The basics, but nothing more.

For the cost, a serviceable place to say if you need to overnight in Hai Phong. The overall appearance is worn and dingy, with stains and scuff marks everywhere. Room reeked of smoke but was clean. Staff had very minimal English, which is not necessarily a problem, just be prepared. Don't be fooled by the \"spa\" next-door - though it was an interesting experience!

It was a very relaxed break from Hanoi. Loved the floral areas along the main road. Overnight stay did not give us enough time to enjoy this city.

Good specially if you are working

The good:
The rooms are comfortable, very spacious, spotless clean, good views (at least from my room in the 7th floor). Good desk and working and sitting areas.

The bad:
The colors and decor are very boring and there is not even one piece of artwork hanging from the walls.

Grand entrance compensates for the dark, not-so-nice surroundings. Although, very close to restaurants, bars and cafes.

Bell boy was helpful and friendly. The Hotel is too run down and in bad conditions to be a 4 stars Hotel. We have booked total 2 rooms, checked in late and asked to keep a room with late checked out at 3pm so that we can fresh up. We haved email the Hotel directly one week before our arrival but no reply from them and asked again upon checking in. But our request was declined.

Clean hotel but would not stay again

Hai phong is a small town not much to see or do. We only come to visit family. Check in was straight forward, not very friendly. There was no one at the front desk during check out. We found the person sleeping on a couch in the lobby!

Amazing luxury

We didn't expect anything like this for the price! Actually a business hotel, so very well appointed (a huge room, and the biggest bed we have ever seen!), but we felt comfortable. Good buffet breakfast.

Lack of hospitality service

The breakfast service could improve by having enough food out. 45\" left and often food ran out. Sign said breakfast till 10AM. Resataurant said it's only till 9AM. False advertising. Topical of the Vietnameese culture. Need to improve hospitality service .

Clean, modern hotel with an amazing breakfast!

The hotel was very clean and modern. The breakfast was the best we had during our two week stay in Vietnam. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a great location for getting to Cat Ba Island and was also close to the train station for our next destination.

Good stay, only one complaint

Draco Thang Long Hotel is a great hotel, clean, and comfortable. The decor is a bit much, but not unlike some other hotels in the area. Staff was very friendly, and breakfast buffet was pretty great. I loved that it came with a full bathtub. It was a bit expensive for Vietnam, but I think it's reflected in the quality of the hotel. I do have a major complaint which is that when we left early morning and asked the front desk to call a taxi for us. Instead of a taxi we got some personal driver, who wanted to charge us more then double what we paid coming into the city. We were super annoyed by that, but that doesn't negate an otherwise good stay. Just make sure to make sure you're getting a reasonably priced taxi if you ask for one.

The hotel is very beautiful, clean, and comfortable. If you want to take a boat to Cat Ba Island, it is very convenient to the marina.

Great single night stay at Hi Phong

This hotel is perfectly located, at walking distance fro the pier to take the fast boat to Cat Ba. We took it for one night and it offers a great comfort for a very decent price.

Great quality hotel for the port/ferry terminal

Only stayed one night before catching ferry to Cat Ba but hotel was very good, large clean rooms and nice bed linen. It is very close to the port so good location for that but as a result not the best neighbourhood and rooms over looking the port were quite noisy till late and from early morning. As for a town view and should be fine. Good breakfast.

Interesting place. Well located in the old town, near the ferry to Cat Ba, it's an impressive building that looks 5 star. However, it feels empty. Reception was not well staffed and English was a struggle, but the staff were helpful. Room was large but no decorations. Corridors felt rather void. Buffet breakfast was okay. Overall, a strange place. Certainly not a bad stay, but it could be so much better and would really benefit from some top hotel expertise and good interior design. Lots of potential.

Twilight Zone in Vietnam

Pretty odd hotel in what may perhaps be the strangest city in Vietnam. Bad carpet, stains on the seat in our room, brilliantly mediocre breakfast. Room didn't have a shower curtain in it and the staff did offer to change our room, but we declined, due to our exhaustion from travel.

Nice hotel but really 4star

This is a relatively new hotel. The gym has only 4 machines and isnt airconditioned. There is a cupboard to put your clothes and it has a safe deposit box.the breakfast is average, it couldnt reallye a 4 star breakfast more like 3star at the very most. The staff are always friendly and try to meet your needs and thats a plus. The room service is prompt. They have a laundry service if you need it.

Its a nice stay but there is nothing much to do in hai phong unless you are visiting friends or family.

The hotel lifts are very fast and functional. I had a room that faces the cityso its nice.

We stayed here before and after going to Cat Ba.lovely hotel, clean, comfortable, spacious. Good location for the pier, easily walkable. Good breakfast. If we ever came back we would stay here again.

今回6階に宿泊したがwifiの入りが良くなかった。前回は5階の宿泊でほぼ問題はなかった。上の階はwifiの入りが良くないのだろうか？
部屋も5階のほうが綺麗だった。
立地的には近くにスーパーもあり良く。3度利用しているので改善してほしい。

Sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Großes Zimmer mit riesigem Bett aber Fußboden mit Flecken und Brandspuren. Badezimmer renovierungsbedürftig. Frühstück für Asiaten ausgerichtet. Großer Malus: direkt vor unserem Fenster ist eine Großbaustelle - eine zweispurige Autobrücke, die direkt vor dem Hotel endet. Zum Schlafen - wenn das Licht aus ist - OK - sonst lieber nicht.

Leider ist das Personal nicht fähig Englisch zu sprechen ausser an der Rezeption 1 oder 2 Personen die sehr schlecht als Recht Englisch sprachen. Nett u höflich sein war zu wenig wenn wir unser Anliegen das Personal gar nicht übermitteln könnten
Das Gäste WC im Empfangsbereich war ohne Toilettenpapier, Türklinken und Wasserhähne dreckig u rostig. Die Farbe von den Wänden blätterte ab. Also nie und nimmer 4 Sternen gerecht. .

カードキーでしたが、開かなくなり、普通の鍵になりました。少し市街地から離れていますが15分程度歩けば、レストランなど有ります。朝食は中国人向きかもしれません。ベトナムの田舎てすのでフロントの人以外英語通じません。ホテル前に待機しているタクシーではなくホテルに呼んでもらいましょうマイリンタクシーを呼んでくれます。ハノイ行きのバス停まではタクシーで15分ぐらいでした。

객실의 상태는 깨끗한 편입니다.
주변은 베트남의 현지 그대로의 모습입니다.
아침 조식은 별로여서 3박있었는데 하루만 먹었어요.
그리고 아침 룸청소를 너무 빨리 합니다. 8시 조금넘어서 벨을 누릅니다..
문앞에 고리를 미리 걸어두세요..방해하지 마세요

그리고 제일 문제점은 주위에 무슨 종교관련 시설에서 아침에 마이크로 한시간정도 연설을 합니다
정말 아침 잠을 못자고 머리가 띵해집니다..
그래서 전반적으로 평가를 좋게 줄 수없네요...

We arrived at 2am because our flight was delayed. A staff waited for us. The check-in was speedy. The staff also took time to provide info about how to get to Halong.
The breadfast was acceptable and sufficient.

Perfect as a stepping stone to Cat Ba.

Four stars, but only worth a stay as a stepping stone to Cat Ba. Very close to the harbour. Pour english knowledge, restaurant nothing special. Friendly staff.

クラッシックルームに泊まりましたが、部屋はとても広くてベッドもシングルベッド２つ分の広さで快適に眠れました。しかし、お風呂の排水溝がなかなか流れず・・困りました。部屋の掃除は行き届いていたので残念でした。
また、シャワーが長くなると途中で水になりますので、寒い時期１２月～３月は要注意です。
朝食はちょっと種類が少なくて残念。まあ、オムレツやフォーのサービスはありました。
値段からしたらまあ、妥当なほうかもしれません。
泊まっているのは西洋人は見当たらず、地元のベトナム人？サラリーマンのような人が大半で良くも悪くもローカルのホテルという感じでした。
フロントやドアマンの態度はけっこう不愛想な感じでした。
