This is my happy place - this resort has all extra thoughtful touches that keep me coming back year after year! Turn down service with local caramels, the outdoor hut tub with breathtaking views, hot apple cider in the lobby and fully equipped rooms with everything you could want for. And huckleberry on top - the staff are the literal best!

I was looking to minimize the about of schlepping on our ski trip. The Summit was the most convenient hotel we have ever stayed in slopeside.
We could come down for breakfast ready to ski and the ski valet (right outside the door) would place our skis at the lift.

The car valets/bellmen were also wonderful and super helpful. Room was spacious and had a full kitchen.
Would highly recommend and will be back!!

Property is situated in a great location. Close to everything, but off to left side looking up the mountain. So great views but also quiet, even if a rave in the plaza.

Staff was extremely friendly and always ready to answer a question.

The heated pool and spa was great after a day of skiing.

Lack of snow an issue, but the mountain team made an exceptional effort to prepare the slopes. Even with conditions changing hourly, we had a great time skiing.

More like a fraternity or sorority house because they allow multiple people to stay in these rooms. Obnoxiously loud and honestly not impressed with mountain and especially not the accommodations! Way over priced!!!

Amazing place. Ski in Ski Out. The staff is super friendly. The Bell desk “Cowboys” are wonderful, will take you where you need to go. The Spa is lovely with the giant hot tub and the Sauna. The restaurant is lovely and the food is delicious. Will be back!!

This is the only place I would recommend to stay in big sky. You literally walk out into the chairlift. For serious skiers, the amenities don’t really matter that much. Our room had a full kitchen though which was nice. The staff was nice. There was a few bits that were confusing that were lost in translation, like transportation and how to get passes and stuff but a lot of things could be found online.Great stay. Clean room. Will be going back

What a wonderful ski-in/ski-out resort hotel. The pool area/thermal spa was amazing. Highest quality finishes in the spa. The swim out outdoor pool was kept very hot for a good soaking after a day of skiing. And the serve drinks. We dined and Peaks and had a great meal. All resort items are expensive but the convenience was excellent.

Was surprised to see my room had a Murphy Bed, wasn’t expecting that, felt different having to pull my bed out of the wall each night. That and the public parking being quite a ways away were a bit of a surprise. Valet or onsite parking was $50 a day, that’s a steep price for the convenience. Despite the minor surprises, the room was excellent, the turn down service in the evenings always makes it great to return to your room after dinner and have the bed turned back. (And pulled out of the wall!). The lights down low, and soft music playing. Very conducive to a great nights sleep after skiing. Speaking of skiing, the ski valet was excellent, the hotel is ski in/out and the food and restaurants are outstanding. As are the well stocked and prepared kitchens in the room, all this makes for a great stay. Not to mention skiing in Big Sky is an amazing experience and an extraordinary mountain. All in all, this place is wonderful, truly a high class experience with everything about the stay being top notch. Can’t wait to return, but it’ll take some time to save up. This isn’t a cheap place to stay, but the amenities are great. Highly recommended!

We were just there one night, the room was fine - nice kitchen which we didn’t need but still nice with Nespresso coffee maker-best part!!!! What I did not realize is the bed was a Murphy bed and it was not very comfortable. It only has 2 small pillows so called and quickly received 2 more. All in all it was fine for one night, but I would make sure you don’t book the Murphy bed as your only bed!!!

Left the hotel, but did not love the late check in

We had a great trip and I really did like our room! The only downside is that I called for an early check-in after finding out that the check-in time was not until 5 PM!? I have never heard of a check in time being that late, and it pushed us back because when we arrived, our room still was not ready And it was 4:10 pm so we were even running late. They did have our room ready within about 20 minutes however it was a push for time at that point to change and meet up with our friends for drinks at 5:15 PM before dinner. Overall, we love the hotel but they need to make their standard check in time available and be about 3 o’clock like every other hotel. 5 PM it’s just pretty late.

If you can get a Mountain View room, I highly recommend it. But remember it’s a ski resort so many skiers and mountain bikers will be out there during the day. But nothing beats the Mountain View! The property was very clean and always smelled nice.

On site parking is valet only so beware of that. There’s free parking a little further down the hill but it’s a little hike. So be sure to drop off your luggage’s before you park. But the staff was very courteous and helpful if you need their help with luggages etc.

There are several fun activities you could do besides mountain activities too. Try the ziplines!

Anyway, it was a fun few days for our not so adventurous family.

I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed my time. The staff was super friendly and the ski valet was convenient. There isn’t much going on after about 10pm so maybe not the best spot for a night owl.

The indoor/outdoor hot tub, sauna, and cold shower was absolutely clutch. And the restaurant downstairs was excellent. Pretty expensive but to be expected for that kind of scene!

Amazing stay at the Summit Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and trained very well in hospitality. The spa with sauna, water circuit and hot tub was wonderful after a long day of skiing. The Exchange building next door was great for lunches. We did wish the Exchange food options stayed opened for the dinner hours, however, since we rented a car we were able to go off campus for dinners.

What a magical few days at this slope side ski ski hotel at big sky. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the ski valets to the concierge. Our suite was spacious and well appointed. Easy walk to lots of dining options. We particularly loves the sauna and heated pool apre ski. Highly recommend. Well worth the price

Lovely property. Decor very nice. Eileen at the concierge desk was very patient and helpful.
W ate at the Carabiner . Food was good. Justin was our waiter twice and did a fine job.
The studio room was nice and provided the necessities we needed. May we suggest moving the tv to the corner of the room near the hall . If it swiveled then it would make it much easier to watch tv on sofa or on bed.
Shout out to Chris my ski instructor. He was patient and helped me fix some of my weak spots.

The room had a murphy bed which pulled down from the wall ... it was very uncomfortable. Kind of like sleeping on a pull out couch. When making a reservation this should be communicated. Not happy that there wasn't a normal bed in the room. Deceiving for sure.

Enjoyed being at the property generally speaking. It wasn't as grand as I was expecting...entrance blah, lobby blah, self parking confusing. Staff was very kind and helpful, food was good, but VERY expensive. Location a bit remote for a summetime visit to Big Sky, would be great for a winter ski trip though.

Had a great stay at the Summit Hotel at Big Sky. Property was great (other than pool, etc that were closed for maintenance). The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Particular shout out to Zach, who helped us with our luggage the first day. Incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. He made us feel very welcomed and we felt like we had been his friend for many years. He was very helpful with recommendations for things to do in the area, hikes, etc. He's a true asset to the Summit Hotel!

The remodel or refresh of the units is fine, not high quality you would expect for a resort. The pool/gym were closed, if we had known we would have choose a different property that had that onsite, they expected us to walk to other properties to enjoy those amenities at one of there oldest properties it the same experience I choose price and amenities wise. They don’t offer parking in the lot in front, you can pay for valet or park and walk across the entire resort to get to this property.

The setting is stunning and the property itself is beautiful and in good condition. The pool was under renovation but guests could use the pool at another hotel. Unfortunately, that other hotel’s pool is only 3-feet deep! We use pools for exercise when we travel. This pool was a complete joke. We hope the new pool at the Summit will be at least 6-feet deep, so guests can swim and tread water for exercise. It is awesome at this altitude and after a day on the mountain. Not having a pool in which to work out was also a major disappointment to one of us—recovering from a broken bione with water therapy— who was not able to walk far. We were otherwise able to hike from the hotel, which was wonderful. The location is perfect.
Our biggest issue was the rudeness and snippiness of the staff. We were exhausted after a long trip when we pulled up to the hotel to check in and were verbally assaulted by the cowboy-hatted valets who insisted the law required they get our car key immediately, that the law demanded it (what law?) and that only they could touch our bags. This happened before one of us even had a chance to get out of the car and walk into the lobby to register for our stay!
Our every interaction with the valets was terrible. We were treated like trespassers, not polite and clean travelers who were paying good money to stay at the hotel. They bullied us from the moment we drove up to the curb, and until we left the hotel. They need customer-service training & basic civility.

The room was great, and the hotel is beautiful. Several restaurants in the area were closed for renovations since summer is their off season, but we still enjoyed our stay and loved all of the small touches (especially the pillow mist!)
Only down side was the parking is not close, so if you have a lot of luggage you have no choice but to valet.

Only parking for hotel is 1/2 mile away so plan to pay for valet parking. Our HVAC in our room did not work so it was hot and stuffy. The bed was a wall pull down bed. Not comfortable and they only gave us 2 very flat pillows. Beautiful area and staff are very friendly.
