Negative :

Swimming pool water was clean but surrounded by so many bugs and lizards . It was not convenient to swim in it .

We were also asked to pay for swim towels which was very odd.

The hotel is well located if you want to get to the airport. There is a gas station next door and restaurants within walking distance. But it is not a place where you would want to spend time. The room was dated and the carpet was very stained. It was fine for one night.

Me and my husband booked a superior double bedroom with a balcony for one week here as part of our honeymoon trip. Upon arrival Marco, the receptionist waa friendly and informative. The bedroom had an odd smell and the bed itslelf was hard and uncomfortable. Even though there were not many guests staying at the time of our arrival, we revieved a room directly above the hotel restaurant which affected our sleep massively.there was constantly a noise of chairs being scraped and pushed until late hours at night and then again from 7 am onwards for breakfast. We were let down to discover the sauna and steam room were inaccessible and were only open jn thw winter. If we had known this when we booked we would have hone elsewhere. Furthermore the gym had no means of air ventilation,no fan or air con and was located in the basement level of the hotel. It was far too hot to use the equipment and when we did, we were drenched in sweat. One day the pool was closed for half a day and the reception were not helpful indicating us when it would re open. Apparently the chlorine levels were too high. We couldnt see much being done about it. We asked for a manger and there was nobody available or jn the bujlding. Overall a bizzare stay, the barman/ waiter was rude to my husband saying he should have learnt Italian before his stay and was harassing us sharing unacceptable stories and talking to us when we wanted to enjoy one another's company. The cleaners were lovely. I wouldn't recommend it.

Located directly on a busy train track this hotel has seen better days, or maybe it was always a dump. Our room had holes in the bathroom door from a previous guest punching and kicking it. The shower randomly turned cold every 30 seconds and the train was ear piercingly loud as it passed every few minutes. A bus stop bench is preferable.

Well placed hotel, easy to find and friendly staff. Only dissapointment, parking charged at 11 euros and no reason why it was not stated as chargeable. There was no where else to park as located in a busy street and I only stay at hotels with parking. Other than this I was really pleased and had a comfortable night sleep.

Hotel needs some updates and near train tracks

For the price you pay here, it should be in better shape. The extra bed we had to pay for with our 2 kids, was a broken fold out couch. It was totally lopsided. The room is old with old carpets, drapes. Also... there is a train track right behind the hotel!! Although, there is no night service. During day can be quite loud since we had room next to track. Breakfast was great!! Eggs, ham, and everything. Coffee machines were always busy - but everyone loves coffee!

Good location and not a bad hotel.

Room was clean and comfortable. Very basic facilities. Staff really good except for a couple of female receptionists who were ok but not overly helpful. All the same overall experience was pleasant. The fact that the a Wellness Centre was not available was very disappointing and picture of sauna should be removed from promo pictures. Breakfast was continental style only.

Convenient stay for Cagliari airport

We had a 2 night stay prior to an early flight from Cagliari airport which is an easy 10 min drive to the airport and there is a petrol station next door to the hotel for refuelling your rental car. Good car parking in the hotel grounds. Check in was straightforward if a bit lacking in warmth and information both of the hotel facilities and the local area. The standard double room was bigger than many hotel doubles with a nice bathroom. The room decor was a bit dated with a heavy bedcover which I suspect isn't changed between guests but otherwise the room and bathroom were clean with daily fresh towels. Amenities included a minbar fridge, but no in room tea/coffee, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The hotel wifi was great when it was working but on the first night you couldn't log on, possibly the system couldn't cope with the number of guests trying to use it. The are 2 options for getting into Cagliari if you don't want to drive; train with the Assimini Carmine station 2 streets away and the bus with the stop about 20m away on the same side of the street. Breakfast was a self service buffet which was adequate but nothing special. Best dinner option is the pizzeria directly across the road. Overall a good option close to Cagliari airport.

We came here by chance and found it a great place for nice relaxing break with a great local vibe. Found a local pizza bar with wood fired pizza's ( the Tommy Macs of Assemini) or whatever your favorite take away is in your town. Need to put ashtrays on balconey for smokers to stop them useing flower pots.

Great Experience at the Grillo Hotel

The Grillo Hotel perfectly suited our needs. We had a Junior Suite with lots of room to spread out and work and a nice balcony. We walked down the road and had dinner at Il Maratoneta, where the food and service was excellent. The drive to the airport in the morning was effortless. Finding the rental car return was a bit difficult as it is not signposted once you are on the airport property.

Hotel a 15km do centro da cidade e a 10m do aeroporto. Ideal se tiver carro e pretender explorar outras zonas da ilha. Fácil estacionamento (possuiu parque gratuito). Pequena piscina e centro fitness, restaurante. Por detrás do hotel existe uma linha de caminho de ferro que poderá provocar ruído incómodo nos quartos voltados para as traseiras.
A localidade onde está situado não possui grandes pontos de interesse mas possui alguns restaurantes, gelataria, posto combustível, supermercado e outros serviços de interesse.

Our stay was most enjoyable. The staff were helpful and welcoming. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. The buses stopped just a few yards outside the hotel and were very frequent. We would have no hesitation in staying there again if we were in the area.

The food in the restaurant was fantastic (though a little pricey). There was a mix-up with the hotel shuttle, which the hotel manager blamed on us because we were not at the correct waiting area? (We were directed to door #7 from the arrivals area by the information desk at the airport, and apparently, according to the hotel manager, the shuttle was waiting at door #2 in the departures area . . . ) We were not even greeted by him when we came in the door after finally arriving by taxi (25 Euro, and the hotel was only 10 minutes from the airport, near Oleggio, though not walking distance to anywhere). The hotel is clean, and the room was quite nice (Jr. suite). They do have a taxi service that they call at a reduced rate, who will take you to Oleggio, a quite charming town, with a great little restaurant recommended by the taxi driver--family run and owned for a long time. So we had a nice stay in spite of the manager's attitude and shuttle mix-up, and location in the middle of nowhere.

Not as good as advertised...

Even though this hotel serves (mostly?) guests leaving Sardinia by plane (its very close to the Cagliari International), breakfast was served from 7:30am. We had a flight to catch at 8am so while checking out around 6am we were helped by the front desk staff with a croissant and almost cold (milk?) cappuccino. That was awful. The hotel room drapery did not work, the air conditioner was loud and the room smelled cigarette butts. So overall experience was not good at all. One positive note: the connection from the hotel to the airport is very simple and short (10min). And one more thing - if you want to fill up the tank of your rental before you drop it off arrive before 6:30pm as the gas stations in town close around that time. Or get yourself some cash to fill up at an automated pump as it not always (never?) accepts foreign credit cards.

Great conveniences for low price

Huge sleeping and living quarters, excellent furnishings and wonderful shower. Breakfast options not overflowing but still filling. Very restful, despite the large restaurant/bar crowd downstairs. Not in an otherwise lively part of town but on a road strewn with fuel stations to fill up the rental car on the quick dash to the airport. Staff had to unlock the secure parking for me to leave and return again in the early morning (dropped off my mother for a flight hours before mine). They did so with a smile, and without keeping me waiting. Cleaning staff very courteous as well.

Convenient for Cagliari

Good place to stay and 25 30mins from the city centre but it takes more time to nice beaches (min 45 60mins). A very nice pool is open until late. Large clean rooms and helpful staff. Nice gelataria nearby and a couple of restaurants. Good value for money if you are prepared to use à car.

Hotel Grillo is conveniently located close to Cagliari's airport, and a short drive or bus ride to the city center. There are some very good restaurants close to the hotel and in the hotel itself.

The rooms were clean, spacious and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

More 3* than 4*

Went here for mini honeymoon, main one next year. Stayed 5 nights. Found hotel ok, only 10 mins from Cagliari airport. When arrived, was not impressed by standard room but was given upgrade - new room much better, not quite 4* but cosy and clean. Room had TV, some satellite channels, sofas, small balcony, very comfy large bed, small hydromassage bath and very basic hairdryer in bathroom.

Hotel has nice swimming pool and gym. Does a sauna, but the hotel have not been given the license to open this yet. The hotel is also next to a railway line and the airport - can be a little noisy.

Found all staff to be very friendly, particularly those on reception who spoke good English too. They would advise us on good beaches to go to, such as Chia and Villasimius (both a good hour´s drive away). There were other beaches only 20 mins away but we wanted to go to the better ones. Also went in Cagliari, about 20mins away, not too much to see but gave us something different to do other than going to the beach.

Ate in hotel 2 nights as only a couple of other restaurants in the area - a nice pizzeria a few doors along and a little italian up the road. Neighbourhood seemed quite safe, though not many shops or restaurants around. Hotel food very good, reasonably priced too. Waiters Ignaccio and Luca were excellent. Breakfasts were basic continential, quite nice, ended at 9.30am.

Overall, would say that this hotel is ideal for a stop over for the airport or business meeting, but not for tourists. The staff made the stay pleasant but the hotel was more like a 3* than 4* and we probabaly wouldn´t go back again for our holiday break.

Overall this Hotel was satisfactory the room was clean and comfortable , some of electic switches were broken, still worken but concerning . the air conditioning was inaficient making roovery hot but this was August the hotest time temps arond 30 degrees. breakfast ok - continental, resturant closed for August for annual hols. Staff freindly and helpful overall a excellent choice for overnight or weekend, but may not suit for longer stays

Ideal para relajarse unos días, lejos de Cagliari

Queda situado a unos 20 minutos de Cagliari en coche, ideal si no querés quedarte en medio del quilombo del centro. Fue una sorpresa agradable luego de haber estado en otro sitio y totalmente disconforme. La verdad que el sitio es excelente, el personal muy atento y con ganas siempre de hacerse entender y solucionar las cuestiones. La piscina es hermosa, el ámbito también y todo muy tranquilo. Pasó un día que limpiaron la habitación se llevaron las toallas pero no las repusieron, avisamos a la recepción, fuimos a la piscina y cuando volvimos nos habían dejado las toallas dentro de la habitación. Todo mas que bien.

L hôtel mérite un bon coup de rafraîchissement. L’extérieur ne donne pas envie et la décoration intérieure n’est pas chaleureuse.
Les chambres sont entièrement à refaire la peinture s’écaille les murs sont défraîchis et la décoration date des années 60.
Piscine fermée alors que ce n’était stipulé nulle part lors de notre réservation.

Cependant quelques points positifs sont a noter:
- L’hôtel est plutôt bien situé, à proximité a pied de plusieurs restaurants et à 15 m de voiture du centre de Cagliari
- Personnel (accueil-femme de ménage-staff du restaurant) sympathique et agréable

Non dovrebbe essere un hotel a 4 stelle. Struttura un po’ vecchia, non abbastanza ristrutturata.
Scarsa pulizia nelle camere, dove c’era anche muffa sulle pareti. Colazione povera, c’erano sempre le stesse poche pietanze ogni giorno. Coda al buffet e personale in sala poco attento alla clientela. Nessuno ha mai chiesto green pass per la consumazione della colazione al chiuso e ogni giorno c’era parecchia gente seduta ai tavoli.

Migliore scelta per confort, sport e buon cibo.

Secondo anno di fila che alloggio presso la struttura.
Da dove cominciare? Assemini, fuori Cagliari offre la comodità della vicinanza alle zone industriali e la vicinanza alla città qualora si volesse cenare nel centro, senza sorbirsi il traffico in entrata e uscita. L'albergo, struttura familiare gestita elegantemente e funzionalmente, si presenta pulito e curato. Le camere sono spaziose come si deve in un 4*, il bagno ampio anch'esso offre la possibilità di organizzare vari set da viaggio senza limitarsi nei movimenti, doccia accogliente e ampia. Il ristorante con la possibilità di scegliere fra menù fisso o a la carta con ampia scelta anche durante il Covid...e ovviamente cucinato bene. La palestra è talmente fornita e ben curata che è migliore di molte altre palestre che fanno solo quello di lavoro, non ho potuto provare la piscina perché sono sempre stato qui a Dicembre ma sono sicuro che sarebbe ottima dato lo spazio e la buona esposizione al sole fino a tarda sera. L'Hotel Grillo si conferma una garanzia.

Très mauvaise surprise, chambre datant des années 60 ne correspondant à aucune des photos sur le site hotel.com et sur le site de l hôtel. Moquette usée, rideau électrique troué, vieille armoire, tuyau baignoire usagé, tâche au plafond, chbre donnant sur derrière station service. Personnel de la réception pas aimable et pas compréhensif qd nous avons dit notre mécontentement.
Avons dû payer un supplément de 10€ par nuit pour changer de chbre.
Après cette mésaventure, bon séjour ds nouvelle chambre. Piscine super. Petit déjeuner copieux.

Hôtel sympathique à Ansemini!

Hôtel très sympathique dans la petite ville locale d’Ansemini, située à 15 mins de Cagliari. La piscine est très agréable, malgré sa proximité avec une petite voie ferrée. Le personnel est quant à lui très accueillant et la propreté est bien au rendez vous. Nous le recommandons.

Séjour agréable au \"Grillo\" d'Assemini\"

2 nuits dans cet hôtel avant retour en France.
Assemini est une ville proche de la capitale Cagliari, arrêt de bus proche de l'hôtel, bien situé dans Assemini, le restaurant n'était ouvert en ce mois de mars que pour le petit déjeuner.
Plusieurs restaurants proche de l'hôtel donc pas grave 🙂
Pour aller à la plage, il faut se rendre à Cagliari avec le bus numéro 9, puis sur la place près du port prendre un autre bus ligne PF ou PY qui vous amène en bord de mer, de grandes plages magnifiques vous attendent, voie piétonne permettant de faire du jogging, de marcher, de promener votre animal si vous en avez un. Etc.
À Cagliari vous trouverez des boutiques pour toutes les bourses, jusqu'aux boutiques de luxe.
Ville très animée, magasins ouverts le dimanche.
Personnellement j'ai passé mon dimanche entre promenade au bord de mer, restaurant et le soir un peu de shopping.
Concernant l'hôtel, vous y trouverez également une piscine et une salle de sport.
L'accueil agréable.
Vous pourrez y deguster un bon petit déjeuner.
Pour les dames, coiffeur à proximité.
C'est la 3e fois que je séjourne dans cet hôtel et j'y retournerai à l'occasion sans problème.

Ok, ottimo hotel, posizione strategica!

Ottimo hotel , situato ad Assemini, a pochi chilometri da Cagliari. Ampia disponibilità di parcheggio, possibilità di cenare nel ristorante dell’albergo. Di fronte e poco distante non mancano pizzerie, pub e/o ristoranti.
Pulizia ok, personale disponibile, piscina tenuta bene.
Unica pecca asciugacapelli in stanza mal funzionante.

Hotel Grillo

Die Zimmer waren den Fotos entsprechend, der Pool war kleiner als erwartet. Die Zimmer waren von Anfang an staubig und der Zimmerservice eher schleißig. Das Personal an der Rezeption hat sich hin und wieder unpassend verhalten, z.B. hat ein Rezeptionist um 21 Uhr nach unseren Reisepässen verlangt, (wir haben schon geschlafen, da wir eine sehr lange und anstrengende Zugfahrt hinter uns hatten) obwohl wir sie ihm schon beim Einchecken geben wollten und er meinte dass wir das später machen können.
Ein weiteres Mal kamen wir zurück ins Hotel und wurden darüber informiert, dass der Zimmerservice unser Zimmer nicht reinigen wollte, da es (zugegebenermaßen) schon sehr unordentlich war. Das wäre noch halbwegs im Rahmen gewesen (obwohl man auch für den Zimmerservice bezahlt), aber der Rezeptionist hat von dem Zimmer und demnach auch von unseren privaten Gegenständen Fotos gemacht, was absolut gar nicht geht.

Da rivedere il suo servizio.

Salve. Il soggiorno è stato discreto. Alcune pecche della struttura. Primo segno negativo, nonostante camera doppia per due volte mancavano gli asciugamani. Saponi schampo e sapone insufficiente, mancava il minimo che di solito in strutture del genere si trovano,colazione non tutti i prodotti erano freschi, pane e cornetti del giorno prima...per una struttura a 4 stelle non è ammissibile una cosa del genere...conoscevo la struttura per averci alloggiato in passato ma non avevo avuto questa percezione..
Indubbiamente da rivedere il servizio....la vasca da bagno i soffioni doccia in pessime condizioni.

Bra hotel med tråkig frukost.

Vi var ett par på två veckors rundresa på Sardinien. Bodde två nätter på hotel Grillo. Rummet var mycket rent och snyggt, bekvämt på alla sätt och vis. Bra pool på innergården restaurang området helt ok.
Det enda negativa var frukosten, ett fyrstjärnigt hotel borde vara bättre än vad de var. Vi kom ner 45 min innan stängning då var ägg och bacon slut, croissanterna likaså. Vattnig juice och tråkigt bröd. Usel frukost annars mycket bra.

Hotel proche de l'aeroport mais aussi juste a coté d'une voie ferré, du coup pas mal de nuisance. Service sympathique (reception et restaurant) mais propreté a revoir entierement (chambre vieillote, insecte, infiltration et couloir sinistre. Valable pour une etape mais cher vu le prix.

l'hotel è molto carino nella sua semplicità. la pulizia impeccabile. il personale gentilissimo e professionale. ho trascorso 12 notti in questo hotel ed ho dormito sonni profondi. né il treno né gli aerei che passano in vicinanza hanno mai creato fastidio. la piscina è piccola ma molto graziosa. personalmente l'ho comunque usata assai poco perché ogni giorno mi spostavo nelle varie spiagge, sia ad est sia ad ovest di Cagliari. il tempo è stato splendido e il vento piacevole del sud Sardegna ha reso la calura più che sopportabile.

The pictures are nicer then real situation

We had announced our check in at 14.00 pm, but the room was not ready. So we had to wait for one hour in the hall.
In fact the ground around the swimming pool is small. For the swimmingpool you need to bring towels of your own. A few chairs at the pool need repair.
The hotel in general need maintenance and repair on some spots. Rooms are noisy, you hear the guests in the surroundings room.

Hotel normal en barrio bastante regular.

La habitación era amplia con las ventanas rodeadas de moho , la piscina pequeña. Pasa el tren todo el rato al lado y hace mucho ruido. Querían cobrarnos por desayunar una niña de 5años 10€, excesivo, en otros hoteles de 4 estrellas pagamos por ella 5€. La atención del personal mala, casi ni saludan y con malas caras. Desayuno escaso y bajo nivel. No lo recomiendo.

QUATTRO NOTTI NEI PRESSI DI CAGLIARI

Situato ad Assemini, paese poco significativo a 15 km circa da Cagliari. Da venerdì a domenica l'hotel era al completo: la colazione era poco e male organizzata e c'era anche del baccano nella hall e nei corridoi. La situazione è un po' migliorata lunedi e martedì quando c'era un minore affollamento. La camera era spaziosa ma sul retro è vicina alla ferrovia e i treni che passano si sentono tutti anche a porte chiuse. Nel complesso sufficiente. Prezzo della colazione 10 euro del tutto fuori luogo.

Grosses, einfaches Hotel

Ich war 2 Tage dort und es hat mir prinzipiell nicht schlecht gefallen. Leider waren Bauarbeiten im Gang, was am Pool und auf dem Balkon störte. Zudem wurden die Sitzkissen an meinem Ankunftstag am 30. Oktober weggeräumt, trotz 25 Grad Aussentemperatur. Man hatte irgendwie das Gefühl, dass man stört. Es fehlt ein Bademantel, um zum Pool zu gehen.
