All the things you need in a great hotel stay, great views, right across from the beach, good breakfast buffet, comfy bed and pillows, good wifi and air conditioning.

Stayed for 9 nights, loved it, unfortunate about the construction across the road with a new Nobu restaurant and apartment complex being built. The staff asked about the noise and it didn’t bother me enough to move rooms when offered so…

This was my second visit to Da Nang, and I once again chose the Stella Maris Beach Resort — it’s become my go‑to hotel whenever I’m in the city. I always book a room with a panoramic view of My Khe Beach, and it never disappoints. Waking up to those views is simply amazing.

The hotel itself is excellent: tranquil, well maintained and very comfortable. The swimming pool and sky bar are definite highlights and provide a relaxing atmosphere whether you want to unwind during the day or enjoy the evenings.

What I really like about this hotel is how well it caters to everyone — from solo travellers to couples and families. It has a very welcoming, family‑orientated feel while still being peaceful and relaxing.

The location is another big plus. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to My Khe Beach and close to plenty of entertainment options, restaurants and cafés, making it very convenient without feeling crowded.

Overall, an outstanding hotel that I continue to return to and would happily recommend to anyone visiting Da Nang.

The videographer for the hotel was top notch, because while it looked similar in real life, it felt much smaller than the video. Most of the staff were excellent, others seemed indifferent. Breakfast is pretty nice, so are the drinks at the pool bar, but outside of that - I wouldn’t recommend the hotel food at all. Bring your own bath gel and shampoo, theirs had an odd scent. Overall nice place and perfect location, but construction of new hotel in front of Stella Maris definitely impacts beach views

This has been the best hotel by far that I have ever stayed in Vietnam. The staff bend over backwards to make sure that we were comfortable and happy. One staff member had overheard me talking to my husband about how loud kids were on our hallway on our floor and he and the front desk girl offered to changed our room for us without us asking. They also made sure that we had car service free of charge the next day when checking out since we had asked for late checkout, but they could not accommodate because they were fully booked. The breakfast buffet was by far the best we’ve had in Vietnam as well. This was my third trip and I’ve stayed in 10+ hotels at this point and again this was the best.

Room was very spacious for the one with double single beds but not so much for the one with one queensized bed. I found the toilet to be a little strange because the sink is outside (the tap is quite loud too) and there is nothing behind the sink. If you place your toiletries at the sink, it can fall and break (there isn't much space to place it elsewhere either). It made things rather inconvenient especially when someone uses the toilet while everyone else is sleeping... Breakfast was just ok. Service was ok, just that we waited quite a while for our luggages when they told us they would send it upstairs right away. I only got my luggages when I made a call to the reception.

The staff here are incredible. Daisy helped us out a lot. The rooftop pool and bar are nice. The location is amazing and the room had a great view. There were just some small things like little holes in the ceiling or stains on the wall, some dusty areas like the plants and ceiling ledge and mildew in the corner of the shower. The breakfast was good and the shuttle service was really helpful. The wifi was dropped off constantly, but I never asked to fix it because I had data. We got free drinks and a 60 minute massage for our VIP level. The spa rooms door couldn't close and the robes didn't fit leaving us feeling exposed as people walked by. I would recommend this place, if the little things don't bother you.

The staff were lovely, as in most places in Vietnam, but for a high rated hotel, there is so much they could be doing better. This was our third and final stay while on our two week trip and was supposed to be the “go out with a bang” finale, but was the least impressive. I don’t want to complain, but have some suggestions for the future and perhaps things for others to consider while planning.

Upon arrival at our room it was very hot. The air conditioning kept shutting off even when we left a room key in the slot. It was looked at three times before moving us to another room “only to sleep” and then the next day was confusing as to moving back or moving fully into the next room.

Rooms were modern but not practical. Nowhere to put your toiletries, toilet paper mounted on the back wall instead of beside the toilet, a semi-sheer privacy curtain in the glass-footed bathroom, soaked bathroom floor after a shower. Nowhere for luggage.

The elevators were always busy and full.

The spa was not relaxing or very professional. Very nice staff, as mentioned, but loud, cold, and not what you would expect at a hotel.

Construction happening on both sides very loud and all day from early. Very busy corner and very difficult area to cross the street to the beach.

No currency exchange service or mail service.

Construction happening in pool area and the pool toys were cracked and broken life rings.

We were disappointed as our first two hotels were amazing for less

We had a great stay overall.

Front desk/reception: they were friendly and wonderful staff. Fast check-in and they upgraded us to have better experience! I had 2 compliment drink vouchers but had issues redeeming them at the rooftop lounge.

Rooftop lounge: service was ok. There seem to be miscommunication within the staff on when the complimentary vouchers can be redeemed. We were told we couldn’t redeem it until the next day but were leaving early for airport. Then they said we could use it at breakfast no problem only to find out the restaurant doesn’t take them.

This made it confusing and a little frustrating.

Restaurant: we were the only one dining; food was good overall.

Spa: good overall.

I can not recommend this hotel enough! Stella Maris was absolutely amazing! The staff was the best part of my stay. They were so supportive and accommodating. We received a free hour massage, free drinks and offered car services to our next accommodation. The breakfast was delicious and had so many choices! The views were perfect. The pool and cocktails were perfect! I will definitely be back here to stay again.

This was our standout accomodation while travelling throughout Vietnam. From the kind staff to hotel facilities, everything was 5 stars. The rooftop pool area was a delight to take a morning dip or have sunset drinks at with a spectacular view. Not to forget- the buffet breakfast was simply delicious with so many traditional and western food options.

Stella Maris was a decent hotel to stay at in Da Nang. Super close and convenient if you want to go to My Khe Beach (maybe a 3-5 min walk) as its literally right across. Lots of breakfast options as well. Downside is, it was a little noisy. There’s a new hotel being built right across the street, which was quite loud. Also, during our first morning, we were woken up by the sound of hammering as staff was replacing the carpet on our floor at around 7am. Then the next day after that, 2 rooms on our floor were completely being renovated… again at around 7/8am. We were unable to sleep in and enjoy a relaxing vacation.

We were given a voucher to their spa since our room was the biggest room they had. The spa was great and the messages were amazing. Unfortunately Nobu is building a hotel right next to this facility causing the view to be on construction and the beach! We were not aware of this until arrival. The staff were very accommodating and understanding with this frustration and offered a foot message for the inconvenience. i can truly say their staff went over and beyond and the stay was amazing!

A nice enough room, but with the view of a neighbouring wall it wasn't great! Also badly planned/laid out. Just things in bad places so it seemed little thought had gone into it's design. Pool area was fine but not as impressive as photos suggested I'd say.
The staff though were lovely and the breakfast was great... Maybe the best we had. Also in a very good location, although further south along the beach would have been that bit more central to most of the action.

The breakfast was decent, the place was clean, and the staff is wonderful! The hotel in general could use some updating. The gym was old and small and hot with no AC. There is no streaming services to log into so there is nothing to watch unless you want French news. Forget about the wifi it never works and cushions for the chairs by the pool desperately need to be replaced. They are gross. They did let us check out late and gave us a complimentary ride to and from the airport.

Was very impressed with this hotel. The location is great, as the beach is just across the street. The hotel offered a large buffet breakfast of asian and western foods. Cleaning of rooms was always done and refreshed towels daily, especially after a day at the beach. The hotel has a roof top pool and bar that offers a relaxing time and great views. It was never busy which made it very comfortable. All staff are so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very attentive and always quick to open doors, which I appreciated. However, overall the hotel and customer service felt very mediocre for the price we paid.

The photos online are misleading—they appear AI-enhanced and make the rooms look much more spacious than they actually are. In reality, the rooms felt smaller and more cramped.

The bathroom setup was one of the biggest issues. There are no curtains or proper separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, so every time someone showers, the entire toilet area floor gets soaked. On top of that, the room floors are extremely slippery, and the provided slippers actually made it worse, which felt unsafe.

We stayed for 6 days, and unfortunately, it did not feel worth the cost.

We were given connecting rooms for our family of four, which was convenient in theory, but the doorways were very narrow. At one point, my kids slightly moved the beds and we noticed the floors underneath were extremely dirty.

Additionally, our bedroom was missing the full set of curtains, which affected both privacy and comfort.

Overall, while the staff was kind, the hotel itself did not meet expectations.

The rooms are quite clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They quickly resolved a small issue we had with the room upon check-in. When we called service to fix a light near the door, the maintenance team arrived promptly, fixed it, and also made sure to clean up any mess left behind.

Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared—I especially loved the pho and sticky rice.

I’d also like to give a special mention to a staff member named Mi, who was incredibly friendly and always made customers a top priority. She was especially helpful when there was a language barrier with other staff, and she always took the time to patiently explain the hotel's rules and guidelines.

I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to the beach, the food street, and the city!

Stayed in the Stella Maris suite, and it is likely the most beautiful room i have ever seen.

The location was perfect, as was the the wraparound windows, showing a 180 degree view of my khe beach.

The entire experience from airport pick up to check out was 10/10. Also the complimentary breakfast buffet, felt like a spmething that would cost at least $50 USD at most places.

The room and accommodations were wonderful. The staff was extremely courteous and tended to every request. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. It had a wide variety of choices to include Vietnamese, American, Korean, and British breakfast items. The rooftop bar had a beautiful view of the sea. The rooftop pool was very clean and well kept. The maid service was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is ideal. Just across the street from the beach and only minutes away from the dragon bridge. The staff assisted us with travel plans, printing paperwork, an airport shuttle service. We could not have asked for a better stay. We spent 30 days at the property and never had a single issue. Arriving late night. Flight was delayed. Hotel was great at communication and had driver there to pick us up as complimentary. Also helped me with Whatsapp (am a senior) and assisted my wife using ‘Grab’ taxi service. All staff very polite and attentive. Highly recommend and have already mentioned to friends coming to Da Nang. Great service. Beautiful people. We’re Canadian. Great experience.

I didn’t like the bathroom. The sink was separate and located outside bathroom. When using bathroom at night the light at the sink on very bright affects to others sleeping. It was not convenient for using. Shower don’t have door so water came out everywhere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good location. The only thing I didn’t like was sink located outside bathroom. Water valve flew strongly made a big mess every time we used it.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with fresh tropical fruit and delicious yoghurt. The hotel spa has great massage services with special discounts that make it affordable and convenient for hotel guests. Overall, a wonderful hotel in a prime location across from the beach.

Room was oddly laid out with ablution sink in the room away from toilet/shower. Beds were comfortable. Buffet was ok. Good location across from beach. Staff very nice and helpful. Overall, good hotel in a good location!

We had a wonderful time at your hotel. Staff are super friendly and courteous. Also the pool lounge the bartender was kind to honor our drink tickets, despite damaging the coupon. Would recommend to future guest, and would love to come back.
