The resort is clean, and the staff are very welcoming. Since it’s low season, it was quiet and relaxing. Due to the strong waves and high winds, some garbage gets washed up on the shore, but the staff do a good job of cleaning it up. Because of its location, food options are limited, so plan accordingly.

Tip: If you enjoy fruits, buy them from the fruit stands on the way to the resort—they’re much cheaper compared to the prices in Bangkok. Having the pool was a huge plus, especially when the beach wasn’t accessible.

Nice hotel staff are friendly nice location right on the beach. Hotel is a little tired and could do with some maintenance. Rooms are quite old with bad water not really any cold water in the bathroom and one minute it burns you then it’s colder with no pressure. Air conditioning in the rooms is noisy. Two swimming pools and a nice beach.

Overall this was a lovely stay. The rooms are clean and modern. Beachside spa services were excellent although a bit pricey. The beach is lovely here however isn’t cleaned up daily. We were charged for breaking a glass in the room. The pools were plentiful (hot tub, small cool pool, two large pools, and a kid friendly pool). Food onsite was very good and service of the whole staff was so friendly!

Very clean room. Nice attention to detail, with room detail well presented. In particular
the bathroom has been well maintained and looked after. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Good range of food available both onsite and across the road at one of the local restaraunts. With the beach meters away it makes for a great getaway.

This is a nice hotel by the beach in Rayong a quiet part of Thailand good for families. The pools and grounds are nice. Several pools and a hot tub. Also, a good restaurant with Thai and Western food that is inexpensive and pretty good, right by the beach. Staff are friendly.

This is my second time at this hotel. I like this hotel for its pools and beach. The property needs to be modernized.
Breakfast had a good selection and was tasty. The location is not near a shopping center and transportation from the hotel is a bit high. I found it difficult to get luggage out of my room, no elevator and to many stairs, not enough ramps. My GF cut her leg on a bulging tile while getting out of the pool. They removed the beach huts since my last visit.

Breakfast was very disappointed, no yogurt and bacon tasted like rubber but the beach was nice. If you want to use a jacuzzi, you need to tell them to turn it on for you. Tgere is no outside switches.

My issue is more with Expedia. They listed the room as a sleeps 4. When we got to our room, there was room for only 2. We had to book another room which doubled my cost to stay.

Check in was efficient and friendly. The room was what I expected. Comfortable bed, tile floors, balcony and large bathroom. Breakfast was good, very good for what the room cost. The pools were pretty spectacular. The exercise room was ok, not great.

The hotel restaurants were good. There were several beach clubs in walking distance that offered good but less expensive food and drink.

Othee than the beach clubs, there is not much in walking distance.

I was pleased. Overall good, very good for price, and I would go back.

The hotel has good maintenance and employers are quite nice. I think the management is trying to save money which affected breaskfast quality. We were not so happy with the choices of their patisserie. Due to covid, there was limited choice on the paper that you need to craft your own menu but not everything we choosed on that limited menu was available.

At the end we paid higher than many other hotels available in that region, but had similar poor quality breakfast. Apart from that it was good experience.

We loved this hotel!
Pros:
Room: Very comfortable, good AC, liked the colorful furnishings.
Pool: Awesome! It was big, beautiful to look at, and right on the water. Easy to get towels.
HH: Great drinks and good specials.
Staff: Very helpful. From parking the car to check in, everyone was great!
Food: Decent selection and what you'd expect.

It’s not worth for your money.

I travel at Rayong every year with my family. This place is not as good as we expected, my daughter’s room, the air conditioning was really bad. It was not working at all. And my room has a mold on the ceiling.

The beach and pool are wonderful. Great BBQ, buffet and music at night around the pool. Service a little slow and did not see service on the beach.
Food is very good but I did not see any breakfast food on the menu in the morning. I guess the expect you to pay for buffet.
My friend and I sleep late and only want a small bite of food in the morning, it was a little disappointing.
The hotel and rooms should be renovated, looks very old and worn, the grounds outside my room need to be landscaped. The WIFI is not very good I kept getting disconnected.

Overall stay very good. There is a beach in front of the hotel. It was ok but a much better effort should be made to have cleaner and spotless, especially the stretch directly in front of the hotel. Even though this may be not Thai way to keep their beaches clean, novotel is an international group and holidaymakers and beachgoers do most certainly seek a spotless beach stretch.

We really enjoyed out stay, only for 1 night though. This is not too stylish but cozy classic resort hotel just in front of the beach. Enjoyed swimming in 2 huge pools (the 3rd one is under construction) and took a nap under palm trees and took a lovely beach walk in the evening (sunset is breathtaking) and in the morning that made us so relaxed. Had a lovely dinner outside with sea sound and the songs by the musician, they are brilliant! Their voices are sometimes mellow, sometimes up beat, good for the resort night. The staffs are very friendly. We'd love to come back again soon!

Great Hotel which offers a great relaxing environment. The authentic Thai food was amazing. One shortcoming was the Gym room. Some fitness equipment was not operatable and maybe some more weights could have been offered additionally.

No TV on holiday!

Really god hotel, great staff and good food, beer was a bit limited for choice but would recommend to anyone it is a great location with some small eating places scattered around outside, the rooms are very clean and the bathroom is very nice. The only thing below standard is the TV reception, it is awful and needs to be addressed as soon as possible, it was the same the last time I stayed here and nothing has been done. I am coming back in August so I hope its fixed by then.

Okay for a quick getaway from BKK

The hotel itself was pretty good. Clean rooms, comfortable bedding, helpful staff, adequate pools, tasty (albeit overpriced) food - like you would expect from a Novotel chain. Generally, the property is looking a little tired, and due for a refresh. The beach in front of the hotel was okay - but walking on either side of the resort revealed the beach was dirty and littered with garbage. Not the hotel’s fault, but I think the beaches are much cleaner in Koh Samet. As a result, we spent all of our time in the hotel pool, and ate about half our meals at the local restaurant across the road where the Thai food was tastier, and about half the price.

Hotel are a little worn out, but rooms very clean.
Our suite had the view to the sea an unused piece of land, but we had the kitchen and 16 ac units one floor down, so our 2 balcony was useless.
Beach outside the hotel are nice and clean.
Don’t book here if you not have a car or motobike, because there are nothing around except a few beach restaurants

Bathrooms need modernizing. Shower in the bath is outdated and water temperature fluctuates from very hot to cool. The access corridors to the room are not sound proofed so every room door being opened or closed, every conversation being had in the corridor is heard in every room, no matter what time of the day or night.
The hotel amenities and the staff are excellent.

Great Service - Nice People - But Stay So So.

Service great! Nice and clean but food so so plus$$ and noisy. Hallway door does not seal so it sounds like door is open and you hear everything in hallways and I am sure they can hear you when they walk by.
Definitely ask your sheets be changed nightly because no matter how carefull you are sand will get in the sheets. TV very poor reception. WiFi Excellent.

Good choice of hotel in Rayong

Hotel is fine like all other Novotel. Room is spacious. Hugh swimming pool. Breakfast has a great variety. Beach is beautiful. Spend much less than Marriott for a stay at the same beach. Need to drive about 10km for a fine dining at Bali Pizzeria. Suggest to stay at Novotel Rayong for a few days before or after you go to Samed Island.

Our 3 nightstay here was really enjoyable and relaxing. The resort is right between Rayong and Kleang, so there isn't very much around. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Our room had tiny ants but not a huge deal. The pools were great. Food at the restaurant was very good but expensive. And with there not being much around the resort, we had no choice but to eat lots of our meals at the hotel. Do yourself a favour and do not choose the breakfast buffet. Go across the street to Kim's restaurant. Very good breakfast for less than half of the hotels. The dinner entertainment was our favourite. The couple sang songs for us every night. Would definitely reccomend if you are looking for a relaxing vacation.

Nice resort, awful beach

My wife and I recently return from an eleven days stay at the Novotel Rayong Rim Pae Resort and although we found the resort of a very good standard and the staff very pleasant and helpful, we found the beach in a terrible condition, very dirty and full of sand flies, terrible creatures that give you awful bites and after the second day, turn into blisters and last for weeks. We highlighted the problem to the management and although senpacetic nothing was done to solve the problem, so if you are looking for a beach holiday, this is definitely NOT the place.

The policy for an extra bed very unclear. Although I made reservation for 2 adults with an 11 year old child, the room only had 2 single beds.
The up-charge for an additional bed would almost double the price of a room.
Needless to say that it was most uncomfortable sleeping.

Great hotel for a relaxing holiday

There isn't much there except for the hotel, and a little restaurant across the street. There's a hotel shuttle that takes you into town for free, but it only leaves once in the morning and once around 1:00pm, so I think they should add another one around 4:00 or 5:00pm. The hotel was very nice, and so were the pools and the rooms. I loved the Happy Hour cocktail deal of buy one, get another of the same for free. The beach was disappointing, though, because the water was full of little and garbage (plastic), and so was the beach. They should find some way to clean it up. Seeing that was the low point of the vacation. Great hotel, though, with great staff! Very family-friendly too!

Only stayed for one night but enjoyed my stay. The rooms and public areas are spotless and the grounds very well kept.
The hotel appears quite old but is clearly still very well looked after and loved. The grounds and swimming pool are very nice.
Just be aware that the location of the hotel is quite remote and I wouldn't stay here unless you have transport.

Overall, the stay was nice and relaxing. Staff was quite helpful and nice. The resort and rooms were spacious, cozy and very clean. The only issue if at all was the resort was too far away from the main town and though they have a free shuttle service it was not frequent enough with only 2 drops in the day. Maybe they can mitigate this with an hourly service at a \"really\" nominal fee. Apart from this issue, the resort was lovely.

Okay rooms, not enough public space

The hotel is quite old but kept in okay conditions. The rooms are clean enough, and the facilities are old but work fine. (The weight machine in the gym was rusty, for example.) The problems are: (1) There is not enough public space that you can relax in without paying extra. The only free sofas available are in the lobby (which is quite small). (2) The staff are trained to be reasonably polite when talking to you, but are not trained to respect to make the hotel a relaxing place for guests. For example, when I was sitting in the lobby reading the book, the reception talked to each other loudly and one of them tapped his fingers against the wooden counter. I could not concentrate on the book and so decided to leave.

A little piece of Heaven

I chose this hotel as I wanted to experience a different part of Thailand. One that isn't overloaded with tourists. I chose Rayong as its where the Thai's go for their weekends away. Ban Phe is where much of Thaialnds seafood is caught and bought in. This is a charming little city. The bus from Bangkok to Ban Phe was so easy and only $10aud return. The Novotel offer a free shuttle from Ban Phe to the resort twice daily. Situated about ten mins drive out of Ban Phe is the Novotel. This hotel is kind blowing !!! The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable. This hotels listing doesn't mention that all rooms have aircon. Due to its remote location it is so quiet and serene here. The pools and restaurant are just amazing and the cocktails, especially the Banana Daquari are a treat. If you need a relax holiday with the ability to go to nearby Koh Samet for day trips it is perfect. I will definitely be back !!!!!!

The beach is perfect, the pools are great, the rooms are superb. There is nothing to do nearby, but the room and beach are good, if a relaxed vacation is important to you. The problem is the breakfast is not provided with the booking and it costs 450 Bt or 14 dollars per person. A bit high for a Thai breakfast. Internet is free for 20 min per day. After the 20 min, the price is very high, a few hundred Baht for an hour. In the days when a 2 star hotel has free internet, their rates are crazy.

This hotel was a bit off the beaten path. Although away from most tourist attractions, the property itself was very nice. The english speaking staff were very helpful and the beach was perfect. The breakfast was the most expensive we had during a three week holiday that spanned six different hotels, but it was also the biggest. Lots of variety to choose from and plenty of staff to keep the coffee full. There are two things I would like to point out that turned me off about this hotel. First one is the elevator, the door has no sensor to detect when someone is in the entryway. I almost had my hand crushed because of this. Travelers with small children beware. Second was the swim up bar at the pool. Not once during our stay was the bar staffed. What's the point of having a bar if no one is going to be there to take orders?
Other than that we really enjoyed our time here. Covered trucks come by every ten min. or so and will take you to Laem Mae Phim beach for about 30 bhat. Here you can find lots of fresh seafood restaurants. And One more thing... If you go across the street to Mr. Kims you can get free Wi-Fi have breakfast and get your laundry done for a fair price.

Novotel Rayong Thailand - Wonderific!!

I love this hotel, it's awesome! this is my second stay here and simply can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The location and grounds are lovely!

The staff is friendly. The spa heavenly. The beach great. If you go take a car about 30 mins to the left past Buffalo Bill's there are yummy food stalls by the beach with delish and fresh seafood. Stay here. You won't regret it!

I called to hotel ask for connecting roms about 3 time or more for confirm , the hotel comfirm me and confirm room no. it's connecting room. but when I arrived I din't get this room , she said I just give that toom to another , I didn't appreciate with this hotel , I think it's not 4 stars hotel at all.

The hotel itself is a 4 star hotel

The hotel itself is a 4 star hotel with all the standard facilities. But the one thing that impressed me was the hotel staff service. They were not only upgraded me to a better room due to a misunderstanding from the problem with the Accor groups website, I did also realized that forgot my phone in the room after almost an hour later, and found that it was still in the room safe and sound and ready for me to pick it up at the FO.

Novotel Rim Pae Rayong

I was travelling alone for bussiness, so for me the hotel was a bit too far from any city center. Certainly need a car. But the hotel has all facities, certainly for leisure and vacation families. Nice pools/bar, next to the beach, excellent food, live music in the evening and a nice spa.
Very quite place.
