We stayed here for one night. the room with a view of the lake is so nice and being right on the water was so fun. We really enjoyed that. We ate at the restaurant at night and it was pretty good. Nothing crazy special but an enjoyable dinner on the water. No night life around here and nothing really walking distance. That was our only reservation.

Cute boutique hotel in Tremezzo. Best part was the views from the restaurant, the breakfast provided, and the proximity to 2 different ferry docks and the C110 bus stop. The staff, front desk specifically, were super friendly and helpful. Helped us understand the ferry schedules and get taxis as getting around Lake Como is hard if you do not have your own vehicle.
Tremezzo is a quiet and small town so this is a perfect hotel for a nice and quaint stay.

This was a lucky and incredible find!! Summer in Lake Como is very busy and I was lucky to find this beautiful hotel. The location, Tremezzo is perfect. You are walking distance to bars and restaurants and importantly a stones throw from a bus stop and ferry stop. The owners and staff are kind and very welcoming. The breakfast and food was very generous and lovely. My room was wonderful! On the water with spectacular views. Spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The bathroom was perfect!!
As I said, this hotel was a beautifully incredible find and it would be a pleasure to recommend it. I rarely write reviews, however, I could not fault anything. I look forward to a return stay.

This was our family’s favourite hotel throughout our trip in Italy! The tall gentleman at reception was exceptional! He was so kind and helpful with figuring out transport to Lenno and Villa Dell Balbianello. Other staff were also courteous and friendly and we were never made to feel bad about our lack of Italian language. Location is amazing on the lake and within minutes to the Tremezzo ferry dock. Our room was spacious with plenty of room for our family of 4, and was very clean and smelled lovely. There was a window looking out on the lake which we enjoyed in the morning and evening. Bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower head. We were worried about making a mess with the shower head since there wasn’t a curtain so everyone just bathed which was perfectly fine. We thought it was so cute that the rooms have individual names. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and we still reminisce about the quality of the made-to-order eggs (different styles) and the best crisp bacon we have ever eaten! The continental spread was delightful with croissants, tarts, breads, meats, cheeses, and smoked salmon. Excellent cappuccino and juices. There are nice restaurants close by and Villa Carlotta is about 10 minutes away and exceeded my expectations. Amazing trip to Lake Como area and we would 100% recommend Hotel La Darsena!!

What a AMAZING view! This is not a “fancy” room, and the hotel doesn’t have many amenities (like a pool or gym) that many other restaurants have. But this is my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was good size and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was awesome. Amazing view, great food and service with decent prices. The breakfast was 5 star. Same amazing view with a huge selection of great food, juices and coffee drinks! Did I mention the view? No road between you and the lake. Right on the water!!

But 3 min walk from the boat stop for easy connections to nearby towns etc. Only negative - my new phew complained about the head being like sleeping on cardboard. Would overall recommend and would stay again if need a ‘comfortable’ stay

We enjoyed Breakfast, Dinner & cocktails overlooking the lake. Our room was modern and the bathroom huge. Value for the money was generous. The sheets and towels were premium. Breakfast was premium with coffee served in individual carafes, bacon and scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked. We would 100% want to stay here again.

Arriving in Tremezzina was like landing in Paradise and Hotel La Darsena was just the icing on the cake. I booked not having any real idea where to stay in Como and we could not have been happier. This adorable little boutique hotel has the most magnificent view from it's restaurant terrace and this was the main reason I booked. We had a loft room which was adorable and looked out over the lake. The location is perfect, Bellagio is literally a stones throw across the water and the ferry terminal is a 2 minute walk. It is so convenient. The slow ferry is about 2hrs from como but the rapid is only about 40 minutes. There is a beautiful park almost next door that you can plant yourself with a towel and swim if you wish. If you stay here, definitely take the ferry to Varenna, the most gorgeous town, you wont be disappointed. I was so happy we based ourselves here and was sad to leave this idyllic location. Do not base yourselves in Como Central, spend the day there exploring instead, any of these small towns North are much nicer. I definitely hope to come back. Bear in mind, this is a boutique hotel, you wont have room service or a kettle etc but you will feel like family and the rooms are generous and clean and so welcoming. The restaurant was delicious, one of the best meals we had while we were there. 10/10 recommend.

I wanted to stay somewhere and picked La Darsena based only on the reviews. Boy, was I not disappointed. We are travelling around Italy for three weeks and this was the best place we stayed, by far. We had the Loft room, lakeside. The room was very spacious and had a view of the lake from the window (some of the smaller rooms have a small balcony). The room had everything we needed, except for a kettle for some reason. The breakfast was excellent, and the parking (5euro/day) is right beside the Hotel. A Ferry terminal is only a three minute walk from the Hotel. We will be back!

This was our second stay at Hotel La Darsena and as with our previous stay, we could not fault it. Wonderful hotel with rooms that have the most incredible view/balcony. Perfect for couples/family. The ferry stops just a minute walk from the hotel, so this hotel is a perfect base if you want to get about the lake using the ferry. We also had a car and parking was free onsite. I imagine this however could be a problem during summer months if it is busy, as parking is limited.

This is a family run hotel and you get the best service that’s possible in this industry. Just above and beyond!!!
The entire staff is very courteous and kind. The room was well prepared with the additional bed for our kid, Breakfast was great and we loved their super fresh Mozzarella. Just wow! We were traveling in low season so naturally most businesses were closed and on one night we were stuck at Mennagio ferry terminal. We make a phone call to the hotel, they try to call a taxi for us but when that fails, the owner herself picks us up within minutes. The same repeats next month when we had to catch an early morning ferry. Just fabulous and the entire family is really kind and courteous.
The hotel itself is located on the lake and away from hustle bustle of tourist towns like Bellagio. We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets and the calmness of Tremmezzino. The villa Balbienello is at a nice walking distance and we took some great pictures on our way. Just, just beautiful! We will visit again for sure

Pros: very accessible for both high speed ferry and mid lake combo pass. Loft room has lake views and large space. Good on-site restaurant. Property on the lake. Cons: 4.50 cover charge is high for area. We had a beer, coffee and tiramisu in restaurant and total charge was very high.

I want to start by saying that the concierge was friendly and very helpful, and our check-in process was smooth. The hotel was decently situated as well.

We were, however, somewhat disappointed in our stay. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, The single window was small so it was hard to get any air movement in the room.

The lack of outdoor space to sit in the outside (outside of the dining terrace, which we were not permitted to use without going for a meal) was unfortunate. It would not have been difficult to designate a small shared terrace for guests who didn't have a private one.
When we had breakfast, we asked to sit in the shaded area of the terrace as we wanted to be outside but not in the sun, and we were told we were not allowed.

Our minibar had also not been refreshed as there was a partially drunk bottle in it, which leads me to question how well the rooms are cleaned.

The staff and views from the terrace were amazing and so friendly. Every day there was great breakfast that is included and I had a lovely time while staying there for a wedding. It is not a luxury property, but it is clean and friendly and everything you need to sleep well.

Be aware there is no AC from October till it gets warm again. That's the only concern I have as someone who runs hot at night.

Situated over the lake it is a small hotel close to the ferry and restaurants but no shopping area. Rooms are comfortable but relatively basic. The restaurant is high quality and very popular. It is in the central area of the lake so getting by ferry to the most popular villages is easy although the ferry system and schedule are typically chaotic.

The hotel was right on the lake , near the bus stop to and from Como and near the boat stop to Como and other places on the lake. There are lots of places to eat just along from it and a path along the lake to take a beautiful walk along. The breakfast buffet is included in the price and offered a wide choice. The dinner menu was excellent, and food gorgeous, but not cheap, a special place to eat, but not every day unless you’re wealthy. The staff were charming and very helpful with boat times places go etc. We had a back room overlooking the road, the large widows kept out the noise, if it’s in your budget get one overlooking the lake, we enjoyed the view everyday visiting around the lake so you can get by without the view from your room. Traveling to it from Milan airport & Como by public transport, try to get there before the last bus at 8.30pm, or you will have to get a taxi. The bus is very cheap less then €4 for an hour trip along windy roads. The electronic stop announcements didn’t work but the driver dropped us at our hotel when I asked him, I showed him on the map on my phone as he didn’t understand what I was saying. On the way back we took the fast boat to Como they do not run late but start early. €15 but a lovely view and took a little less time than the bus. The other boats are slower but cost less,€10. Very easy to get to the sights around Tremezzo and across the lake. Loved the hotel and the position.

No bar/lounge area but outside terrace for warm weather and excellent restaurant. Large choice at breakfast. The hotel is on a busy road so choose lakeside room if possible. Convenient parking beside hotel and walking distance to bars, restaurants and ferry. A lovely stay.

Great place to stay for your hopping around Lake Como. The hotel is literally by the lake and about one min’s walk to the pier! Free car park is right next door! Great breakfast buffet and the staff is very hospitable.

Very Nice Place To Stay

we spent a night in this hotel while we traveling to northern Italy, its a lovely place , quiet , very nice stuff along with a very good in-house restaurant.

Lovely hotel to stay right on the lake.

Very friendly professional service. Our room (street side) spacious and quiet at night. We had an excellent though reasonably pricey dinner on the balcony with stunning view across Lake Como. Breakfast buffet good. We were able to get a free park outside the hotel. Great position for walking to Villa Carlotta.

Beautiful experience

Beautiful position on lake Como. The restaurant terrace feels as if it's over the lake. Welcoming and helpful, friendly staff. We returned for a second overnight stay a week later and they gave us a free room upgrade. Excellent food - we were offered a dish adapted for vegetarians which was delicious.
