The room looked tired, the dresser between the beds had 2 drawers which came off their runners when I opened them & wouldn't go back on. The lower right corner also was separated from the main body of the unit.

I informed both receptionists who were on duty, one showed concern while the other didn't.

No phone in the room, 2 plugs, 1 had the plug for the t.v, the other by the bed.

T.v remote, no backing covering the batteries.

Fire exit leading from the entrance on the right before getting to the 1st floor had a bolt ensuring the door remained firmly closed, was a concern.
Window outside room 206 had no latch & was open which is also a safety concern.

The hot water boiler was not working the night we stayed, so we didn't have access to hot water; however, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and requested that our overall bill be reduced due to the inconvenience. We appreciated their help and were grateful for the good customer service.

We stayed at the Queens hotel for six nights over music festival weekend. We found the hotel comfortable and unbelievably convenient to all of the venues. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Not a fancy or particularly luxurious room, a fine stay and we'd be happy to stay here again.

Clean room. You have to walk through a cafe to use the elevator. Awkward pushing suitcases through while people are enjoying their coffee, etc. Tv kept not working. Water wouldn’t get hot. Luke warm at best. Couldn’t adjust heat in the room. Had to ask staff. Staff were very kind though. Very welcoming.

The cafe was very good. The restaurant was better than average.

BE AWARE, though. The bar can be EAR SPLITTING LOUD on Fri or Sat nights.
LOUD music and crowd.
It sounded the the gates of H3LL had opened up below us, and it didn’t end until 2:30 AM.

Good enough for a one night stay, but if you are someone who likes to read before going to sleep ... bring a torch! Even with all lights turned on in the room I couldn't see the words on the page of the book I'd brought with me to read. It's one thing to have low lights in a room, it's altogether something else when the lights are so low as to be positively dim! And the shower tray had seen better days. I guess overall I'd describe this hotel as basic, but not exactly welcoming.

The bed was nice and comfortable, but that was about it, the furniture in the room old and wobbly, bathroom tiny, room very dark.
Checking in they took a €150 off the card saying it was the weekend, and if the room had no damage we would get it back in our account in a few days. By the way we're pensioners and down for a funeral.

The Hotel is situated just on the edge of a shopping area. Convenient pay to park located across the street. It is somewhat confusing to enter, as the lobby is on the second floor above a coffee shop. There is no in room air conditioning.

We had one lovely, remodeled corner room with great cross ventilation. Our second room smelled horrible on a back alley by the kitchen; very hot. Showers were great! Staff was very helpful. A bit unusual to find the reception desk. I'd stay again, but pick my room carefully

Showed up to check in at about 5pm - pretty normal time. Wandering around with our suitcases looking for where to get in. Find a random door in an alley that says check-in. It's locked. Go to the coffee shop, it's closed and locked. Go to the restaurant, the guy says \"yeah it's the door in the alley\". I said it's locked! He says \"here, you can go through the restaurant to the coffee shop and to the elevator.\" Finally get to the front desk and there is an actual person, thank god. She says \"oh my gosh how did that door get locked!\" The next day it was locked again! Insanely noisy - pub across the street from the windows that don't seal well. SUPER tiny room, with a tiny bathroom, and no control over the heat.

Room was clean and location good. Parking was several blocks away. Heed the warnings that this location is over a noisy bar! We had a drunk laying in the hallway moaning and a fire alarm went off early in the morning.

Having the hotel connected to a coffee shop, restaurant, and traditional bar was very convenient. Getting woke up at 11:30 PM by euro dance music where it felt like my bed was shaking was not so great. The only warning was “you might hear a little music tonight” when we checked in. A little was an understatement

While they did warn us that the hotel was located over a night club, nothing could have prepared us for the outrageously loud and obnoxious music. It was like you were in the club next to the DJ. The bass got into your bones. Make sure you confirm that your room is not directly above the source of the music. We could not even open the windows because of the people smoking below our windows. Could have used a fan or A/C. Did not sleep that night.

The hotel is historical and ideally located for walking through the lovely old town and for access to pubs and restaurants. The hotel restaurant served a good breakfast at a reasonable price, but breakfast was not included. Thr room was well appointed but small. There was no chair or desk. We could not turn the radiator off so we had to open all the windows to cool the room. With open windows we could hear the evening music and noise from the pub across the street which affected our sleep.

It is located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. The people we met working in the hotel and especially the folks working in the wee sandwich shop by the car park were very welcoming as were their customers!
We would love to spend several days staying here and rambling about beautiful Ennis but my wife has Alzheimer's and this may have been our last trip together after twenty Summers in Ireland. Tom Hayden

So pleasantly surprised with my stay at Queens Hotel. The reviews don’t do this brilliant wee hotel justice!

I had great service at reception upon check-in, modern spacious and comfortable room, clean bathroom with a powerful shower, and the breakfast was the best I’ve had in a hotel for a long time. It is also very well located in the centre of town and parking wasn’t a problem at all. It is free in the car park just around the corner from 6.30pm until 9.30am the next morning.

I will definitely be staying here again.

My stay in queens in Ennis was enjoyable and relaxed as i had hoped. The staff were alert and willing to help if needed. Reception went out of their way making phone calls etc when my car was boxed in at the car park . While my room was in good order the decor in the hallway is in need of upgrading. Due to the covid crisis the nightclub was not running as normal and was open only as a bar
. The hotels proximity to Cusack park and the town square made it accessible for many amenities.

Upon asking to upgrade our room staff became very hesitant and unhelpful. We had no issue with paying more it was just important to us that we did upgrade the room. We had tried to access cruizes pub at 10 o clock as we read it closed at 11 or 11:30 we were refused entry. Our room was right above cruises so we heard people continue to be served till 11:30. The room was nice the service left alot to be desired. I had hoped for more staying here for my birthday

This Hotel Badly needs a Face lift.

We spent one night in this Hotel.It is a very old and basic hotel.There is no parking so you have to park on the street car park and pay.We did not get breakfast here.At €99 for bed it is not cheap for what you get.No sanitiser at the lift entrance on the second floor.The beds were comfortable and the staff friendly.

I liked that the hotel was close to everything in Ennis. Housekeeping needed to be better, did not take out trash in our room a couple of days in a row, did not vacuum the floors at all, nor clean the restroom.

The front desk staff was great, everyone was very friendly.

The heater in the room was always on, did not like that it stayed hot in the room at all times even went the window open.

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone nor will I stay at Queens Hotel and Nightclub again.

booked for 3 nights -- night 1 we had intruder at approx. 2.40am who gained access to locked room with key card -- apologised, \"wrong room\" sorry and left -- reported incident to reception staff who informed management ???, promised to check CCTV, Key Card Machine and night porter --- about 3 hours later went back to reception desk and met same staff member who said \"was very busy and could not check\" It seems that the hotel was not concerned about the intruder so we checked out --- 4 days later no contact from the Hotel --- we have travelled a lot but this was the worst hotel service ever received

Awful. In every sense. It was hard to find. Hard to get to the room. Bed was a trampoline. No a/c music played across the street until 3 am. It was so muggy in the room. The hallway you walked down was incredibly difficult and we tripped and got hurt trying to bring luggage through the doors. I understand it was an old hotel but the shower curtain was moldy. The cold water tap didn’t work. Truly an unpleasant stay. Very cute town however and the pizza down the street was good.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Right in the heart of the town. The reception was up to flights of stairs, which was a little awkward with luggage. The room was in need of renovation, but bedlinens were clean. The bathroom was awful. Part of the cold tap missing. Toilet and shower extremely off putting. Especially the very stained toilet seat.

We chose to stay in the Queens hotel because it hosted several musical events during Fleadh Nua and those went well. What was bad was the night club music until 3am. We had bathroom issues and it took three days to get it fixed. We were there six nights for the festival and have chosen another hotel when we return for threes nights in June.

Hotel hasn't been updated in awhile. We think our room was clean but it was hard to tell because the finishings were damaged/dated (i.e. broken tiles, stained countertop). The girls working the desk were fantastic, and they warned us that there would be a bit of noise from the disco on Friday night. Having pre-paid, I don't think there was anything we could have done to avoid it, but it was way more disruptive to our sleep than we anticipated. Would not go back, but couldn't really argue with the price. Cruises, the bar associated with the hotel has an awesome atmosphere and bar staff.

Have stayed in this hotel 4 times now. Each time has been a bit worse. They moved hotel reception to the First floor and openned a coffee shop on the ground floor. To use the elevator you must go through the coffee shop. We did not have WiFi service at all in the hotel, not even the free city WiFi. The room also did not have a hair dryer. It was clean and we did get a good rate. I guess you get what you pay for. Great location but will not stay again.

The hotel room I stayed in was good and the staff were pleasant and helpful. There was no parking next to the hotel. I had to use a public parking lot (it was free from 5pm to 930am) that was about a block away. There are a lot of food and pub options within walking distance of the hotel. The night life is a little noisy and could be heard inside out second floor room.

Pictures of location were VERY deceiving! Perhaps they were taken some time ago as they do not reflect the current condition. Free WiFi advertised - not available! And yes this is a big deal when traveling out of country!! Also - no mention at time of booking or in information that you won’t be able to sleep until 4am because of the noise and rooms not I repeat NOT being sound proof! Very disappointed!!

When I arrived the reception was lovely as was the lady behind desk . The room I received was on same level as reception which faces on to the Main Street . I knew there was a night club at the back of the hotel but being at the front I was listening to the bar across the road with music till well after 1 . This was with my windows and curtains closed . The floor in the room was not level . The tv didn’t work very well. The room was cold . With no extra blanket in the wardrobe . The springs where nearly coming out of the mattress . To use the lift u come thru the coffee shop .

If you want to be in the centre of Ennis, then this is a good location. The hotel is pretty basic though. First of all you have to go upstairs to get to the reception area, then down some corridors that smell of cigarette smoke to get to the rooms. The room was ok, it was clean, the grout in the shower could do with re-doing though. The TV was useless, very bad reception like it was worked off a rabbits ears. No breakfast offered but as it's in the centre of town it's easy enough to find somewhere to get some. There's also a nightclub that creates some noise, though it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be when the receptionist told us about it upon arrival. No parking available either.

Not suitable for anyone with decreased mobility as Reception is on 1st Floor. Nightclub was far too loud!, We knew it was there when we booked but we weren’t prepared for the extreme noise which went on until 2:30am. No exit instructions on back of door in case of Fire - which we know is a legal requirement! breakfast wasn’t,t available until 8am. All in all it was very expensive for what we got. Will never go back!
