The building from the road looks run down. The check in staff were nice. It’s a bit frustrating that my Tangerine MasterCard was not accepted… it’s still a valid credit card. The room was small but had what it needed. I did like the water pressure in the shower. We also liked the fact that the fridge was bigger than most hotel mini fridges. Also nice that there was a microwave. However when my husband sat at the desk to do some work…. He found a cockroach taped to the side of the tv stand!!! We did an inspection of the room and didn’t find any other cockroaches or any other bugs but it was still a bit off putting. The bed was very comfortable. I did like the lights on the headboards. A few outlets didn’t work in the room. I do like that check out wasn’t until 11am. We didn’t try the restaurant but the menu posted in the lobby looked tasty! We did not need to use the gym or pool or anything extra.

The price from website was different from what they actually charged me. I had to pay more and the hotel itself after paying what we paid to say there looked more run down our TV didn't work and neither did our in room phone. There was still garbage from last guests and cob webs. I know where not to stay again.

We were accommodated by providing us a room on the main floor due to an issue with stairs. The room however was awful. We stayed there at the start of the trip and our room was a lot better than the one on the way back. In this room the bedding was all wrinkled and dingy, the duvet on my sisters bed even was ripped. There were no bedside lamps and there was a wobbly one standing the the corner. The bedding was so bad that I looked under the sheets at the mattress and there was no mattress protector or pad and this was disgusting to me! The bathroom floor was dirty and the floor in this room was lifting and they had glued a cheap black indoor outdoor mat to what I suspect was missing flooring. We slept in our clothes and were really upset and couldn’t get out fast enough in the morning. The location of the hotel is good but this place to me had fallen considerably below the Choice Inn standards. I did notice all the other rooms that were being cleaned had mattress protectors. Our beginning stay was ok at best but the way back was brutal. We definitely would not stay again. They had a restaurant on site and while my sister was out in the parking lot she observed the kitchen door open with no screen . Health standards obviously were not being adhered too. It always seemed busy enough just not our cup of tea.

Worst hotel ever stayed at, in hotel rooms are in basement with no lift, washroom exhaust did not work.

I requested the lady in front for room change and she is like we dont do room changes its our policy.

The bathrooms were outdated and unfortunately not cleaned well prior to our stay. I did not use the tub or shower as it seemed dirty. Also the fire alarm went off in the evening, but it is not super loud through heavy hotel doors, if I had been asleep I don’t think the alarm would have woke me. The room does have a fridge and microwave which is nice. Location is good.

Room wasn’t swept, there were stains on the furniture. Something smelled off and musty, no ventilation in the bathroom. There was a shortage of towels. You can hear other people talking in other rooms clearly when you’re laying down. Won’t be back. Felt gross just being there.

Bed was clean and somewhat comfortable. When we walked in, room was cold and damp (no heat had been on), when it was turned on, would only heat to 66•. It was cool and damp through the night. There was peeling paint everywhere and holes in the wall about the vanity. This was a last minute, late night stay. I wouldn’t recommend it if you had a choice.

Check-in was quick and easy, room was modern but basic, and clean. The paint job in the bathroom could have been better but that’s just cosmetic and did not impact my stay. The food at the restaurant on-site is good, and the new pub “Second Encore Pub” located within the hotel is awesome, best of luck to Duane and Jenn on this endeavour. The music inspiration for the pub and decor is awesome be sure to stop in and have a pint.

This hotel's reach exceeds its grasp. It aspires to be a run-of-the-mill hotel and part of a chain but it fails repeatedly. I was dismayed from the very first by the fact that there are luggage charts but no way to use them because the rooms are upstairs but there is no elevator and you can't drag a luggage cart up a flight of stairs. The hallway to our room was dim and made dimmer by the black-painted woodwork and doors and red accent pieces in the hall. If it were meant to be sophisticated it looked gloomy instead. The room was sufficiently clean but dim because some of the lamps didn't work and there was no overhead lighting. When I went to take a bath we had to call the front desk to supply a stopper for the bathtub. The clerk was very helpful but had to search all the unused rooms to find the single stopper in the hotel. The windows don't open and the room was stuffy and hot at night. Unless you ask, the sheets are changed every three days. I don't know what day I was there but they seemed OK and I hoped for the best. We didn't try the breakfast because, judging from the menu, it was the same kind of food that we get for free in most other hotel chains. I hope there is another choice for hotels in Sydney when I return because I do not want to repeat this experience.

Our only concern what that the heater/AC unit in our room was extremely dirty. The fins on unit NEED to be cleaned immediately. Felt we were breathing dusty air all night. Husband is a volunteer firefighter and considered this situation a fire hazard. Management was made aware when we checked out.

Our stay was for 1 night only. The staff were very helpful and happy to oblige in any way. But this resort is OLD and although cleaned as best could be, the room was adequate at best. Our king sized bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet so we had a good night's sleep. But some things were just very old and outdated. the hallways were very tired and dismal decor. The bathtub was clean but stained from years of use. The white shower curtain was clean but almost grey from use. There were some nice touches - a flower arrangement with our towel on our bed. We did not try the breakfast or check out the pool. This was not the type of room where I would enjoy staying in the room for a few hours to relax during the day. Location was good. I would only stay here again if my regular choices were full up and we needed a room for a night.

It states lunch is available but it’s not. It states dinner starts at 4, but it doesn’t start till 5-9. Breakfast goes to 11am. I was told I could order wine with food. The restaurant doesn’t sell alcohol. I had a problem with the restaurant more than hotel but unfortunately it’s attached to the hotel so the misleading and contradictory signage just makes me mad and unfortunately the hotel has to suffer the consequences because now I won’t be back.

When I varrived i noticed thecremote would not conrol the volume of the tv and the tv power could not be switched with remote. Told the front desk and they took no action.
I then discovered the telephone did not work. Again I asked the front desk to fix the problem and they did nothing. Having no phone means no 911 service in an emergency. Not impressed by the staff at this hotel.

Staff was friendly, but room wasn’t very clean. It smelled like bleach and mould. They clearly didn’t even wipe the bathroom counter as there was old dried toothpaste all over it. And the floor seemed like it was falling apart. The shower was old and outdated and overall condition of room was in rough shape. Don’t be fooled by the pictures like I was! I would definitely recommend spending a little more on something decent!

Never ever in my life had a worst hospitality experience than I experienced in this hotel .
No access to TV programs other than News channel and Cartoon Network. I asked if theres any music channel of access to youtube , I was denied by the receptionist.
Went inside washroom for a hot shower, again with a disappointment when water was chilling cold even after leaving the tap on for couple of minutes .
Asked for a housekeeper around 8.30pm in the evening since I accidentally spilled water over the floor, I was astounded to know there was no housekeeper available after 7pm .
Asked for water to make coffee using the Keurig machine , the receptionist asked me to use washroom’s tap water .
The most irritating part was the loud unpleasant noise made by the heat pump that caused me a whole night of discomfort.
This is ridiculous and made me feel worthless of the money that I spent for a relaxing vacation .
Never ever recommend anyone to visit there .

Parking lot is terrible! Apparently there’s one in the back but it hasn’t been plowed. Entrance off of road should be better marked- the sign is past the turn. Rooms were okay but lobby and exterior were very tired. One plus was the beds were very comfortable. Hair dryer didn’t work - the plugs in the bathroom were faulty. Staff was lovely though. You get what you pay for. Would have appreciated if breakfast was included.

Wifi not working, front desk could not make change for the vending machine which had nothing in it but Pepsi. Restaurant nor the lounge were open. Otherwise bed was comfortable and room clean. Okay for the cheap price tag, but if you’re looking for anything beyond a bed and a shower best to look elsewhere.
