Yellow soap scum in the shower. Food juices spattered on wall. No phone or tv remote. So the lady moved us 2 doors down. That room the bed had cigarette burns on the mattress cover. She brought fresh bedding. The next morning we had ROACHEs in the shower, walls and bed side table.

I found multiple bugs in my room, I had booked for two nights in case I had to stay ( wasn’t sure how long I would be in town) but I didn’t end up needing to be there the next day so I left and just paid for the second day. At one point I opened my food that I had sitting under the tv and a roach ran across my pizza. 2 stars is being nice. I loved the front desk lady she was AMAZING but other than that I won’t stay again.

I have stayed at this hotel for more than 4 years off on as i found it to always be safe,clean,good location, as well as a friendly staff. My stay this time was from November 28-30th and as usual it was a quick friendly check-in, the room was clean,and as always i felt safe. Within an hour of me going in my room i see ROACH! I thought ok maybe it one that came in from outside. Well,it wasnt. During my stay i killed probably 25 plus roaches! Something i have never encountered at this hotel. I was going to check out and go to another hotel but due to the event i was there for (Iron Bowl) I knew that i wouldn't be able to find to stay for more than 100 miles out so i stayed. The 4 of us and the roaches. LOL! I did go to the front dest before i checked out and made the lady there aware of the situation aling with 2 housekeepers that was there with her. She said she would make the manager aware of it and it would be taken care of. I sure hope that it is bc i enjoy stayimg there and would love to stay there in the near future when i go to support my Auburn Tigers! With that being said,War Eagle and hopefully they will take care of this problem before it hurts their business!!!!

The staff is excellent. The beds were comfortable. However, the low rating is due to the smell of mildew in the room and the bugs encountered. We killed 5 small roaches. Most were on the floor but one was right by the bed on the table. The room was 350.00 a night. I think it's too much for the bug infestation. We will not return.

The no refund policy was not friendly through Hotels.com as I booked an extra room by mistake by hitting a key a second time when I didn't think the reservation went through and was forced to pay for a room I didn't need and the property did nothing to help resolve the situation or offer my room to another guest in need of a room.

The hotel is ideally located for any and all stays associated with being in Auburn. There is a Waffle House right outside your door if you are on the interstate 85 side of the hotel which is massively convenient. There are a multitude of other restaurants within a short walk or drive that range in class and cuisines to support any traveling group or individual needs. The place is clean and not 'foofy' so you can relax, rest, or enjoy yourself at your discretion. The staff is friendly, helpful, and well informed about the status of anything and everything you may need. The wifi is sufficient for streaming if you bring your own device and I was able to work from my laptop worry free because it never lagged or disconnected me while i was there. I never heard a single noise from outside the room while indoors. The bed was comfortable and there was a desk chair and a nice sitting chair that allowed for multiple uses and comfort. I will definitely look here first for availability on my next trip to Auburn.

This place was awesome - very convenient and right off the interstate. Was perfect for getting an Uber/Lyft downtown.

The breakfast was great and they had cookies and cupcakes ready for the football game.

Great job to the AU Lodge, we will definitely be staying there again!!!

Basically clean except two of the towels. Building is SO old and you can hear the highway from the room. The water from the faucet was so loud it seemed like a train was coming down the tracks. Lobby was super dated. Think updated motel 6 that is only good if you’re totally out of options on a game weekend.

From an appearance perspective, the hotel was newly remodeled, and clean. Unfortunately, the previous tenant smoked marijuana in the room, and because it was a window AC unit, there was no getting rid of the smell, even after they sprayed spray. In addition, my husband killed a cockroach. Lastly, the mattress was very loud, and so was the toilet. I’ve never heard a toilet flush as loud as this one. For the price, it wasn’t worth the stay. If the price was 1/2 what it was, I could tolerate the other things for 1 night.

It was ok. I’d give it a 75% on the cleanliness. It did have a mildew smell when you walk in. I did go buy Lysol and sprayed the room down. But it’s cheap and close to the game. Especially when every other hotel is charging 500-700 a night.

Location is easy to get to, price is good. Room was clean minus the comforter had dingy spots, bed super uncomfortable. Packing up to leave and a roach was under our clothes see picture below. Suggestions bring a fan walls are super thin not insulated you hear everything. Only other suggestion would beHK check comforters throughly, and better pillows instead of standard small pillows on a king bed try using king pillows.

Only thing I would have like to have had was a coffee pot in the room. There was plenty of coffee in the main lobby for all to use.. I will be returning to stay here my next trip to Auburn. The entire bedding reeked of dog, couch smelled like mold, house keeping barged into our bedroom as we were SLEEPING at 8 am. Afterwards housekeeping had no consideration whatsoever, they were excessively loud and playing loud music while people were trying to sleep. I requested a refund and have gotten no word back from them.

Staff lied when we returned the keys and refused to spend one night there. They told Expedia we used the room which was an untruth. They had a hand written sign on the door saying no refunds. Even after staff informed us to have Expedia call and they would refund. The property swiped your card as soon as you check in and snatched the money immediately so beware.

Both Stephanie and another older woman were very pleasant, helpful and sweet.

The room reeked of smoke from the moment we opened the door even though it was non smoking room. Both nights were sold out so couldn’t switch rooms.

The remote didn’t work so couldn’t turn tv on/off, change volume or channel (turned it on from the actual tv). Ms Stephanie kindly sent another remote up but that still didn’t work.
Room didn’t have a shower liner but she took care of that as well and had someone bring one up.

Did see two small roaches in our bathroom so we were on alert whole time.

Room served its purpose to sleep and shower while visiting for Homecoming but it is not a first place pick at all. If you like Waffle House, it sits in the same parking lot so you’re in luck. Having a little continental breakfast in the morning was a good touch

Definitely was not what I was expecting. It is right off the highway and the road noise is very loud. They have outside entrance and it was a bit sketchy. Our deadbolt didn’t work, the ac sounded like an Ice machine but they did do a nice job trying to update it. I paid over $200 for our room but it was not worth over $129 tops.

Do not stay here! We arrived to a hotel room that reeked of marijuana. The hotel had marijuana weeds stems on the floor. The bath room had roaches crawling out of the bathtub and around the baseboards. We immediately went to the front desk to address this matter. I was told to get ahold of Expedia for a refund. The manager, Diana would not approve Expedia for a refund. She stated it was a non refundable weekend and here in the South we have bugs, it is normal. Absolutely not!

BUGS! BUGS! BUGS! Do NOT stay here! There were bed bugs in the room and other bugs all over. When I left because I refuse to sleep with bugs the night worker would not even speak to me. In the morning when I messaged to get ahold of the manager they would not refund me because “they only found roaches in the room.” Terrible service and unclean bug filled rooms.

I travel a LOT and have never left a poor review before but I was blown away by how unclean this hotel was and how horrible the service was. The only redeeming quality was that the hotel is close to other hotels you can escape to when you have to leave this one.

I asked for first floor. Got second floor. They claimed that Expedia did not let them know. TV was extremely difficult to use. Front desk didn't know how to use it. Later I was given a list of channels which was worthless. First morning, pancake maker not working and coffee maker not working. Manager finally fixed them. No muffins although on the menu. Second morning, biscuits and gravy had no gravy, but cold biscuits!! Room air conditioner had to be put on 63 degrees to work at all. Bathroom door unusually squeaky. Mattress unusually noisy.

The hotel was a little run down. We could smell pot in the room from the time we checked in. We had to go to Wal-Mart to buy Lysol to cover up the smell. The guests on both sides of us were loud and you could hear them clearly through the walls. As we were going to bed, the smell of pot started filling up the room again possibly from the rooms on each side of us. I let the front desk know and her response was that they would check out those rooms when they left and charge them if needed. I didn't expect a free night but at least apologize and maybe follow up...

Great stay and clean room but the parking isnt great if you're on the back side of the property. We had to park on the other side of the hotel and the room was on the other side. The hot water in the shower isnt hot at all,very luke warm glad it wasnt winter month when i staued there.

This motel looks nice and clean and safe from the outside but it is not what it seems. There are apparently homeless people staying there and begging for money to pay their ‘rent’. Not to mention the roaches,not just bugs, but roaches in the rooms. My mother and aunt had to empty all of their belongings and shake them
out before loading them in the car just so no bugs went along. Needless to say this was the first and it will be the last time we will stay at Auburn Lodge. Do Better!

The staff was very nice and friendly. However my sheets were wrinkled like someone was just on it, and there was hair on the bed and pillow as well as in the shower. I requested new sheets, and the staff did give me new ones. The cereal at breakfast was also stale, the only thing we had at breakfast was the yogurt.
The room requested was a non-smoking room, but when we opened the door, we were hit with the smell of cigarette smoke.

My boyfriend and I were originally placed in room 107. The room did not have a refrigerator or a phone. Since I had my two puppies with me, they found a roach and brought it up onto the bed while we were at the vending machine and chewed it and it was gross. I’ve then went to the front desk and she switched us to room 106.
