This property is a very historic family run palazzo. We enjoyed meeting the owner of the property and spending time in this historic palace. We appreciated the opportunity to enjoy common spaces other than just our room. We wish we had opted to have breakfast in the morning. The breakfast provided looked and smelled fantastic. We would highly recommend this property. The owner made us feel at home in her home.

Excellent location, nice place. It is an old building with original furniture. No air conditioning which might not be a problem most part of the year, we were there in August so it was very hot. However we didn’t stay in the room much time. Beds might need to be updated. Staff was super friendly and very helpful.

Book here while in Tuscany

Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Buonaccorsi is in an amazing location near the center of town. Quick walks to panoramic locations, restaurants and shops. Our hostess, Marzia, allowed us to store our bags while we waited for check in time to approach. She provided us with a map and many recommendations for dining upon check in and pointed out locations to take pictures. The hotel has a hidden patio to enjoy some wine and just relax in the evenings. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. Marzia and her crew delighted us with an amazing breakfast spread of various fresh cheeses, bread, fruit and cereal. As well as many Italian coffee options.

The staff was very nice and responsive. Gave lots of local recommendations and information. I also enjoyed walking out the front door and just being on the main walking street. The only downside is when I was there 2 weeks ago It was very very hot and there’s no AC. There is a fan in the room, but it just basically blows the hot air around. But overall, the property is very charming.

Wonderful staff! They helped, saved us when the gps failed. They went out of their way to make sure we had a nice evening. She walked some distance to our car and lead us. It was very kind! The room was absolutely beautiful. It was like stepping back in time to an Italian family treasure. Like a beautiful boutique, with a rich heritage. Peaceful, charming, with wonderful kind people. A little piece of heaven!

The room is clean and good enough for a little Tuscany town. Please reveiew what is included on the booking, I did not know that the room we booked did not include a toilet. Ehen we arrived to the hotel, the administrator told me it was a shared toilet and we had to pay an extra fee for a private toilet. The parking is far from the hotel.

Our host was exceptional! Usually she was on the premise but if not was easy to contact with any questions. She came in early for our early check in! Had plenty of recommendations not only about San Gimignano but surrounding towns. She made us a reservation for New Year's Eve having to call several to get us a spot!
The location was perfect as it was close to everything, especially the unloading area!
Although a breakfast was not available we were able to get a discount at the recommended bar which was very close.
We would say there again in a heartbeat! Thanks for a great stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly disappointed by the condition of my room. From the moment I walked in, there was a strong, musty smell that I initially tried to ignore, but it became overwhelming. The room itself felt incredibly outdated, with worn furniture.

For the price, I expected a much higher standard of comfort and upkeep. Unfortunately, this hotel did not deliver on any of those fronts. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made. There are definitely better options in the area.

The property is a very nice 11Century building and is maintained impeccably BUT all should know the bathrooms are small, so small the shower head hangs from the ceiling and the drain is in the middle of the floor beneath it. There is a room that has no personal bath it is down the hall but has a regular shower

Location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of everything so short walk to all restaurants and wine bars. As this is original palace the room was extremely dark, even with all of the lights on , which didn’t feel very welcoming when we wanted to spend few hours relaxing and reading for example. It would also be really nice to have a kettle in the room or common areas .

Lovely to stay in such a historic hotel! The owners were very nice and helpful. We were able to supply our own breakfast and eat it in their pretty courtyard. Bedroom wasn’t en-suite but it was just for our family and was down the short corridor. Convenient location and right in the old town. Parked the car in the free car park nearby (about a seven minute walk)

Amazing! Beautiful house with antique furniture, contortable beds, helpful staff, pretty courtyard. Not a noise, extremely quiet.
The only negative thing was that the heating was very low, and it was really cold in the room and bathroom.

Visit San Gimignano and sleep like a king!

The place is awesome, well located at the entrance at the Porta San Matteo next to a great eatery with super food and exceptional service. The room is large, clean, very quiet and Pierluigi gave me a bit of history on the Palazzo and the fortified city which made my first visit to San Gimignano that much more enjoyable.

On the main road however it was lacking in normal comforts. There was no soap in the room, no top sheet on the bed, the free parking was a long ways away outside the town walls so not convenient, check-in was chaotic and the beds weren’t very comfortable. Next time I would stay outside the town and park where I had to park this time anyways.

Fabulous place to stay - right on the Via Francigena - the path that Catholic pilgrims took in the past centuries on their pilgrimages to Rome. The hostess - Marisia - is an absolutely wonderful person, a descendant of the historic family that built this palace, and is leading the effort to restore this palace based on the earnings from the hotel. Wonderful location within the OLD city walls

The accomodations were awesome! I would highly recommend this hotel. She does not take credit cards and it is difficult to find. However, she will send you an e-mail prior to arrival with all these details as well as how to find the hotel. You can park out front while checking in and then you drive about 100 meters to a free parking lot .... very convenient. The City is wodnerful are easily walkable!

I enjoyed this B & B more than my husband. It is VERY old - dating to the 12th century!! The only thing he had a problem with was the bathroom. The shower and sink were in the same space so it was impossible to take a shower without getting everything at the sink wet. Other than that, it was very comfy. It is located within the walls of the beautiful town of San Gimignano. It's true that its best after the tourist groups leave. Ask the staff for recommendations for resturants. We enjoyed all of them!

Stunning \"Palazzo\" at the Historical center of town. Its like staying in a museum, full of antiques, super comfortable antique beds and original terracotta flooring throughout the residence. Marzia was very helpful and took some of her time to tell me the building history and took me on a tour around it. One goes back in time completely! Super clean and excellent value for what it is. Will stay there for sure when returning to San Gimignano.

Nossa experiência em San Gimignano foi maravilhosa. A cidade por si só já é incrível, mas a hospedagem contribuiu muito para isso. Fomos recebidos com muitas dicas úteis sobre o que fazer, onde comer e como aproveitar melhor a região — além de descontos especiais por estarmos hospedados, o que foi um diferencial super bem-vindo.

A localização do espaço é excelente: perto dos pontos principais, tornando tudo muito prático e permitindo explorar a cidade a pé com facilidade. O ambiente é acolhedor, organizado e atendeu perfeitamente ao que precisávamos.

Um ponto importante para futuros hóspedes: o banheiro é compartilhado(a depender da seleção do quarto), mas estava sempre limpo, confortável e bem equipado. Apesar de ser compartilhado, não tivemos qualquer problema durante a estadia.

No geral, tivemos uma experiência ótima e recomendamos muito!

There is no WiFi in the room. Just a global router located in the lobby without sufficient signal. The free parking is just the village common parking areas, therefore is not guaranteed when you arrive and you have to look for a parking space around the city. Hidden fees were charged as we were told that our room didn’t included a private bathroom and have to pay extra for something we already booked. Finally, there is no air-con in the room nor tv, we couldn’t open the windows as there is a patio just outside and we didn’t want to lose our privacy. Room plenty of mosquitoes. Also the patio allows for customers to smoke which is very disgusting for non smokers like us. I don’t consider this a proper hotel.

San Gimignano è stupenda, il palazzo è ricco di storia e molto ben tenuto, il personale accogliente, gentile e ci ha dato molte informazioni utili. Si raggiunge facilmente dai parcheggi tutto intorno al paese (gratuiti e a pagamento), si trova su una delle vie principali di San Gimignano, a 3 minuti a piedi dalle due principali piazze. Posto consigliatissimo.
