This property was set in a rural hillside offering views of the Valpedre valley. Not only is this a sophisticated hotel but the property boasts fantastic facilities for all ages. The staff, especially the Manager André were super friendly and nothing was a bother. André was forever checking in with us to see how we were and if there was anything he could do for us. He also assisted us with some sight seeing expeditions which were great. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The bedroom was left spotlessly clean, and the bed was made every day. I would highly recommend this hotel for its friendliness, cleanliness, value for money and it has a real escape feel. A hidden gem in Penafiel.

This hotel far exceeded expectations. The beautiful, well-appointed, classy facility was located in a gorgeous setting surrounded by vineyards. The parking lot had orange and lime trees at the edge. The manager's enthusiasm about the property and his job was contagious...oh, and don't forget he speaks multiple languages fluently. I hope to have the opportunity to visit this property for a longer stay.

A fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting. Obviously a lot of thought and care has been put into making this a top hotel and it really pays off. The owners/staff were all very friendly and so helpful with suggestions for the area. All areas were lovely, from the bedrooms to common areas and pool. Stayed here for a week in mid July. On arrival Andreas was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Throughout the holiday he was attentive and couldn’t do more for us. The rest of the staff were great too. The pool was stunning, the room was gorgeous. The only downfall was the hotel restaurant was closed the week we were there as it was quiet and the staff were on holiday. There aren’t many places to eat near by, we had a car and could drive to the local grill but other than that you’d struggle to find anywhere.

A 10 room gem of the rural quinta class of hotels.
Driving up the long, winding, cobblestone driveway, I was sure I had made a mistake and turned into a private residence. From the meticulously manicured gardens to the overall clean and fresh feeling I had when I got out of my car and was inside the small lobby, attention to detail and superb customer service are the calling cards of this friendly hotel. It is quiet here, and often I had the feeling I was the only person in the hotel. My room was very large and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast featured a variety of hot and cold foods sure to please anyone. I can’t say enough about Andre and the rest of the “team” here, always available to offer suggestions on local attractions, restaurants, and other unique places to stay across Portugal. Their aim is customer service and they are quite good at it. I really didn’t want to leave this relaxing atmosphere. If you are looking for a peaceful place to enjoy, I highly recommend Hotel Rural Quinta das Quintaes.

Historic, rustic and country ambience was superb. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home.
The location is a little out-of-the-way and the historical stone and wood finishes are delightful, though the rooms feel and smell humid. This latter negative is balance out by the location's and the building's special charm.
We encourage you to go, but understand it is a couple of miles outside of town and that in the summer time your room may be humid, but fresh and cool.

Excelente Hotel Rural em pequena quinta nos arredores de Penafiel. Edifício muito bem recuperado e com excelentes instalações e comodidades (piscina com uma fantástica vista). Deixo a sugestão de existir maior flexibilidade nos preços, pois não faz sentido um hotel deste nível ter uma ocupação baixa e não se baixarem os preços.

Lorsqu'on se pose à la piscine qui se situe en hauteur, nous avons une vue magnifique à presque 360°, sur les collines.

La maison que nous occupions est vraiment luxueuse, de beaux matériaux, tout fonctionne correctement, seul petits bémols, la literie, matelas à ressort pas confortable, et manque de luminosité dans le logement.
Le soir, en allumant tout, on ne voyait pas grand chose.
Mais, ce sont des détails, au regard du standing de cet hôtel.
Nous sommes très satisfaits. Si nous revenons dans la région de Pénafiel, il est certain que nous retournerons à l'hotel rural quintas das quintas.

Hotel muy tranquilo, moderno y acogedor. Lo categorizaría como un hotel \"boutique\", con trato presonalizado y excelentes instalaciones. El personal de atención (André, Marcelo y otros cuyos nombres no recuerdo) nos hicieron sentir como en casa, dándonos datos de los mejores lugares a visitar. El entorno es realmente hermoso y muy seguro, rodeado de viñedos dentro de la propiedad. Las habitaciones son muy modernas, espaciosas y completas. La localización es ideal para manejar conocer los poblados y ciudades cercanas. Para visitar Porto, la estación del tren está a menos de 10 minutos en auto y es la mejor opción para llegar al centro de la ciudad sin el engorro de tráfico o estacionamiento. Este hotel es una opción muy recomendable para los que gustan vacacionar en ambientes tranquilos, seguros y con entornos rodeados de vegetación y alejados del bullicio de la urbe.
