Problematic check in - we booked a classic twin with city view but were given a double room. We asked for a different room (twin) but were then given an inferior, cheaper room with a view of a wall and small balcony (too small for chairs). When we said we were not happy with the 2nd room we were offered 2 more inferior, cheaper rooms rather than the city view we had booked. Eventually we were given the room we booked! This all wasted 1hour 15 minutes of our time. We were not offered welcome drink like the previous time we stayed here and when we asked about it we were told to pour it ourselves! Only 1 bedside lamp in the twin room and it did not work. The safe was locked so more time wasted getting that sorted. Room too hot as in April it is set to heating rather than air conditioning. No shower curtain. We booked 2 nights but in separate bookings. I emailed before to explain and ask if we could simply stay in the same room. They said they would let us know at check in but when we checked in they said they had no knowledge of the message and could not tell us until the next morning if we needed to move rooms. We eventually spoke to the manager who confirmed the sane room could be used the 2 days.

Positives - great location, comfortable bed, good choice for breakfast.

Pros: Awesome gym! And a good breakfast, comfortable room with balcony in a perfect location

Cons: two small things would have made this trip far better:
1. either a shower curtain and/or plug that fit the bathtub. Showering sprayed the whole bathroom and a bath was impossible because the water wouldn’t hold

2. A do not disturb sign. A cleaner came in while I was changing, apologized but then never tried to clean again the rest of my stay!

Great staff at reception, good superior room with comfortable double bed. Pity the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and safe didn't work. Pool facilities looked good but we didn't use them as there was limited sun and no sun shades. Breakfast was noisy and quite cramped and the selection limited, not what we had experienced at a similar local hotel. Overall a comfortable stay centrally located.

The staff were amazing, front desk so helpful, breakfast was constantly being refreshed and checked, our room was cleaned every day without fail with new towels too. We were upgraded at check in which was also nice. The hotel’s pool area is sufficient and the rooms are too though some parts are still needing a refresh, the bathroom was spacious enough but the shower door wouldn’t close properly and always made the floor very wet after use but we got on with it without a fuss. Beds were large and comfortable, the gym was newly done and lovely, however air con had broken whilst we were there, it didn’t stop us but was incredibly sweaty! Also found that there were some complimentary drinks in ice buckets on the bar - water, juices and prosecco! Very walkable location to beaches, restaurants, old town alike.

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Upon arrival, we were met by a lovely receptionist. There is a lift to the rooms. We were on the 4th floor. The bedroom was spacious however could do with a deep clean and refurb. There were parts of the wall that were damaged and the shower in the bathroom kept leaking under the door when in use. We had a balcony but wasn’t wide enough to put a chair to sit out and you overlooked another hotel, but was nice for the breeze. The bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is a short walk from the bus station, restaurants and old town.

The hotel breakfast had lots of options but some of the food was dry.

You could hear the next door room guests talking, laughing or having a shower - the walls are very thin. There was also drilling starting around 7am.

Pool area is nice with lovely loungers, kept clean.
Hotel is clean, the staff take great pride in keeping it this way
Reception team are kind, polite, always say hi and help where and if you need it. We felt this really made our stay.
Great breakfast selection, not too busy.
Beds are comfortable and very big
Situated away from the main busy tourist areas but surrounded by local restaurants and coffee places which all sell much nicer food.
Walkable to the busier areas / port etc.

Overall as two female travellers always felt very safe in area and in hotel

- Rooms are nice but are somewhat dated, our bathroom had old peeling silicone.
- Noise really travels through the vent syatem - we had a very loud quest next door who came back at midnight and made noise until 2am. Reception did kindly sort this when we informed them of it.
- TV only had 4 working channels, I didn't inform reception of this as it wasn't a massive issue (the area around is too beautiful to be watching TV!).

Ok, but staff a bit rude

The hotel was modern, clean and tidy. The room was small but suitable for a 1 night stay. Staff on reception during check-in were not very friendly and charged me for the room, even though I had paid by using my saved vouchers. This was rectified later in the day by the manager. There was no secure place to leave luggage and we were told that we could just put our bags outside the gym. Not ideal and didn't want to leave our belongings in such a public area. We actually went to another hotel to leave our bags as they were much more accommodating.

Fab hotel. Much better than expected!

I didn’t know what to expect with the hotel, however, my expectations were exceeded. I was solo travelling and felt very safe at this hotel and surrounding area. Angela downtown is in a perfect location- to the beaches and old town/port. Great restaurants close by if you fancy a quick meal. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and served in a room near the reception. The pool was much better than the photos- multiple places to sunbathe in the sun/shade. My room was great, floor 4 with lovely views of the city. I had the superior double which was lovely, big bed and good size room/ bathroom. The hotel has nearly completed building a gym which looked great and a fab addition to this great hotel. I’d recommend it :)

We stayed for a week in the Deluxe room and had an amazing stay. The room was large and the bed was a kingsize. The pool and area around it was clean and well kept and the sun loungers we're like beds so very comfortable. The breakfast wasn't the best but there was plenty of options. The hotel is well located with the old town and beaches being a few minutes walk away. Finally the hotel staff were all really friendly. If we were to return to Rhodes I would definitely stay here again.

This was my first (but not my last) trip to Rhodes Island in Greece. My whole experience was excellent. The staff at Angela hotel were amazing and made me feel welcome and at home. I look forward to coming back again. Dina, who worked at the front desk, was especially sweet and helpful. I never felt like I was bothering her and she always had a solution for my problem. I was there during the time there were fires on the island, but this did not affect my stay at all. If I hadn't heard it ahead of time, i would have never known there were fires happening. The room was immaculately clean and the beds were SO comfortable! The pool was very nice as well. You won't be disappointed.

disappointing

always hesitant to leave a bad review but in this case it's more of a warning to others- I saw all the great reviews for this hotel and was so excited to stay here but the experience was one of the worst stays I have ever had in a hotel. firstly the room I was put in for the 1st 3 nights had a tv that was probably 50 yrs old and did not work at all even though the hotels details say satellite tv- and there was no balcony. when I asked about this I was told that I would be moved in a few days to the actual room I booked- once in the new room the tv needed to be hooked up to a cable with bunny ears to work and still only worked half the time- also the walls are paper thin so you hear every noise from the hallway and the other rooms-perhaps it was just my bad luck but every night ( 22 days I stayed ) people were yelling and banging doors at all hours so I barely slept and the icing on the cake was having someone from the next room- drunken young man come bursting through my balcony door at 2 am while I was sleeping and instead of kicking him and his group out all they did was move him to another floor so I got to live in fear of him doing it again for the last three days of my stay :( horrible- that being said the staff at breakfast were amazing and sweet at Oktober Hotel next door and Xristos and Athena were very nice and apologetic- also cleaning staff were great but don't stay here if you like to sleep at all. :( or like to feel safe in your room.

When we arrived here we were informed that the hotel would be closing for the season so we would be relocated to another hotel.
I was not informed of this at my booking so was slightly annoyed at this and having to unpack then repack 2 nights later.
The air conditioning wasn't working in the room and even when i informed reception, nothing was done. Therefore we had to have windows open at night, but then got bitten to pieces from mosquitoes.
Also on the morning of our relocation, the hot water was turned off early so was unable to shower first thing.
Im sure when hotel is up and running as normal it is a much better stay.

Nice stay in a good area. Our only problem was the shower that flooded the bathroom because there wasn’t a screen or shower curtain. The tv had cable but euronews worked one minute then disappeared.
Overall the Angela Suites are very good. Lovely reception and staff. Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake provided complimentary until 12 noon.

On first appearances the hotel looks really nice and modern. We were fortunate to find a parking space right outside however this was purely luck as the hotel is on a one way busy route into Rhodes with traffic 24hrs. Checked in which was quick and had a duplex room on the first floor
The room was very modern with a bed you could fit a small family in! It was massive, size of 2 doubles! Modern fittings and lovely bathroom with toiletries. The Room had a small fridge but no coffee/tea facilities which I found really disappointing. There is a small bar in the foyer where there is a coffee machine costing 2 Euro. Breakfast isn’t in the hotel, it’s in their sister hotel down the road between 7 & 10:30 we didn’t make it. The location is good for visiting the new and old town we stayed just the one night

Hotel is conveniently located 5 min walk from main bus station and old town. It's surrounded by restaurants. Room size was large. Ferry Port is about 25 min walk away. The best rooms are facing pool with all day sunshine or opposite facing road. Both have large furnished balconies. Worst rooms are on hotel sides. With tiny and not furnished balcony. Would book again. Hotel is clean and staff helpful. They have booked trips for me. Room was clean spotlessly every day. There also complimentary (free) tea coffee soft drinks and cakes in the morning, what I found really sweet. This came to £17 , after pound crush

First off the positives: the hotel was very clean and in an excellent position (not close to the beach or old town, but very easy to walk to the whole city). It was inexpensive and a cheap break away in a lovely city.

A few things could do with minor improvements. The Internet was fairly rubbish; it worked OK in the foyer, but was sporadic in the hotel rooms on the third floor. The beds were hard (and twin beds only) but bedding was changed daily. Umbrellas in the very sunny pool area would have been useful, but it was gorgeous and cool in the pool.

Be aware it is not a free continental breakfast in the hotel, but free tea, coffee and biscuits in the morning which was nice.

The staff were amazing. Fridge and air con in rooms (though our friends room was cooler than ours).

The location is very good, as is the price. My complaint is that my non-smoking room often smelled like smoke. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking that someone was in the room smoking next to the bed. It was horrible. The other thing is that the doors are hard to open and close, and every time someone opens a door in the hall, you hear it. The staff was nice. There is a free coffee/pastry bar in the morning. Also, there is a nice pool which we did not get to make use of.

Nice hotel and extremely friendly staff, perfect location (no disturbing noise from the busy street) and really good renovated rooms! Cleaning was not so good; black hair on the sheets upon the arrival and most of the times cleaning meant only emptying the trash bins... I dont think there was any specific time for the cleaning, as these two friendly ladies came one day around 7.30am and the other day after 15pm. One morning I also woke up 9ish to the noise of someone emptying the trash bin in the toilet, before they even had a look to the bedroom side where I was still sleeping.. in the room there are no 'DND'-signs you could hang on the door to avoid this kind of inconvenience?

When we booked, the website mentioned, refurbished, shower/bath combo, double beds, safe, air conditioning, seating area......and so naturally, this is what we expected, but actually all of the above was not the case when we arrived.........most rooms are refurbished but the job is shoddy, electric cables hanging out, bathroom fittings not properly fitted........yes we has a safe box but it was loose, not attached to anything to prevent theft, air con throughout the whole hotel was broken, fan function only is available, we had choice of shower or bath, not both,......if you wanted a bath in your room you couldn't have a double bed,......the seating area was non existent. In addition to this, floors in the hallways and bedrooms were filthy, its like they didn't even sweep up after the refurbishment. Wood and building dust covered the floors. Breakfast was ok but not enjoyable really.

The guy at the front desk was awesome

Very decent hotel with nothing that really stood out as great or terrible except for the concierge at the front desk. He was super helpful with all my last minute planning and idea generations. I feel that he definitely went over and above what I normally get from those types. Restaurants are very close as well as a spray painting of \"bullet in your head\" on the wall 2 doors down. We had an overall very pleasant experience.

Very convenient for sightseeing ,tours etc. masses of lovely bars and restaurants close by. A shoppers paradise. ! Hotel was basic but staff very nice. Helpful friendly and extremely polite. Nice size pool but pool area rather tired looking. Could do with prettying up a bit. Gets lots of sun most of the day. Smashing patio area out the front for sitting and relaxing. With a bit more effort this hotel could really be top class.

Cheap and good for travellers

This hotel was really cheap and looked fancy and clean from the photos. We are a couple travelling around europe for 6 months on a budget so we wouldn't expect anything too fancy. Would have paid same price for the basics. Positives: early checkin since not busy yet, nice lobby, free teas coffee cakes and biscuits until 1pm in lobby, free wifi, large room with sep lounge couch tv kitchen table n chairs balcony, close to shops and restaurants n beach. Negatives: front desk lady quite rude but will help u if u ask, they ran out of shampoo or soap suggested u biy it yourself, rooms appear clean but dirt in corners, dishes in cupboards all dirty! And no dishwashing liquid or scrubber etc, shower head not good water squirts everywhere, no wifi in rooms, staff don't really welcome you or tell you there is a lift! Dont give you map or general intro to rhodes etc.

My overall impression is its ok for price and is perfect for travellers n backpackers like us. But dont expect anything fancy!!

fine for an overnight stay

We were staying in Lindos Bay but needed to get to the ferry port early in the morning for a day trip to the island of Symi. Searching for a reasonably priced hotel we came across the Angela suites. It was a good choice as it was ideally situated and whist a little more basic that we are used to it was clean and tidy and well presented. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a similar short stay in Rhodes town. We also found a fantastic traditional greek restaurant nearby where we had a fantastic meal and great service.

In the heart of new part of Rhodes town

Very decent apart hotel in walking distance from the beach, the harbor, the old town of Rhodes, and 5 min walk from the amazing food place (Koykos). The state of amenities is a little bit shabby, but everything was clean. I personally liked the bed (and slept like a baby). The personnel was more than willing to assist and provide all information (regarding the sightseeing, rent-a-car, bus infos, etc).... Overall, one great experience

This hotel was in a great location, and was exactly what we needed for 5 friends on holiday. The rooms were basic but clean. Service was fine, except for one woman on the front desk who was not helpful at all.

Helt okej hotell. Det är nog inte bara detta hotell här på rhodos men lite halvdant städat. Hotellet i sig är gammalt och slitet på sina ställen (åtminstone de äldre ej renoverade rummen) och det finns absolut förbättringar att vidta, t.ex som bättre renlighet och snyggare underhåll kring poolområdet etc. Sängarna var dock sköna och de bytte handdukar och tömde sopor på rummet i princip varje dag. Receptionisterna var trevliga och lättsamma. Skulle kanske inte välja detta hotell igen men man får vad man betalar för.

Sentralt og kort gangavstand til det aller meste. Mellomlanding for en natt. OK fint rom, litt slitent bad, dusje i badekar uten forheng, så det aller meste blir vått. Gode myke senger, air condition, bitteliten veranda. Frokostbuffet, god kaffe men juicen er syntetisk.

Otelin konumu çok iyiydi otel girişi kısmı mükemmeldi .kaldığımız oda gayet ferahtı ancak banyo biraz sıkıntılıydı çünkü duş kabini ya da perde olmadığı için banyo su

Séjour de 14nuits entre juin et juillet 2025.
Hotel extrêmement bruyant. on entend tout entre les chambres.
Literie parfaite. petit-déjeuner plutôt correct. Hôtel bien situé proche centre-ville et plages. Beaucoup d'entretien ou de rénovation seraient à faire notamment eau de la piscine verte, chasse d'eau cassée.. Ménage fait de façon aléatoire dans les chambres.. obligé de demandé de faire le sol et changer le lit.. dans un 3* quand même...

Sehr schönes Hotel im Herzen von Rhodos Stadt. Die Zimmer, sind gut und praktikabel eingerichtet und der dazu gehörige Balkon gibt die nötige Entspannung. Das Frühstück ist super und ausreichend. Jeden Tag gibt es etwas anderes und so wird's nicht langweilig. Die Strände sind in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Hotel. Leider gibt es am Hotel keine Parkplätze.

Ligger veldig sentralt som er bra og hyggelig folk som jobber i resepsjonen.
Frokost er god!
Renholdet bør være bedre på rommene. Mye støv under senga som ser ut for å ha ligget der for ei god stund. Balkong døra var ødelagt som ble raskt ordnet, bare en stor minus at renhold person la døra stå open hver dag etter de var ferdig. Veggene er som papir, man hører alt.
Ingen stikkontakt på bade.

Vet ikke hvordan de nyoppussede rommene er, men de eldre er helt ok. Hadde stor balkong. Rengjøringen var ok, men klaget på at madrassen var møkkete, dette så jeg når lakene skled av senga. Spurte om de kunne støvsuge, da vi kom tilbake hadde de lagt på plastikk laken... Ikke spesielt digg å sove på. Lytt mellom rommene, hadde noe festglade jenter ved siden av oss, men brukte sov-i-ro så vi våknet ikke av de. Og madrassen ble nok aldri støvsugd.. Men uansett, veldig hyggelige mennesker på hotellet. Super sentralt til alt! God frokost og kaffe fasiliteter på rommet. Kommer til å bo her igjen.

Frühstück für griechische Verhältnisse gut. Service Frühstück und Rezeption sehr gut.
Bad entsprach nicht ganz den Erwartungen, da Toilette am umfallen war, Toilettenspülung teilweise nicht funktionierte und Badboden nass. Hellhörigkeit vom Nachbarzimmersamt Bad massiv.
Noch ein Tip für die Hotelbar. Ein Aperol
€ 9,50 ist zu viel. Die Bar könnte wesentlich mehr Umsatz machen bei günstigeren Preisen. Vor 4 Wochen in Rom Zentrum ein Aperol mit Snacks € 5,-- bis € 6,--!!!
Lage Hotel gut zum Strand, Hafen und Altstadt.
Angela Downtown kann man buchen.

Yövyttiin kuusi yötä. Tosi mukava henkilökunta, saatiin hyviä ravintolasuosituksia ja ohjeita. Aamupala tosi perus, mutta maullisesti ok. Huone todella tavallinen, perus siisti. Isoin miinus huoneessa ulko-ovi. Vanha ovi, pitää hirveää meteliä (varsinkin naapureiden ovet yöllä...) ja on todella haastava avata. Avain vain pyörii ja pyörii lukossa. Pikkuinen parveke huoneessa plussaa.
