The deluxe suite room for 6 I paid for wasn’t available had to downsize to a room for 4, farthest from the main lobby and received only $20 for the inconvenience.

This was a great hotel. We selected it for an adventure out to Yosemite, which was about an hour and a half away. The drive was no worries. The staff was wonderful (thanks Jesse). We loved their breakfast every morning & items we needed for the day. Cost was good and we enjoyed our time in the hotel. Mariposa was a good time in of itself. I would stay again.

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to Yosemite and the free breakfast. Breakfast was from 6-9. The first morning we got there about 6:15. There was a decent selection. The second morning we got to breakfast about 7 am. There were no eggs, yogurt, or even peanut butter left. So, no protein except some questionable looking sausage. When I asked, they said they were out until the next delivery. The third morning was worse. Even the apple juice was gone. And, the restaurant onsite was closed too.

First of all, there was no restaurant as stated. It was closed during our stay. A local told us that it’s hit or miss on being open and the owner has been trying to sell it. So we had to drive to eat. Expect a minimum 30-40 minutes wait time, maybe longer, at the few restaurants in town if you’re traveling in the summer.

The rooms are old for the price, but clean and the bed was comfortable. Very thin towels and wash rags. Not much on the tv at night unless you want to log into an app, which we didn’t do for security reasons. One outlet was loose from the wall and the plugs were all bent. There was light coming in around the door and the chain lock was half off its screws, but fortunately the hallway was quiet. All that being said, we spent most of our time outside of the room. We felt safe in the area. It’s not far from the one-block historic strip and a coffee shop across the street. The motel is an hour away from the Yosemite west entrance.

There’s a breakfast with waffles, English muffins and other breads. They had sausages in a chafing dish, but no eggs other than hard boiled eggs. Weird. Staff was a little slow in keeping things restocked and full.

We wouldn’t stay there again because of the restaurant issue.

An affordable and convenient hotel within an hour drive of Yosemite National Park. While not the most stylish, the breakfast was perfect and the room was very spacious. Plenty of parking also. Mariposa is also great for dinner or to walk around after a long day.

Bad sofa bed. We had explicitly asked for extra bed while booking. They didnt arrange this. The sofa bed was unusable. One can feel the springs sleeping on it. When we told the front desk, he gave us a cold shoulder that no more beds were available. Other person had to sleep on the floor. Very bad experience

The Miners Inn was adequate for our stay prior to visiting Yosemite. The Hot Tub could have done with the jets being serviced. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of space. The Breakfast was alright, nothing special about it.

Check in was easy. Finding the room was a bit trickier. Room was dated, but clean. No hair dryer, which was disappointing.

Fantastic hotel in Mariposa - we had a clean, very spacious room with a jetted tub, living area, and balcony. Breakfast was served from 6-9am and had a good mixture of items including cereals, yoghurts, waffles, eggs, and sausages. The pool and hot tub were open and it was great to make use of this facility. The drive to Yosemite was approximately 1 hour so this is a convenient place to stay. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again - it's great value for money!

The first room I was given had a strange smell to it. The next room the carpet was still wet from what I am assuming was recent carpet cleaning. Otherwise the room was large with no traffic noise. The tub/shower would have been hard to get in for anyone with with mobility problems.

We stayed here 2 nights. I would not recommend this hotel. We picked this hotel for the free breakfast and hot tub as it was the only one available with rooms that offered this for our last minute booking. Breakfast was ok and the hot tub was closed. My rating isn’t based on either of those though. We had to change rooms after check in due to our first room had disgusting sheets with reddish stains on them. Also the fridge didn’t work. Upon changing rooms, the new rooms a/c unit made clicking sounds which made it hard to sleep at night. The remote control for the TV was taped together to hold the batteries in. Also some of our towels had stains on it. Would never stay here in the future. Would pay the extra money for less “amenities” but for a cleaner and more professionally run hotel.

The only good thing was the nice staff and location. The hotel was run down and dirty. The room smelled like smoke and there were hairs found in the sheets and all around the bathroom. The breakfast was disappointing. Pool and hot tub closed. It is hard to understand the number of good reviews for this hotel.

Breakfast was good, lots of options. Pool and spa were not ready yet for the season which bummed the kids out when they went and discovered it was unusable. Bring your own shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotion. The soap and shampoo weren’t great and they didn’t have conditioner or lotion so we had to go out and purchase it at a mini market/gas station.

All together is was a good stay!

Checking in was a breeze. My requests for the room were graciously met. Dallas was the clerk at the desk. She made my experience welcoming. Her knowledge of the s I rrounding area and the property eased my concerns for local exploring the following day. The sole complaint was my room was skipped the next day by the maid service. I called the desk for fresh towels. They were brought promptly along with an apology for being skipped. The check out at the desk fell short compared to check in. The complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. I think the Yelp reviews i found were too harsh. I'd book another stay based on my two night stay..

This is an older property. It has signs of wear. The room was pretty big with a TV, microwave, refrigerator w/o a freezer, beds were ok.
The staff was very polite!
The breakfast was self service boiled eggs, toast, waffles, sausage, cereal and milk, yogurt, coffee and tea, and I'm sure I missed something.
This is my second time staying here and I would stay here again.

The ladies at the front desk are friendly and professional and committed to making sure that your stay is top-notch. Highly recommend, and I will stay there again on my trips to Yosemite. The drive from Mariposa into the Arch Rock entrance is my favorite, and it's great to have a comfortable place to stay before and after a day of hiking.

Blanket on beds were very thin, and only one extra one in closet. Couldn’t call front desk for extra blanket or batteries for the remote to turn on heater because the phone didn’t work. Our January stay was a cold one. Toilet seat was broken and almost fell in the floor when sitting on it to find a small cockroach in the floor.
Breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about and was the decision maker when I made my choice between the many hotels in Mariposa.
Will not be staying here ever again when I come in to town to visit family!
I did let management know the next morning when checking out to the issues were addressed and the response was, “good to know.”
