Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. FO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Very run down and unkept. Definitely not worth almost $200/night. Way nicer hotels right on the boardwalk.

This is not a Wyndham property, it has switched to a Quality Inn. Even the pool, gym, and games room were unusable.

The rooms are very worn. Broken tiles and some peeling paint and wallpaper. Lights that could illuminate a runway switch on in the middle of the night if detecting movement. Worst was no hot water. I ran the tap for over 5 minutes. Upon check out, 15-20 minutes was suggested by the front desk. Wow. I would pass on this one.

I chose this hotel because it advertised an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness centre. I was attending CaperCon and dealing with ongoing knee pain and muscle soreness, so I intentionally booked extra nights before and after the convention with the expectation of using these facilities for rest and recovery.

Unfortunately, upon arrival I learned that the pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness facilities were unavailable during my stay. The hot tub was one of the primary reasons I chose this property. I do not recall seeing this clearly communicated during booking, and the welcome message sent through Hotels.com before arrival made no mention of the closures. Had I known these facilities would not be available, I would likely have booked elsewhere.

The room itself gave the impression of poor cleanliness and deferred maintenance. There were stained carpets and furniture, soap scum buildup in the bathtub, rust around the drain, a cracked sink, damaged fixtures, and bedding that appeared damaged.

I stayed at this property about a year ago and raised similar concerns. At that time I was told improvements and deep cleaning efforts were underway, which was one of the reasons I chose to give the hotel another chance. Unfortunately, I saw little evidence that these issues had been meaningfully addressed.

The staff were polite, but overall the experience did not match the expectations set when booking.

We had to stay the night in Sydney, so we booked this hotel for our son because of the pool. When we checked in, the pool was closed. This should have been posted on all booking sites. When we get in our room, the carpet is sticky and the tub looked so bad, we would not even shower in it. Hotel looks pretty run down, but the sticky carpet had to be one of the most disgusting experiences I have had in a hotel.

Pool and laundry facilities as advertised on their site were not available. Pool down for renovation. Washer/dryer non-existant.
Rooms dated needed refurbishing. Tub rusted, mold on floor, handle on toilet needed jiggling to stop constant running, walls needed washing or painting. Furniture old and we'll used, should be replaced. Breakfast unexceptional though sausages and orange juice were good. Not worth the price paid for 2 day stay.

The bathroom lightbulb was out.. but again even in late at night, the gentleman at the reception helped and got the bulb changed! Breakfast was really good! The ladies in charge there were lovely hosts!

The beds were comfortable, however the carpets were very stained and there was garbage left behind from previous occupants. There was drink spilt and set in on the walls and the 2 of the 4 towels smelled terribly like they were not exchanged in a while. The staff were great and offered to change the room but for what we needed it for we kept it anyway. There was no notice the pool and fitness centre were closed. They appear to be trying to update the hotel. Breakfast was fine. For the price it was ok!

Water seeping from under laminate flooring in room. Our bags were wet in the morning. They moved us to a different room upstairs (no elevator by the way). Dont look under the beds or dressers. The amount of mold in the games room and pool was insane. Pool was constantly merky. They wouldn't discount our room for the inconvenience of moving and having to wash all of our clothes due to the water on the floor. They said giving us the other room was basically good enough. The staff were nice, but the state of the facility and poor customer relations by management were way less than to be desired.

This is a really dirty and rundown hotel, the pictures are nothing like what the hotel really looks like. We checked in and stayed for 2 hours before deciding to ask for a refund and look for another hotel. The carpets are stained and were crunchy when walking on them, the mattress was stained, the washroom was lined with mold and mildew, our toilet wouldn't flush, a line of mildew covered the bottom of the tub. I took pictures of everything and submitted them to Expedia for a refund. Thankfully the staff was great and very understanding. I asked for a refund, they offered me another room, unfortunately they do not have an elevator so that meant climbing stairs and I was travelling with elderly folks who are not able to do that.

Shower was cold. After 10 mins of running the water, finally got to a somewhat warm temp, but still not what I would consider an adequate temperature for showering. Carpet in room was full of stains. Hotel room and bathroom were desperately in need of an overhaul. Staff was good, initial room had a smoke alarm that was chirping every 30 seconds. Front desk staff graciously changed our room without incident.

The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a standard hotel free breakfast. Views from the breakfast room and other areas of the hotel were excellent. Several longterm, very noticeable, maintenance issues need to be addressed. Ceiling tile above the shower was mouldy and damp, sagging down, from a long term leak above. The wall near the shower also showed signs of the leak from the room above. Valance above window broken and sagging above window. The hotel needs maintenance now and rooms in this condition should not be rented.

Upon arrival we were assigned to a room that was in complete unacceptable condition to stay in heavily soiled carpets, and dog food was found on the floor, water damage around the windows. There were stains on the lampshade and the wall, there was a very concerning amount of dust around the heating unit, and a thick layer of dust on top of the microwave, light fixtures did not work and when asked to change to a new room, we were charged unknowingly an extra amount.

Yes, the property is dated, but clean. Stuff is friendly and there’s selection of items to choose from for complimentary breakfast.
I liked the Dove shampoo/conditioner/body wash and soap, but we were 3 people (2 adults and 8 year old) and we had just one of a kind and those bottles are small. We were staying 1 nights, so it wasn’t much of a problem and we could have asked for more I guess, but seemed not enough.
I like that they have pool, hot tub and sauna. They also have gym.
Overall I am happy with our stay and would recommend staying here.

Definitely 5 stars for this hotel! The staff was great to deal with, even with the weirdest questions. The pool and hot tub were amazing. It was such a quiet little area. Sadly the sauna was out of service when we were there. But the arcade area was plentiful! It had lots of options. And don’t get me started on the breakfast! It was great! Had lots of flavour in the sausage, the pancakes were great and the orange juice and coffee actually had flavour! If you’re staying in town and want somewhere that’s pretty central, I would definitely recommend!

There was a massive pothole in the parking lot. There was a large gap under my door and mold in the bathroom. The tub drain had no drain grate. The tap rotated 360. My room was also for disabled folks. There was no channel guide with limited channels.
The sauna was closed. No one cared that there were unattended children in the pool, and the pool and the hot tub were filthy. You had to walk through the game room to get to the pool area.
The highlight was the staff. Very friendly and efficient.

The room was not in great condition. The tub was very slow to drain leaving standing water in the tub after a shower for a long time. The sink in the bathroom also didn’t drain. The toilet would continue to run after it was flushed. I’d remove the back of the toilet tank to stop it from continuing to run. The carpet around the window was stained with what looked like water damage. Thinking about it now makes me question mold in that area of the room. Breakfast was good. Pool was nice. Front desk staff was friendly.

I’m a little torn writing this, as the staff were all amazing and went above and beyond, from the front desk to maintenance… but hotel itself is really not in great shape.

The beds themselves were very clean and comfortable. Lobby was great. But the carpet in the room and throughout the hotel was pretty gross. Like blue/grey stains, super colorful paint stains? And just too many dark stains to feel comfortable in socks in the room.

The bathroom smelled of vinegar, not cleaner, just vinegar & the light over the sink was barely on. Maintenance did come quickly to resolve some issues (beeping safe, and broken drawer that wouldn’t close), and extra pillows were delivered quickly as well.

Our regular hotel options were full this weekend due to a tournament and so I picked this one over other’s available due to the pool. But that was a mistake: Theres rust everywhere (not in the pool itself), peeling paint and rusty doors. My kids went in the pool and the water was extremely cloudy, they didn’t want to stay long. The shower didn’t work and almost came out of the wall. The pool area was really dark overall.

Unfortunately, I just don’t think the place warrants the price I paid, $245 total Plus pet fee.

The breakfast was nice to have, I’d suggest sticking to toast and cereal.

I do think if they renovate it will be a great option in Sydney, as the staff is really great. Just need to bring the quality of the hotel up or bring the price down and know what you’re getting.

Over charged for what that room was by a long shot but with everything going on in town they saw an opportunity and took it to double their money on what the room was worth. Oh well it’s not illegal. The kids had fun in the pool and on the one or two games that still work in the game room.
