Stayed one night with two adults and two kids. Very cute place, comfortable and safe. Our room had a bathtub which really helps with kids bath! Plus a heater in the bathroom, toasty! There’s a Starbucks up the streets, a few restaurants walking distance, I’d stay here again!

Everything about the facility was great except when we were told at check-in not to drink the water ( which we weren't going to drink tap water), but my kids became very worried and had so many questions. Can I wash my face? Can we use the toilet? How do we brush our teeth? I wish maybe this had been disclosed at the time of the reservation

Great location to walk to the Main Street of Mariposa and an affordable place to stay about a hour outside of Yosemite Village. Clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Walls are thin, though. We could hear our neighbors clearly.

I’m thankful for the cleanliness of the room—especially since I’m the type of person who walks in and immediately pulls back the covers to check for clean sheets (and no critters).

Since I checked in late at night, I also really appreciated that the staff placed me right next to the front office. It eased my nerves and gave me a sense of security while unloading my bags.

The water got nice and hot, which was a plus, and the AC vents were clean—the room cooled down well enough to be comfortable.

The beds, however, could use an upgrade. They weren’t the most comfortable—still padded enough for a decent night’s sleep, but definitely not luxurious.

One thing they could absolutely improve is adding more convenient outlets for phones and other devices. There weren’t any on the nightstand between the beds, which made charging a bit of a hassle.

Overall, not a bad place to stop. It’s in a convenient location, especially if you’re heading to the park.

Great place-sparkling clean and comfortable room, great middle-of-the-town location, friendly staff! I am a frequent Mariposa visitor. This is the only place I stay. Hotels.com provided an extra discount, but even without, the stay is always a good deal.

Nice location, about 30 miles from the Yosemite entry. No breakfast; however, lots of options very close. Room was clean, no smell. Direct TV if you want to watch; the remote was kind of old or maybe battery was old, worked anyway. You come for Yosemite, so, location is pretty close, nice and clean, all you need.

We stayed 3 nights(king room) cause we were visiting Yosemite. We are definitely staying here from now on. It was nice, quiet, and clean. Theresa was a main reason I decided to book based on previous reviews and I’m here to tell ya that she lives up to her reviews. She was amazing! So attentive, so kind and so helpful. The room was everything we were looking for; spacious, clean, and cozy. I was looking forward to the hot tub and was bummed it was closed but everything else made up for it! Highly recommend this place and I look forward to staying here again.

Stayed here for two nights and drove into Yosemite national Park both days. The drive to and from is a little over an hour but it's gorgeous and the small surrounding town has plenty of dining options and a small mining town feel with enough modern amenities. The locals were warm and welcoming.
The bed was soft and comfortable and there was AC and heat control in the room that worked quickly.
The pool is small but clean and the grounds are full of beautiful plants and comfy sitting spots.

Honestly, I wish expedia had a zero-star option for places like this. Our experience at Mariposa Lodge was downright unpleasant. We politely asked for just 10 extra minutes to check out — not an hour, not half a day — and were immediately threatened with extra charges if we took even a minute longer.

This was on a Monday morning during the off-season, with only three cars in the entire parking lot and zero other guests in the 15-room block we were staying in — so it clearly wasn’t about availability or inconvenience. When we went to the front desk, the woman there was rude, dismissive, and refused to let us speak to a manager, claiming she was the only supervisor. She then raised her voice and ordered us to leave — a display of completely unprofessional and inhospitable behavior.

There’s zero sense of hospitality or courtesy here — only arrogance and hostility. For a small-town lodge that relies on travelers, this attitude is shocking. Mariposa has plenty of other places that treat guests with basic respect. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

I enjoyed my stay at Mariposa Lodge! It was about a 45 minute drive to the Yosemite Park, specifically Arch Rock entrance.

The town Mariposa is really small, but it is walkable and has great dining options.

Both check in and check out for the hotel were fast and easy. The staff was attentive and quick to help.

I really thought I had made the best choice for our stay when we did our research. I felt the accommodations were not up to stabdards. Our TV didn't work for the two nights we stayed and we were given a phone number to call. We called the number and it just rang and rang. I mentioned this at check out and the two girls did nothing for the inconvenience. During check in I was asked about my service animal and because I didn't answer the question appropriately I was going to be charged so I had to pull up ADA information over the internet but this was in front of other guests so it was kind of embarrassing. The air conditioning unit is loud and other guests partied in the rooms until well after midnight. It just wasn't a great stay or ideal accommodations for what it was.

Mariposa Lodge was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our long weekend stay while visiting Yosemite! The staff was friendly and kind. I actually sprained my ankle on the last day we were there and the cleaning staff went out of their way to help me get ice and gave me a plastic bag. I appreciate their kindness so much!

We stayed here twice non consecutively in one week. The first stay was amazing! The second stay, the employee (different from first time) was not kind and inappropriate. We arrived at 3:30 (Expedia says check in at 3), and she was getting into a car to leave and stopped to tell us “I’ll be back check in is at 4” and left for 30 mins. Then, when we were able to check in, she told us one room number, and then gave us a key to a different room. When I said it was the wrong key, she laughed and said “I’m r*******”.

We took the key and left. Then, this room was sadly not as amazing as the first. The bathroom was much smaller and the shower did not drain quickly at all. We decided to just shower in the pool at our feet because it was easier than dealing with that employee again. Now knowing both experiences, I would try to request the room we had the first time!

Overall it was just fine. But the door’s deadbolt didn’t work and very flimsy door. The tv could not be changed away from TNT despite many, many attempts with the remote. Good shower but the only soap was a Facial Bar! Provided shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

Worst experience ever

The front desk staffs are terrible. The worst experience ever. They made mistakes when I checked in, then they waked up me 3 times to fix the problem, even after I told them I am sleeping and need to wake up early tomorrow to visit Yosemite. I told them I can come by the front desk when I check out to fix the issues. But they still keep disturbing my sleep by knocking the door and call the phone. Unbelievable.

Really bad experience. They are very rude and careless to their customers.

An OK place to stay.

This is a basic old-ish (70s) motel. The check-in person was very kind and welcoming. The rooms have been kept up pretty well even though the place is past it’s prime. the carpet in our room was quite worn and the shower head needs replacing. Lighting in the bathroom is outdated and oddly emits lots of heat. Bathroom vent is super loud. AC unit is also super loud. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Not a bad place to stay, very basic, nothing fancy, somewhat tired and worn but OK.
