Walked to the shops/restaurants - even at night it was so relaxing and easy.
We took to boat in front of the hotel to Portofino for 10 euros and returned by bus.. all very easy, just follow the crowd :-).
ALL the staff at the hotel were wonderful, from breakfast to dinner, from checkin to checkout…We were made to feel like family and at home!
Breakfast had more than enough choices included plus additional options such as avocado toast and salmon etc. If you wanted more!

If you like loud music until midnight on a Sunday, this is the place. Our room overlooked the open area below and we were surprised by the disco/rave style music that started at 10pm. Was like it was in the room.
We arrived and luckily I had a few Lysol wipes because I felt like our room could use a deep clean. The pocket door for the bathroom had all kinds of yucky spots that easily came off after I wiped it down. The steam towel rack looked like it had never been cleaned. The hotel is dated, which was somewhat expected, but again, not very clean.
Overall we enjoyed our visit, but would choose a different property.
The restaurant was amazing, food was exceptional and the staff were all top notch. The Sea view was unbeatable.

Very good hotel, service. No better location, close to everything. Rooms not very big. You pay a lot for the location. Public entertainment, bands, disco, other demonstrations is immediately next door until midnight. Not quiet in the evenings. This was late August, and I cannot speak to other times of the year. The clientele are mostly of the well-to-do type. No pool, no fitness center. Public beach a short walk. Good breakfast included, some specialty items for an additional cost.

The hotel was very well located, but the service was generally average. The elevator didn't work properly. The bed was two pieces pushed together and wasn't comfortable. The room was relatively small, and the bathroom didn't have enough shelves to store toiletries.
When I say average service, I mean that no one helped you carry your belongings up, and you had to carry them up three flights of stairs. However, the breakfast service was very efficient, as was the staff.

I loved my stay at Miramare. The room was small but very comfortable with a fantastic view. The breakfast was great and the restaurant was delicious. All of the staff were friendly and gracious, and I especially loved one of the bartenders, Nic I think, he was so fun and kind and attentive, and I loved chatting with him while having some wine and snacks. I loved Rapallo overall, so quaint and beautiful. I will be back!

We had an amazing experience with the Miremare Hotel. I was traveling with my two adult children and one teen son, they accommodated us with one queen bed and two pull out beds. It was a little tight with all of the beds in there, as expected but the view was splendid. We could see the ocean to our right from our patio and one window, and then the view of the town just ahead. The weather was a little cooler as we traveled in late March, but we were able to sleep with our windows and patio door open the whole night and hear the bell tower in the mornings. The hotel is a a classic Italian building, old style elevator, which was cool! It is kept very clean and in proper working order, the maids come to clean the room daily, the management is on site to oversee the day to day operations and the staff work hard to make sure that everything is clean and tidy. They let us use an iron, and unfortunately, it stopped working, so one of the staff offered to iron our clothing for us, which was so kind! They also had helpful instructions about parking in the area and re-heated my teen’s pizza for him for a late snack! It was fun to enjoy the street market directly across the street on Thursday morning and there is both a small botega and a pharmacy conveniently located behind the hotel in case you need any late night, snacks or pharmacy items.
I will say the highlight of the experience was Giovanni in the restaurant for breakfast every morning. He really brought the life every morning,

The view was definitely incredible! …but that’s about it. The bed was so uncomfortable that I woke up multiple times through the night with back or hip pain. Didn’t get a super helpful or welcoming vibe from the staff. Also the keys are attached to bulky annoying weights you have to carry around.

The positive strengths were the position and location of the hotel and the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were very basic with functional decor below expectations. First night no AC with a high humidity hot night. No sleep. Second night, club 30 meter away blasted music till 1pm.. they had a license to play music! The windows didn’t do much to keep the noise off. It much sleep. The room way way tight for the $350 a night we paid for it.

Upon arrival, the room did not match the description and photos in advertising: small, crowded, tight shower area, inadequate for a couple. Closet door was damaged, lock and key fell off when door was opened; no key for the safe to place your valuables. Next day we were moved to another room, a bit more spacious, but still below expectations. Shower was about a 3' X 3' with a corner opening, no place for shampoo, soap, etc. Towels were placed on a small stool/chair, like those used for make up. Way too expensive for what they offered. Staff was not too willing to cooperate upon arrival, although a MGR offered to pay for our first dinner at their restaurant, graceful.

Location and charm of property are unmatched! The view of the bay, ease of location, and overall charm were perfect. The only reason I cannot give this place a GLOWING 5 star review is the bed... it was old, and just not super comfortable. Upgrade the mattresses and this place would be unstoppable! The staff was fabulous and we loved our balcony so much.

The staff from front of house to housekeeping were friendly and professional. The room was large with a comfortable bed and excellent view. The hotel has a lovely old world charm, which includes a working art deco lift. The location is excellent, right on the waterfront and only 5mins walk from the train station in Rapallo.

Lovely “. fin de siecle” hotel right on the front. Huge rooms. Spotless. Wonderful breakfast.Fabulous staff tried so hard to help us out when Ryanair cancelled our flight at short notice.
Parking problematic. Only two dedicated spaces opposite hotel. Large car park nearby but €2 an hour for every hour. Overnight parking on main promenade is free after 10pm

The staff was excellent and the breakfast was good. Only issue we had was that the Wi-Fi was very weak and would cut out every few minutes. Becoming very tough if you’re planning on using Wi-Fi to do some work. Other than that everything was good.

(1) Location: right on the promenade facing the water, and 5 minute walk from the train station, in the midst of restaurants, cafes, gourmet shops etc.
(2) Breakfast was outstanding: excellent coffee to order, very good buffet, beautiful breakfast room facing the water and lovely staff
(3) The price: def get value given #1 & #2 above
(4) Room was warm on our arrival and cozy during our stay (January 2023)
Now what's not so good:
(1a) Paper thin walls: 1st night noise from a loud TV in an adjacent room was bad but the desk clerk did speak to that guest & it was lowered; 2nd night a guest next door was clearly ill, flushing the commode, running faucets, coughing from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m.
(1b) Outside noise was minimal given shutters and solid windows
(2) The blanket in the cupboard had not been laundered - unsettling to find after using it on the bed.
I would say it's a good option IF you can request a room away from other guests? Maybe not in high season.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is great. But the rooms need some maintenance. The toilet seat was loose and in the bathroom one bulb needed to be replaced on the mirror light. Also, the shower needed to be cleaned better as some black stuff came off the tiles. Also, the plaza on the side of the hotel gets cleaned every morning very early with very loud equipment so be prepared to get a wakeup noise at 7:00 am.

The hotel has beautiful views of marina. Great check in with pleasant staff that are helpful and speak English. Rooms are clean, remodeled big bathroom, with ample towels and nice shower. We had nice balcony and view. Parking during high season could be an issue. We found last free parking space on street reserved for guests. Nice dining room. We had complimentary breakfast buffet which was excellent. Fresh fruit, great cappuccino, eggs, etc.

The position was fabulous & the view stunning, unfortunately we found the beds to be very uncomfortable and it is very loud at night time but other than this is was great.
The shower was one of the best we came across on our travels, the room itself was a little small & breakfast runs out quite early as they only cool so much apparently.
From a family perspective the washing service was definitely one of the longest at 72 hours where other hotels were either the same day or within 24 hours.
Ultimately the view and location were wonderful.

A lovely hotel with a quaint old-fashioned lift, right in the heart of town. The train station is nearby (10 mins) and you can occasionally catch a trip boat opposite the hotel. Our room was small but adequate with a sea-view. Fresh coffee daily with our breakfast made it very memorable stay.

Wonderful hotel, perfect location in rapallo!
We had a wonderful stay here! The rooms were comfortable with lovely views. The AC worked perfectly and is always the first thing I look for when renting a hotel in Italy! The room appeared very clean as did the linens. Our shower grout was a little bit dirty and the door didn’t slide well, but everything else was top notch! The buffet breakfast was especially wonderful- delicious and there was something for everyone. They kindly held our luggage after check out, and everyone seemed happy to provide good customer service. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons: was on 4th floor and elevator wasn’t working. Was old style single elevator with metal cage and was offline when we arrived and had to carry suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. Booked queen bed and got 3 single beds (more like cots with horrible pillows)

Really good stay here. Definitely would recommend for solo travelers. Staff was amazing especially the night manager who recommended an amazing site-seeing itinerary. Breakfast was ok. Great location, clean rooms with a comfortable bed and amazing shower. There is a restaurant downstairs with great food. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit

The front reception, both the male but especially the female were excellent receptionists as well as the head chef Uthman and servers (don’t know everyone’s names) they were extremely welcoming and courteous and made the stay very nice. Also appreciated the fact they spoke English which was very helpful. The female receptionist was super nice and helpful and provided great suggestions with planning day trips out of Rapallo which allowed us to see Portofino and Camogli during the 2 days we were there, which could have almost not happened. I would totally return to this hotel due to the nice staff alone, although room was small, very cozy and the location was also amazing! Right on the promenade across from the sea/marina and walking distance from train station which was very important to us as well as central to everything you would need during a visit. By far the best hotel experience so far and have stayed in multiple hotels in 4 other countries in the past 3 weeks already! Thank you to the hotel staff for such a nice stay!😃 such an experience goes along way when traveling from abroad and for first time Italy trip. Absolutely loved visiting Rapallo!😁

The hotel is well located with parking available just across the street for those arriving early enough. Clean, comfortable with an excellent group of staff. We felt catered to and warmly welcomed each time we passed the front desk. The restaurant served as the backdrop for breakfast with wonderful water views and people watching. Across the street, the esplanade welcome locals and tourists alike with warm evening walks or gelato fueled day strolls. The room was very clean as was the hotel and amenities were adequate. Rapallo is a great seaside town with the quaintness of other smaller towns but with better services including a water taxi/ ferry to visit Portofino or Santa Marguerita for a reasonable fare of €15 return. Tourist office is just next door a shopping and restaurants abound. Great time. Ciao !!

Parking was a challenge. Machine took euros and didn't give a ticket. Asked hotel manager for help. Locals tried to help but imachine wouldn't work. Tried another machine. Got a tocket for dashboard but when we came back from Cinque Terra there was a ticket on the windshield. We got wrong type of ticket so we were penalized. Hotel couldn't help. Talked to man giving tickets the next morning and he couldn't help. Hertz said they will charge credit card plus service fee.
