The hotel is located in the historical town of Mriposa, just 40 minutes from Yosemite National Park and minutes from the California Mining and Mineral Museum. It is nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Foot Hills, and additional local attractions include Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad (around 55 minutes' drive), E and J Gallo Winery (around 80 minutes' drive) and Sequoia National Park (around 210 minutes' drive).

An airport shuttle service is available to guests free of charge (must be booked in advance). This 78-room standard motel has an Old West mining theme.

Just 30 minutes from Yosemite National Park, the hotel is a great starting base from which to explore the area. Guests are welcomed in a large reception area with 24-hour check-out service.

Additional facilities at this establishment include a hotel safe, a newspaper stand and Internet access. Those arriving by car may leave their vehicle in the hotel car park free of charge.

We stayed here 2 nights. I would not recommend this hotel. We picked this hotel for the free breakfast and hot tub as it was the only one available with rooms that offered this for our last minute booking. Breakfast was ok and the hot tub was closed. My rating isn’t based on either of those though. We had to change rooms after check in due to our first room had disgusting sheets with reddish stains on them. Also the fridge didn’t work. Upon changing rooms, the new rooms a/c unit made clicking sounds which made it hard to sleep at night. The remote control for the TV was taped together to hold the batteries in. Also some of our towels had stains on it. Would never stay here in the future. Would pay the extra money for less “amenities” but for a cleaner and more professionally run hotel.

The only good thing was the nice staff and location. The hotel was run down and dirty. The room smelled like smoke and there were hairs found in the sheets and all around the bathroom. The breakfast was disappointing. Pool and hot tub closed. It is hard to understand the number of good reviews for this hotel.

Breakfast was good, lots of options. Pool and spa were not ready yet for the season which bummed the kids out when they went and discovered it was unusable. Bring your own shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotion. The soap and shampoo weren’t great and they didn’t have conditioner or lotion so we had to go out and purchase it at a mini market/gas station.

All together is was a good stay!

Checking in was a breeze. My requests for the room were graciously met. Dallas was the clerk at the desk. She made my experience welcoming. Her knowledge of the s I rrounding area and the property eased my concerns for local exploring the following day. The sole complaint was my room was skipped the next day by the maid service. I called the desk for fresh towels. They were brought promptly along with an apology for being skipped. The check out at the desk fell short compared to check in. The complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. I think the Yelp reviews i found were too harsh. I'd book another stay based on my two night stay..

This is an older property. It has signs of wear. The room was pretty big with a TV, microwave, refrigerator w/o a freezer, beds were ok.
The staff was very polite!
The breakfast was self service boiled eggs, toast, waffles, sausage, cereal and milk, yogurt, coffee and tea, and I'm sure I missed something.
This is my second time staying here and I would stay here again.

The drive from Mariposa into the Arch Rock entrance is my favorite, and it's great to have a comfortable place to stay before and after a day of hiking.

Blanket on beds were very thin, and only one extra one in closet. Couldn’t call front desk for extra blanket or batteries for the remote to turn on heater because the phone didn’t work. Our January stay was a cold one. Toilet seat was broken and almost fell in the floor when sitting on it to find a small cockroach in the floor.
Breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about and was the decision maker when I made my choice between the many hotels in Mariposa.
Will not be staying here ever again when I come in to town to visit family!
I did let management know the next morning when checking out to the issues were addressed and the response was, “good to know.”

Shoutout the lady at the front desk who upgraded us for free! This was just our experience but figured it was worth noting and she was overall very kind. Simple and quick breakfast was a plus. If I happen to return to the area this place is on the top of my list!

Counters were very dirty and not clean. Customer service was very horrible. They say front desk is open 24 hours for coffee and assistance.. door was locked every morning. I went there.. worker look like as if she was sleeping. Took her about 5 to 10 minutes to answer the door.. not a kid friendly environment.

the room definitely felt neglected. dirty carpet , my feet were black after walking on it barefoot. the room smelled very moldy and musty. hairs in the tub and on the bedding. the small coffee pot was left on and used coffee pods and coffee left in it. it did nOT auto shut off,a true fire danger!
a few spiders and bugs creeping around and cat food in the hallway leading to an outside door which was always found propped open(Horrible security issues here).
Breakfast was marginal at best. Options of bananas or oranges would have been nice than just red apples. Juice machine didn't work.
Front desk personnel were very kind and friendly.
Location good for a stay in Mariposa. would stay here again if I didn't have a choice and if they would at least clean it better.

I think I've been staying here for the last 6 years anytime I'm in the area. Probably been here at least a dozen times and it's the same place I recommend to other friends. The rooms are always clean and the staff is always kind. High recommend the Miner's Inn.
