Beautiful hotel, very close to the old town. The staff were all lovely and helpful. There was a communal water dispenser on each floor, which dispensed both still and sparkling water, which I thought was a nice touch.
One slight disappointment was that we requested breakfast to be delivered to our room, but when it arrived not all of the items we requested had been sent up.
Other than that though, everything else was great and we will stay there again when we are back in Lublin.

Very spacious room in a gorgeous hotel minutes away from the old town. The staff is super efficient, the water fountains are great. On the last day we left early and they prepared a plentiful breakfast to go. I can’t fault the IBB Grand Hotel. It’s perfect.

If you are visiting Lublin the IBB Grand Hotel is a great choice as it has free parking between 6pm - 8am directly outside and is a very easy and nice walk into the old town for an array of dining options. Great choice of hot and cold options at breakfast and a lovely bar area.

Kilka mankamentów ale jedzenie pyszne.

Jestem trochę zmieszany. Mój pokój zdecydowanie odbiegał od standardów 4 gwiazdkowego hotelu. Dostałem dziurawy i poplamiony ręcznik, poplamione zasłony, uszkodzony zlew oraz szafka pod nim. Łóżko miało być double a były dwa złączone single. Zawsze miałem dobre zdanie o tym hotelu dopóki się w nim nie przespałem. Mój rodzinny Lublin zdecydowanie zasługuje na coś więcej. Na plus zdecydowanie zasługuje obsługa. Szybko i sprawnie, tak można w skrócie opisać kontakt z pracownikami. Restauracja na dole zaskoczyła mnie i mojego gościa pyszną kolacją. Śniadania również były wyborne. Dla każdego coś smacznego.

The hotel definitely doesn't feel like Grand Hotel. The air conditioning wasn't working, and it felt like sleeping in a sauna. Opening the window also wasn't an option as the hotel is located in a very busy and loud area. Bed itself wasn't bad. However, pillows were very old and without any shape or firmness, and it caused us terrible back and neck pain. The shower was very small and it wasn't working properly. The best thing about the hotel is the location.

very good location, max 10 min walk walk up an interesting pedestrianised road, most buildings old, shops and bars etc, to the old town. \hotel was a big bank, so grand building. V good condition, e.g. carpets just finished being put in. Better location than old town when want to get bus or taxi. Helpful staff

Location is great for convenience, attractions, etc. however, it is extremely noisy until very late into the night. With windows open it is impossible to sleep. With them closed it can still be a challenge. NO AC available because the weather was not hot enough for them to engage it. But the room was stuffy and hot, so the window needed to be open to stay cool and get circulation.

Pros – We received a large, nicely decorated, remodeled room with a balcony overlooking the square. The hotel location is very convenient. Amenities were good. There is a mini-fridge (but it’s full since it’s technically a mini-bar). There were robes and disposable slippers. Complimentary water and tea were provided. There was good WiFi in room. The room service menu looked really good, though we never had a chance to try it. Overall, I found the hotel to be good and I would stay here again.

Cons – The square and road can be very loud late at night and in the morning. For me, earplugs were a must. For light sleepers I’d suggest asking for an interior-facing room. There is no safe in the room. The biggest issue, however, was the lack of heat. We weren’t told at check-in that the central heat wasn’t enabled despite the cold October nights, so the first night we were freezing. They brought in a space heater the next morning and the rest of the nights were fine. I can certainly understand the hotel wanting to save on gas given the current situation, especially if it's low season and many rooms are empty. However, they should have informed us of this fact at check-in and offered the space heater or at a minimum provided extra blankets in the room.

Ok, but not a four star hotel

Not a four star hotel…at least not anymore. Very few amenities. No safe in room. No robes or slippers. Cheap hangers. Poorly done black-out curtains (can’t position without gaps). Older room with old furnishings. Very plain; minimal décor (e.g. no accessories or decorative pillows, very minimal artwork). Those things are certainly not needed, but in a four-star hotel I would expect to see a more “designed” room.

No toiletries besides a built-in soap dispenser at sink and shower gel dispenser in the shower. I guess that’s more eco-friendly, but it just made the room feel like a motel. They did provide some shampoo and lotion when we requested. Sewing kit in room had been used. Maybe they are just under-staffed or limiting items in the room due to the pandemic. There was no daily cleaning offered due to pandemic, so maybe they are making other cuts as well. Hopefully things will eventually improve.

There is no place to get dropped off and unload bags. There are a few parking spots in front of the hotel but they are always full. We had to either block street traffic or go around the block. It seems like they could cone-off a small area in front for loading and unloading.

On the plus side, the location was good, the room and bathroom were large (although the shower was still microscopic for some reason), wifi was good and there was lots of closet space.

The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the Old Town. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants right around the hotel. Check-in was swift and friendly and the room was small but well managed. The bed was very comfortable, WIFI worked well, and the bathroom was really nice. Shower pressure was very strong. The breakfast was included in my room rate and had a nice range of hot and cold dishes. In terms of location, comfort, and service, this hotel is tough to beat.

Hotel dated, appreciate it is an old hotel but a facelift is required especially in entrance area. Bedroom 109 superior double felt a little dated too.
Breakfast was poor, it was served until 11, we came down at 10, bread baskets almost empty and what was left was hard, everything needed replenishing and freshening up, this was done once restaurant started to fill up but was too late as we had then used hard bread in small toaster and eaten it. Small warmed croissants were the only thing that seemed fresh. No English Breakfast tea either!!!

Old world charm

The hotel is in a good location for central Lublin and the old city.
It has a charming old world feel to it while the room we stayed in was quite spacious with generous amount of cupboard space. The bed mattress was firm but comfortable. The bathroom facilities were adequate with good water pressure. The drainage in the shower was on the slow side, meaning that you were standing in water which is not the most hygienic situation.
One of the coffee cups in the room was badly chipped. There was no individual room controlled air-conditioning and also no windows to look out of but had remote controlled skylights. This feature I think was unique to the part of the hotel where are room was located.
We had one evening meal in the hotel restaurant which my wife and I both enjoyed.
Overall we were happy with our short stay at the Grand Hotel.

I stayed for a few days at the hotel while I was in Lublin on business. The hotel staff were very nice and spoke good English which was great as my Polish is not existent. The hotel was in a nice area with several coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel also had very good food at dinner. It was easy to get a cab in the area. The room was small, but adequate.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable enough - shower rooms could be a bit bigger (being picky here..). Make sure while ordering if you wish to stay in smoking room or not - I did not check it and ended up in a smoking place; there was a faint odour of cigarettes. Might have been my mistake though.
Do not recommend breakfast - overpriced by far (stil good though!). 2 minutes walk will give you variaty of choices for third the price.

Great hotel in an amazing town

Terrific hotel with a perfect location near the Old Town. Lublin is fantastic. We had planned to use the town to explore the area around but in fact stayed all the time in the town. Hence the hotel location was ideal. We did not know about Majdanek, the World War II concentration camp which is adjacent to the town and easily reachable by trolley bus. Visitors should include the camp in their stay, we will never forget our time there.

Very stylish hotel, converted from an old bank HQ. I booked a superior room which was very large and well furnished. Staff very friendly and good breakfast and dinner choices in restaurant. Lovely city too, but if have time also go to Zamosc - 2 hours away by train but so worth it!

Nice hotel; probably one of the best in town. The building gives one the beautiful sense of turn of the 20th century grandeur. That being said, this was the first place I felt \"dinged\" by having bought online. Even in a clearly unfilled hotel, I was given a room on the back side of the property, a garret with no windows but a large skylight that could not be covered for light. The bathroom had no place to put a toilet kit. Beware room 301! Were I go to again, I would do a little more research and try to find a place in the old town.

Grand Hotel lives up to its name!

This is a great hotel to stay it when visiting Lublin. It is walking distance to all of the sites within old town. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel room was extremely comfortable and well decorated with a shower that had good water pressure and consistent hot water. I highly recommend this hotel. It has to be the best option in Lublin.

Booked three nights to attend a wedding. Fantastic central location minutes from old town. Booked a superior room which was excellent, clean and quiet with the ability to open the windows onto a courtyard. Iron and ironing board useful for de creasing wedding attire. Efficient friendly staff, breakfast was adequate however evening dining was excellent, highly recommended. Spa looked good in brochure but it is worth noting that for weekend breaks the spa is closed on a Sunday. Overall a very pleasant relaxing stay and very good value for Uk visitors.

Lovely big rooms, excellent food - the potato pancakes are wonderful, very helpful service. Good location with a small green square across the road and very close to the pedestrian only area (lots of cafes and shops) and the old walled city. was going good until Saturday when we returned to hotel to be told we could not enter the lounge or bar area due to wedding reception was told we have to stay in the restaurant were we eat breakfast we had been out all-day and wanted to relax have drink was unable to sit their due to noise and music unable to hear your self speak, complained and was put in a room on 2nd floor will not return to this hotel again as felt like we were in the way and the hotel guest were not catered for on this night they had wedding reception in. will return very soon to Lublin but will use different hotel, felt we should have been informed before our arrival we would be restricted on the Saturday evening. were we could sit and relax.

Very nice hotel. We got the smallest room and although there were two large pillars in it, we were able to navigate it just fine, even with our little dog. Parking is on the street (actually on the sidewalk), but in spaces designated for the hotel and staff will shuffle around your car as needed so you don't have to. Breakfast was filling - we paid a little extra to have it in the room so we didn't need to leave the dog alone. Quiet hotel and friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the neighborhood. Watch out for the sometimes automatic doors - I nearly got crushed. I'd recommend.

A Wonderful Hotel in Lublin

Stayed at this hotel during a visit to Lublin, and it is really a wonderful hotel that I can't recommend highly enough. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. The Grand Hotel is really centrally located in the city - it is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the old town, and as far as I could tell to anywhere else major in the city that you would want to go. Public transportation is easily accessible right outside the door of the hotel as well. While the rooms are a bit on the small side (I would say typical European style), they are very comfortable and pleasant. The staff really makes you feel at home. The breakfast buffet is wonderful.

This hotel was very poor no wifi in rooms very old hotel, service was not good also drunken idiots yelling in the hallway at 3am also trying to get in our room had to call reception to control them. I would never stay here again especially due to the cost ... no coffee making facility in rooms .. more like a 2 star motel than a 4 star hotel !

2nd day the hotel hired out the lobby which is very small for a promotion for a bank took over the lobby which is the only place to sit and have coffee or use wifi also approx 100 people in lobby had to push your way through to get to the door.
