich are not \"sound proof\" at all. Since early morning you can clearly hear all opening and closing doors on your floor which is very uncomfortable if you wanna stay in your bed a little longer.

We had an enjoyable stay. The hotel let us check in a few hours early. Appropriate social distancing measures were in place and we felt very comfortable. The staff at reception were very helpful- from helping us print documents to booking taxis.

Enjoy the location, the hotel is excellent and the food good particularly the two specialist restaurants
Stayed in February, some nights a little cool for outdoor entertainment , we would have preferred the indoor provision

the food for breakfast and dinner was superb, we liked that we could dine in the special restaurants at no extra cost.
We didn't like not having free water in the room, no shampoo sachets, no fresh milk in the room, no tea/coffee in the room the last 2 days, and didn't like having to ask for bath towels to be changed!! These negative points were poor for a 5*, we have had them in a 4* in December.

Fantastic hotel, fantastic location, fantastic food (we took the option of breakfast and dinner, included)
One slight crib, if one has to nit-pick, is that the reception was always busy, so one had to wait a while for even small needs.

Didn’t like no free Bottled water in the rooms( it’s 10p a bottle) or paying Extra for an in room safety Deposit box.
If they want to maintain a 5star rating these are a must
Great food choices with two a la carte restaurants at no extra charge and a great variety in the self service restaurant
Gardens were extremely well maintained and three Great swimming pools to sit next to Great position right in the beach

Overlooks the ocean, easy 5 min walk to beach and short drive to nearby RUI with Maspalomas dunes. Impressive lobby offering welcome drink upon arrival, good buffet variety, modern rooms with comfortable beds & linens. Well deserved 5 star rating in this palm-oasis, would highly recommend.

Hotel recently refurbished to an extremely high standard, rooms were absolutely spotless, food was amazing, customer service outstanding, hotel grounds beautiful, three pools, loads of sunbeds, great location next to the beach.

Lovely new renovated hotel with great location!

We are traveling a lot and been to many nice hotels.
This is our first time here and we got a nice room with a private pool.
The room was lovely & comfortable. Everything is new & fresh. Love the private pool & the nice bathroom. Although some slippers & free water in the room would have been nice. The towels were nice & smelled lovely!
The staff were nice & service minded, they all said hello except for one woman in the spa area. The spa area was a bit sad compare to the rest of the hotel & that same woman passed by a dirty towel on the floor & ignored it..
The gym was a bit small & didn’t have any weights.
The food was really nice, lovely buffet with plenty of choices. Although some big prawns would have been nice.
The garden & oasis was amazing!
Check out time was too early (11am) although we got extended to 1pm. Also breakfast close early on the weekend, 10:30. And the omelette were not so well made, a bit burn & overcooked. But many nice other choices.
Entertainment was good too, we enjoyed the element dance show.
This hotel is pretty quiet even with all families with children.
Overall we loved our stay & will definitely come back!
