Beautiful views of the sea, with lovely gardens plus pool and jacuzzi. It was a bit difficult to find due to construction on the road and there wasn’t really parking to speak of near the hotel; dragging luggage across cobbled sidewalks was not fun. But the hotel itself was lovely.

Mareta View was great. The views are incredible and we were so happy to walk into our room and find a patio with an amazing view of the ocean and cliffs, lounge chairs and all. After traveling for a week in some very crowded cities and walking 40 miles, this was a very welcome space where we could retreat and have a couple of low key days.
The property is beautiful. They have many lounge chairs/beds in their courtyard area plus a hot tub. You can tell they work hard to take great care of the space.
Daily breakfast was included with our stay and there are quite a few really good restaurants around. The beach is a few steps and there is also a little trail behind where you can explore the cliffs. Also, the fort is about 1/2 mile away and you can easily walk to it. The property is in a great area of Sagres- center to everything you need and want to see but also the area is not too crowded.
The one thing to remember is this is an independently owned hotel in a remote area, so it just won’t hav the amenities of high end city hotels.
We thought it was great and really enjoyed our time here!

Mareta View was a perfect place to stay in the Algarve! Our ocean view room with a balcony was amazing!! Perfect location with lots of restaurants in walking distance. No problem parking our car close by for free. Wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. Hot tub was a bonus plus beautiful Infiniti pool next door to use. Highly recommend!

I loved the view and breakfast and the friendly staff. The hot tub was wonderful. FYI-you have to walk around to access the pool, it is not on the property. The bathroom did need a tile update, but for the price, it was wonderful. I would stay here again if I am ever back in Portugal.

The location was awesome in the sense that it's right next to the beach and to town with a ton of restaurants. I would just say the hotel itself was a little lackluster. Nothing wrong or bad, just compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Portugal for the same price, there just wasn't much to it. I would also say our bedroom smelled kind of musty and odd.

Beautiful location, close to the Beach (Praia de Mareta). Nicely furnished, excellent breakfast. It does not have a private Parking, but it is easy to find a place nearby for free. The entrance is kind of hidden. On negative ide, htere were mosquitos in the room, probably due to lack of nets on the balcony door. Also, I would have liked to have a stool to put the luggage, that we had to put open on the floor.

We can’t say enough about the location and the outdoor amenities. This place is clean and the breakfast is plentiful. The only suggestions we have would be- a luggage stand would be helpful, and the beds are a birt hard. Strangely, while hard, they were still comfortable.

This is a great, clean, funky little hotel in a quiet town with a 1960's surfer crowd feel. It can be a little tricky to find, and parking is only possible on public roads by the nearby bars but out of sight of the hotel, but on the plus side the back garden leads out to the track down to the beach, 4 mins away. The room was spotless, bed comfortable, location quiet. The breakfast was included and healthy (i.e more continental than \"full blown fried English\"), there is a small bar, that we didn't use, and good wifi. Staff were friendly. Note: no lift, so if you've got heavy suitcases, bring someone young and strong with you!!

this hotel has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. the placement of the hotel is perfect, great views, easy access to the beach and great if you just want to go for a walk along the cliffs. If you want pampering, then this isnt the place for you. You get given youre key and told what floor you're room is on and told that if you need anything, just ask.. its as simple as that! What you get at the mareta, is provided with peace an quiet. the place is spotless, youre rooms are basic but tastefully done. If i was to throw a moan in, it would be that the bathroom is'nt very big but hey, what else do you need in a bathroom other than the basics!! Also this hotel has a great garden were you can really just relax an chill, should you just want a day from the beach. you have access to next doors pool to, which is the sister hotel to the mareta. If you want a holiday full of lilo's, cheap tat stalls, watersports, larger louts an chavs then book Luz...!!...but if want chill an relaxin, get yourself to Sagres, it has it right...a handfull of great bars, a good choice of restaurants, an a small but great beach. This well located hotel is staffed by pleasant courteous staff. Sonja was very helpful for all of our needs.The common areas are clean and comfortable. The air conditioner worked well despite the heat. Breakfast was very good.

Our stay was fabulous from start to end. We didn't realise that there were 3 hotels in the group, all of a very high standard and accidentally booked wrong one, but we were not disappointed. The furnishings are modern and fresh and it is very clean everywhere. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Mareta View offered a free continental breakfast area overlooking the beautiful garden area with fabulous sea views and Mareta Beach. As a bonus we could use the beautiful pool at the Mareta Beach House, but not sure if this will always be the case but was such a relaxing area. It had lovely beach bar too, manned by friendly staff. We also found the Italian restaurant and coffee house on site, were both a great bonus and nice places to relax with good food and drink. Walking down to the beach was easy, as was visiting the fort at Sagres. Excellent beaches nearby and great views everywhere. Would recommend to everyone, but would ideally like it to stay a secret!

Total Relax in Sagres
Very relaxed, not heavily touristic, beautiful location, garden leads to the beach, hotel is well appointed, clean modern decor and services. Sagres Fort and nature reserve are close by and walkable. Cape St Vincent and the Wild West coast and the megalithic remains between Sagres and Vila do Bispo are easily reachable from here.

Great quiet hotel on the edge of town
I loved this hotel because it was quiet and had a sea view. It is still in down, but on the edge of town toward the fort which was nice and quiet but still very easy to walk to the stores, restaurants, and shops. It was a very clean modern room and a fabulous view! I can't wait to stay here again!

After a slight hiccup at the start (no staff on reception, despite ringing the bell a couple of times as instructed and a grumpy receptionist when she did arrive) we enjoyed this hotel. The rooms at the back (which we did not have) must have had lovely sea views. Decor was modern and co-ordinated and suited us: if you want traditional Portugese interiors this is not for you. We did wonder if the room would be noisy because the central staircase creates lots of echoes, but it was not a problem at all. There is no lift here which didn't matter for us, but it may for some people.

The location was great, the view was beautiful, and the breakfast was good. However, the bed was horribly uncomfortable and the shower was designed in such a way that it made it impossible not to soak the entire bathroom during a quick 5 minute shower. We had to use all of our towels to sop up the mess after each shower. We would have been okay with these inconveniences if we didn't feel like we were paying a premium to be at this hotel. But, for the price, we felt that the hotel left a lot to be desired. Maybe our room was an exception and they are not all like this but we would not pay to stay at this location again.

The location was fine and price was right for the season, however, the place is a bit run down (very old towels, bedding, etc). Service was nice, but breakfast was quite plain. Nothing over the top. Fine for the price, but I wouldn't pay more than $60 (US) for the this room. Not in the high OR low season.

Nice modern hotel with fantastic sea views. Friendly staff. For the money we thought our room was far too small. Bathroom good size with good quality shower. Mini bar fridge in room. Breakfast good quality and freshly made bread and cakes.
